The important question is, how do you feel about willicia?
honestly will and alicia are a ship that i almost always forget about unless i'm actively watching the show.* BUT!! they also make me feel more unhinged than almost any other ship in existence. and that's really saying something.
*possibly because will’s untimely and devastating demise dealt me so much psychic damage when i first watched that i didn’t want to dwell on them too much.
it's like...the little looks. the yearning. the we-can't-be-together-but-we-can't-stay-apart-ness of it all. the way will leaves her a CIRCUMSTANCE-CHANGING VOICEMAIL at the end of season one ("my plan is i love you, ok?" UM????!!!!!), and eli gold fucking DELETES IT before alicia hears it, and then will thinks that means she didn’t want to make a PLAN, and meanwhile all alicia has is the voicemail (where he basically said forget about it) that he left before The Voicemail.
and it's something about the hotel elevator kiss at the end of season two, and the sneaking around, and the palpable sexual tension while they're, uh, lol, literally at work, and the messy affair and the messy breakup, and the way they keep *visibly pining after each other*, again, at their place of work. something about the betrayals, and the hurt feelings, and the way will gets fucking SHOT IN A COURTROOM in the MIDDLE OF SEASON FIVE (they couldn’t even give him a finale exit?? like. holy hell?) before they can figure their shit out.
(since georgetown. he’d loved her since georgetown. SINCE. GEORGETOWN.)
tragic. heartbreaking. doomed by the narrative, some might say.
(now, all that said, i’m also fond of alicia/kalinda. kalinda is SO badass and so is alicia and they’re both so…. <333 and their dynamic is fascinating to me. i just think there’s a lot of potential there.)
THANK YOU FOR ASKING, i appreciate you <333
