oh my god i want to frame this panel
#i want to write an essay about this panel#i’ve been trying not to nerd out over this but dunmesh does SUCH a good job of portraying like strange or weird or uncanny or surreal things#in a way that still makes sense. in terms of visual story telling.#this doesn’t always happen but the surreal i feel like it’s often really hard to portray in comics sometimes because of the format.#not saying it can’t be done or never has been. but more just like. it seems more complicated with the format at hand#WHATEVER whayever im not making much sense#but things i feel like are easier to portray in video or animation or movement in general#is done really really well in dunmesh and it never seems out of place too#sorry i really think ryoko kui is a genius from the future im serious i like cant stop staring in awe at dun mesh both as a fan and the#technical aspects of it and especially what goes into comics and manga#RAAAAAAAAAAH

like ok. i think overall the entire dan arc WAS good and you could like. argue... that the copaganda with it was justified bc it was a bunch of "just because hes a cop doesnt mean you shouldnt trust him hes on our side" and for that to then be bettayed at the end i DO think is a good message of like people trying teally hard for change but not being brave enough to go against thr status quo. or whatever. like id say a good 98% of the dan arc was GOOD
UNTIL!!!
yok forgave him in the end!!! like genuinely even that last scene was really good w him begging for forgiveness but it woulf have hit so much harder if he didnt get it in tje end. like yok being sad and missing their timr together makes sense!!! but dan literally betrayed them to the point they all almost fucking died!!! and he faced zero repercussions for that!!! fucking zero!!! besides like awww im sad for a little bit but then i go sorey!!! and everything is forgiven FUCK THAG!!!! whatever. whayever. other than thsf i really enjoyed this drama 9/10
