[ i’m crying over the spices from the west albedo dialogue responses and i keep shoving food at him................

i ended up compiling a list of his preferences manually before finding out that the genpact wiki has. everyone’s preferences and voicelines listed whoops

Ben 10 Primal AU

Setting: Earth, but humans never advanced past the stone, their natural predators still roam around along side Mammoths/other extinct animals from that era, most aliens consider the planet to be a "nature reserve".

Ben and the Omnitrix:

Ben (age 5) discovers the Omnitrix well learning to hunt and gather with his cousin Gwen, by their grandfather Max (he's in his 40s). The Omnitrix attached to his right arm and the first alien he turned into was Wildmutt. Max and Gwen thought he was a wolf at first.

The village of Bellwood thinks Ben is a witch/cursed by evil and shunned him for the most part. His immediate family still interacts with him and Max is trying to convince others that Ben's actually a sky god (they have no concept of aliens, but Max still had kids with Vendora and met aliens before).

The Primal Omnitrix acts as an advanced universal translator that can translate Vulpimancer speech or any animal species with similar intelligence.

Rook Blonko:

A white Sabertooth Tiger, that became friends with Ben as a cub. His fur is stained with blue dyes collected by Ben, so the Bellwood villagers wouldn't attack him.

Ben is small and light enough for Rook to carry on his back. He generally helps Ben to hunt and scares off any would be attackers or other animals that want to harm Ben or his family.

Albedo and his friends:

Primal Albedo is origin basically the same as Prime Albedo. Except when his Ultimtrix connected with the Omnitrix, that is what caused him to become a permanent shapeshifter. As punishment for meddling with Asmuth's experiment (he decided to study Ben's behaviour with and his village's reactions to the Omnitrix, instead of taking it back), Albedo is forced to live on earth without access to advanced technology. (He has to figure out how to make a radio himself without conventional resources, if he wants any illegal technology brought to earth.).

Albedo had tamed a Mammoth, a Hyacinth Macaw, and a black Grey Wolf, he named Hugh, Frigid, and Swamp-Foot (Swamps for short), respectively. They can all talk with Albedo as the Primal Ultimtrix was based off the Primal Omnitrix.

The people of Bellwood village think he's the witch/Shaman that cursed Ben. However since Albedo has advanced medical knowledge (he's still is a Galvan), they treat him with more respect and will ask/beg for his help when someone gets seriously sick or injured. Albedo though, has no interest in actually teaching any of the villagers, because he thinks they're stupid.

His relationship with Ben is difficult, since they are kind of friends, but Albedo still blames him for everything that went wrong in his life. Ben and Rook also tend to find ways to destroy, hinder, and/or cause general chaos, whenever he's trying to create advanced technology to help him escape earth. Hugh also gets Ben to destroy stuff when he thinks Albedo is close to leaving, because he doesn't want to lose his smart human friend and thinks Frigid and Swamps will leave him too if Albedo is gone.

Problems with Ben 10: Alien Force

The more I watch Alien Force, the more I find wrong with it.

First Albedo is pretty much Kevin's replacement as a villain with Ben's powers, not to mention both of his appearances in AF have similar plots to a couple of Kevin's appearances in the OS:

Ben 10 S2E3: Ben's aliens are causing trouble. Gwen & Max think it's Ben and there's something wrong with him. Reveal Kevin. Episode ends with a Alien vs Alien fight that leads to Kevin's appearance changing permanently thanks to the Omnitrix.

Ben 10 AF S2E3: Ben's aliens are causing trouble. Gwen & Kevin think it's Ben and there's something wrong with him.Reveal Albedo. Episode ends with an Alien vs Alien fight that leads to Albedo's appearance changing permanently thanks to the Omnitrix

Ben 10 S2E13: Vilgax and Kevin team up to take Ben down together. Vilgax betrays Kevin

Ben 10 AF S3E19-20: Vilgax and Albedo team up to take Ben down together. Vilgax betrays Albedo.

Next point: Retcons All AF/UA fans who hate Omniverse because of it's "horrible retcons" act like Omniverse is the first show to do retcons. At least the Omniverse retcons make sense in the OS canon and don't come out of nowhere.

Examples: Kevin's crush on Gwen

Gwen being part alien, making all the progress learning about magic in the OS null because she was just born with the power.

(I liked in the original series both Ben and Gwen had to use their powers)

Kevin changing from a kid that lived in New York alone because his parents abandoned him because of his powers to having a loving mother and a father who had the same powers as him that just happened to have been partners with Max

You would think that if Max was partnered with Kevin's dad, he would of told Ben & Gwen about it after they learned his plumber backstory. Also, you think he'd want to to talk to Kevin to calm him down, since he apparently knew what happens with those powers.

With this story, you’re saying Max willingly let the son of one of his former partners stay in a seemingly inescapable alien prison dimension

Next point: Gwen's powers revealed to not be magic...until they reveal it actually is magic when they want to bring back magic-based villains

AF's stance on Gwen's powers:

S1: Kevin: "It's not magic"

Gwen's dad: "It's not magic"

Explanation: Gwen's part Anodite which is an alien species made out of pure energy, but Ben didn't get the same powers because...reasons

S2: Kevin: "Do you have any spells...?

Gwen:”They’re not spells"

S3: Writer 1: "Let's bring Charmcaster back this season."

Writer 2: "Didn't we retcon magic out though?"

Writer 1: "Oh yeah...Let's say the pure energy Anodites are made of is magic even though we had a whole episode episode in the 1st season dedicated to explaining that it wasn't"

Writer 2: "Perfect! Makes complete sense"

Also, S3 of Alien Force, some moments make it seem like the writers were annoyed with the OS fans not liking the way S1-2 were so they took the 2 biggest things people hated about the OS and amped it up: Ben being a jerk and the Omnitrix giving Ben the wrong alien.

Writer 1: "Won't fans realize this?"

Writer 2: "Nah, they'll be too busy being excited about the fact that we're bringing back OS villains: Vilgax, Charmcaster, Ghostfreak, Hex to notice any problems with the story."
