Requested by @aecholapis:
⭒ 🎫 for Paradigm please (and get well soon!) ⭒
I'm sorry that this took me so long to get around to lol, my brain was not firing on very many cylinders yesterday
(Also, thank you! I'm still not 100% but that's to be expected with COVID. I'll be back on my feet in no time!)
Anyway! Paradigm lore time >:D
Specifically Paradigm lore: relationship (?) edition!
Paradigm and Karma
Paradigm has this sadistic and crazed view of Karma, mostly because he was the first bot to ever break out of Paradigm's implanted memories/personality blockers via mnemosurgery. Ever since then they've had this absolute, twisted fascination with Karma and they take any chance they get to meet him face to face again. Literally. They will drop everything if they've got information on where Karma is because they want to see how much they can fuck with his brain, and what limits they can push him to before he breaks. It's fucked
(For the record, Jekyll is the one with the sadistic interest in Karma. His brother, Hyde, finds endeavors with the bot a waste of time and entirely frivolous, but the intense feelings from his brother often overrides his control when Karma is the subject of conversation. Also, they refuse to call him anything but Ignitious, much to Karma's absolute hatred.)
Paradigm and Halcyon
Halcyon is an absolute brat and a pest, though a useful one. Not only are they incredibly scatterbrained and rather obtuse (when not in the lab), but they also nag Paradigm like a rabid turbofox when they want something. Paradigm often gives in purely so that the mech will leave them in peace for a few cycles (if they're lucky).
Paradigm does respect Halcyon's immense knowledge in chemical fields and his proficiency in scientific fields. That, and the obvious sadistic nature and the whole mouth-needle thing. It's odd, because they find Halcyon's methods rather crude, while not being much better themself.
Paradigm and Vyrox
Easily Paradigm's strongest relationship- one that actually has trust in it and one where Paradigm views the other as a near-equal in terms of intellect and strength. Vyrox's incredible talent for information gathering and eir talent for creating transmittable cybertronian viruses always brings a grin to their face.
Vyrox is also a vital component in weeding out those who want to gather information or simply try to cross Paradigm and the members within their fold. Those members are given special treatment, the good old one-on-one time with Paradigm for their...efforts.
Paradigm and Turncoat
This relationship is...turbulent. Paradigm sees the value in Turncoat, after all he is a shifter who can literally look like other bots for spy work, but his personality just reeks of insecurity. Paradigm can hardly stand his petulant whining. Oftentimes they'll force other members of the corps to be around the runt or simply find ways to get the smaller to shut his mouth.
That being said, they can...tolerate the sadistic mind Turncoat has- his way with words, how effortlessly he gathers blackmail. It pleases Paradigm greatly. When he actually does his job instead of complain, that is.
(When they discover Turncoat and Reaver's relationship, they find it repulsive, intriguing, and useful all at once. Paradigm sees no use in nauseating things like relationships, but they know that the knowledge by itself holds a lot of power over not only Turncoat, but Reaver as well. Emotions are easily swayed when you hold something dear over another. They'll use the information to the fullest, if the time ever comes.)
Paradigm and Serrous
Paradigm respects the hell out of Serrous, not only for his giant stature but his unwavering loyalty and overwhelming bloodlust. Paradigm had no doubts when they chose Serrous to lead their weapons and enforcement division- and moreso once operations kicked into high gear and Serrous has more than carried his weight twice over. The efficiency with which he tears through enemies excites Paradigm, and the sheer brutality of Serrous' makes them proud.
While Serrous is rather brilliant with military tactics, Paradigm finds that he too easily falls into anger and gets blinded by his own foolish nature. He also can be too stubborn for his own good at times- occasionally going as far as to question Paradigm's reasoning for certain plans and procedures. Paradigm was always quick to remind Serrous who's in charge, and the latter easily takes the threats for what they are when he has to piece himself back together.
Paradigm and Reaver
Paradigm finds Reaver impressive, yet...soft. Much too soft to properly fit into the corps. Yet, Paradigm let him join as he was perfect for intimidation, and as they came to learn, construction. Reaver oversees all construction projects and works at them with an efficiency that Paradigm could never quite manage prior to him signing on.
The troops that follow him also surprise Paradigm, and not in the good way. They look at him with a similar gleam in their eye as they do the infamous Optimus Prime. At least, how they looked up to him in the stories. A great leader, who led for the rights of others and wanted peace. It was too...gentle. Too kind. Paradigm judged the mech too harshly from appearances.
Sure, the bot has easily done extermination work for Paradigm in the past, yet he leads with an air unbecoming of a member of the Ruination Corps- much less of the Salvific Six. Though if he could fool Paradigm towards his true nature, perhaps he could do the same to those who challenge them. They're counting on it.
BONUS Paradigm and Caliper
Paradigm has always seen Caliper as an object or trophy rather than a true pet, despite the programmed sparkeater acting like a guard dog for the six. Usually, Caliper is off with Reaver (him and his dreaded sentimentality towards the creature) or sitting next to Paradigm's throne, imposing and obedient.
(Despite what they might tell you, Paradigm does have a fondness for Caliper. One that they only share in private- petting its head, scratching its jaw, treating it closer to an animal. Don't tell them that though, or you'll be Caliper's next meal.)

When Vyrox rounded the corner, this was not what xe expected to see.
Reaver sat on the floor, legs awkwardly crossed with his tertiary arms deployed. Turncoat was situated in his lap, fiddling with an open panel on one of the small limbs. He grabbed a nearby laser scalpel, never taking his eyes off of his work. His nose scrunched up.
“How you managed to lodge a bolt in here is beyond me.” Reaver let out a noise between a huff and a grunt. One of his primary hands came up and rubbed at his helm, nearly sheepish. Turncoat set down the scalpel and removed the offending bolt, now severed in two, and rolled his optics. “Honestly, this is the fourth time in the last few cycles you’ve had slag stuck in your gears. What’d you do this time?”
Vyrox leaned against the doorway, arms crossed.
“I-”
“Chased Caliper down the hallways. Again.”
Both sets of optics snapped to Vyrox, and a thrill zipped up xyr struts. Catching these two off guard was just too easy, and part of Vyrox thought to set another impromptu training for the Six. Tack it onto the mental list. Xe walked into the room, not sparing another glance towards the bonded-not-bonded pair. At the back of the room, Vyrox opened a drawer and rummaged around until a small computer chip fell into view. Xe grabbed it and turned on zir heel, closing the drawer with a flick of their wrist. Neither of them made a sound or moved save for their wide optics and shocked expressions since Vyrox had made eirself known. Vyrox hummed a note, rather amused.
Xe reached the door and paused. They glanced back at Reaver. "The next time you let Caliper loose, remember to do it somewhere more sparkeater-proof, hm? Cleaning up bodies in the conference hall can be such a hassle..." When Vyrox turned right into the hallway, the two must've snapped out of their embarrassed trances. A loud clang echoed from the room, and Reaver made a startled noise. Vyrox would've smirked had xe been forged with a mouth. Turncoat's voice was as engrossingly entertaining as it was vexing. "You did WHAT-"

Silverfall / Therapist, Serenity, Level-Headed Thinker / He-Him / ref sheet
Second Youngest of his siblings [Dropdash, Flamewire, Goldrake]
Used to be conjuxed to Karma, but was unfortunately offlined

Really liked flowers like lavender because it was his brother, Goldrake's, favorite
Felt responsible for Goldrake up until they all went separate ways and lost contact with one another
Dropdash / Engineer, Blunt, Voice of Gravel / He-Him / Head Concept
The Eldest of his siblings [Silverfall, Flamewire, Goldrake]
Second tallest of his family
Very prickly personality
Not as intimidating as he tries to be
Hates flowers. Don't bring them anywhere near him unless you want a tool of some kind lobbed at your head.
Kibble puffs up a lot when angry- more than the average bot. This has been used as fuel to tease him plenty of times
Flamewire / Informant, Assassin, Teller of Secrets / He-She / Concept
Second Eldest of his siblings [Dropdash, Silverfall, Goldrake]
Tallest and tankiest of her siblings
He's not associated with Decepticons or Autobots, and will sell his services to anyone who will pay up

Fireskimmer / Explorer, Exotreader, Fountain of Flame / He-Him
An XZ Class Exotreader frametype

Intro + Rules
My Main account is @maydays-medbay
All posts will be tagged with IC response or OOC response for better organization
Below the cut will include information about the OCs related to this blog, and it will also have a list of every prompt currently open on the blog. This will hopefully make this blog easier to navigate :>
IDW is the continuity in which these characters are based off of, but I don't believe that the Ruination Corps. is so heavily tied to it that they couldn't be in other continuities as well.
If you would like, you could always mix in more than one character into an ask. For example, how one character would respond to a question for another character. You could also end up having two interacting depending on what you send. Or not! It's up to you what you want to ask my characters lol
This will be edited from time to time, and all updates will be stated at the top of this post.
[Character Info + Prompt list below]
Characters
Paradigm | Cannibal, Mnemosurgeon, Two-Faced Vitriol | They/Them, He/Him

One of the Salvific Six

Turncoat is a shifter, able to morph his body structure into that of another bot relative to his size

[There are no references for Turncoat as of now]
Reaver | Bodyguard, Brawler, Keeper of Tyranny | He/Him
Largest member of the Salvific Six

Okay I saw this meme of dynamics with the characters wearing different pajamas. Now I need you to show us what the Six would wear of they needed pajamas.
P.C. Why do I feel that Halcyon sleeps naked 😩
Okay, so, we're going to assume we're talking human/college au here for simplicity's sake. I'm also mostly making these up as I go so who knows, might be subject to change Turncoat would probably sleep either naked or in like really fluffy/thicker clothes since he's kind of small and loses heat easily. Halcyon would probably sleep in just underwear (but go off, I can see the alternative) Serrous would absolutely sleep fully clothed. Like, dude seems to be the type to fall asleep in jeans and a T-shirt. Does not give a fuck
Also, definitely uses the military method for sleeping. Guaranteed
Paradigm would sleep in something comfortable, maybe something more on the lavish side if they're feeling fancy. Normally it's a breathable t-shirt and underwear though Reaver would also sleep in something comfortable, like a loose tank top, preferably on the thinner side. His size means he overheats easily, so he prefers to sleep in something thin and uses blankets if necessary. And finally we have Vyrox. Xe would absolutely take things seriously with xyr sleep schedule. I mean the absolute pinnacle of *beauty sleep*. I'm talking lavish nightgowns and those extravagant fabrics that are way out of the normal person's budget complete with a full ass routine. If it's not followed, they're super pissy the next morning.

Okay, because I myself am doing this. What are the theme songs of some of your ocs?
This question REALLY got my brain going so here's a list of the ones I've come up with so far (I'm cool with other people's interpretations too lol)
Some of the mains are...
Karma - Nowhere to Go by BAD OMENS
Silverfall - The Other Side of Paradise by Glass Animals
Paradigm - Fight Fire with Gasoline by Self Deception
Turncoat - People I don't Like by UPSAHL
Reaver - Common Ground by Our Last Night
Halcyon - UH OH by Sub Urban (Feat. BENEE)
Serrous - Dizzy by MISSIO
Vyrox - Sick Thoughts by Lewis Blissett
Plus some side/filler characters :>
Tempest - I'm Dangerous by The Everlove
Fireskimmer - Face to Face by Citizen Soldier
Dropdash - Bloodshot by Sam Tinnesz
Flamewire - You're Going Down by Sick Puppies
Goldrake - Feeling Good by Michael Bublé
Feel free to ask about any other specific characters, if there's one that I didn't mention on here 😅

Anyway actual ask time. And because the shattered glass brainrot is real, what would the six's role be in the sg AU
Honestly, very good question! Now, I've kind of run into a dilemma with the Six in SG, but the idea that I'm kind of running with now is that they are a sanctuary/rescue group that is meant to shelter people from the war. So kind of a refugee organization of sorts? Halcyon is in charge of medicine, Reaver is a build coordinator, Turncoat is sort of the voice of the refugees, Serrous is focused on defensive efforts alongside Reaver, Vyrox helps with outside communication and internal affairs, and Paradigm is constantly doing his best to connect with the refugees and help wherever they can. They work on creating as many facilities as possible and are open to anyone joining and getting protection. Paradigm is always running around and keeping themselves busy and they have an extreme amount of empathy for those they've sworn to protect. The nickname "ruination corps" was given to them by outside sources to make others wary of their efforts. Kind of like how decepticons are called that to deceive people into thinking they're the bad guys in SG. Other than the basics though, I don't have a lot to go off of. I think it'll be easier when I flesh out the normal Ruination Corps. and the Six as a whole, but until then things are going to be a little messy.

I've been thinking about the Ruination Corporation lore and I've started to play with the idea that the corps has kind of expanded over time, leading to many facilities where they run their shady dealings. These facilities will probably also have satellite sites/facilities where they store things and/or focus on the different aspects of what they do. With that being said, I now also realize that I'm going to have to think more about these different facilities and how they run. I'm definitely considering each of the Salvific Six getting their own facilities that they run (Paradigm's being the largest and most important) with the others being less grandiose and more hidden to the average onlooker, but with that comes another problem.
I'll have to create characters that run these extra facilities while these members are otherwise occupied, AND I'll have to consider making characters for the satellite facilities. There's....a lot of work ahead of me lol.
(Now that I'm thinking about it...maybe we'll see some old faces within the corps. But you didn't hear that from me 😉)
Each of the characters who run in the absence of a Salvific Six member are those sincerely trusted by the member to run their operations. I can imagine that many of the right-hand members are reflections of their overseer, though not all of them are.
(Keep in mind, many of these operations and facilities run independently and can sometimes clash with each other. When that happens, the members can gather at the main facility to have a meeting to clear things up, with Paradigm often having the final word)
The only exception to this rule would be Paradigm's facility, as I think they would entrust Vyrox with their tasks whenever they leave. Paradigm is the ONLY member that does this, as they simply find many of their rank-and-file members lacking. Their trust simply doesn't trickle down far enough for them to see any member outside of the Six to carry out their work, and even then, many of the members they'd find too self-interested to be able to adequately run their entire regime without catastrophic consequences.
