I see Simon as someone who seeks academic validation. I mean, he dealt drugs to pay for math tutoring. While I do love the bigger focus on his choir singing in s2, I'm also curious on how he's doing academically.
The class scenes served more as romance build-up, what with them touching hands on the pencil case and the book parallel scene. The most character insight was about how Wille's anxiety can skyrocket until he throws up.
So, is Simon taking it less seriously now because of everything that happened in s1? Does he think that 'moving on' from Bjärstad is still possible, with the video and all?
