Truck and Danny! TRUCK AND DANNY!
Truck’s only been at the inn for a couple days, but he’s made himself at home in the kitchen. It’s cozy here, reminds him of home. He likes how it’s always a little warmer than the rest of the place, likes being in here with Danny, who’s a little shy but that’s alright, Truck’s chatty enough for both of them. He is a little surprised when the light shifts in the kitchen, gets warmer somehow, like outside it’s gone from spring to summer, but he always liked the summer.
Then Danny’s turning from the stove and untying his own apron, then he starts untying Truck’s with what looks like intent. Normally that’s where Truck’d stop somebody if he didn’t have intent of his own, but in that easy way of dreaming, he doesn’t feel the need to. Instead, his hand finds Danny’s cheek, then his hair. He likes the warm way Danny’s looking up at him, and he decides it might be alright, enjoying each other’s company like this for a while.
Danny’s just slipping away from a kiss onto his knees when Truck wakes up.
He looks at the ceiling for a while, thoughtful.
“Huh.” He finally says, before turning into his pillow and falling back asleep.
