Phil Myrick is a renowned placemaker and one of the leading proponents of urban design. For more than three decades, he has planned and designed streets and open spaces in cities and towns throughout the United States. He is planning for placemaking process and currently focused on building on that experience to develop strategies for restoring the city.

Welcome to the Phil Myrick public projects, the project is investigating the problems caused by unequal access to city streets around the world and the ways law and governments respond to them. This issue is particularly important to disabled people, older people, children, parents, and carers. Our main focus is to raise public awareness and build solidarity. Also, innovative and engaging public space project provide solutions for a variety of challenges and spaces, and can also serve as community and civic gathering places. The design of these projects weaves the needs of users into the larger context often connecting with the surrounding landscape of creating a dynamic environment that can be enjoyed by many.
