Do you ever think about how only 5 samurai clans continue to exist to this day... and two of them are the Date and the Tokugawa...
#muse: date soma.#(looks at Soma and Tsubasa's similar ways of raising their bands in comparison to the Takeda/Uesugi/Hojo)#The Takeda and Hojo clans fell a Long time ago#The Uesugi clan /technically/ still exists but it no longer has Anything to do with the samurai lifestyle#Meanwhile the Date clan continues to take part in the samurai festival in Sendai to honor their roots as a samurai clan even now#The Tokugawa clan continues to uphold their legacy too but they're mostly business-like these days#Ironically enough the Date are the ones who seem to have preserved their samurai roots The most and The best... very Somacore behavior#This post was prompted by me wondering what Soma would do in a modern au... and istg this man would be a Date NO MATTER WHAT#He just keeps on reincarnating in the Date bloodline every few decades he's going to be a Date forever atp... so I got my answer. ADGFSDHAJ#He'd probably be a Date heir (again for the 347332th time since the Sengoku period) as well as a politician
