there come a time when you must realize not everything in the world needs to or ought to be associated or made about taylor swift and this is one of those times. i’m sorry but in what way is barbie and ken dear john? respectfully reflect a bit (not about taylor but on you without taylorswift associations) because you’re losing touch

Anywho I am referring to them in the new Barbie movie- so many lyrics relate to their relationship in it. I tagged that post the Barbie movie lmao.

“Long were the nights when my days once revolved around you” screams Ken when he was in love with Barbie in the beginning. How sad he would be without Barbie.

“You paint me a blue sky and go back to turn it to rain” is Ken literally taking over the Dreamhouse, something he was so desperate to be invited to.

“The girl in the dress cried the whole way home” Ken literally made Barbie cry and feel like she wasn’t pretty or even anything.

“Well maybe it’s me and my blind optimism to blame” Barbie was sooo excited to meet Sasha, her girl, and she was so hopeful for how everyone would greet her in the real world. She had blind optimism and it turned into something terrible for her.

“And you’ll add my name to your long list of traitors who don’t understand” is Barbie to Ken, when he betrays her but he feels like she’s the one who had already betrayed him (by not being in love with him, he feels it’s a betrayal)

“You’re an expert at sorry and keeping lines blurry” ok so Ken never apologized for taking everything from Barbie and changing Barbie forever. She had to comfort HIM at the end of the movie even though he did objectively worse to her.

“All the girls you’ve run dry have tired, lifeless eyes because you burnt them out” is just relating to the movie in general and how women are treated in the workplace.

“But I took your matches before fire could catch me so don’t look now. I’m shining like fireworks over your sad empty town.” Is Barbie to Ken when she took Patriarchy from him and took her life back and debrainwashed all the Barbies before it was too late.

Anywho chill, if you have such a problem with me liking/relating things to Taylor Swift then get off my page. Like it’s genuinely none of your buisness? Why does it matter to you if I relate the Barbie movie to dear John?

Like you’re not my therapist so fuck off with your reflection bit and passive aggressive undertones, and maybe think about why you’re so upset I related a song to a Barbie movie when so much of my page(s) is dedicated to looking into the deeper meaning of things and expanding on stuff.

Also we’re not in a quest in a fantasy land, so drop the “there come a time” line 😭. I’m perfectly happy finding random things to relate to Taylor, and if annoys you, gtfo or block me. Stop trying to hate on everything, and if you’re going to, at least don’t be a coward about it and turn off anonymous lmao.

Plus I post about many things not taylor swift related, so it isn’t even everything. Just one movie. Lol.
