Instructions: go into Pinterest and search the name of one of your original characters followed by +core and use some of the first images that appear to create a moodboard. Describe how accurate it is in the post!

Overall:

7/10

Coloring: Too dark and moody. Alexander is generally not portrayed by moody colors. I typically use navy blue, silver, white, and warm greens for his character. Colors that, in my eyes, brighten the mood and represent a surge of hope, strength, or confidence. Red represents his enemies.

Image One: Right idea! Wrong historical period. Alexander is a fantasy prince, inspired by an era a that is somewhere between the Middle Ages and Regency. However, his garb reflects the former and not the latter. This style is not accurate.

Image Two: The image of this crown is actually saved on my general Pinterest board for this story. It is close to what I believe the royal crown would resemble. A working title for this novel once was “The Broken Crown”.

Image Three: Time, too modern. Hobby — accurate. Alexander is an introvert who enjoys quiet time alone and prefers a book to the company of the court.

Image Four: This is excellent. This character spends most of his time outdoors. One of his favorite places to reflect is by the water, particularly near a pond in the garden, or a small lake towards the far end of the royal lands.

Image Five: Ah — the duplicitous arrow. Does it cause his death? Dear reader, you’ll have to wait to know.!

Image Six: The festival funeral of lights is a large piece of cultural significance. It, again, ties into the theme of light in the dark and hope after death.

Image Seven: There are many representations of roses in this tale and the burning rose is a truthful one. Roses can represent both love and scorn, beauty and pain. These idiosyncrasies are central to the backstory of the villain who forces Alexander to fighting for his peace.

Image Eight: Vive la révolution! Alexander is not one of rebellion, which is why how bold this image is does stand to be inaccurate. As a protagonist, Alexander must undertake a journey from becoming a passive man like his father to standing on his own two feet and fighting for what he loves most. He is not a natural rebel, but when pushed — he will always stand for those below him.

Image Nine: Ah, la lune. His first friend and loyal confidant. This night owl has more conversations with the moon than most humans have with each other. He likes the moon because it listens.

'Bonelab', the sequel to Boneworks, came out two weeks ago- if you follow VR news outlets it's basically the second coming, but major gaming outlets like Gamespot and IGN have not only *not* run a review, they never even ran stories announcing the game or its release date. I get that Alyx didn't get the clickthrough they wanted, but the biggest release since gets *nothing?* With an estimated 20 million VR headsets in the wild, when, if ever, will gaming news outlets start covering VR?

Well, obviously, PSVR2 is going to be the next attempt to bring VR to a mainstream audience, and it'll get a requisite amount of coverage. I don't see this being something that carries over into coverage of other VR headsets or marketplaces, though. That ship feels like it's sailed. There are already way more non-VR games coming out than any site can handle and there's no real reason to waste a bunch of time chasing down VR stuff.

Especially Bonelab, which is for a niche of a niche of a niche. They're out there practically shitting on the Vive for not being good enough for their game. The way Boneworks spent time up front shitting on "comfortable" control schemes was pretty off-putting, too. It's for a specific crowd and that's rad! But don't expect anyone else to give a shit. Considering it sounds very similar to Boneworks, it sounds like it's pretty much a product built for the VR enthusiasts that are all the way down the rabbit hole and everyone else will probably just get sick within 20 minutes of putting it on.

For what it's worth, the release of Bonelab was the thing that got me to blow the dust off my Quest 2, but after realizing the battery was dead and the firmware was way behind and I still have to migrate to a Meta account and all this other shit... I don't think I'm going to be jumping through those hoops anytime soon. I spent a very long time checking out new VR releases week by week and it was one of the most discouraging things I've ever done. Every week was like "hey, here are nine more shooting galleries and one neat physics demo thing that we're trying to sell as a $30 game." It was like watching people get slowly sucked out of an airlock or something, like you're watching this fledgling corner of the industry snuff itself out in record time with like four different chicken-and-egg problems to justify why sales weren't great or why AAA devs weren't investing big in VR or why the VC money was drying up or whatever. Not enough quality, not enough interest, not enough install base. Pick your excuse.

I might also add that "VR news outlets" are pretty much the last place I'd go for any kind of signals about the overall health of the VR market. You can sit here and talk about "clickthrough" on mainstream sites, but those sites are pretty much gone if they can't keep convincing their audience that VR still matters.

Pretty crazy when you think about it. All these years of wondering if VR could ever be a real thing. And now here we are, it's very real and can be very cool, but no one gives a shit.

São completamente diferentes, com vidas diferentes, mas foi no socorro que se conheceram e dali eles entenderam que podia contar um com o outro, partilham de muitas coisas, ainda que ninguém consiga ver a amizade deles tão nítida assim, eles sabem que são amigos e só isso já basta. É o típico de amizade incomum, não precisam dividir a própria vida um pro outro, mas sabem quando precisam dar aquela mãozinha, até o momento em que um esqueça do outro, tudo é possível.

Navillera (Lee Chaerok & Shim Deokchul): Sabe-se lá o motivo que levou 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐄 a acreditar que poderia aprender artes marciais com Junhua, mas desde o dia que elu começou a insistir com isso, ceder era a única opção. E foi a partir disso que a relação deles foi construída, gastam horas em espaços amplos, apenas para que Junhua possa dividir esse conhecimento, ensiná-lo os movimentos e o uso correto da força. Tal qual um instrutor ensinando um amigo a dançar balé.

18 again (Go Wooyoung & Go Deokjin): Ninguém acredita que eles são amigos porque é difícil de acreditar mesmo, vivem brigando e quase não possuem paciência um com o outro, mas se conhecem tão bem que é possível saber até quando tão precisando apenas chutar algumas pedras para extravasar a raiva. Junhua sabe que se estiver frustrado, ele pode simplesmente pegar uma garrafa de cerveja e bater no dormitório de @abirshinha que o tempo vai passar rápido demais, porque até uma tarde assistindo TV pode ser bem aproveitado.

𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄/𝐒𝐄𝐗𝐔𝐀𝐋

My only 12% (See-ew & Cake): Basicamente um romance de infância, aquele primeiro amor que pode ter sido vivido ou não. Foi a primeira vez que o coração bateu aquelas batidas irregulares que faziam ele se perguntar se tava tudo bem por ali, que sentia ciúmes sem saber o porquê e acabou se colocando naquele espaço de amigo muito mimado, que precisava aprender a viver sem o amigo colado o tempo todo.

Cutie pie (Nuer & Syn): Primeiro carinha por quem Junhua se interessou, com @rjabez veio primeiro a implicância, depois partiu para os flertes e aí seguiram para o caminho do relacionamento completamente inexperiente, sendo um completo desastre desde o primeiro beijo desajeitado até a primeira vez que tiveram juntos com dente batendo, câimbra na perna na hora errada, entre outras coisas que só tornaram a relação ainda mais especial. Não estão mais juntos, mas as lembranças são boas e a relação entre eles também continua sendo tranquila.

Our beloved Summer (Kook Yeonsoo & Choi Woong): Primeira menina por quem Junhua se interessou, foram meio obrigados a conviver e desde então eles passaram a se suportarem, só que cada vez que se conheciam, mais ficavam próximos e o romance acabou acontecendo naturalmente, rolando até pedido de namoro em cenas clichês, com a chuva caindo e ele usando a própria blusa como um tipo de proteção. Não que ele tenha tanto tempo livre, mas acabou acontecendo, não deu certo, e em algum momento a relação apenas acabou, ao menos acredita que foi em bom termos, ainda que não tenham conversado sobre isso em nenhum momento.

Bed friend (King & Uea): Sexo sem compromisso, nada além disso, possuem até algumas regrinhas que começaram a seguir apenas para que não ultrapassem algumas linhas limite daquela relação. O acordo entre eles é apenas pela satisfação, se sentem bem fazendo isso e esperam continuar enquanto puderem, se vão seguir para algo além disso?! Não se sabe.

First Love Hatsuko (Yae Noguchi & Harumichi Namiki): Ex com término indefinido, seja em bons termos ou maus termos, o problema é que o sentimento ficou mal resolvido, não tiveram nenhuma conversa decente sobre o assunto, talvez eles precisem fazer isso.

𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐙𝐀𝐃𝐄

It's okay to not be okay (Ko Moonyoug & Nam Joori): Junhua é o rio calmo, de correnteza tranquila, enquanto MUSE é o lado agitado da água, não tem como eles terem uma boa relação, a birra aconteceu no primeiro olhar e a aproximação delu com seus amigos fizeram com que o ciúmes fosse um sinal para que a implicância continuasse. Não existe nenhuma chance deles se darem bem, mas naquele nível de serem muito educados um com o outro, porém com indiretinhas ou provocações estúpidas.

Bad and Crazy (Ryu Soolyeol & K): São completo opostos, completamente insanos pela raiva que nutre um pelo outro, em uma relação complicada, mas que consegue se manter equilibrada. Parece estranho que os dois consigam até se ajudar as vezes, mas definitivamente não terão mais do que uma relação momentânea e sem importância, a melhor coisa pra fazer é mantê-los longe sempre.

Dra. Cha (Roy Kim & Seo Inho): Em algum momento da vida deles, tiveram interesse pela mesma pessoa e isso desencadeou uma relação antagônica que se mantém até hoje, mesmo que não tenham mais esse interesse em comum. A implicância nunca foi resolvida, então eles que lidem com os sentimentos contraditórios que surgem quando estão no mesmo ambiente.

True Beauty (Han Seojun & Lee Suho): Eram amigos e, por algum motivo, deixaram de ser, e apesar de existir esse sentimento em evidência entre eles, esse único motivo faz com que eles mantenham o bloqueio entre eles, não conseguindo sair dessa relação de inimizade momentânea por mais tempo.
