Lord of the Gourds!
Matt McConkie shows off his colossal pumpkin, made using our compost blend, estimated between 1,900-2,000 pounds!
His secret? A well-honed process that starts with soil samples in the spring, revealing the nutrition needs. Then, he turns to us at Wild Valley Farms, and we craft a special compost blend of wood shavings and cow manure, aged over years for prime nutrition. Delivered by the dump truck load!
During peak growth, this pumpkin packed on a whopping 50 pounds per day, a testament to Matt's dedication.
Most pumpkins grow for around 100 days, but this champ pushed it to 115!
