Baby olympia stole my hearth, their little family is soo cute 🥹, if it's okay with you love, could you do one where Thena is doing something with baby olympia like feeding her or dressing her (in a super cute outfit 'cause thena is a fashion icon) and Gil is watching them, falling more in love with his girls, feeling grateful that he came back to Thena and that their little her was born. Just Gil being soft for his girls. 🩷
Gil keeps an eye on them - his girls - in the corner of the room.
Thena calls it 'feeding', which it is in some ways. She sits in the rocking chair Phastos constructed for them, and she holds Olympia, and both of them enter a dreamlike state as Cosmic Energy slowly leaves Thena and is absorbed by their little supernova.
Their little miracle--Gil still can't believe it.
He can't even believe that he's alive, for starters. His last memory is of him on his back on the amazon forest floor, looking up at Thena (much to her dismay). But he remembers she was smiling until the moment he closed his eyes.
Next thing he knows, he's alive again, Sersi has saved the world, there's a Celestial sticking out of the ocean and he and Thena have catching up to do. And then Thena is pregnant.
No one saw it coming, of course. No one could have. They all thought of Ajak often during the process of it all, but they were on their own for it. Thank all the stars in the sky for Sersi, and Phastos. All their siblings, of course.
Druig and Sprite are most wary of the baby, no matter how they love her. Sprite excels at entertaining young Olympia, if nothing else. She does seem amused by Druig, as if his constantly reading her young mind has established a somewhat two-way connection.
Kingo says he doesn't like that, because he should be her favourite. He and Phastos argue on that often. But, although Makkari bouncing and jogging her (gently!) around the Domo is fun for them both, Sersi is of course Thena's chosen second mother for their child.
And there could be no better, he agrees. Sersi has always been the most human, and the most connected to the ways of the heart. She's sweet, and warm, and has an awareness of the soul that none of the rest of them possess.
Gil admits this freely; he has only one soul to which his is linked.
It's strange to think that his wife has now lived part of her life without him, and yet to him he has spent not even a day without her. But he can see how she's worn out by what she's endured. He wishes he could take it on for her; it's not fair.
Gil walks into their shared room. It's still just his personal quarters in the Domo--far from luxurious. Phastos did do them the kindness of engineering an expansion, just into the next room, but the extra space was still appreciated.
There is also a small crib for Olympia, mere steps away from the bed.
He chuckles, looking at the little mobile above it. It's a simple thing, but Thena did whittle and paint it herself. There are dinosaurs and pegasi and also regular birds. A whole history's worth of creatures.
They all guessed he would be the one who would be unable to bear being away from Olympia. And they are right, but it's Thena who has the most acute anxiety about it.
Only by his and Sersi's convincing did she allow them to install the crib at all. If it were up to Thena, she would be holding their child in her arms until the day she was Sprite's height.
Gil kneels down in front of his beautiful girls. Olympia is sleeping soundly, absorbing little dewdrops of Cosmic Energy from her mother like a meadow receives the rain. Sersi reasons that human children often need extra vitamins and nutrients besides in just their food; perhaps this is the same.
He brushes his fingers over his daughter's tiny head; she really does look like a tiny Thena, although he thinks her hair is getting a little darker just at the roots. He kisses her little forehead. She scrunches her face. "I'm sorry, my little sunburst."
"You're here."
He smiles up at his wife, her enchanting green eyes affixed to him. She looks even more stunning since bringing Olympia into the world. "I'm here."
It's become a kind of greeting for them. Thena will voice those words as if one day he won't affirm them. But he has no right to worry about that when it's very possible that she has experienced that in some form or another.
He leans up, capturing her lips against his tenderly.
Thena sighs as they part, her head tilting lazily as she relaxes that last little bit. Her eyes shine at him, "she's strong."
The connection between Warrior Eternal and her progeny is one that brings tears to his eyes. He moves the back of his knuckle against his daughter's cheek, "I know. Look who her mother is."
Thena lets him kiss her cheek with reverence. "To say nothing of her father. Two of the galaxy's deadliest--she will be a force to be reckoned with."
"She," Gilgamesh pats the soft of his palm against Olympia's head, "will never have to know battle, so long as we live."
"Yes," Thena sighs, letting herself believe his reassurance. She inhales, adjusting her arms, "here."
It's a simple thing, but it moves him that she trusts him so completely with their daughter. Of course she does, he is her father. But he knows Thena--knows the way she twitches and flinches and watches. She is made to be vigilant, after all, and even with their own family, she is always keenly aware of their daughter's whereabouts.
But with him, she hands her over. Thena has no question about his ability to prioritise and protect their child.
He makes room as she stands from the chair. She wobbles faintly and he moves so she can lean into his side. "Easy."
He isn't entirely sure what takes place during the 'feedings'. Because he also makes her regular old milk and feeds that to her. But Phastos and Druig alike cannot fathom what takes place between mother and child and their connection of energy.
Thena nuzzles her face into his shoulder.
"You're tired," he chuckles, holding their daughter in one arm and his wife in the other. "Nap with me."
Thena mumbles faintly. And while he doesn't hear it, he knows it's because she wants them to have Olympia in the bed in between them, instead of in the crib.
"We talked about this," he reminds her as he oh-so gently lays Olympia down on the little cot within the high walls. "You trust Sersi."
"Of course I trust Sersi," she grumbles, as if she is not grinding her teeth in her head to distract from her separation anxiety.
"She needs to learn to sleep on her own," he says gently, pulling Thena with him to the bed. "You can't hold her forever, sweetheart."
"We live forever."
He chuckles, careful not to be too loud with his little sunflower in the room. But he tucks some of Thena's hair away from her face and kisses the corner of her amazing lips. "As will she. And that's a long time for her to sleep in her own bedroom."
He can practically hear his wife's feelings about their infant daughter sleeping in a completely separate room. He presses his nose to the sculpted hollow of her cheek. "I will want you all to myself again someday, you know."
That makes her smile. She laughs faintly as he kisses her cheek and pulls them to lie down together. She settles into his chest, his arms wrapped around her, their daughter's tiny breaths reaching their inhuman ears. "You have your priorities I see."
"I do," he answers honestly, rubbing Thena's back and burying his nose in the hair at the top of her head. "It's my two girls, always. My new little star and the sun of my galaxy."
"Hm," Thena allows him to relish the contact with her. "I shall pretend that's sweet, instead of you being eager to bed me again."
"I can be a sweet and loving father, and also your husband, y'know."

Just Eros, Full with his ego, trying to win over the new stallion and Gil watching him with amusement. Eros learns a hard lesson 😈
Eros hit the ground hard, flat on his back with his hair rustling in the dust. The stallion he had attempted to mount whinnied with glee at his failure. "All right, mate, it wasn't that funny."
"I found it pretty funny."
Eros dusted himself off, still with plenty of dignity for a guy who had just been tossed to the dirt by their newest stable addition. He straightened his vest and looked at Gil, "do you not have anything else that needs your attention at the moment?"
He shrugged, leaning off the door frame and walking closer to arguably his second-least-favourite club member. "Nothing as fun as watching Heracles reject you."
"Hercules?"
Gil shook his head, his arms still crossed, "Heracles. Thena picked it."
Eros' face changed in a way Gil didn't entirely enjoy. "Ah, my beautiful Thena named him? I suppose that tracks--she does so have a way with the classics."
Gil resisted the urge to make a face at Eros kissing ass when the woman in question wasn't even present to hear it. "He's responded to her pretty well. But it'll be a long time before he's fit for riding, so I've told everyone to keep their distance for a while. I don't suppose you got that memo."
"Ah, must've flew under my radar, old chap," Eros excused vaguely as he clasped his hands behind his back like the old-money rich boy he was. "Apologies--I merely wanted to test out the new steed for myself."
"Well, you did, and you can see he's not up for it," Gil muttered, but Eros didn't scurry out of the stable like he would have hoped. In fact, he walked closer to the black stallion again. "Hey!"
"Fascinating creatures, are they not?" Eros tossed over his shoulder, leaning his face forward to observe Heracles. The horse paced back and forth in front of him, still tied up but obviously ready to kick and fight and fuss at a moment's notice.
"Uh, yeah man, I'm a big fan," Gil sighed, walking closer mostly to make sure Eros didn't get his skull bashed in by the obstinate stallion. That would for sure come out of his paycheck.
"I had always been around them," Eros shrugged, still monologuing to both of them but also no one in particular. "Comes with the upbringing, of course. But I truly loved riding from the moment I tried it."
Eros was pretty good too, not that Gil particularly wanted to admit it. But the club prized him as a member. He was aggressive and competitive when it called for it. And Gil did somewhat believe that his pretty boy status also helped in that regard.
"Being drawn to my lovely Thena simply came with the territory."
Gil twitched again. It wasn't really any of his business, technically. And he was pretty sure they weren't actually together, despite Eros' overly familiar way of speaking about her. But it gave Gil the creeps the way he attached 'my' to every adjective about her.
Eros gave him a look that felt like an odd mix of resentment and admiration. "Unfortunately, I believe she shares your obsession with these lovely creatures. I've never been able to lure her away form Olympia's side."
Gil had seen him try it, too. But Olympia was always eager to keep her dear rider away from the smarmy equestrian whose hair refused to be defined by the shape of their helmets.
"It seems you have succeeded in forging a," Eros paused, and again Gil got the distinct feeling his cage was being rattled, "friendship, of sorts, with her."
Not that he was an expert by any means, but Gil wouldn't say he completely lacked social awareness with people in exchange for his way with the horses. And he was pretty close to entirely sure that Eros was saying he was jealous, in not so many words.
"In such a short span of time working here, I do not know how."
Maybe it was more like he was about to warn him to stay away from her. Which Gil found even funnier in concept than watching Eros fall face first off of Heracles' back.
"But!" Eros ruffled his ridiculous coif of hair and looked at Gil head on. He put on a pleasant, if uncomfortable seeming smile. "I do believe it would be for my darling Thena's happiness alone that I could see myself setting aside our differences."
Now Gil was having to really dig to find the meaning behind Eros' many unnecessary words. But like shovelling the dung, he was up to the task, and he was pretty sure Eros was trying to say that Thena would be happy if they could be civil with one another.
Gil eyed Eros' vaguely gesturing hand, not at all held out for a real handshake between peers. "She tell you that?"
Pretty boy faltered, and Gil bit back a grin. "Not in so many words. But my dearest Thena isn't so loquacious by nature, now is she?"
My, my, my--that was all this guy ever said. Gil uncrossed his arms and swatted Eros' intrusive hands out of his personal space. And Heracles' for that matter! "I don't know about that. But the Thena I know always says exactly what she means. And she hasn't mentioned anything to me about us having to act like we're drinking buddies."
This time it was Eros who squirmed, and Gil enjoyed it maybe just a little, tiny bit too much. "Ah, well, my-"
"Look, man," Gil addressed the highborn gentleman the way he would any of his fellow shit shovellers. He put a hand on Heracles' neck, whose tail was still whipping around behind him in displeasure. "I don't care what problem you think you have with me. I'm here to take care of the horses. And I don't really care what you have to say on the matter, I trust that if Thena wants me to know something, she'll tell me."
Eros's pleasant smile slowly melted off his face, leaving a cold disdain in its place. He clasped his hands in front of him now, drawing up his shoulders to take advantage of his height. "Talk often with ma cherie, do you?"
Here was the root of the problem. Gil eyed Eros the same way he would Heracles or any other young colt getting a little too brash with him. He could recognise stomping hooves and aggressive breathing in more than just equines. "I don't know if everyday is often."
Eros bristled.
"But Thena likes to come in and spend time with Olympia," Gil shrugged, back to having a little too much fun messing with Eros. He ran his hand over Heracles' mane. "I guess we talk and hang out in here while she does."
It was common knowledge that Eros liked to all but follow Thena around when they were both on club grounds at the same time. The only one who didn't know she was completely uninterested, was Eros. Or maybe he did know, in which case Gil's distaste for the guy would only get worse from now on.
"Gil?"
"Speaking of," Gil waved to her.
"My love!"
"Eros," she greeted as dryly and formally as she could. She gave him and his outstretched arms a wide berth as she walked over to them. "How is he today?"
Gil stepped aside to let Thena greet Heracles in person. The stallion indeed eyed her with mild tolerance, passively allowing her presence in a way he didn't with many other club members. "He's in a pretty good mood. I think that's from rejecting riders left and right, though."
Thena took one look at Eros - and the dirt on the white sleeves of his riding shirt - and smiled. Her hand touched Heracles' nose gently, pulling him so she could nuzzle his snout in good humour. "I can't blame you, boy."
Heracles pulled his head from Thena's grasp, although it did seem like he was nodding. And he didn't kick up his back hooves in protest, either.
"Are you done training for the day, my sweet?" Eros continued, completely undeterred by his rejection, now thrice, nor Thena's refusal to even look him in the eye. "I would be happy to fetch us some lunch."
"No."
Gil chuckled, but Eros looked like she had whispered a sweet nothing to him. A woman of few words indeed. Poor guy; Gil could at least sympathise with the sucker who was clearly blindly in love with the rider between them.
He could see how Thena could have that affect on someone.
"Are you departing for the day, then? I-"
"I'm here to spend time with Olympia, Eros," Thena glared at him, no longer in the mood to even entertain his small talk. "I realise you and Pip are not so close, but some of us actually like our horses."
Eros sniffed, taking at least a little offense at the jab at his pride as a rider. He straightened again, "I shall leave you to it then, mi amor."
Thena didn't even bother looking at him as he dragged himself out of the stables, looking back at her no less than four times in the two minutes it took for him to exit the building completely. "Is he gone?"
Gil chuckled, happy to keep her secret for her. "He's gone."
She let out a sigh, which Heracles pretended annoyed him by shuffling away from her. "Usually he's gone by the afternoon so I can have some peace, but he's been hanging around more and more. He and Ikaris really think they can tame this fellow."
Heracles freely voiced what a ridiculous notion that was.
"Okay, okay, easy," Gil chided the excitable male. "Get over yourself, buddy."
Thena laughed faintly, moving away from the tied stallion with Gil and towards Olympia's pen. "I do hope he wasn't in here pestering you again."
Pestering sure, but not technically about anything related to his job this time. Gil glanced at her, "I mean I wouldn't say we're best friends or anything, but I guess he was harmless."
Thena freely shook her head, how sleek blonde ponytail swishing behind her. "You have my sympathies. But I admit I would rather he be bothering you than me and Olympia."
Gil's smile grew. She was still in her breeches and riding boots, which were pretty flat compared to the elegant heels he'd seen her wear casually. She was shorter than usual, allowing him to look down at her slightly.
"Sorry," she uttered after finding him staring at her. "I suppose that is cruel of me."
"Hey, I don't mind, consider it part of the job," he shrugged with a laugh. He looked in on Olympia, who was standing with her butt to them, as if to give them some privacy. He leaned on the edge of her gate. "I don't think he likes us being friends."
Thena startled faintly at the word. Last they had discussed being friends, he did have a distinct memory of her caring for him rather attentively.
The feeling of her lips on his cheek always came to his mind, whether he wanted it to or not.
"Well, I suppose I have to thank you for that," she pursed her lips faintly, waiting to see if he would further dig up the topic she clearly didn't feel the need to discuss further.
Gil just grinned, opening the gate for her and sliding out of her way. "What are friends for?"
She could definitely tell he was still in a teasing mood after having his fun giving Eros a hard time. But she walked into Olympia's pen to greet her horse.
"Holler if you need anything, ladies," he chuckled, bidding his goodbye to both Thena and Olympia. It was childish of him to like teasing Thena, but she was a lot cuter to tease than Eros.

A newly arrived stallion arrives and Thena watches how Gil and that said stallion forming a bond
Something wholesome and cute? For the dressage AU
It was huge. Stallions were fairly large breeds, of course--well muscled and meant to be strong. But even with all that being said, there was no denying the horse was massive. It was all black, with quite a mean expression. Its long mane had yet to be trimmed or groomed because the beast wouldn't let anyone near it, let alone with shears.
Only one had been brave enough to even try.
Thena watched from around Olympia's shoulder. She had only seen the new arrival a few times, now. He had been purchased by the club for what an asset he could be, but first they needed someone willing to tame him. From what she had heard, Ikaris had tried, maybe even Eros - only the most egotistical riders, of course - but to no avail.
"Easy, boy, eyes on me."
Gil had a tight hold on the rope in his leather gloved hand. He let the horse trot in circles around him. The line was taut, the horse maintaining a distance from Gil but at his own pace. Gil walked in circles as he was led by his companion.
"That's right, it's okay," he spoke softly to the monstrous horse, keeping his eyes on it. He was the only one strong enough to compete with the horse's pull on the reins, of course. "No one's here to hurt you, pal. Just try to take it easy."
The horse glared at him, pulling back and trying to get up on his back legs.
"Ah--hey!" Gil tugged again, pulling him forward. "None of that!"
Thena watched, astonished as the stallion seemed to listen. She knew Gil had a way with the creatures, but she had never quite seen it to this degree. Maybe a way with a stubborn or fickle horse, but never taming an actual wild stallion. It was like something out of a romance novel.
Olympia bumped her shoulder.
"Hey!" Thena hissed at her impetuous horse, who flicked her ears at her. Olympia wanted to know more about the new horse as well, obviously. "Stop it!"
"Thena?"
Thena froze, nearly blushing at being caught spying on him (again). She pulled her hands behind her back to disguise her fingers fidgeting with the sleeves of her white buttoned shirt. "I-I see the new recruit is in good hands."
Gil looked at the stallion, who eyed Thena with a new level of wariness. Gil snapped the rope faintly, just enough to remind the horse of the bridle in its mouth. "Be nice."
His tail flicked, but the horse didn't exactly stomp or kick up his feet at her.
"I heard he was unworkable," she murmured, eyeing the creature keeping its distance from them.
Gil also kept his eyes on the young steed, like a coach eyeing a stubborn athlete. "No horse is unworkable, some are just more stubborn than others. But I think we're coming to understand each other."
The stallion attempted to rear up again, voicing his disagreement with that.
"Hey!" Gil barked at him, moving in front of Thena to keep the horse's eyes on him. "Don't make trouble for her!"
The young horse snorted but planted his hooves down again.
Gil wound the rope around his forearm to shorten the leash, walking forward again. "Listen, buddy, I get it, okay? You don't wanna be here?--tough. But it'll be fine if you give it a chance."
Thena watched as, once again, Gil the horse whisperer approached the unsocialised steed and spoke with him on even ground. She could imagine that if they dealt with canines that the unruly new creature would be seating itself before him.
"You think I got into this business because you smell great?" Gil snorted right back at the horse, who turned its face away from the joke about horse smell in general. "I used to just make horseshoes. But I met one horse, just like you, that was way too full of itself."
The horse whinnied again, complaining about its lecture.
"Shut up and listen," Gil sighed, loosening his grip on the rope. "I had to get some horseshoes on this thing, so I spent a whole month winning it over. And do you know what happened?"
The stallion just stared at him.
Thena felt the familiar and uncomfortably moist breath of a horse leaning over her shoulder. She nudged her nose away from her ear, "sh, just listen."
"I finally got the horse shoes on," Gil put his hands on his hips (the rope almost totally slack in his hand). "And he took a dump on me as soon as I did."
The stallion didn't even attempt to hide how much it enjoyed hearing that.
"Olympia," Thena whispered again, nudging her horse, who was also chortling behind her shoulder.
"But his hooves were in good condition for the rest of the season," Gil finished with a huff. He crossed his arms, "because he didn't have to like me, but we did have to work together."
The stallion turned its head somewhat, not wanting to concede.
"So," Gil held his hands up, dropping the rope tethering the horse to him, "I'm gonna let you think about what you want to do."
"Gil?" Thena frowned, watching the rope fall between him and the horse. She moved closer to Olympia subconsciously, and Gil took a few steps back from the horse and closer to her.
Gil stayed still in front of her, watching as the hose kicked and bucked and neighed at the top of his lungs. "He just has to get it out of his system."
Thena wasn't sure if there would be an end in sight to that. But Gil knew what he was doing, maybe more than any equestrian club member in the building. Although she had to admit that the sheer size and display put her on edge.
Gil didn't say anything - very kindly - about her clutching at his sleeve.
The stallion glared at him, panting from its display of protest. It stalked over to him slowly.
"Gil," Thena repeated, tugging at him more. The horse truly was huge, standing much, much taller than Olympia. She moved somewhat more behind him, "Gil!"
"It's okay," he said calmly, whether to her or the horse staring them down. He raised his hands openly, "you ready to give this another try?"
Thena held her breath, nearly hiding her eyes as Gil reached out to the stallion's nose. But she let it go as he actually let Gil pet him. It was slight, and after just a few pats he was sick of it, turning away and flicking his tail again. But Gil had done it, in a sense.
"It's okay," he chuckled, watching his stubborn new stablemate stomp around petulantly. "I think he's done with his temper tantrum, at least for now."
"Hm," Thena mused, unable to match his level of surety. But she did her best to pretend she hadn't been clinging to him. "I'm sure the riders will be eager to think that they can have a go at him, now."
"Well, I think he'll be reluctant to let anyone that close to him yet," Gil ruffled his hair, letting out a tense breath. He turned back to her properly, "sorry you had to get caught up in that."
She tilted her head at him, "was it true?--about you and taming that horse?"
"It is true," he rolled his eyes, "not that it's a nice story or anything. But that is how I started caring for horses and not just making horse shoes. So I guess I know how to deal with colts like him."
The stallion bellowed at him from across the pen, just to complain about being called a young colt.
"Save it, buddy," Gil chuckled back at the horse.
"You make an interesting pair, that is certain," Thena smiled, gravitating back to the side of her own lovely mare. "Should I look forward to watching you mount in the future?"
"Hm?" Gil blinked at her. "Oh, I'm no rider, I'll leave that to you guys."
Gil laughed it off, but Thena watched as he smacked the outside of his thigh, clad in blue jeans to emphasize that he wasn't a rider. But she wasn't sure about that, because he was definitely strong enough to ride if he wanted to.
Not that she had noticed such things.
"Come on," Thena murmured to Olympia as Gil went back to the steed, the boys bonding over whatever males bonded over. She tickled the nose of her prim white horse, "let's leave the men to their work."

We need more dressage AU because it’s a great story! 😁
What if Thena comes to the stall and hears Gil angrily discussing with another rider how it’s not okay what kind of hurtful and abusive methods he uses on his horse? And how he can’t let him continue to train with his horse since it got nasty injuries? 😳
"I'm telling you to take today off, he needs to rest!"
"I don't pay you to give me advice, I pay you to groom my damn horse!"
"You don't pay me at all!"
Thena picked up her pace from a brisk walk to a canter. She didn't like the sound of whatever was happening in the stables, and however it involved Gil.
"I pay the club fee, which pays your salary, stable boy!" the rider in question pointed out in a very haughty and yet also incorrect way. "So as far as I'm concerned, either you fit him with new shoes, or I'll find someone who will!"
"He wouldn't need new horseshoes if you hadn't have driven him into the ground!" Gilgamesh argued, not one to be intimidated by some rich boy. "You're not feeding him properly, you're letting him knock into hurdles that are too high, spraining his joints, it's gonna get him hurt!"
"It's a horse!" he spat back in Gil's face. "It's supposed to jump hurdles, that's the whole point of this place!"
"What is happening in here?!"
"Ah," the rider turned to her with an unfortunately familiar smile, "Thena, my lovely."
"Eros," she scowled, walking over to Gil's side, "what are you harassing Gil over?"
Reminded of the problem at hand, but also wanting to keep up his more charming charade, Eros shook his head. "Nothing to fret over, my love. The stable hand seems to be questioning if he should fit Pip with some new horseshoes. I insisted, but-"
"Eros, Gil is right," Thena told him in no uncertain circumstance. She put her hands on her hips, "Pip has been training nonstop and you're bound to run him ragged at this rate."
Eros kept an even expression on, but the faint twitch in his eye betrayed him. "Pip is a trained animal, my sweet. I'm sure he can handle standard training."
"It's past standard," Thena argued in the horse Pip's defense (despite the way he, like his rider, liked to invade Olympia's personal space). She shook her head, "Pip hasn't had a single afternoon off this week, and he's eating half the calcium Olympia is. You can't go on at this rate."
"I-"
"He," Thena corrected, holding her palm up to stop Eros before he could get even more on her nerves. "He can't go on at this rate."
"Thena," Eros tutted, "I know Pip is not a champion to Olympia's degree, but that is the purpose of pushing him."
"There is such a thing as pushing too hard."
"That's what I'm saying," Gil huffed, also crossing his arms.
Eros gave Gil a much - much - more derisive look. "Listen, mate, it's one thing for Thena and I to discuss our horse care. It's your job to carry out what we want done, isn't it?"
"Actually," Thena glared, even taking a step forward. "Gil is the expert, far exceeding our knowledge. If he had advice about your horse, you should be listening."
"Thena-"
"We're lucky to have a caretaker who actually cares about our horses' health!" Thena moved from speaking firmly to raising her voice, taking another step into Eros' space. "We know about what our horses can do, but he knows about what they shouldn't! He's the one who mixes their food and sources the ingredients and grooms them and cares for their hooves! We wouldn't place in anything if not for him!"
Eros blinked. Thena was leaning forward but far from face to face with him, given their difference in height. He did step back, though, and straightened his riding jacket. "I didn't realise our stable hand had such a devoted ally."
Thena narrowed her eyes at him. She refused to rise to his hackles; she refused to be an 'Ikaris' about this. "His name is Gilgamesh. And officially, his title is stable manager!"
"I see," Eros conceded, and yet still sounded like he was saying something condescending. He straightened his cuffs with their shimmering gold button. "I have no desire to be on your bad side, mi amore. So I will be off. Please, do as you see fit Mister...Gilgamesh."
Thena and Gil both watched as Eros strode out of the stables as if he had won something in their petty little argument (over his horse no less!). She huffed, "such a prick."
Gil snorted in the middle of trying not to laugh too loudly. He nudged her arm with his elbow, "I'm not allowed to say it...but I can agree when you say it."
"Agree all you like," Thena murmured, still glaring in the direction of the exit until Eros was assuredly out of sight. She huffed and uncrossed her arms. "He's always that insufferable too."
"I feel bad for Pip," Gil rubbed the back of his neck as he started moving towards the stall where said horse had overheard everything (and not attempted to come to his rider's defense once).
"I don't," Thena deadpanned, and Gil did laugh outright this time. She smiled, "it's not his fault, it's Eros' influence on him."
Pip was a brown furred and somewhat mangy looking horse, despite his rider's immaculate coif. He turned, immediately flipping his tail and whinnying.
"Olympia isn't with me, you menace," Thena immediately shot down the horse's excitement to see her horse with her.
Pip looked forward again, as dejected as a horse could look. He huffed.
Thena rolled her eyes. Both Eros and Pip loved sidling up into hers and Olympia's personal space to try out their charms, limited as they were. "Honestly, get those aged shoes off of him, leave them off. If Eros complains that he's not practice ready I'll handle him personally."
Gil chuckled, retrieving the necessary tools to pry up the horseshoes that were a little overdue to come off. "I would love to see that."

Oh you gotta continue the dressage AU! It looks promising and already so good too!
Maybe something cute? Gil playing with Olympia? And Thena who wanted to look after Olympia coincidentally sees it? And she is not only watching her mare 👀
"Olympia?" Thena looked around, not spotting her mare in the fields. She walked down the steps of the clubhouse, the apples she swiped from the brunch table in hand. "Olympia!"
Where was that devilish horse?
Thena walked towards the stables, where at the very least there would be someone who would know where Olympia was.
She and Gilgamesh had come to know each other better. She had to admit that she judged him perhaps too quickly. He was a very experienced and diligent caretaker, and he really did know the horses very well. Olympia especially seemed to get the very best food mix, the best attention, the best of everything!
The club would insist on nothing less, after all, given she was their top prize winner. But to have a caretaker who actually cared about Olympia because she was Olympia was...refreshing. And he was not so bad to know as a human, either.
"Olympia?"
Thena walked into the stables, the doors open to air the place out on such a temperate day. She leaned against one of the pen doors, rolled open for exactly who she was looking for.
"Gotcha!"
Olympia whinnied in glee, cantering and kicking like a bunny as Gil played peekaboo with her. She was like a puppy with a toy as her handler took turns peeking at her in between shovelling her hay.
"Hm," Gil pursed his lips, setting aside the shovel as he moved onto the bales. He looked over the wrong shoulder, "it feels like someone is here...but I don't see anyone."
Olympia shuffled her hooves, moving behind him further as he slowly turned around the wrong way to see her.
"Hello!" he called out, chuckling at the sound of the horse behind him. "Oh!"
Thena leaned off the barn door, officially caught in the act. "Oh, h-hi."
"Thena," he smiled as she walked over to them. He grinned, his hands on his hips, "have you seen Olympia?"
Thena barely bit back a laugh; he had his charms, she had to concede. "I...was just looking for her."
"Me too," he put on a look of confusion, ruffling his hair. His shirt had come a little undone in his work. "I was going to get her a snack, but-"
Thena hid her laughter behind her hand as Olympia nudged his hand with her snout and then got her slobbery lips all over them. "Olympia!"
But Gil had no admonishment for the snackish mare, "there you are!"
Olympia cantered on the spot in humour.
Thena went to her mare's side, smoothing her hand down her neck, "he spoils you."
Olympia looked at her as if to tell her not to spoil the fun.
"I spoil her?" Gil smiled, taking one of the apples Thena had brought with her in hand. "And what are these?"
"They were-" Thena gave Olympia a pointed look, "for a very hard working horse when she took a break. But I don't see any hard work being done."
Olympia nudged Gil, urging him to convince her rider to surrender the juicy snack.
"Hey," he chuckled, looking down at the apple in his hands, "I work very hard."
"That you do," Thena murmured. Gil dug his thumb into the top of the apple's core and then split the damned thing right in half. Maybe he was used to it, but it was still quite a feat to witness, nonetheless. He fed one to OIympia and took a bite of the other half for himself.
"At least I have some company," Gil smiled at Olympia, patting her nose as she crunched her surprise snack. He looked back to Thena, "what are you up to now?"
"Well," she blinked; his shirt seemed to come more and more undone the longer she spoke with him. "Practice this morning was thorough. I thought I would look in on Olympia before leaving for the day."
"Aw, we're having a nice time, right girl?" Gil cooed to the horse who was so smitten with him. Her tail swished behind her. "After hay time I was going to give her a nice brushing, maybe a hose down if it's necessary."
Olympia stomped her hoof.
"Stop it," Thena chided, pointing in her horse's long face, "you behave for Gilgamesh. He quite literally does everything he does for you."
Olympia turned faintly, shamed by Thena's scolded.
"Hey, it's okay," Gil said more gently as Olympia sought to hide behind him. "The others don't like baths either."
Thena gave him a look, "this is what I mean by you spoiling her. She had declared you her ally against me."
"I'm not taking anyone's side," Gil laughed, holding up his hands in good will. "I'm here to bale the hay and brush the horses."
Thena looked at the massive pile of hay beside them, both the loose stuff and the pre-rolled and blocked bales. "This is an awful lot for just you, Gil."
He shrugged, though, like staring down a mountain of hay up to the ceiling was nothing. "It's a full afternoon, that's for sure."
"Surely they can't expect you to do it all alone," Thena frowned as he did indeed start drifting back to the hay. She put her hand on Olympia's nose.
"I'm used to it."
Thena could argue that it didn't make it right, but he hefted up a bale and started moving them into each of the pens for the horses. She knew they could weigh around 50 pounds for the smaller blocks. Hay was light, but densely packed, anything could reach a weight that was still a pain to lift and move. "I can help."
"Thena, really," he gave her a look as he walked back for another one. "I only need two in each stall, it won't take long. The rest I'll load onto the forklift to be moved later."
"There must be something I can do," she frowned, not willing to just let it go as he picked up another one.
He set it down at his feet, his back stretching as he did. Why was his shirt so thin?! Thena blinked as he stood up, pulling her eyes away from the spectacle of it all.
"Really, Thena, I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself," he said gently. "Not to mention the club would probably kill me in the back woods if I let their prized champion help me shovel the slop."
Thena rolled her eyes; what was this, the 18th century? "I am more than capable of basic horse care. I did manage it long before you came along."
"Hey, I'm not doubting that," he chuckled, looking at Olympia, who was watching their debate with bulbous eyes. "She's the best shape I've seen in a horse here."
Thena held her head high, her pride showing through.
"Okay," he shrugged, putting his hands on his hips again. Was he allowed to work in such a flimsy shirt? Wasn't he supposed to wear protective gear or something? "Hose her down for me, then."
Thena looked over her shoulder at Olympia, who looked away.
"You said you wanted to help," he chuckled, walking past her for more hay again. "She needs a brush and a little shampooing. Then, if you're really keen on helping, you can help me shovel the loose stuff."
The lighter stuff, he meant. Thena put her hands on her hips as well, "fine."
He nodded at her, seeming quite amused by her firmness, "deal."
He moved to retrieve another bale, hoisting this one all the way up onto his shoulder. His back muscles were plain to see regardless of the shirt over them.
Thena sputtered as Olympia flicked her tail right in her face. "Olympia!"
Olympia rolled her eyes and shook her mane out. If she was not going to have her fun, then neither was her rider.

For the Thenamesh Dressage AU:
Olympia gets spooked bei something and out of fear she runs away. Gil sees her running away and searches for her!
Thena paced the front patio of the club's main building. She had been pacing all afternoon, watching the grey clouds roll in steadily. It had been hours she had been out here.
Olympia had been in the fields when apparently she had gotten spooked by something and jumped the fence. She had run off at full speed, only witnessed by a few of the club staff present at the time.
Gilgamesh had gone after her.
Of course he had, though. Not just as a caretaker for the horses, but because he was like that. He cared about every single horse in his stable, and she had no doubt that he would have gone after any of the horses had they escaped.
Thena fidgeted with the sleeves of her turtleneck, clacking her boots on the wooden deck. A storm was coming in, and if they had thunder and lightning to worry about, it was even less likely they would find Olympia without injury or incident. She was about two seconds away from stealing Ikaris' steed Achilles and riding him out to find her.
Not that the club would let that happen. Not only would Ikaris kill her, but there were certain expectations of her as their champion rider, and one of those expectations was definitely not to go rogue and ride out into a thunderstorm and get herself killed.
How was Gil going to wrangle a spooked horse all by himself?
He was strong--obviously. But would just 'being strong' be enough to pull the stubborn mare back from a panic attack? What if she was truly scared? She was a kicker, and if Gil was in the wrong position at the wrong time...
Thena shuddered. No, certainly not; Gilgamesh was a trained and accomplished caretaker. He knew how to approach and handle a spooked horse. He was probably on his way back with Olympia right now!
She had been telling herself that for the last hour and a half straight.
"They'll be all right," she muttered, mostly to herself. Every since she had found Gilgamesh talking to her horse that day in the stables, she had taken up the habit for herself. She could see why he did it; it felt somewhat calming to voice her thoughts. "They'll be fine."
"Thena?"
She just sighed as Sersi walked up the club steps to her side. "They're not back yet."
The veterinarian nodded, offering a supportive pat on the shoulder, "I heard about the incident. I'm sure they'll be back any time now."
Thena gave her a tight lipped nod. Obviously Sersi was able to read the anxiety off of her. "I...I hate to think they're-"
"Oh!"
Thena looked up. Somehow, Sersi was right; on the far side of the ring, a bright spot of white emerged from the treeline. Olympia was clearly covered in branches and other evidence of her sprint. Gilgamesh was guiding her back with a makeshift lead looped around her neck. He looked exhausted.
Sersi blinked as Thena took off from the deck in a run.
The closer she got, the more she could see that Olympia had obviously fallen at some point, her right side positively caked with mud. Gilgamesh didn't seem much better off, also covered in sticks and pine needles and leaves. He had a few smears of dirt on him and some light looking scratches and cuts along his skin.
He smiled at her.
"Hey," he greeted with a heavy wave, "don't worry, she's not hurt. I-"
Thena threw herself forward, pressing her face in, "thank goodness."
Gilgamesh froze, not moving an inch with her arms wrapped around him, pinning his arms to his sides. "Uh... "
Thena released him, not thinking about it in the slightest as she turned on her horse, "what were you thinking, young lady!"
Olympia ducked her head and looked away from her, a vague look of shame settling over her long features. She huffed.
"You could have gotten hurt!" Thena continued to scold her impulsive mare, taking the rope from Gil's hand and leading Olympia back to the stables. "And that's nothing to say of putting poor Gil through this!"
"Really, I-"
"You are in big trouble, you," Thena grumbled, her steam running out as they made their way back to the stables. Thena laid her head against Olympia's mane, twigs and mud be damned, "do you know how worried I was?"
Olympia blew through her lips, angling her face to somewhat nudge Thena affectionately.
"I know you are," she sighed, petting her horse for the comfort of them both. "Let's get you washed up, you filthy thing. Gilgamesh has done enough for you for one day."
"Thena, really, I-"
Thena continued right into the stables. She walked Olympia right in, ready to hose her right down. Yes, she would get covered in mud and water and horse hair and be disgusting by the end of it. But having her horse back safe and sound was well worth it. "Go on."
Olympia walked into her stall with her head hung low in shame.
"Thena, really," Gil attempted to comfort her again. "She's fine, I'm fine--and we're lucky for it!"
Thena gave him a brief once over, her eyes moving over the mud in his hair and the beginnings of rope burn on his palms. She pressed her hand to his, watching as he flinched from the sting of it. "Hm--go to Ajak and have her tend to those."
"But-"
"Go!" she barked at him. He had that soft, gentle face, though, and her usual temper shook in the face of it. She sighed, "I'll take care of Olympia. You should go take care of yourself."
He gave her a funny kind of smile, which she couldn't entirely read in the moment. "Thanks--for worrying about me, I mean."
Thena blinked as he obeyed her order to go to the club medic to have his injuries tended to. She paused; she had been worried about him, sure. She just didn't know how to feel about him knowing that she had been worried about him.
Olympia whinnied loudly at her rider.
"Sorry, sorry," Thena muttered, stepping into her stall with her to examine her before making a mess of both of them.

What came to my mind recently is a AU in wich Thena is a very talented and famous dressage rider. For Gil I thought he would be the one who is responsible for looking after all the horses at the most luxurious horse riding club. And Thena is a member at this club.👀
"Whoa, girl," Thena crooned, pulling back on the reins gently as Olympia slowed to a canter and then to a walk. Thena lowered to the saddle before dismounting and pulling off her helmet, patting her mare's sheer white side of gossamer fur. "That groomer really knows what he's doing."
"It's apple juice."
Thena whirled around, glaring at the sudden source of sound intruding on her space. He wasn't as close as she had feared, although most at the club still knew to give her an even wider berth than the horses.
She hadn't actually met the caretaker in person yet, mostly having heard how much the horses all seemed to adore him. She had doubted it to a certain extent, especially in the case of her Olympia. The sparkling white mare was just as antisocial as her rider.
Or so she thought.
Thena stared as Olympia happily nudged the caretaker's hand with her nose, inviting him to pet her with a swishing of her tail behind her. Her ears even flicked with joy as he showered her with compliments on her coat and her form and anything else he could think of.
And the stubborn and aggressive Olympia ate it right up.
"Thena, right?" he looked at her with a smile, still rubbing Olympia's nose as he took her reins in hand for himself. "I'm Gilgamesh, the new carer for the horses."
"Yes," she murmured, eyeing the man cautiously. He seemed nice enough, but didn't most people, at first? He was tall in stature and even wider than that. Perhaps it came from having to haul the hay. "I have heard about your exemplary work with them."
"Aw, that's sweet," he grinned at her, uncaring if she was making it up or paying him a false compliment or not. "I don't know about that. Some of us are still getting to know each other."
Thena was still taking in the way Olympia was nearly giddy from the presence of the caretaker. She had never seen her horse like this before. "Will you stop it?"
Olympia whinnied at her, though.
Thena bristled, "are you laughing at me?"
Gilgamesh tickled between Olympia's nostrils. "She's just excited because I promised her some sugar after your ride today."
Thena crossed her arms at the caretaker, walking beside him - although Olympia had proudly stuck her head between them - as he guided them both back to the stables. "And how often do you let her have this?"
"Just once a week," he promised her, unminding of her sharp line of questioning. "I know Olympia doesn't do well with a lot of sugar. But she really loves it. That's where the apple juice comes in."
"Don't tell me-"
"It's not from concentrate," he assured her preemptively this time, which only made her even more annoyed with him. "I press the apples myself and then I add it to her mix. It all tastes a lot sweeter for it, so then I can add more vitamins to it without having to argue with her to eat it."
"Well, that's..." rather brilliant, actually. Thena had long suffered Olympia's stubbornness about eating a well balanced diet. "I suppose that was a good idea."
Gilgamesh let Olympia nudge his face with her nose in affection, even giving his ear some attention. He just patted her cheek, letting her express herself freely. "She's a beautiful mare, and she's stronger than any of the others. She needs the right nutrition to keep that up. But she's also just like any young horse who wants to let loose and have fun sometimes."
Thena observed Olympia critically. It was true, she was relatively young for a mare in competitive dressage. And she had been in a rather good mood the last few weeks, the reason for which had eluded Thena. It seemed she had found it at last.
"Thank you."
"Hm?" he looked past Olympia's nose at her.
"For caring for her so," Thena ran a hand down her mare's neck, "diligently. It assures me that she's in good hands when I'm not here."
Gilgamesh ducked around Olympia's head to walk on the same side as Thena, still holding the horse's bridle gently. "You take really good care of her, and I know you want to know I'm doing the same here."
"Of course I do." It baffled her that some of the other riders in the club didn't care for their horses so much as see them as vehicles. She had heard some of them refer to the horses' rest days as 'tune ups', as if they were racing cars.
"I've met a few horses like her," Gilgamesh offered lightly in conversation. "It takes a strong rider to tame one this strong willed. I can see why you two get along."
"Because I am also stubborn and difficult?" Thena raised a brow at him.
"I was just gonna say because you both hate Ikaris."
Thena turned her head back to the track as a tiny laugh escaped her.
As if sensing her desire to keep her laughter concealed, Olympia nickered loudly instead.
"That's right, don't you?" Gil cooed to the horse, who stomped her front hooves in glee.
"Olympia," Thena sighed, although she had already gotten the impression that scolding her horse would do no good when the amiable caretaker was around.
Finally at the stables, Gil undid Olympia's bridle and slipped it off her head. He scratched her face for her, which made her shake herself off in appreciation. "It's friday, girl; let's get you that pedicure."
Thena smiled to herself. She could see more and more reason the horses enjoyed his company so much. "Thank you, Gilgamesh."
"It's nothing," he shrugged off her genuine praise of him.
She crossed her arms, "it is not nothing. I am trying t--Olympia!"
The horse whinnied again, nudging Thena continuously in the back with her massive snout.
"Olympia, that's enou-" Thena didn't get the chance to finish, nudged directly into the chest of the caretaker.
"Whoa," he let out a puff of air, one of his hands coming up to her arm. "Are you okay?"
Thena growled, pushing off of his - stupidly firm - chest and whirling around on her horse. "You and I are going to have a chat, young lady."
Olympia turned away from her like a sullen teen, flicking her tail.
"Look at me when I'm speaking to you!"
Gilgamesh just chuckled to himself, beginning the process of putting away Olympia's equipment so he could scrape her hooves. He let Thena have her discussion with her suddenly disobedient companion. He wouldn't want to interrupt and undermine Thena's discipline. Plus it was cute to see her arguing with a horse.

Would you do another one for the Thenamesh Dressage AU?
Thena frowned as she made her way to the stables. She was here to check on Olympia before their afternoon training, as well as just spend some quality time with her horse.
"And so then I said, no, I dare you to do it!"
Thena tilted her head, her ponytail swaying against her shoulders. She knew that voice, despite having only spoken with him a few times by now. He was chatting with someone very casually. Maybe he was on break.
"We all do dumb things when we're young, though--right?"
Whomever he was speaking with didn't offer a reply. At least, not one that she could hear.
"Ah," he laughed, "you're still young. You have time for that kinda thing."
Thena approached as she heard the tapping of Olympia's fresh horseshoes being applied. "Gilgamesh?"
"Thena!" he looked up from scraping the mare's hooves out, waving at her with his farrier hammer. "Nice to see you!"
He had been talking to Olympia.
It seemed hard to believe, but there was not a single other soul present in the stables this early. Just him and Olympia, tied up to the post and letting Gil attend to her hoof care.
Thena looked at her mare, who bobbed her head lightly. "I'm sorry to interrupt your...riveting conversation."
Gilgamesh leaned up from Olympia's rear hoof and swiped at his forehead with his rolled up sleeve. He really was massive. "Well, it's mostly ,e blah-blah-blah-ing away. But this sweet girl has been indulgent of it so far, right?"
Olympia snorted, shaking her head faintly and stomping out her newly adorned hooves.
"Perhaps she likes taking part in your talks," Thena suggested with a light smile, running her hand over Olympia's coat, which only seemed to become softer and shinier. "I'm not the most talkative, even when it's just us."
"Do you play any music or anything when you hang out?" he asked with a shrug, not at all judging her quieter nature.
Perhaps it was his attachment to the horses that made him call it 'hanging out' when he was with them. It felt so...affectionate. Thena moved around her horse to inspect the work he'd done so far, "I suppose I ask her how she's feeling, tell her what to expect for training for the day."
"You could tell her some jokes."
Thena looked over Olympia's back at the taller man. She was sure her expression was frosty, at best. "Jokes?"
"Yeah," he smiled back at her, not at all intimidated by her prickly personality. He nudged Olympia's jaw, "hey, when's the best time to make a dentist appointment?"
Olympia blinked at him.
"Tooth-hurty!"
Thena sighed; right, 2:30... Despite the positively dreadful punchline, Gil laughed from his belly, and Olympia joined in his delight, knickering and bobbing her head even with her bridle in her mouth. Thena shook her head, running her hand over Olympia's mane to keep her from tugging at the reins too much. "Okay, all right...it was not nearly that funny."
"You're right," Gil wound down from his laughter, still smiling, "but she loves 'em. I've started reading an old joke book to her while we're grooming, just 'cause she likes them so much."
Thena sighed again, although she could feel a smile threatening to emerge on her face. She could just imagine him telling her horse truly awful jokes and little riddles and limericks as he shampooed her.
"I think she just likes to hear people laughing," he shrugged as he finished brushing her far side and finally laid her saddle blanket over her back. "It is the best medicine, y'know."
"Indeed," Thena drawled as he untied her reins and petted her nose gently. Olympia relished his touch, which still surprised Thena to a degree. He handed over the reins with a smile, "I'll try playing videos with laugh tracks for her."
"That's a great idea!" Gilgamesh beamed at her openly. He was such an open book, this caretaker. He walked alongside them as Thena led Olympia to her personal stable, the mare's lunch in his hand. "It's nice that you come in here to spend time with her. I swear I can't convince any of the riders to just hang out in here to save my life."
"Hm," Thena looked down at the bend of Olympia's legs as they clopped along. "Some of the other club members are...more career driven."
What she meant was that they didn't care enough about their horses, seeing them only as vehicles for the competitions they entered. She frowned upon it, and she wasn't afraid to make that opinion known. But the thing with rich equestrians was that they didn't much care what was thought of them.
"She misses you," Gil said lightly, shrugging his wide shoulders as he switched Olympia's food bucket between hands. "That's why I try to talk to her and stuff while we're here."
Thena smiled. The idea that he had begun the - rather odd - habit for her horse's comfort was kind of cute. "I appreciate your concern for her. I miss her too when I'm home."
Gil opened the door to the stall that was the champions', Olympia happily trotting into her little haybed with a fresh set of horseshoes on and her tail brushed. "Ooh, feelin' fancy?"
Olympia whinnied at him, free of her bridle.
"Settle down," Thena directed her gently, attempting to calm the mare. "You have food to eat."
"Smells good, right?" Gil grinned, wafting the bucket under Olympia's nose before hanging it up for her. "Fresh apple juice, a few chopped up carrots, some protein mix."
Thena watched as Olympia did indeed tear into her food, chosen and mixed lovingly by the caretaker. It was nothing like when Thena had chosen her food mix and had to argue with her everyday to eat it. "Unbelievable."
"What?"
Thena rolled her eyes, watching from a safe distance as Olympia ate, "that my horse adores you so much more than me."
"Hey," he denied gently, tilting his head at her, "I'm just, like, the fun babysitter, or the cool teacher, or something. She knows that you're her family."
Thena smiled. She certainly liked to think of it like that, even if her fellow riders liked to act like she was insane for having such a bond with her horse. "If I could fit her into my one bedroom apartment, I would."
Gil let out another deep laugh. It seemed the other horses were also used to this sound from him. "I know what you mean. I've got room and board here for the job, so I don't have much better an option."
Thena furrowed her brows, "they keep you here at the club? That seems-"
"It's not bad," he shrugged, cutting her off before she could voice how borderline unethical that seemed. How did he ever 'go home' after work if he lived here? "The cabin they gave me on the grounds is nice, and everything is covered under my salary."
"Still," Thena murmured, although Gil was already moving forward to collect Olympia's bucket for her.
"What a good girl," he cooed, getting nudged in the face to receive sloppy horse kisses to his cheek. "Okay, okay, you're welcome."
Thena laughed faintly as he walked out with the empty bucket, swiping at his ear, "you are a flirt."
Olympia flicked her tail in denial.
Thena glanced briefly in the direction the caretaker had disappeared. "I suppose I can see why you're...fond of him."
Olympia tilted her head to stare at her with one of her massive eyes.
Thena scratched her cheek, "but that does not mean I am going to read you dad jokes."
