Aziraphale took a deep breath, caught the heady scent of roses from his garland, and longed for the resinous scent of myrrh that he had for so long associated with roses.

He smiled a little to himself, thinking what it would have been like to attend that symposium at Agathon’s house with Crowley instead. They would have met as if by accident, even though nowadays it was rarely an accident, given how close their houses were to each other. They would have shared that last empty supper couch, drinking wine together. Crowley would have leaned against his legs, and tried to make him laugh inappropriately by adding snide remarks to the philosopher’s statements, whispering her comments in Aziraphale’s ear in a low and sensuous voice. Maybe a human would have been jealous that such a beautiful and desirable hetaira was with him, a modest and unassuming poet. After all, he had run into Crowley’s lovers before in public, and they were not all kind nor understanding men. But Crowley would have laughed it off and charmed them all into friendship or at least an uneasy truce.

And then once they had played a few rounds of kottabos – and of course Crowley would win, as usual, even against the best human players – the demon would catch his eye with a wink and toss down the last dregs of wine into the shape of an alpha for Aziraphale...

1. Willow Rosenburg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

Willow kicked started my love of the sidekick. She was just so sweet and adorable and pretty much everything nerdy little me hoped she’d be. I loved watching her grow and I loved her even when she failed and went off path. I shipped her with EVERYONE (except Kennedy) and Willow x Oz and Willow x Tara will forever be two of my favourite ships

2. Malcom Reynolds (Firefly)

It was hard to pick one character because this show had such an incredible cast I truly loved every single character but Captain Mal was just everything great about the Moral Outlaw archetype

3. Winston Bishop (New Girl)

Actual love and light of my love. He’s such a delightful weirdo and I spend every episode of New Girl just waiting to hear what he’s gonna come out with. If the show is actually over I’m gonna miss him

4. Sharon Agathon (Battlestar Galactica)

My gorgeous Slytherin, married to her sweet Hufflepuff, the fighting Agathons

5. Caroline Forbes (The Vampire Diaries)

Honestly TVD can go do one but at least the show gave me my bright happy optomist Caroline Forbes Salvatore, and gave me my favourite ship of all time, Steroline

6. Jem Carstairs (The Infernal Devices - Shadowhunter series)

I’m always such a sucker for the good guy, and Jem’s story and life were so tragic but he always tried to stay happy and good, and he loved Will and Tessa so much

7. Elaine Belloc (Lucifer comics)

She’s such a fundementally cool character, I loved her inate goodness and I lived for her interactions with Lucifer

8. Ororo Munroe (X-Men comics)

Storm is forevr my favourite character in the Marvel Universe she’s literally a Goddess and I will forever be bitter about how the movies portray her

9. Andy Dwyer (Parks and Recreation)

It’s hard to pick a fave from such an amazing cast but Andy is just a puppy of aa human being , he’s just so lovable and I wanna give him a hug

10. Sam Vimes (Discworld)

Ok so it was almost impossible to pick a favourite character from the Discworld Novels because Terry Pratchett created a whole world and filled it with the most insane ludicrous amazing characters and I want to live there, but really, truly, I feel like Sam Vimes is the heart of Discworld. His character arc was so satisfying, from down and out drunken failed police officer to Duke and commander of the greatest police force in the world.
