prev post mentioned it but the way the show illustrates how victims feel isolated and trapped and degraded and undeserving and crushed under the weight of abuse, but the show itself doesnt agree with that victim blaming point of view is something that ive noticed

louis doesnt consider himself to be a victim, and despite the show being from his point of view and it could easily depict facts in ways that line up with his point of view, it clearly shows him being victimized

claudia returns home believing she could never survive without the protection of louis and lestat, and instead of outright agreeing with that we get her outsmarting lestat + antionette, keeping louis in the dark, and succeeding before lestat could kill her

ive seen far too many shows where writers arent smart enough to have their characters with their own points of view and a narrative that is separate. louis may be the main character and obviously his own morality seeps into the story, but the story clearly isnt molded to the protagonists tilted point of view
