Yuu glances up at Koichi before he snorts a little, rolling his eyes while a hand comes up to wipe his sleeve against his eyes. "I don't need help." It was a natural reaction, honestly. Yuu often pushed most people away when they offered help. The only one who ever really got through that barrier was Shion, but that's only because of how close the two have always been.

While he appreciated the offer, Yuu still didn't feel connected enough to Koichi to just allow him in so easily. And after their last encounter, Yuu was even surprised Koichi wanted to offer him any help. Yuu had said some colourful, awful things to Koichi to egg him on until Koichi finally left the house. Then the talk with Kojiro had came and Yuu had laid every single emotion and feeling he felt about everything out for his dad. It had take a while for him to put himself back together after that.

"Why do you even want to help? It's not like we're that close or anything. Last we saw each other I'm pretty sure we had some pretty choice words for each other." He mutters, rubbing at his eyes again before he shifts ever so slightly so Koichi can sit down if he wants to. "Thought you hated my guts after that."

To Tooru, his Feebas is the cutest Pokemon in the whole wide world. And he just can’t understand why it’s the complete opposite to his peers. Crouched at the edge of the stream, Tooru makes a promise. “Don’t worry, Feebas...we’ll show them all !” He says with teary brown eyes that are filled with adoration. He smiles as his Feebas makes a noise of agreement and he reaches out to pet his fish over the top of its head. How anyone could ever think his Feebas is anything but cute is beyond him. The sound of grass crunching under feet catches the new trainer and his partner Pokemon’s attention, and both look across the stream to find a boy standing there with a rather intimidating disposition. Tooru’s smile is quickly replaced with a frown.

“...Who are you ? Do YOU think my Feebas is ugly too ??” He accuses, immediately on the defensive.

Hisoka hummed in response. The bloodlust that had seeped into the air around them was absolutely thrilling. He just loved when Illumi let that side of himself show — so much raw power mixed with an icy shot of impending doom forcing its way through him. The magician credited being too hot (too aroused by the threat in tue assassin’s voice,) for it to affect him.

“Spoken like a true killer,” he said, far too giddy for the situation. “I can barely contain my arousal from the sharpened steel edge of your voice.” He shivered; full-bodied and bone-deep. His hands met with Illumi’s shoulders, wrapped around his neck only to continue higher to cradle his face in time for a sick grin to spread across Hisoka’s features.

“Or else?” He couldn’t help but to provoke the younger man; he was sure his husband expected as much after all their time together. “Oh, please say you’ve already imagined how you’d put me down.” He pried Illumi’s lips apart, rubbing his thumbs over the assassin’s canines. “Would you use your nen? Your needles? Or something more personal like your teeth?”

After all, they were married. He would accept nothing less than a death that would reflect as much.

Briar stands there for a moment, tired eyes squinting as her hands move to her hips and she shifts her stands just a little bit. "You wouldn't dare," She says, voice holding a suspicious tone as she watches him warily.

"I'm not even that tired! I just need to...get an energy drink in me and I'll be good as new. Promise!"

She very much does need to go to bed, she is that tired. She's been pulling a lot of late nights with the whole...Spider Person thing and it's starting to catch up with her. But! Her city is safe, and that's what matters the most to her.

"Call it what you want but one of these days, that vibe check from God is gonna end up with you meeting God." Yuu says around a mouthful of cereal, glancing up from his spot at the breakfast nook in their parents house.

He's mostly joking, but there is definitely a hint of seriousness hiding in his tone. He loves his brothers and he cares for them deeply, always a little worried with the way Shion and Tomio compete at S. He knows they're having fun, but he definitely worries about something going terribly wrong quite often. Though, he supposes he can't say much else as he does employ some of his own little tricks while skating.

"Just...be more careful, yeah? You scared me half to death last night."

Kaoru had mostly just been rambling, talking about his day and the things he'd done when the compliment had fallen from Adam's lips. He pauses, eyes widening before his face softens. His cheeks turn just the slightest shade of pink and he has to resist the urge to return to his normal facade. To scoff and down play the compliment. Instead, he simply reaches over and touches Adam's arm with a tiny smile.

"Flattery, hm? Are you looking for something or is this just a random compliment?" He teases, leaning forward just a little as he places his chin into his hand.

By word of mouth, Tooru learns that Challenger’s Cave is a place where trainers go to seek further strength. He still can’t beat Ushijima the way he is now, so that’s where he should go. The scent of wet rocks hits his nose right when he enters the cave. Aside from it being pitch black, it’s eerily quiet to the point where he can hear water dripping onto the ground from the stalactites. “I can’t see a thing in here.” Tooru squints, trying to distinguish any path in the darkness but to no avail. “Mareep, I need your help !” Tooru tosses a ball into the air and out his Mareep appears in a flash of white light. “Will you please light up the way ?” The electric sheep’s tail begins to glow, illuminating the area around them. “Thank you~! Let’s find some trainers to battle and get stronger. Then, we’ll definitely beat that Ushiwaka-chan !” Mareep ‘baa’s’ happily and bounds off deeper into the cave, with Tooru laughing and running right after it. Many trainer encounters later, he and Mareep decide to take a break next to an underground stream in the cave’s second level. They’ve made good progress, not losing a single match yet. He rests against his Pokemon’s wool coat as Mareep sips from the stream. Both are blissfully unaware of the large set of jaws creeping up from behind them.

“?! N-Nani ??” Tooru jolts upright when Mareep lets out a loud screech, and he whips around to find the source of distress to his Pokemon. There standing right behind them is a cheeky-looking Mawile with a smirk over her face. The jaws that protrude from her head are clamped right over Mareep’s glowing tail. “Oh---that’s---!” He pulls out his Pokedex and holds it up.

Dex entry: “Mawile, the Deceiver Pokemon. Attached to its head is a huge set of jaws formed by horns. It can chew through iron beams.” Tooru winces once the mechanical voices finishes. That must hurt !!  “Shake it off with an Electro Ball !” / “Maar !” Mareep, despite being in pain, forms a bright ball of electricity from the bulb of its tail, which in turn shocks the Mawile into releasing it. The move hits Mawile, sending her flying back several feet. She tries to retaliate, but her body seems to be frozen with bits of electricity flickering all over. Tooru’s quick to realize that she’s paralyzed from Mareep’s Static ability. Here’s his chance !

Honestly, this was how Kojiro knew how to melt his heart. The taller male would just tell him these sort of things and Kaoru could still feel those butterflies within his stomach as he looked at his husband. It was always easy to get lost in the others eyes. It was the way he could literally tear up right now after hearing kojiro say that if he really wanted too. Kaoru walks up to the other and wraps his arms around his neck as he smiles. He still wasn't sure how he got so lucky to be with this man.

"I'm so damn in love with you too. I hope you know that." Kaoru said. Placing a hand on his husband's cheek as he used his thumb to rub against his cheek. There's a smile on his face as he continues to look into his husbands eyes. "I love you so much. You're the only person in the world that I want to spend the rest of my life with."

How endearing. Kurapika smiled up at his boyfriend before gesturing for him to lean down a bit. His arms wrapped around the taller boy's neck and he leaned up to kiss his lips sweetly. Regardless of who may have had their eyes on him, Kurapika would only be interested in one person -- and it wasn't a random stranger that decided to throw a pickup line in his direction.

"It's okay," he cooed, resting his hands at Milluki's chest, fussing with the button of his collar and ultimately leaving it undone. "Your jealousy is quite charming in its own way, actually." There was no need to be embarrassed about it when it only made Kurapika want to hold his sweet boyfriend just a little bit tighter. He knew well of the other male's insecurities and wanted nothing more than to silence them for him.

"While some may see him as an attractive opportunity, I see nothing but a crass waste of energy with no respect for someone else's established relationships." He pushed up on to his toes to pepper a few chaste pecks across Milluki's lips. "You are the one I'm with -- the one I'm going to continue being with. Why would I want a self-proclaimed badboy when I've already got a sweetheart and a real badboy all in one?"

Briar lets out a soft sigh, rubbing a hand over her face and mumbling to herself in spanish. She knows that in a lot of ways, Noa is right. She can't possibly keep him safe from everything. But is there any harm in her trying to? She'd do anything in the world to keep the people she cares about safe and she doesn't see that as a terrible thing.

"I know, I know," She says softly, green eyes flickering towards Noa for a moment. "I just...If I can at least try, then isn't that something?" She moves to sit next to the man, resting a hand against his knee.

"I just care about you, okay? I don't want to see anything happen to you if I can help it."

A letter had been delivered, engraved upon it the seal of the Trancy Estate; a crest that was all too familiar, but left haunting memories etched into the mind of the woman. It did not prevent her from her eager opening of the letter and peering into the contents of its urgency. Lord Trancy had fell ill, and was no longer alive. Ethel Trancy was now the heiress of the Estate.  Perhaps therein was a new life in the waiting. The woman gingerly closed the letter, and without a notice she set forth into the direction of the estate. She deemed it to be a blessing, unknowing of the true situation of the Trancy Estate and its new guests.  The carriage hastily made its way, and upon arrival did Ethel note the well-kept gardens on the front lawn. She was provoked with a thought as to whether the letter was a false claim, and if this was a means to fall victim to one of Lord Trancy’s cruel acts.  The thought was shaken off, believing there to be better news than that. Ethel was unloaded at the paveway, alongside her briefcases and to the door did she walk up. An odd feeling surrounded her, one she recognized to be of supernatural tendencies- a feeling she personally took comfort to.  Anticipating what could possibly follow, she hesitantly rapped at the door.

“Here we go again,” Kaoru said with a roll of his eyes. His arms crossed over his chest as he stared Kojiro down with a look of disbelief. “Why is it that anytime we get into a serious argument, you back down like a scared child?” If he could handle pointless bickering, why did he bitch out so quickly whenever they had a fight that meant something?

“Do you remember the last time you couldn’t handle one of our fights?” He asked, not wanting to continue if they were just going to break up again after getting back together. At some point they needed to get past the petty bullshit and try to build their life together. “He’s half Adam for a reason, you know.”
