#everything about the johnny d*pp and amb*r heard case makes me viscerally angry#one of the jurors has now said they didn't believe her becauze her testimony made them uncomfortable#WHAT ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TESTIMONY IS MEANT TO MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE#like im sorry but what the hell are you expecting#whether shes lying or not#why are you expecting to feel comfortable listening to someone recount their abuse#like yeah im sure youll feel real comfortable when i recount how i spent my entire childhood expecting to die before i hit adulthood#how we lived under constant threat of violence if we didnt behave exactly how he wanted us to#how he told us hed rather kill himself than be our dad#yeah im sure when i recount specific events youll feel so very comfortable#i dont wanna talk about it publically because i dont want to deal with rabid stans#because i really dont need to be told that i a domestic abuse violence is supporting an abuser just because i criticise the trial#but dear fuck am i close to it#because us living in too much fear to talk about it publically only helps abusers who use whatever they can to silence us#listening to domestic violence testimony isnt meant to make you feel comfortable#its not our job to give testimony in a way that makes you feel comfortable#a lot of us aren't going to react emotionally the way toure expecting us to#and we shouldnt have to#we're not here to please you and your expectations#.
