i still cant get over how its like...

rain in washington: soothing, calming, fits nicely into the gothic aesthetic, clean water rolling off of pine needles and fern fronds collecting into clear pools. genuinely feels like a gentle, cleansing shower.

rain in california: stinky, stanky, musty, dirty before it even hits the ground, puddles look and smell like a pea soup slurry made from the dust that collects on ceiling fans.

#nothing makes you realize your in CA more than when it rains #although one of the benefits CA has over WA is like on the rare occasion that our temps dip into WA ranges #my whole body feels like frozen taffy and getting up to move becomes herculian/hellacious body pain #and it just makes me wonder DAMB how tf did i live like that
