i’m probably never going to finish this painting so might as well just post it here

i started it in summer like a year or two ago, the wildfire smoke was really bad that year, made me feel like my summer had been robbed.

unfinished painting was built on top of a big but abandoned industrial district. The ancients under their care used to ask for their help for designing purposed organisms and to this day they still have millions of old animal blueprints. They gave up on solving the great problem a long time ago, and it's now using their free time to catalogue every single thing about every single living being Ever

And speaking of the patch of land under them, it's called the Nest! It got this name cause the ancients used to call it a big rat nest, as it was just this ghost town full of creatures thriving on the trash. After the mass ascension it turned into a giant bioluminescent forest, and it's where downtown and asshole currently lives!

Asshole is still the same from his first post, he just grew a lot in the past few cycles 💔 downtown is a slugcat living in the nest, he's curious and stupid and a major hazard because he just can't stop throwing his spear at everything. Him and painting are friends :)

Evergrowing tower is painting's only friend. Her can is a little isolated from the other iterators of their group, in a very cold region. She is the only one painting's comfortable enough to talk to, and they constantly chat about random stuff. She hasn't given up yet.

Overheat and clear sky are brothers from the same litter! Both born on one of tower's legs, her exterior is kind of not a good place to live but of course some critters ended up there and they're trying so hard to survive. They're both young adults like downtown, but weren't able to properly grow cause of the lack of consistent food sources. They're crawling their way through tower's city and overheat by pure luck ended up being pooped down directly inside tower's puppet chamber. She just finished a discord call with painting telling her about their new friend the Blue Thing. she hasn't processed this yet.
