The culmination of my contributions to Tales of Luminaria Party 2023, where I took on the challenge of drawing one of its characters per day.
Completed on its 2nd Anniversary on November 4. The individual pieces can be found over on my art blog, meimei-artpile.
I will never forget Tales of Luminaria, nor will I ever forgive and stop being salty about how Bandai Namco mistreated this masterpiece-in-the-making brimming with so much potential.

The daughter of the Divine Queen and princess of Amr Qhaghan. Lives together with Toto, a creature only she can see. Laid back in both her speech and attitude, Yelsy has the kind of cheerful personality that can make anyone feel like an equal. She’s friendly with everyone in Amr Qhaghan, regardless of age or gender. She’s even able to get along with her classmate Vanessa, who is her polar opposite in personality.

Yelsy most likely has nicknames for everyone in Blaze, but we’ve never heard her refer to Lisette, Hugo, and Celia with one in-game. She also has a nickname for Gaspard.

Leo is “Little Noble” (In JP, she calls him 気高いくん) or “Leo-Leo”*
Michelle is “Michy”
Gaspard is “Gaspy”
*Of particular note, multiple characters will call Leo, “Little Noble,” occasionally. In JP, he’s usually called 気高いくん or a similar variation; Gaspard calls him 気高い少年.

some of my tales of luminaria art (including the chibi i drew for the countdown). i really enjoyed this game and i was so sad to see it go. weirdly, it got me out of a bit of a drawing slump, and the characters were so much more layered and interesting than i’d expected. i’d love to see more of them if they ever decide to return to these characters/universe.

Tales of Luminaria Gets Anime from Kamikaze Douga, Funimation to Stream
Tales of Luminaria was recently revealed as the latest mobile entry in the series, and it already has an anime adaptation lined up. Anime production house Kamikaze Douga (Batman Ninja, Star Wars: Visions - "The Duel") is on board to make it happen, with Funimation revealing streaming plans along with the announcement.
Funimation also went ahead and revealed the English cast and character designs for Tales of Luminaria the Fateful Crossroad.
