Hexapods
There are no mammalian hexapods.
Most hexapods are reptiles and birds (or birdlike reptiles) but there are some amphibians.
Amphibians are typically confined to cave systems.
Some species (not griffonoids) have three sets of walking legs.
Some species have two sets of walking legs and a set of wings.
Some species have legs and wings (or legs and legs), plus a set of raptorial grasping claws.
Most griffonoids and winged dragonoids are carnivores and insectivores.
Most dragonoids are pursuit predators.
Some mid-sized griffonoids are scavengers.
Griffons and griffonoids are social, and form packs or flocks. Some griffons are territorial, especially when brooding.
Dragons are isolated, but some species mate for life and very few species form basks of 3-5 individuals.
Dragons are usually ambush predators.
The largest dragons and griffons have been known to occasionally predate on humanoids.
