CHAPTER EIGHT (TQOHH)
Tumblr media
Aemond Targaryen x Targaryen OC
Description: Her warmth and love caress his soul making him hum with bliss. Having her presence near makes all of the dark thoughts perish, as she was the flowers that grew in the darkest part of him. She is the keeper of his soul. Holder of his heart. Without her, he is nothing.
The Queen of His Heart Series
News of Rhaenyra and her family upcoming arrival to Kings Landing grew near. In the beginning, a raven was sent from Dragonstone informing they will be flying on dragon back within a fortnight. When Otto read the parchment letter aloud, something inside of Alicent told her something was going to happen. She couldn't quite put her a finger as to what, nor could she describe the uneasiness her gut was brewing every second as the day came near. It was no surprise to her or her father the reason behind why Rhaenyra was coming back after two years of silence. When news broke out of Corlys Valaryon injury in Stepstones, it was like an open door for Vaemond Valaryon to challenge the throne of Driftmark since he believes that it is his right by blood. Furthermore, it gave Rhaenyra the ever more reason to return back to the capital soil to defend her second born claim and with her family as shield reveal a font of strength and loyalty.
Alicent went on ahead in advance to gather her children in Helaena's chambers where she practically gave them speech of being at their best behavior. With Daemon now on Rhaenyra's side, he was the greens biggest challenge as he has eyes everywhere. Especially how protective he is with his wife, and now two children they bare together it is unknown what the rogue prince has up his sleeve. Hearing his mother's tone of worry regarding his uncle, Aemond couldn't help but be intrigue what his uncle made do that he hoped it ended it to be blood.
Six years of training and Aemond is rather curious who will win: him or Daemon. Ever since the tension between them two years ago, Aemond grew blood thirsty to prove his uncle how capable and worthy he is. Not only does he claim the second biggest dragon, but he has also taken a name of being the best swordsmen in all of Westeros that he even challenge every houses top swordsmen to prove his agility.
Today has come for their arrival, and when the Blacks step foot on the capital they were quite offended that no one of importance came to escort them. Nevertheless, it came to be foreseeable. They know that it is no longer their King who runs the Seven Kingdoms, rather Otto and his "dog of a daughter" as Daemon newly named her. So when the family entered inside the palace where they were met with the interior of the Sevens on every corner, it did not feel like home. Rhaenyra questioned whether if those were there two years ago, and Daemon only reply with a shrug. When the two arrived to Kings Landing last time, they didn't pay attention to the change of decor since that time their focus was solely on Eudora.
A whole day was done by the time everyone notice the sun setting and the moon coming its peak. It was now the wolf hour and all the Black could think was heading to their bed as the morrow will be a big day. All of them except the realms delight was able to sleep. Rhaenyra kept tossing and turning due to her heart feeling unsettled. The nerves flowing through her body were signs of anxiousness and anxiety that it made the princess get up from her share bed. She wrapped her robe and went out of her quarters quietly. As she came in front of her fathers quarters, she inform the guards posted by the doors to have her open the door as she needed to talk with her father urgently, and she made sure to give out a tone where they didn't have a choice.
Once the doors open, Rhaenyra brought a stool by the bed where she sat and took her fathers fragile hand. Viserys felt a warmth contact but he did not close his eyes, but base off the familiarity he knew it was no other than his favorite child.
"My only child... my Rhaenyra" he hoarsely spoke. Rhaenyra could no longer hold in her emotions and completely broke down in front of her father. She felt guilty for not staying in Kings Landing, she swore that if she was residing she would've done everything possible to keep up the King's health. But some things happen and she had to put her children first – they were a priority.
Rhaenyra knew she was taking a long shot of asking such request, irregardless she begged; she begged for Viserys to help her fight for Lucerys rightful claim to Driftmark that if he truly wanted her to ascend the throne after him, he as King as well as Grandsire will do what is right. However, what Rhaenyra heard next was not what she expected to hear. "It is she who will take after me... the original who was has the taken the name of Celestial. The child of fire and ice who bares the Targaryen mark, and who has winter in her veins. I know it... Atlas... Maegor came to me and told me himself. It makes sense... everything that had happened makes sense, and now... it will be restore as it starts with her."
"I-I don't understand? Who are you referring to father?" Rhaenyra shook her head not able to progress the words her father was saying. She couldn't point whether if it was the milk of the poppy, the lack of sleep, or the immense pain that is making Viserys speak riddles. But if she were to clear her mind and open her ears a bit more, she would've piece who he was referring too. "If you want me to take upon the throne, you must give me your aid father... p-please."
"Rhaenyra... is that you my daughter" he smiled painfully. "You look so much like my Aemma... absolutely beautiful" slowly his voice began to fade and the King went back to his sleep where he dreamt, unknowingly that his daughter rest her forehead against the back of his hand where she continue to cry as she was still processing the confusing short moment.
Tumblr media
The dreadful day has arrived and Aemond did not want to move from the bed. After seeing his "lovely" nephews after six years, Aemond was drowning of childhood memories. The Strong boys who costume themselves Valaryon's relit the intense fire he had simmered, and its ferocity  thirsted for the blood of the boy who legitimacy was being challenged.
After his training with Ser Cole, Aemond did not have dinner with his family and requested to have his food in her room. After seeing them it not only brought childhood trauma, but it also brought memories of her. Aemond would remember when him and Eudora were younger of how much she talked about the Strong boys; he would constantly hear the care in her voice whenever she mentioned Lucerys, but more for Jacaerys since the two were a lot closer. Thirteen year old Aemond was once jealous of their relationship, but after countless times of Eudora reassuring him that he was her bestest friend did his mind understood that their relationship out trumps her relationship with Jacaerys. Her relationship with the Valaryon boy was more of like sibling, while her and Aemond was prospering from friends to lovers.
Aemond barely touched his food that night and he was growing tired, so after spraying Eudora's last drop of perfume on the sheets, Aemond slept soundly.  Now the suns warmth hits his face making him conscious that he had to get himself up. Once he dressed himself in his original leather tunic, did he made his way to the throne room where the rest of his family waited and will probably question why he missed dinner and breakfast.
The room began to fill its space with important lords who were to watch the debate between the blacks and greens. The black stood across from the greens left peripheral vision and not once did either party glance at one another, well maybe just one person which was no other than Daemon Targaryen who wore a scowl on his face. His violet eyes threw daggers at Otto Hightower who sat comfortability on his brother's chair. The audacity this man had that he thought he was above everyone else was astounding. He was nothing but a commoner, a second born who thirsted over power he had not the privilege to gain from his own house. It took Rhaenyra time to conceal her husbands temper, basically giving a look to ease his fire as it wasn't the time nor the place.
The last person to enter the room was Vaemond Valaryon who stood at the center of the room, and was the one to speak his bitting first. Otto commence the petition by nodding over to Vaemond to step to the podium. "My Queen, My Lord Hand. The History of our noble houses extends beyond the Seven Kingdoms to the days of Old Valyria. For as long as House Targaryen rule the skies, House Velaryon ruled the seas. When the Doom fell on Valyria, our houses became the last of their kind. Our forebears came to this new land, knowing that were to fail, it would mean the end of their bloodlines and their names. I have spent my entire life in Driftmark defending my brothers seat. I am Lord Corlys closet kin, his own blood. The true, unimpeachable blood of House Velaryon runs through my veins–"
"As it does in my sons, the offspring of Laenor Velaryon" Rhaenyra defended "if you care so much about your house' blood, Ser Vaemond, you would not be so bold to supplant its rightful heir – No, you only speak for yourself and for your own ambition–" Rhaenyra was going to snipe further till she was cut off by Alicent. The two ex-friends stare each other with a glare. Lucerys felt his mother vexation to peak, so he grew a bit closer to her side in a way of comfort but to Aemond he found it differently.
Not only he doesn't carry the name Velaryon, but he as well doesn't uphold the Strong name, he thought.
Vaemond look over the Queen with thankfulness, but with Rhaenyra over speaking gave him the opportunity to further spit the facts which was proclaiming that even he were to show his true blood, she wouldn't recognize it. Vaemond made it clear that the point of this petition was the sake of the future of his house, not hers which she already carries. It clear from his speech that Vaemond did not sees Lucerys as his blood, and it is factual that not only does not take after Laenor's but as well as Old Valyrian features. Vaemond did not had to explain himself that far, and Lucerys knew it which was why Aemond couldn't help but smirk at the boy who looked like a kicked pup.
After Vaemond finalize his argument, was it now Rhaenyra's turn to display her reason by the permission of Otto Hightower. Rhaenyra made her way to the center to where Vaemond once was, and stare at Otto with --- in her eyes as she spoke, but before she was able to complete her introductions did the doors of the room opened revealing King Viserys himself, who title was announced by the guard. By the looks the Green gave off, they did not expect the King to be up from his feet limping his way. Daemon did not need to look behind him as he was enjoying the faces that Alicent and Otto were giving off – even more please to see Otto step down from the chair. Vaemond look at Otto and Alicent with questioning look, but the two of them gave him similar stare with a hint of defeat. They knew what side the King will reside, so it was now him alone who had to fight for the proclamation.
"I will sit the throne today" he said somewhat tiredly at Otto who nod. Once sat upon the throne, with the help of Daemon who saw his brother struggling did Viserys admit the confusion of a petition of being place over a settled succession, so he turned to Rhaenys giving her the right to speak in regards of her lord husband as it is her right as not only his lady wife, but the one person who was kept their house standing since his injuries.
Rhaenys felt gratitude for the King of allowing her the voice, and so she proclaim that her and Lord Corlys continue to pass their succession onto Lucerys; afterward noted the desire that Rhaenyra came to hand of betrothing her sons with her granddaughters. Hearing such farce made Alicent shake her head disappointedly toward Rhaenys, when it was clear that she knew the suppose Velaryon boy was not Laenor's but a certain former commander.
Viserys reaffirm (once again) Lucerys Velaryon as Lord of the Tides. Rhaenyra smiled triumphantly while Vaemond coughed out in disbelief, but he will not cower without putting a fight. Unfortunately his spotlight did not last long when the double doors to the iron throne opened once again making everyone to look back to meet with a silver hair man who bare runes across his face, and was pale as snow. He wardrobe consist of gold dress made soft cotton, an off trend of Westerosi fashion.  The inscrutable looks they had when they look over the peculiar man was also framed on the Targaryens.
This man passes by as a Valyrian native, but what separate himself were his eyes – he had vermillion eyes... just like Eudora's. Aemond pointed that small piece out, and he wondered if his family also depicted that.
Otto step a bit forward with scrutinizing eyes and he looked over behind the unknown man, and wondered where are the guards? Why did they allow such gatecrasher to intrude?
"Who you are? How did bypass the guards unannounced?" the Hand questioned. The silver hair man ignored the commoner as he foresaw he was not of his importance as of now. When the Hand notice his questioned being ignored, did he look over the guard that stood at the end of the throne, "remove this trespasser this instant!"
"I would cease devoted knight" spoke a familiar voice that peak not only the greens and the blacks, but Aemond who heart rate picked up. Aemond pushed himself in-between his siblings as the heals of the person grew louder.
He knew.
He knew who it was – how could he not? It was like his heart was coming back to him, it felt like he was whole... utterly complete.
He felt the other part of him retracting to its rightful place, and for the first time in two years Aemond felt himself.
He could finally breath with ease.
But he stopped breathing when the speaker finally presented themselves... she presented herself.
There standing confidently tall was Eudora Targaryen, Kings Landing realm jewel has finally return to them unharmed and with knights that stood guard in between her, and that bare a symbol that he did not recognize. Her appearance screamed power, the way she stride her way down the steps with her gold gown that train from the floor.
Finally after years of not speaking her names, he spoke with such softness: "Eudora."
House Targaryen were in shock. Lords present were also deem in shock as they look over the princess who had disappeared for two years. Rhaenyra lost her balance when her eyes came in contact with her daughter, that Daemon was right behind to catch his wife. Rhaenyra eyes glisten and she smiled when she saw her beloved girl. She was finally home. She was at arms length.
Eudora did not look at either party as her focus was solely on her uncle who watched his niece standing at the end of the throne. One of the knights stood close to her and glared at Alicent who extended her hand to touch Eudora's arm, but when he step foot to the Queen did she stagger at the man who glared fiercely with his aurelion eyes; it frighten the Queen as well as her children who had a clear visual point at the man.
"Eudora... oh my Eudora" Viserys cried. The king descended down his chair as he made his way to his niece who smile sadly at her sickly uncle. Viserys place his hands on her cheeks and tear with relief. "You have come home... I knew... I knew you would come home."
"I have come home" she repeated and lean in close to his good ear where she whispered "we must discuss everything."
Aemond who's eye not watch wave off her figure, chest tighten. She not once looked over at him, not even a glance. Did she not miss him as he miss her? Why wouldn't she look at me? he thought worriedly. He thoughts were interrupted when he heard his father nod his head at whatever she whispered, and she moved over to stand by him as she listen to him announcing the end of the petition, but before he were to have the chance to finish did Vaemond came in.
"You dare" he sneered. "You break law and centuries of tradition. Yet not only do you dare who deserves to inherit the name Velaryon, but you end this debate over this... this child" he pointed over Eudora who stare off at him emotionlessly. "I will not allow it"
"'Allow it?" Do not forget yourself Vaemond, as I am your King. Eudora is your princess and you speak to her with the same respect you ought to me." He reminded.
"Do you think I care? I do not care for her, I care for the blood of my house as that is the reason of this petition!" He sneered. "That is no true Velaryon and certainly no nephew of mine."
"Lucerys is my true-born grandson" Viserys reasoned. "You are no more than the second son of Driftmark."
"You may do what you see fit for you house, but you will not decide for mine. My House survived the Doom and a thousand tribulation besides. I will not see it ended on the account of this--" he cut himself off as he was about to word a name Eudora knew he was urging to speak aloud for years.
"Bastard" she finished off making everyone to turn their heads at her. Rhaenyra look over her daughter's emotionless eyes with disbelief. Lucerys felt as well offended of his cousin sudden blurb, as well as the King. Aemond and Aegon look down trying to hide their smirk, but was soon swept from their mouths. "Isn't that what you were going to say Ser Velaryon, or am I mistaken?" Eudora walked her close to the man who look at her with staggering look. "Base off your expression and the look in your eyes, it seems you were going to say bastard. Ser Velaryon that is high treason and the King can take your tongue for such allegation. Lucerys Velaryon is the rightful successor and will do a better job than you, as he will be under the mentorship of Corlys Velaryon himself. Which has me wonder, why petition for the seat of Driftmark when your brother is not dead... unless" she hummed "you wish for him to let out his final breath."
"You dare!"
"I do dare" she smiled, but the way she was smile was wicked that it brought chills to everyone. "Because I know that is what you truly feel, and is the reason why you order such. I also know that it is you who planned Lord Corlys death, unfortunately your plan did not work."
Gasp were traveled around the room – princess Rhaenys stood in shock hearing Eudora's claim. Vaemond felt like he was caught red-handed, but tried not to show it. "You think after two years of disappearing, you think you have the right to speak as if you are entitled to do so. I wonder princess where have you been this whole time while your house depletes through dominion. My, your father would sure be disappointed that I am sure he vexes in his grave–"
"You may speak however you like of me Vaemond Velaryon, but speak about my father again and I will make sure you don't come out this room alive." Aemond watched and was perplexed how calm she spoke that it was quite intimidating. Power is what radiates off Eudora, and it makes everyone in the room to cower of how different the realms jewel came to be. No longer was she see Eudora the Kindhearted.
"I bet wandering off with some low-born where you desperately handed your virtue. You may not be Rhaenyra's mother by blood, but you sure take her form of character" rage is what filled Aemond's blood, and it was rage that made him to walk his way to Vaemond to take it upon himself to cut out his tongue, but was stopped by his mother. Aemond snapped his head to his scared mother who shook her head from having do something.
"Say it" she said lowly. "I dare you" she smirked.
Vaemond looked over at Rhaenyra and back at Eudora, "she... is a whore... as are you."
"Such words for a man who holds a small cock" she said. "Too bad you no longer will able to use it" she chided. She look over at the knight with aurelion eyes "dracarys."
Her family looked over at her questioning, but it was soon answered when the knight spits out fire burning the screaming man into crisp. Eudora watched with delight as the rest of her family watched in horror. Rhaenyra and Daemon protected their children from the blames, as Alicent did the same but with Helaena who hid in her mother neck.
As for Aemond, he was indeed in shock but at the same time arouse when he watched the look on his Eudora face and he couldn't deny the tightness he felt in his trousers.
"No one is to call my mother a whore, and not face the consequences."

The Queen of His Heart Series
Well off to his lonely empty bed, Aemond was still awake at the late hour. Tucked into his bed, head laying on his least favorite side of the bed, the prince stares off to the window where he admires the glitter of the stars shining bright. For the past hours, Aemond try to force himself to sleep. He tried closing his eyes by listening to the howling wind that hits his window, but the singing of the wind did not lullaby him to sleep. He then try focusing on the movement of the ocean that repeatedly clash against the walls of the castle; that was the worse decision he could've made as it resulted of him to be nauseas.
Frustratedly, the prince pushed him up with his elbows and huff out a small breath. Aemond was absolutely uncomfortable. He hated the house of the sea, he hated the throbbing pain pulsing from his stitched eye, and he hated the tight embrace of loneliness wrapped around him. The voices in his mind were loud and all he wanted to do is sleep through the night so by morning, he and his family can finally head their way back to Kings Landing with his dragon in tow so he can began to train with Vhagar. In addition to that, him and Eudora can finally ascend to the sky where he will finally get to feel the pillowy softness of the clouds cascade his scales from where he mounts.
As he sits there, he looks back at the window and watches to see if he could see a tiny glimpse of Jyrot, but again he sees nothing; I mean how could he when Jyrot blends with the night that its nearly impossible to point whether if its your mind messing with you thinkings its a shadow, or if its actually him. As his mind thought of Jyrot, it quickly thinks about her, Eudora. Her frighten eyes had never left his mind. From where he stood behind his mother, he could clearly see the way she was going through a panic attack. Aemond knew that Eudora hated the family feuding with each other, it was something that she was still adjusting too.
With it being just her and her father, who was the only family she spent most of her youth with – she experienced nothing but love. Even during her time living in Driftmark, the Velaryon's took her in as if she was their own; and with Rhaenyra included in her life the heir princess became a mother figure for her. By the time she moved to Kings Landing officially, and witness the first time the fight between Rhaenyra and Alicent once did her bubble of family love pop. Aemond remembered Eudora going up to him, asking him questions why the Queen and her godmother loath each other and of course Aemond told her the story of their friendship that came to an unfortunate end.
"You know my father was the anchor of the family. Whenever Uncle Daemon and Uncle Viserys fought, he would come in as the peacekeeper. They of course listen to him as his words held value and sense. Since then, he was known to being the anchor. Maybe I could take that role, what do you think?" she once questioned him in their usual spot, which was under a weeping tree that sat next to a pond.
"I think you should level your expectation very low cousin, but I won't discourage you to try," the prince advised. If she was anyone he would've been harsh and told her how ridiculous she sounds, except he didn't because Aemond throughout his years of knowing her, knew how big of a heart she had for their family that he made sure that no one took it for granted.
Since then Eudora has became the Anchor of House Targaryen, the peacemaker. She will share her words of wisdom by trying to break apart the arguments. Sometimes they work, but when they don't she warns them by adding Jyrot into the conversation having both parties to shut. She doesn't force them to mend as she knew that was pushing it, all that matter was easing the fights so there wasn't questions regarding the unity of their house. But during what happened today, the tension that could literally cut skin: the blood spilled from her mother, Lucerys bloody nose, and Aemond lost eye is what brought her to that state. It was no blame to Jyrot who felt his riders panic attack peaking out that he destroy the roof of the Nine Hall. In fact, Aemond was gladden that Eudora had a dragon that had such a powerful bond with her, and it made him hope that he gets that familiarity with Vhagar even though she has been with three riders, now four.
As Aemond was stuck in his thoughts of Eudora, he didn't hear the opening of his door chambers behind. He also didn't hear the tiny footsteps that were walking towards him, nor the shadow of the person. It was when he felt a touch on his shoulder did he mid-shouted at who he thought was an intruder, but when he felt the softness of the persons hand covering his mouth and the familiar perfumery did he relax.
Vanilla with a hint of honey and smoke, it was no other than Eudora.
He watched with his one good eye that it was her. The moon lit half of her face giving him the privilege once again to seeing her fiery eyes and rosy lips. When she slowly lifted her hand from covering his mouth, she sat herself down on the side of the bed – taking his hand with hers. "Eudora." he smiled.
"Hello my prince," she smiled tiredly. "I wanted to check up on you before I headed to my chambers, I-I never had the chance to ask you if you were okay... I'm sorry" she whispered in the end. Aemond wanted her to lift her head back up just so he can see those eyes again, but she didn't as she felt she was to blame for not being there for him.
"There's no need for you to apologize cousin, really its our uncle who I'm upset with truly. He didn't want you around me, I mean how could I blame him I'm... I'm hideous. No one would dare to even spare a glance my monstrous face." Eudora snapped her head up to the boy who was now looking down at their hands. Tears began to peak at the corner of her eyes, her heart breaking at his words. "I won't be mad at you, you know... for ending our friendship. I-I'll understand that you don't want people seeing you with a disfigure prince."
"Aemond what is this nonsense, I plea you to stop at once. Look at me," she gentle place her hands against his cheeks where she lifts his attention up at her. This time, she was much closer where he can feel her warmth radiating off.
Violet meet Vermillion.
"With or without your eye Aemond, you are still beautiful to me. With or without your eye you are still my best friend, the boy who I entrust with everything. With or without your eye, your soul is what speaks louder than how you look and if others can't see that then fuck them. They are absolute fools blinded with their insecurities that they would rather press them onto you to satisfy their ego, but I know... I know that you are strong and you will not allow their words get to you. But if they do, I will make sure to remind you of your beauty Aemond, do you understand."
"Y-Yes" he bleated. Aemond at that moment could no longer hold his tears. This is what he needed: he needed her poetic words, her soft warmth where he feels the safest, and her kiss that she place on his cheek that could end all of his pain. A hug is the closet you can get to someone without being inside them. It's interesting how humans instinctively know how to fold into each other where they felt a sense of safety that brings nothing, but a balm to the soul.
Metaphorically that is how Aemond felt as he fold into her. Whenever he felt at his loneliest, all the prince wants is to be held by the person before him. The person who has been by his side since her visit to Kings Landing, the person that has now became the love of his life.
"It was a fair exchange," is what he said. Eudora was the one to pull away having Aemond to frown at the lost warmth, but he made sure that she was kept around his arms that he promised would be a place where she felt safe.
"What do you mean?" She questioned.
"My eye," he pointed. "It was fair exchange. I was here in my chambers when I saw Vhagar laying by the sand. Something told me to go to her, and so I did. The closer I went I felt this pull towards the dragon, and when I was finally close where I felt the smoke of her breathing touch me I understood what you meant."
"You were the one that claimed Vhagar," she finally pieced.
"Yes, and she accepted me as her rider" he smiled proudly. "And to seal the bond, I took my first flight with her and it was extraordinary" Eudora couldn't help but to smile at seeing Aemond's happiness. He did it, he finally claimed a dragon and she was proud of him but in exchange he lost his eye as proclamation. Oh she wished how things were done differently.
"I knew I woken up probably everyone from the castle, and I was right because as I head back by the tunnel there awaited me at the end were the twins alongside Jacaerys and Lucerys. I know the situation could've gone differently, but I couldn't help the pint up anger that came out of me. Besides congratulating me, they fought me which was unfair; one versus four. Then one thing led to another, I was on top of Jacaerys and in protecting his older brother Lucerys had a blade and... this happened" he sighed pointed at the gauze that was wrapped around his stitch eye.
"I-I" she had no words, she didn't know who to put at fault. Baela had no claim on Vhagar, the she dragon was out for the taking with no rider and the pull Aemond had towards Vhagar was the same feeling her father and Laena felt as well. But the aftermath of that, yes Aemond had no right to let his temper cloud but the twins and her nephews could've handle the situation in a better matter where no harm was done. Eudora was at no one side, she couldn't put herself in that situation. "I have no words, both parties in my eyes have done right from wrong to wrong from right. Nevertheless, I congratulate you Aemond for achieving claim on a dragon. Truly, I am proud of you as I assure my father who looks down upon us is too. It's take a strong Targaryen to claim the Queen of Dragons."
"And you claim the King of Dragons, making us the perfect pair" he noted causing Eudora to laugh at his true point.
"King and Queen, we will conquer Westeros together" she smiled.
"I wouldn't have it any other way princess" he smiled. "Tomorrow, your words will come true when the rest of Driftmark see us mount our dragons together as we head to Kings Landing."
"I can't wait," she whispered. Eudora stood up from Aemond's bed as she stretched herself up, and let out a big yawn; the princess eyes began to feel more heavy. Aemond became quickly sadden when he saw that she was going to leave him alone in his bedroom. He wanted to ask her if she can stay, but knew it was no appropriate of him. Nonetheless, he was going to do it either way.
"Can you stay here, perhaps?" he coyly asked. "I know it's not appropriate for a lady such as yourself to sleep in my chambers, but it would be beneficent if you could. I have been feeling rather restless and I can't seem to fall asleep, b-but I'll understand if you deny my request."
Eudora stood there silently as she observed him. He didn't really had to say further much when she knows that in truth he doesn't want to feel alone. Eudora could read Aemond Targaryen like an open book, and she knows that he knows that which is why she never has him explain himself in depth; just by reading him is enough. With a gentle sigh she agreed in her mind, besides she was too tired to walk to the east wing where there was her room that she lived since she was little girl.
When Aemond didn't hear anything from her, but movement he grew embarrass for asking such request, however, when he felt his cover lift that was when he looked to his left to see Eudora getting under the covers. He watched with a widen eye of her slamming her pillow to make it more fluffed, and as she cuddled herself in the cover did she looked up at the stunned boy. "Well, are you not going to sleep or are you going to just sit there and watch me like a creep" she chuckled.
"Oh, r-right right." She laughed at how rigid he was and continue to laugh at the way his hand shook when he lifted the covers. Once he got himself comfortable, he laid looking at her.
Violet meeting Vermillion.
With drowsy eyes, Eudora eyes slowly flutter and she whispered "Goodnight Aemond."
"Goodnight Eudora," said the prince. With that, she snoozed right away while Aemond continue to watch her. Underneath the covers, his hand search for hers and once he felt her fingertips he interlock their hands together. The feeling of her touch made his mind and soul go complete abyss having sleep beginning to blanket.

Aemond woke up with a bang coming from his door. The boy shot up from his position as he looked underneath the gap of his chamber door of guards footsteps passing his room. Again came another bang and loud voices that seemed to be coming from his mother and Rhaenyra.
Curiosity peaked in him as he began to move from his bed, and when he moved just the slightest he felt an arm around his waist. Looking down Aemond saw Eudora whose arm was wrapped his waist and her cheeks laid against his chest. Aemond heart began to race and he grew nervous that it may awaken her which is something he did not want. In fact, he quite liked this position and he did not want to get out of bed as this was something that he wanted to cherish.
However, the bang that came again grew louder causing Eudora to wake from her slumber. Aemond breathe from his nose at the short moment.
Eudora brows pinched together of the noise and at first she grew confuse where she was for a moment. When she lifted herself off from the harden surface she turned to meet Aemond and she staggered backwards. "S-Sorry, didn't mean to scare you."
"No you didn't scare me, I just – I forgot where I was for a moment that's all." Before Aemond was to speak, the voice of his grandsire echoed the hallways making the two Targaryen grow confuse what was going on, again. "What is happening?"
"Your guess is the same as mine, I awoke as well from the commotion," said Aemond. Eudora heard her mother shouts through the hallway, and that made the princess lift herself off the bed quickly. "W-wait wait – Eudora don't go without me" he snapped. Eudora rolled her eyes at the boy, and stick out her hand which he took and from there the two exit out from his chamber. They followed the voices of their mothers and when the loud noise was heard more clearer they came across the open doors of the study room.
The two peak their head from the corner and saw their mothers, Daemon, Viserys, Ser Criston, and the King's Hand presented in the room. Daemon arms was around Rhaenyra's waist as Alicent was being held back by Ser Criston by orders of the King. The tension between the two ladies was felt from where they stood and Aemond felt Eudora hand tighten with his. He watched the young girls eyes began to sullen and so he wrapped his arm around her shoulder, pulling her where she laid her head against his chest. "We should head ba–"
"What are you two doing here?" The two children jumped in surprised at the sudden person who came to be their aunt Rhaenys, and behind her was her granddaughters and Jacaerys.
"We heard the noises leading here – are alright aunt Rhaenys? Why do you look sad?" Eudora questioned with a frown, but before Rhaenys was able to speak her reason someone called Eudora's name causing the girl to widen at Aemond as if saying 'we got caught.'
"Eudora, come out now from the corner" said her mother Rhaenyra. Eudora hand did not let go of Aemond who too follow behind her. They watched as it wasn't only them, but along with Rhaenys, her granddaughters, and Jacaerys that follow behind. "What are you six doing spying?" questioned the princess.
"We weren't spying princess Rhaenyra as your voices could be heard from our chambers. As you can see in front of you, your loud commotion awoken the children from their slumber. If you were smart enough to close the doors as that is how they work, you wouldn't have us spy as you pursuit" Rhaenys said without filter making Rhaenyra bow her head remembering that the woman was still mourning over death of not only one, but two of her children now. Laenor was found burnt at the Halls of Nine, and the person 'responsible' faced the consequences which was being beheaded and being fed by her dragon.
"We apologize for our insensitivity children, we were just having another... disagreement is all" Alicent elucidated.
"What about this time huh? Whatever it is it could done outside of this castle, don't you understand that my husband and I alongside our mourning for are now two children that had passed! Do any of you have any sort of sympathy within your hearts to understand that!" Rhaenys yelled out causing the children in front to jump at the escalation.
Uncle Laenor is gone? Eudora thought, and again the water works began to shower. Aemond noticed Eudora change of mood having him wrap his arms around again. Alicent watched the two interact, and it truly did comfort her to see that her son found someone that he can confide on. Alicent has seen the two friendship and that was one of the reasons why she persisted on bringing Eudora back to Kings Landing.
"We truly apologize for disrespecting princess, we won't further burden you with our presence. Jacaerys, wake up your brothers telling them we are leaving to Dragonstone now. Eudora, my love pack whatever you need since you will be coming with us." Rhaenyra spoke to her children, afterward quickly giving a glare to Alicent who began to peeve.
"W-What? Eudora is not coming home with us?" Aemond quickly questioned. Eudora too was confuse as no one told her this. "But Kings Landing is her home, that's where she belongs" he affirmed.
"No, where she belongs is with me; I as her mother have that right and Daemon as her step-father agreed that it is within our right that Eudora is to come to Dragonstone with us. I gave my promise to Kalea that I will take Eudora under my wing. Same goes with Daemon who promised Maegor," Rhaenyra counter argued to Aemond, giving him a cold glare in exchange making the boy push himself in front where his body hides Eudora.
"Please" Alicent couldn't help but laugh at the princess absurdity. "Eudora is not of your blood that you have carried for nine months, be realistic here Rhaenyra. As for Kalea, you are right you did promise and you have fulfilled that. Now, Eudora is under our watch as she coming at that age where we must prepare her for suitors who would want to take her hand. We have the resources and the education from the septa's at Kings Landing who will educate her of those matter. And as Queen, it will be my duty to care and cherish Eudora as if she was my own child."
Rhaenyra pulled herself off Daemon grasp as she tried, once again, advance pulling Alicent's hair but again the two ladies were pulled apart where the men did not allow them to spare their hands of such violence. "Enough! I've had of it already" Viserys intervened. "Rhaenyra for once I agree with Alicent on this matter regarding who takes guardianship over Eudora. The princess will be coming with us to Kings Landing where she will be educated and well taken care. And to further apply, it is I that Maegor wanted his daughter to be taken under wing – not Daemon. It was written under his will and I will respect my young brothers wish and will fulfill it, but that doesn't mean you will not see her Rhaenyra. Eudora has the freedom to visit you as she wishes, but that being said she will be coming with us."
"Thank you husband," Alicent spoke finally for once he was on her side, and to be honest it made her alighted. However, it did not come to a surprise when Alicent watch Rhaenyra pulling Eudora away from her son who tried to grab her arm which was snatched away by Rhaenyra.
Everyone watched as Rhaenyra crouch in front of her daughter who was in tears. She brushed a piece of her hair that hid part of her face, and came to meet with those Vermillion eyes she always loved. She peppered her with kisses all across her face, and pushed her into her arms where she could smell and feel her once more. As she pressed the center of her forehead against Eudora, Rhaenyra did not move her eyes away from her as she spoke "Please father, I beg you let me bring Eudora with me. I have never been away from her since her time in Driftmark. I will bring Septa Velma, the one who taught me when I was her age. She has done well of educating me, and I will make sure that she is ready for Lord who challenge for her hand."
Rhaenyra felt her fathers hand rest upon her, making her close her eyes. She didn't want to leave Eudora at the hands of Green, she didn't want her to be corrupted by their ambitious and belief. She is Rhaenyra's daughter, and though she had not carry her in her womb for nine months does not mean she is considered as her own. "Rhaenyra I admire your motherhood for the girl, but I assure you daughter she will be alright. She will be under my wing, in fact I will have one my entrusted knight become hers."
"Ser Arron Petrovy, him" Rhaenyra emphasized.
"Yes, Ser Arron Petrovy. Kalea's most trusted knight, once we land there he will be notify of his switch post to Eudora Targaryen" he promised.
Everyone watched Rhaenyra contemplating, waiting if that was good enough for the princess to let go of her goddaughter.
Eudora placed her hand against her mothers cheek, pressing her final kiss on her head "I will be okay mother, trust in Uncle Viserys as he promise that no harm will come to me. Plus, I think it would be best for us both and I will be able to fly to Dragonstone since its not a far flight there, practically thirty minutes maybe less. I will be fine mother, I assure you."
"Okay, if that is what you want I will come to agreement with that. All I want is the best for you my love, truly. It is a mother's right to be hesitation of being so far away from their own child" Rhaenyra stated having her see Eudora agreeing with her. "But I want you to come at least every 3-4 months, and to stay for a two weeks max; I know I can't have you too long so it will ease my heart knowing what I expect within that timeframe."
"I promise," Eudora smiled.
"Great, now that we come to agreement" Alicent said cutting their moment, "Eudora, my love, pack your belongings as we will be heading back to Kings Landing after we our fast. Aemond please head back to yours chambers and change to a appropriate attire" she said turned to her son who didn't take his eyes off Eudora who has not been let go of Rhaenyra's arms. When Alicent spoke his sons name once more, he took his attention away from the two princesses and back to his mother who gestured with her eyes for him to exit and do what he was told.
Before his departure to his chambers, he looked back at Eudora who then looked at him. Her eyes told him enough, don't worry I will see you. With that, he departed but not before slamming his shoulder against Jacaerys who winced at the harsh compact exchanging his uncle a glare in return who did nothing but smirk with satisfaction.
As everyone began to leave from the room, the only two left was Jacaerys and Daemon who go close to the two girls and including themselves in the hug. Once they finally pulled apart, Daemon and Rhaenyra wrapped their arms at each other wait as they look at Eudora. "So how come I wasn't invited to the wedding?" she pouted making the two Targaryens to laugh at the girl.
"It was very quick, the only that was present was Syrax and Carraxes. It was indeed a fast decision from the both of us, but we thought best of it for our house." Rhaenyra cleared.
"So does that mean I call you father?" Eudora asked looking up at her uncle.
"Did you call Laenor father?" he asked which she answer by shaking her head, "then no – that is if you don't want too. After all, I can never replace your father so it's whatever you feel comfortable my little dragon. Irregardless, I'm happy with either: uncle or father."
"Well I guess we will have to see," she smirked making the rogue prince chuckle at her cheeky reply.
"We best head to our chambers and change. I will see you at supper won't I my love," Rhaenyra spoke caressing Eudora's chin lovingly.
"Why of course mother, it will be the last until I see you at Dragonstone." Rhaenyra only replied with a sad smile as she nodded at her daughter.
Tumblr media
During the duration of morning supper, the blacks and greens were on their designated side. Eudora sat between Rhaenyra and Daemon whereas Jacaerys, Lucerys, and the twins sat across from them. Aemond sat by his mother as it was the only side of the table where he can see Eudora from his eye-line.
Aemond watched the smile plaster on her lips on whatever Daemon whispered in her ear. Rhaenyra didn't leave her hand that rest upon Eudora's as she ate her meal while also making conversation with her sons. If he was to be honest, he wished to be on their side of the table regardless if was around the Strong boys. As long he sat by Eudora, he was sure he would've eaten his meal.
Alicent saw her sons eye not moving from the Targaryen-Velaryon family, and so she nudge him with her elbow making him turn his attention to his mother who mimed to finish what he could. Helaena watch the interaction in silence between the two, and followed where Aemond was looking which was to Eudora who was giggling at Lucerys who tried to be sly of stealing food off his older brothers plate. Helaena peered at the black-white hair girl once more, and moved back at playing with her food. "watch beware, as she will form the heart she holds. Watch beware, as she will form the heart she holds"
"What nonsense comes from you again, mad sister?" Aegon hiccuped, taking another sip from his wine.
"Nothing but the truth" was all she said.
Tumblr media
"Remember to send me letters of anything – I want to know everything" they were outside the gates of the castle. The greens as well as the King board the boat as they let the family say their final goodbye to the princess. Jyrot alongside Vhagar were standby waiting for the riders to fly out back to Kings Landing.
"Yes mother" Eudora nodded, and with a final embrace from her mother she moved to her nephews and cousins, bidding her goodbye to them. "I'll see you in three months, hopefully your swordsmanship advances by the time of my arrival." she winked. The Velaryon boys rolled their eyes at their sister's ego, but agreed they would be waiting for her of that promise.
Lastly, she went up to her uncle Daemon who looks down at his little dragon standing before him. He looked up at his wife and the children, Rhaenyra didn't need him to say a word as she and the rest of the children went back inside the castle. Once they were far from hearing, Daemon knelt down where he was at Eudora height. Eudora watch with curiosity at her uncle who pulled a sword from behind, which was the Black Celestial Sword, her fathers. "My father's sword," she said with awe. "H-How–"
"I've had it somewhere safe where no one was to put their hands on it. Since you will be staying in Kings Landing, I would say it is best I give you his sword to not only protect yourself, but to praise how well you've been progressing on your training. Knowing Maegor, he would be proud and as any proud father he would want you to take it in honor to his name." He pushed the sword to her which she gladly taken with careful hands. Daemon watches the way she twirls the sword with her hands, and continues to be impress how it did not pull her down which showed the strength she muscles.
Eudora admires the sword that touches her skin – she remembers told by her father of the use of this sword. The war memory that imprint on here was historical. She admires the way the sword glows when the sun hits showing its true form of color and sharp definition. "It suits you well," Daemon's voice snapping her out of daze.
"Yes, it does" she said as if she was hypnotized. "But we will train together right? At our spot every week" she quickly add with hope in her Vermillion eyes.
"Always," Daemon promised having her breath out with a relief. "Now you must go, I will see you in three moons my little dragon." The rogue prince lifted himself off the ground as he watch his niece wave him off as she walked to Jyrot.
Aemond who was by their two dragons watch the sword she holds. He sees the fascination in her eyes as she began to wield the sword, he was stunned how flamboyant she was at knowing the skills of the sword. He then thought back of his King-father who told him short stories of Eudora's father and his reputation of being the Targaryens best swordsmen, and though Aemond only met his uncle once he can somehow see her father in her. Also remembering she telling him her secret of training over night with their uncle.
"Where did you get that?" He asked while extending his hand to touch the steel sword, but wince when Eudora smack his hand off from touching it, "What I can't touch it now?"
"Uncle Daemon gifted it to me as a praise for improving on my training. This sword was my fathers, so no I don't want you touching it – I don't want you dirty callouses to smear it" she teased by sticking her tongue out, which Aemond return as well.
"I guess wooden swords are now out of your level of training," he noted. "Good for you Eudora, maybe one day you and I can duel; the winner will have to order the loser whatever they desire."
"I look forward to that" she smirked. "But since we are still in training and know little of the art, I wager something better; whoever lands in Kings Landing first will have the other do their work for a week" giving herself a head start, she pushed Aemond as she ran to Jyrot who helped her mount the saddle. Aemond picked himself off the ground and ran up the ladder to mount Vhagar.
"That's not fair!" he yelled out knowing she was going to win base off how gigantic Jyrot was compare to Vhagar.
"I'll see you on the other side" she yelled out from where she flew. Aemond could hear her faint giggles making the joy in his heart to burst. This is what he wished for, and he was glad that it was granted. If his father allowed Eudora to stay in Dragonstone instead of Kings Landing, he swore on the old and new Gods he would've been so depressed and would've hold such resentment towards Rhaenyra for having her way once again. Nevertheless, Aemond was looking hopeful of the path between him and Eudora and would make sure she enjoy every part of it.
Oh how unfortunate that some things are not meant to go in his order.

CHAPTER SIX (TQOHH)
Tumblr media
Aemond Targaryen x Targaryen OC
Description: Her warmth and love caress his soul making him hum with bliss. Having her presence near makes all of the dark thoughts perish, as she was the flowers that grew in the darkest part of him. She is the keeper of his soul. Holder of his heart. Without her, he is nothing.
The Queen of His Heart Series
***************************************************************************
Chaos erupted the entire Kingdom.
Commanded by the King, the City Watch were order to scavenge the entire region in search of the Princess. Nine hours has passed by and the search for Eudora Targaryen continued leaving  House Targaryen in complete distress. The sun began rising from its slumber where its bright light greeted the region. The sun illuminated through the castle windows, and the warmth of its kiss planted on the dark circles of the family.
King Viserys eyes never adverted away from the doors, and he stood sitting on his throne never moving. When the King was informed of his niece missing, it was as if someone had a strong hold of his wind pipe preventing him to breath. His heart plummeted to his stomach, his hands began to be clammy and all that swirled in his mind was if she was still alive. He was so delve into his thoughts that the shouting of his second son and his Queen wife was reduced – the King had put a wall between himself and his family where he cannot hear a word that was being said. All the King could ponder was how he failed his little brother as well as his daughter. The promise he gave to them both now broken, and began to accept the blame of not protecting his little niece like he said he would.
The thought of possibly seeing his niece coming back home in the arms of a guard, dead, was pictured in his mind that it made the King cry where he sat. The quiet cry of the King caught both Alicent and Aemond's ears, and their attention span to the man who was scrunch over the edge of the bed, hands covering his rotting face. Alicent who moved her way to her husband, wrapped her arms around his shoulders to comfort him even though it was she who needed all the comforting. The worry of the princess not being yet found, her son screaming her ear off, and now her husband was stressing the Queen to the point where she was now on edge – that anything that is to be said will have her snap at an instant.
Aemond watched his mother holding his father, listening how soft her voice was speaking to him that it made him think of Eudora of how she was to him. The soft-spoken tone that sound like smooth velvet, and an embrace that felt as a shield was what he needed at that moment.  The sight of his parents was change to him and her, his brain creating an illusion where he pictures them holding one another.
That could've been them nine hours ago.
When Aemond finally expressed his feelings to his mother about Eudora, of how the past four years she has become the person who captured his heart, he begged for her support of convincing his father to agree for him to take Eudora's hand in marriage. He expressed wholeheartedly how she was the one. She is the person who was there for him since day one, she is only person who could read him like an open book, she is the person who knows the waves of his emotions where besides distancing herself away, she moves closer and consider his way of expression as symbol of who he is.
She is the person who captured his heart.
She is the love of his life and without her, without the holder of his heart Aemond Targaryen is completely and utterly inhumane.
When Alicent saw the compassion radiated off her sons eye, she broke. She couldn't say no to the only child she could put up with; never has Aemond been the spoil type nor a headache like Aegon. Aemond has been nothing but a calm and understanding child – never the one to cause trouble nor ask for anything until now. With a sigh, Alicent accepted her son's proposal and gave her word that she will try convincing his father how well of an idea it to be for the two to marry as their forge blood will continue the Targaryen dynasty.
It's unfortunate how he wasn't there to tell her the good news. He bet that the two of them would've been happy cuddling in her chambers already discussing their future. He could already imagine Eudora body between his leg where she rest her head against his chest, while he look down running his fingers through her silk hair as he would listen to her. That could've happened, but it didn't.
When Aemond entered her chambers his eye search for her, but when he didn't see her anywhere in sight did he finally take notice  of the disheveled bed, cups on the floor, and an open window that look upon the garden; the first thing that came to mind was that she was kidnapped.
Never did it cross his mind that she left without telling anyone, especially him since it is unlike Eudora. Aemond was confident that she will never leave him – never abandon alone in this (now) depressing palace. If Eudora had plans to run away she would've told him, and he wouldn't hesitate on going with her.
Aemond shouting was what woke the family who came out of their chambers still deprived with sleep. When they saw the panic in Aemond's and the desperation admitting from his voice, it was like a bucket of ice water woke them up when it registered in their minds that the princess has been taken.
Aemond didn't wait for his mother to call the Master of Law and Lord Commander, rather he sprinted his way out where he met with Vhagar and mounted her to fly. The Queen Dragon felt what her rider was going through that besides taking her time lifting herself off, the dragon rose quick and flew. Aemond was met with Aegon who flew beside him, and the two convulse a plan where one went west and the other east. For the first time in ever, the two brothers ally with one another as they presented the same goal and that was to find their dear cousin, the anchor and peacemaker of House Targaryen.
They've been up in the air for hours that during the remainds, not a trace of her was found as if she vanished in thin air. Aegon who for once took the role of big brother convinced his little brother that they both fly back to Kings Landing where they might hear news of their cousin. Aemond did not listen and order his brother to go back if he wanted, that he wasn't going to stop until she was in his arms where he promised was the only place where she felt safe. Aegon who was oblivious of his brothers feelings for his cousin, commanded him to return with him by noting how Vhagar may be the biggest dragon, but due to her age she can't be flying all night. With that, the two Targaryen sons went back to the castle where everyone resided in the throne room, and since then that's where they continue to stand until the doors open with news.
Since the past hours, no one has spoken a word to another as they were all in their own corners. Aemond stood the close by the doors so when the doors open revealing herself, he would be the one she would see at first sight. While the prince stick to his placement, his mind was swirling with searches of where she could be. But then a thought came to mind peaking him to realization: Where was Jyrot?  How come he hasn't appeared with his rider on his back?
The bond between Jyrot and Eudora is like no other dragon and rider. They are telepathically connected that with one word Jyrot will be at her feet. If she was to have another episode he will immediately come to her aid without her calling out to him, he feels what she feels. Two souls molded into one; that is how strong their bond is and Aemond now began to question everything making his theory to change.
What if she wasn't kidnapped? What if she left with telling anyone a word? He thought, but he shook that away. That didn't make sense – it is unlikely in fact because she wouldn't abandon him, Eudora will never leave him alone; those were the words of influence he convinced himself to believe.
"I best to send a raven to Rhaenyra," Viserys spoke for the first time since. "She would want to know the whereabouts of her goddaughter, maybe Eudora could be at Dragonst–" before he was able to finish, the doors open causing everyone to snap their heads with hope in their eyes that it could be Eudora, instead they were all met with the fury eyes of Rhaenyra Targaryen and behind her with the same expression was her husband, Daemon Targaryen. "Rhaenyra, daughter I was abou–"
"Where is Eudora, where is my daughter! You all knew she has been missing for who knows how long, and none of you gain the thought of sending me a letter she had been gone since last night. I had to retrieve news from an anonymous informing me that Eudora has not yet been found!–" Daemon who tried to ease his pregnant wife, but Rhaenyra slapped him away as she didn't want to be touched. The heiress was in complete anguish that in addition to her woe, before she arrived to Kings Landing she left Dragonstone without answering her sons worries of what'd happen. The only thing that cross her mind was to search for Eudora, and so her and Daemon flew across half of Westeros in search for her, but similarly to the family that reside in the capital they found nothing – not a clue nor trail.
"We apologize for our incentives princess, but like yourself our minds were warp solely on the princess disappearance," Alicent reasoned tiredly which had Rhaenyra look at her former friend that held mixture of distress and tiredness all over her face, the bags under her eyes presents it visibly as well. "You did not come to our mind, but you are hear now and whoever this anonymous is they must come front to express how they knew Eudora missing. They could give us an idea where to go from–"
"You're telling us that after hours of her disappearance, none of you found anything? Niche?" Daemon questioned and when he saw that none said a word confirmed everything. "The anonymous is loyal commoner that we trust, it was them who heard the chaos that erupted throughout the Kingdom and it was them who told us of Eudora disappearance. What has me spiraled is that the region that rules the Seven Kingdoms who has the utmost military in all of Westeros had not found a single fucking clue where the princess could be. What has happened to the organization of our system? Have the Hightower's truly corrupted everything that our blood had work their fucking ass off?–"
"Daemon please, don't start – not at the time like this?" Viserys tiredly sighed at his brother outburst that cause the anger to simmer between the Hightower-Targaryen family.
"What? Tis not the truth brother?" the rogue prince coughed out a chuckle of disbelief, if only Eudora was to stay with them none of this would've happened, he believed.
"I should've taken Eudora when I had the chance," Rhaenyra gritted. "But no instead I allowed you to take her and I trusted your word – all of you!" she shouted, eyes scheming to the entire family. "Now my daughter is out there alone and possibly harmed. I, as heir of the throne, took the step of sending ravens all of Westeros to report if they had sighted her, and most reports proved useless, and none gave the desired results. We must discuss with the master of coins where he missions of finding Eudora" she said, directing her conclusion to her father who was processing the part where she mentioned that the princess was no where in Westeros. Viserys wasn't the only person stood shock, Aemond was in the same state at his father. He swore he could hear his heart cracking and a part of him is slowly depleting.
"Not a single Lord caught sight of my betrothed?" Aemond mumbled quietly, or so he thought.
Daemon felt like he had whiplash for a moment as he scrutinize Aemond with fanciful stare. "Y-your what? I'm sorry did my ears stop working or did I just hear this one-eye impure boy say his betrothed, hence that he and my niece are betrothed?" Daemond laughed out loud causing everyone in the throne room to look at Aemond with confusion, all but his mother who blinked slowly as she came to realize how unknown her son began to appear.
"We were going to tell you father–" Aemond look at his King father who himself as well was confuse of the affirmation that his brother echoed from his son. Before Aemond was to allow himself to explain, he was cut off again by his annoying uncle who laughed even louder but there was no humor hinted, more of hinge mockery.
"You and the realm jewel together? That is absurd–"
"You better watch what your next words Daemon, you're talking to the King's second son" Alicent warned, stepping herself close to her Aemond's side.
"And that's what he will always be little Queen," he jibed "The second son, what could this boy give to my niece who deserve nothing, but the finest. The daughter of Maegor the Mighty  who holds the biggest dragon in the world and could end being the most advance swordsman. What could Aemond the one-eye prince give to her beside his cock." Daemon remarked facetiously.
"Daemon that is enough!" Viserys stood from his throne, cane beating on the ground twice to make his authority known. "I have enough of this back-forth argument that leads us nowhere. We must focus on the main problem and that is to follow through what Rhaenyra had suggested, we will conjure a meeting with the Master of Coin where we send our best men to travel to Essos to find the princess. Otto, announce this to the council where I and my daughter await for their presence; everyone else is dismiss." As the King descended down the steps of his throne, both of the second sons stared each other with pure hatred. Aemond masked his distaste to his uncle, not allowing his words to burn him easily.
"Husband I believe it would in good intentions for Aemond and I to be apart of the mission–"
"Not now Aemma," Viserys waved off causing everyone to pause. Alicent halted at her steps looking at her husband with glistening discomfort.
"Father I think you mean to say Alicent, as that is the name of your wife now" Rhaenyra hesitantly stepped forward causing the King to dawn with realization. He stutter the next words he was going to say, but said nothing as he close his mouth shut only giving a hum. He didn't look at his wife who looked at him with heartbreak, instead he continue to make his way to the door passing Aemond who glare at his father. It became nostalgic for the young prince as if he felt he was back in Driftmark where his father, yet again, did not entirely defend him.
As the family began to make their way out, the two people left were Daemon and Aemond. Daemon went up to his nephew making him look down at his uncle. The two height difference only two feet apart, nevertheless the humor Aemond felt how it was now he looking down upon his uncle was amusing to him. Aemond watched the way Daemon analyzing him from his feet all the way back to his eyes, a smirk morphing on the rogue prince lips as he made a tsk sound. "Everything I've said is the mere truth nephew. The betrothal between you and Eudora would never happen, not when Rhaenyra is in the girls life. Once she is found best believe Eudora would be coming back with us to Dragonstone where she is to be the future Queen's ward. From there it would be her to choose the Lord who is fitted to take her hand."
"I won't allow you to take her from me. If Eudora was here she would tell you herself the truth of us. She is mine as much as I am hers, if you separate us both she will be against you" Aemond stated.
"'Us," how frivolous" he chuckled. "There will be none of that little prince, her feelings for you will pass I will make sure of it. In fact, we were to announce this to my King-brother who I guarantee would've approve of this proposition which is to have Cregan Stark take Eudora as his betrothed." Aemond neutral mask was peeled off and was now switch with fury. Daemon saw the slip making him vibrate with satisfaction. What Daemon said wasn't a lie, but in fact the truth. Rhaenyra and Daemon came to see that though Cregan and Eudora were cousins, the two match each other quite well making them the perfect palette. Similar to the Targaryens, the Stark all have incestuous relationships in their family tree.
That was one of Aemond's fear: his Eudora being wedded to her cousin who had an inheritance unlike himself. House Stark of Winterfell is one of the Great Houses of Westeros and the principal noble house of the north. Their seat, Winterfell , is an ancient castle renowned for its strength and they are one of House Targaryens favored allegiance, that it made sense for the two houses to continue have a very close relationship.
However, a dragon and wolf stump one another – their compatibility at very low percentage range according to Aemond. Eudora holds the biggest dragon in the world and has fiery heart, her being place in the north where her flame can die is something that will never happen. Both dragons who emit the same fire are the ones meant for each other, and if Aemond had to fight his uncle and his half-sister to show them they are the fitted pair, that is what he would do. Besides, he knew Eudora will choose him without question.
"Then I would make sure that will never come to fruition, uncle" Aemond said keeping his stare at Daemon. Aemond began walking away, not before slamming his shoulder against his uncle who chuckled darkly at the nerve his nephew. Daemon watch his body disappear as he took a corner, and came too thought how much he saw younger him in Aemond that it became unfathomable.

Aemond was back at his apartment wing about to head to his chambers, however he stood at a stop when it came over him that being in his room would only depress him further so instead he walk to her chambers that wasn't to far away from his own. Once coming to face with the familiar doors where there no longer stood Arron Petrovy, now former knight of Eudora's who was executed for failing his duties of protecting the princess. Aemond wished it was he to take that action, and he could've finished it off when he was holding onto the knights throat as he shouted at him for failing the princess.
Aemond shook away that time of moment seeing how it didn't make him feel any better. Tonight, Aemond decided he would sleep in her chambers where the aroma of perfume was still aired in her room. He knew being there would keep his mind sane, and would probably help activate for him to continue looking for her on the morrow.
When he entered her room, the tension were let off his shoulders – his body coming to a complete rest as it was familiarize with her energy that still stick on the walls of her room. Aemond look at her bed that was now freshly made making him want to frustratedly scream at the servants maids. The pillows that she once rested her head upon no longer hold the smell of her honey vanilla comb hair, nor the blankets which he planned to tightly wrap himself around so he can believe that she was holding him.
Aemond look over her vanity table to see the gown he remembered she wore last night was effortlessly displayed on her seat. A relief was shown over his face and he went up to the clothing where he picked off from the chair and pressing it up his nose. He leaned further close to the clothing that a note slipped from the pockets of it catching his attention when he felt brush pants.
Curious, Aemond picked up the parchment and began to unravel the folded paper, and in writing he saw it was from her. It was Eudora's handwriting and on the top in neat cursive was his name she wrote which he gently glide with his fingers.
My dear Aemond,
By the time you read this letter I'm far away from home. I can't explain everything on this one piece of parchment since I have limited time. I just want to tell you my love that I have not abandon you, nor would I ever. I will come back to you, that is my promise to you and you know I always keep my word as that is a fatal flaw of mine. Unfortunately I cannot tell you where I am going, I kept a promise to someone very dear to me that I wouldn't. It was them who woke me from my slumber where I must do as it is my birth right and destiny to forge what must be reveal to me to further understand. You mustn't tell anyone that you found this letter, keep it to yourself.
My Aemond, I don't know how long would I be away but just know that I am always with you. You the other half of my soul and without you by my side I am incomplete, but I am driven to get back to you. Whenever you come to a circumstance where I am not there to console you my love, read the letters I've sent you when I was spending my weeks in Dragonstone.
My Aemond, my handsome strong knight, my heart.
Yours Truly,
ET
"My heart," he whispered. A tear rolling off from his eye as he wince at the squeeze of his heart. "You have no idea that you as well have taken a part of me with you. Eudora, I am inhumane without my half."

The Queen of His Heart Series
Word count: 6592
italic - flashback
Winter collapsed into Spring, a season that symbolizes new beginnings that awaits to be strived. It is the time where the flowers are nourished and the sun above grants them the approval to blossom to present their beauty. The pure season was the Targaryen princess favorite out of the three seasons. The night wind begins to feel moist with the smell of turned loam and the early flowers. The moon pouring out its beauty for those to stop and admire, and allow the lick of the moons energy spur onto them beginning to feel light and safe.
She would spend most of her time out in the garden where she gets to capture the perfume of the flowers. She would sit under the looming tree that dance with the wind, and at times goosebumps will travel throughout her arm when it shyly looms over her; it made her soul smile.
The admiration she holds for such season was ethereal sight to admire from where the prince was standing. He loved how adorning she was for just being. The way the radiant grass surrounded he made her be unreal. She radiated colorful hues that it was too hard to look away, so drinking her appearance till he was full will satisfy his heart, but like always he can never get enough as she was so addicting that she became his drug.
The past four years, Aemond has watched Eudora transform into the greatest version of herself. He watched her behind the shadows – watched the care of her heart that she gives to those that needed a reminder that they were still people like her. He watched the smile she gifts to them and the help she grants without cost. He watched her leave her chambers at late hour to sneak into the Maestors hall to steal medicine, and then she would head down to town where she awaits by a door for someone to open.
There, he saw an older woman who would usher her in and would look out to make sure no one was around. There he found a roof that gave him window access to what the princess transpires, and he spied with his one good eye how she nursed a little boy to good health. There he watched the woman giving her a crying hug when she saw how her son was getting better. He watched how she will look take off her disguise and saw how unafraid she was to show who she was. He thought, at first, how daft she was to do that as she could've lost her life from there, but over time the more she went out and continue to uncover her identity made him see that everyone did not once snitch of the princess; instead, they protected her.
Aemond had pride in his heart knowing he was with someone with heart of gold. Aemond had pride in his heart knowing that someone with a heart of gold, also had a heart of a warrior.
Through the four years that'd past, he has watch her skills advanced. The way she dances with the sword, the way her eyes sharpen and her senses heighten showed how hard she trained in hiding. When Eudora was ten and four and Aemond ten and six, he once asked her "why do you train till the sun rise?"
"why do you train when the sun is full horizon?" she countered questioned.
"Because it is my duty of course. When the time comes where war knocks at our gates, it is my duty to fight for my house, my realm, my family."
"You have answered your questioned then" she said not giving any further explanation which Aemond found unreasonable seeing how the two shared everything together, except for this reason. Till this day, he still wonders and he still questions her and in return, she gives him another dead end. Though she does not offer her reason, she does offer him her wisdom.
The moon light greeted them when they enter the training yard. Aemond was behind her – observing the way her fingers touch each weaponry. He watched her picking one weapon, twirling it around and touch the edge where it was the sharpest, and put them back down. He watch her do that for every weapon, and when she was done she turned to look at him over her shoulder. She extends her hands out which he takes without hesitation.
When he was by her side, their hands never once let go as she spoke, "my father once told me that a sword is given to one who's bravery stoke the spirits. Its blade rivals crystal clear water, and like fire, calcines in each cut – because of its brightness, it appears crowned with pearl. By what I translated from him and what I have learn throughout my training is that a warrior must know the purposeful difference of each weapon. The shield is defense. The spear a battle trench. The sword is a guardian. The dagger is an ambush; knowing these ranking give you a good outlook what will help guide you what will beat your opponent.
But what every solider does not keep in mind is the bondage that must forge between them and their sword – with any other weapon in fact. A soldier and their sword is one, it is a sigil of unity and when you have acknowledge that you will become unstoppable."
"Why are you telling me this," he questioned her – eye still on her as he has never focus on the weapon she has not taken her eyes off, until she finally strip her eyes away and turn to him.
Violet meet Vermillion.
"I've seen you train with Ser Criston, and you train very hard. He rewards with words that you have potential, that you're getting better, and he's not wrong. You are becoming well with the sword, but his teaching lacks valuation. I observed you from behind – when you swing you swing with hate, not swiftness. Hatred has bared you in shackles my Aemond, it has blinded you from what is in front of you."
"Hatred is what got me becoming the best swordsmen Westeros has ever laid eyes on," he argued. She could see it in eyes again, the anger. But deep within she sees a boy whose afraid and needs a hand to hold. A boy who hides as he is to afraid to reopen what has been neglected.
"But it is also a form that will have you dead," she sniped. "What will happen when that anger consumes you Aemond, what then?" She pushed herself closer where now their chest touched, making Aemond breath to hitch feeling how close she was and to feel that familiar feeling of her warmth radiate off to him. "I tell you this for your own good because I care for you" she gently lay her hands on the side of his cheek making him lean down against them. "I am not trying to lower your self-esteem – that will never be my intention my love. This is my wisdom I gift to you: connect with the weaponry art you handle, mend with the past that brought the invasive vines. When you do that you will be unstoppable, you will see the truth." she promised.
She knew she can't change Aemond, no one can change the boy who is man becoming. What happened four years at Driftmark traumatized him, and it is what brought him to who he was now. Nevertheless, she will still stand by him and watch him transform on his own accord. That is the reason why Aemond can not help but love her. His Eudora, the keeper of his soul, holder of his heart – without her he will be lost.
Aemond, the one-eye prince has become a very quiet and angry child. Eudora, the realm jewel has become a wise and the anchor child of the family. They are two opposites that attract to each other.
Black and White.
Violet and Vermillion.
He snapped himself out of his thoughts, and focused back his attention on her. Aemond looked back down at the bouquet of Irises he held, making sure they were the ones she favored. Black Irises, her favorites.
This became a traditional exchange every time Eudora comes back from Dragonstone. She had spent a moon there having the joy of spending time with her family, whilst Aemond dreaded that whole entire month as he awaited for her to return. That was the longest she has gone away from Kings Landing, usually her travel is two weeks – no more longer than that.
When Aemond received news of her arrival, he put down everything that he was doing and ran toward the window where view the red keep, and from a distant he saw Jyrot's big figure concluding the prince that his princess had arrived and was sure she was making her way to the gardens, and he was right as he stood not far from where she laid.
As Aemond began to make his way his footsteps that pressed against the pebbles perk her ears up; her eyes abandoning the book that was laying across her lap. When she met eye contact with the one-eye prince, a smile immediately began to spread on her lips. "My Aemond."
My Aemond, oh how he treasure that name that glides from her tongue so smoothly. It made his heart hammer and when she brought herself close to now he felt her chest pressed against his own, he was afraid with how close she was she might've hear how his heart raced for her. She looked at the Irises that he held with both hands knowing it was a welcome gift for her, as she was finally home where she belonged. "My Eudora welcome home" was he said and smirked when he saw the blush blossoming her cheek. "I gift your favorite, black irises. I had made sure the gardeners to plant them from the direction of your chambers, so when you wake up on the morrow they will be the first sight you'll see from your window."
The princess was absolutely touched by Aemond's munificence, and gladly took the flower from his hand. "Aemond how considerate of you to do that; you know you didn't have to extend ways to do that for me," she said shyly as she took the flowers from his hands. "But like always, I thank you."
"For you... anything my love" he placed his hand on her cheek, and his thumb caress her soft features. "I have you missed you" he confessed, "a moon without you made the castle felt so empty, felt so dark without your light."
"And I am now here" she reminded "do not fret my princeling as I assure you I will not abandon you. I can see from the bags under your eyes that you lack sleep. Oh my Aemond do you wish that I continue to remind you the importance of taking care of yourself" she tsked.
"I guess I need to be kept reminded," he smiled making Eudora roll her eyes at the boy, however, deep down Eudora does sometime grow concern for Aemond. Being by his side made her see how much he overworks himself, and she is always the one to remind him to take afternoon naps for his body to reset from the hours of training that consisted  of attentiveness and agility. Sometimes, she would wait outside his chambers when he was finished bathing and would get the queue that she was able to come inside. When she did, she would walk up to him and began to brush his hair while humming a lullaby. The two will then move to the bed where Aemond will have his head laid on her lap as she continue to comb her fingers through his hair to ease the tension that would flex. Oh how Aemond had miss her care that he had to depend on tea that the Maester brew to relax his body.
"Well then you can rest your head on my lap as we bath under the sun. I think this will calm your senses and blanket you to sleep. I read that the earth's perfume is quite grounding for the body.   I will comb through your hair while I tell you of my time spent in Dragonstone, I'm sure the topic of our nephews will drowse you to sleep" she joked making the prince to chuckle at that.
"Or we could head to my chambers where it just the two of us, or yours  either will work" he began to step closer having her to move back further, but stopped when her back was pressed against the bark. "I would rather us have the privacy in order for I to share how I've truly missed you. I want to feel your lips against mine again."
"Can you make your voice any louder my prince? I'm sure the ears of others will be delighted to hear your intentions and gossip" she hissed.
"And I'll let them" he challenged, "as it will be easier on my part to have all of Westeros know who holds your heart, and who holds mine."
Ah yes, another thing that began to blossom over the years, the secret relationship between Eudora and Aemond Targaryen. In a week, it will mark two years since they've been in a relationship and two moons till Eudora name day where Aemond would go up to his King father and Queen mother to ask for her hand. Of course over the time of them being intimate in the dark, never did Aemond take the girls virtue, but there wasn't a time where he did thought about it.
It started when Eudora was in the library alone, until Aegon made himself present making it now the both of them. What the two didn't know was that Aemond was also present as he was hiding behind the shelves where he saw how his brother tried to advance himself onto Eudora. The thought of another man, especially his brother, thinking that they had the privilege of placing their grimy hands against her delicate skin made him mad. Aemond over the years has grown quite cold since that time his nephews took his eye. But with the intense training and education, Aemond body and mind grew strong making him evaluate that he was the only one to be worthy of her, which is when he began to be possessive over Eudora.
When Eudora try talking to Aegon of keeping his distance and how inappropriate his intentions were, did Aemond came around the corner making his presence known. Aegon the eldest no longer had the upper hand as he grew quite intimidated of his little brother, especially the way Aemond towers Aegon height made him seem the eldest. When Aegon understood the message, did he left the library leaving only the two left.
Aemond checked to see if she was not in no ways harm, and kept asking her multiples questions that were left unanswered. He eventually stopped when he felt her hands rest against his cheek. The two looked at one another, and sense of calmness cascade through his body when he saw the peace into her eyes. "My Aemond" that name, oh how he loved the way she said. "Always my knight to rescue me from danger, how could I ever repay you?"
With a kiss, he thought or so he thought he did.
"With a kiss? I see... then I a kiss I grant you" and so she granted placing her plump lips against his own making him instinctively grasp her waist pulling her closer. Her hands that rested around his neck began to travel their way to underneath his hair, pulling it making him groan into the kiss.
Eudora was the one to pull away and she smirk when Aemond tried to press his lips onto hers again, but she jerked her head back preventing that to happen. Aemond eyes flutter open, his violet eyes meeting her vermillion ones. "Did that satisfy you my prince?"
"More than you know," he dipped his head making his nose brush hers. Eudora could see the questions beginning to pile in his head, and he wanted to ask her if she felt the same; she just waited for him to ask and where she can say yes.
Eudora has been having romantic feelings for her Aemond, ever since she was ten and two. Unlike Aemond, she knew how to bay her feelings for him, but there would be times where she will make it known in the most littlest ways; it astounded her though of how blind Aemond was as satirical that metaphorically sounds.
Aemond for her, was everything that she wanted.
Eudora for him, was everything he wanted.
When Aemond finally grew the guts to say the words, and hearing her being on the same page made his heart brighten with glee making it travel throughout his body. Eudora smiled at the boy smile that he gifted her. "You don't understand the relief that is soaring from my heart, my love" he said out of breath. "I have waited since I was ten and three to tell you how I truly felt, and hearing that you too feel the same; that your heart yearns to connect with mine, it has me make sure that no lords take your hand."
"And no lord will take it because I belong too you, as you belong to me. Till death do we part my Aemond," she assured, caressing his missing eye that is hidden behind the patch.
"Till death do we part..." I'll make sure death does not take you away.

News of the princess arrival travel it's way to Aegon who was making his way to the kitchen to get another bottle of wine. However, he came to a stop when he heard his mother calling out for him. Alicent with Haleana behind made her way to her son, and base off the look on her face made him dread that he was still sober knowing what will lead from this conversation.
Without another word coming from the Queen, she took her sons arm pulling him to wherever she was going. He looked behind to his sister who hands was intertwined in front of her, her head bowing down as he could see she was in some sort of trance. He roll his eyes at the thought of marrying her, and his stomach turn knowing he was going to have too... consummate with her.
Aegon does not hate his sister, he just doesn't want to do anything with her. She was the odd siblings and he didn't want to have kids with her believing that his children might be like their mother, making it even more of a headache to hear another voice speaking mad nonsense.
Aegon was hoping to be married off to rather Eudora, the realms jewel. Ever since they were children Aegon did not hide his infatuation toward her, in fact at every chance that he had he will try to steal a kiss; he always wonder how they would feel against his own. They seem so soft and fluffy, that he swore he may moan. Aside of that, Eudora is a woman that has ever man to be transfixed. It is a rarity to find beauty of someone inside and out, and seeing the care she gives to others, and surprisingly sometimes Aegon – made him want her even more.
He would find servant maids that had dark hair, and would blindfold them to help his delusional mind to think it was her he was fucking, and will easily moan out her name through his lips. The servants of course did not know how to close their mouths, as the gossip began to travel all the way to the Queens ear.
When Alicent figured out her sons transgression she never felt such vicarious embarrassment. She didn't hesitate to smack harder sense into Aegon. She seethe at her son repugnancy and began to make it known that if his father heard of this atrociousness, he would have his head irregardless if he was his son. He would strip him of his title giving it the more reason the council to not take Aegon seriously. Especially, if word went to Dragonstone of her son lascivious Alicent would be afraid that the rogue prince will not hesitate to take his head, and even more afraid that her dear husband wouldn't do nothing about it.
From there on, Alicent made it known that Aegon was no son of hers, but just a pawn that has she saved on the chess board where to can finally yell out 'check mate'.
As Alicent and her children enter her chambers, the two sat themselves down but sure they were at a distance. Alicent who was still standing looked at her children facial expression that read misery. She paused for a moment to gather herself, and eventually let out a breath to announce what she was going say, "I have you two here today because we need to plan your ceremony that will be taking place in three weeks. Since the announcing the two of you being betrothed, I and your grandsire could see that either never made the effort to spend quality time as a... couple. For the sake of reassuring the council, you two must present yourself as a strong couple who will one day rule the seven kingdom."
"I thought the quality time spent as children was enough bonding," Aegon said.
"Aegon please..." stress began to consume the Queen and the beginning of a headache. "Heedless of your credence, you and Haleana are to marry to strengthen claim to the Iron Throne."
"Then why not wed me to Eudora, she is of Targaryen blood what's the difference within that?" Aegon thought this to be sense. If he were to marry Eudora his claim will be strengthen due to their family be in the highest position of power, with Aegon and Eudora heirs also being full-blooded Targaryens making them legitimate. "Not only that, but she is the daughter of Maegor The Mighty making him known to be the most admirable of our family history. Me being married to Eudora will evidence that our future children will take those traits making us even more powerful and over trump Rhaenyra bastards children. None other than that, everyone is practically in love with her because she hold the perfect trait as Queen; think about it mother–" Aegon stands up as he made his way to his mother who eyes never waver from her son. He took both of her hands, gripping them to signal his emphasis. "Eudora and I will be pictured the perfect sovereigns. Marry me to Eudora and I will complain no longer. Marry me to her and I will change, please."
Before she was able to speak her thoughts, a voice interrupts ruining Aegon chance "I applaud of your ambition grandson, but that will not be allowed unfortunately," coming out from the shadows was the Hand, his grandsire and behind him was his brother who walked behind him.
"I'm glad that my grandson over here–" Otto paused as he turn to Aemond who kept staring at Aegon who was fuming from within. "–who spoke of this meeting that I was not inform about" he then looked at his Queen daughter who had her head bow, not wanting to meet the eyes of her father.
"I was just reminding them of the wedding that's not to far father."
"Yet by the look in your eyes I could see you were considering your eldest sons ideation. Nevertheless, the answer is no. Eudora is off limits according to the King, I apologize my grandchild but your father will deny your proposal – in fact he will not allow it. Trust me when I say that I have consider the notion to the King, but he has no intention of her being married as of now. According to his words, he would rather prefer her choose someone than being forced; similar to what he had done for Rhaenyra."
"Then I have time to sway her to like me, and if I can do that she will want to marry me. Her words hold power over the King, he will not deny her if he sees the love in her eyes" Aegon prevail. "Her name-day is what? two moons from now? That gives me enough time–"
"She will not even look your way brother" Aemond butted in. "and if you knew her well enough, you would've known that she has no intention in marrying at all as she has dreams to travel. So I am apologize to break it to you, but taking the princess hand is a lost cause."
"Then I will change her mind," Aemond eye began to twitch as he could see how sedulous his brother is becoming. Aemond wanted to laugh at his brother thinking he had a chance of scooping Eudora into his arms, when already she was in his and he has no intention of loosing his grasp. "And if her heart does not beat for me then I will just... bed her" and that is where he overstep the line.
"You dare!" Aemond spoke, but was cut off by his mother who grabbed the collar of Aegon shirt making him come eye-to-eye at the fire spitting off.
"Do you truly want to be put on your death bed Aegon? I'm being serious – are you out of your goddamn mind, dear sevens you will be dead once the guards will hear her screams. Viserys alongside Rhaenyra will burn you alive by the time you even have the chance to flee! In result, you as my son will have us ruined!" Alicent pushed him off of her as she wiped her hand harshly on her dress. "And I for one will not have you even touch Eudora, that girl has done nothing wrong but care for not only your brothers, but Haleana as well." Alicent couldn't believe the person in front of her was her son, and it made her think what she did wrong that made him turn out this way. "You will marry Haleana end of discussion." With that the Queen along with the Hand left the room as they had further themes to discuss.
Now it was the only the three Hightower-Targaryens left in their mothers room, none moving. Haleana began to pick at her skin causing her to bleed, eyes closing as she tried to soothe the voices that were beginning to grow louder and louder. Unfortunately, none of her brother noticed as they still stared at one another.
Aemond took a couple steps forward, now closer face-to-face toward his brother. "You will steer clear of Eudora, and if I hear that you place a single hand on her eyes regardless if it was friendly... I will take you by the neck and have you be Vhagar's meal."
"You wouldn't do that" Aegon cackled "or else you will be known not as the one-eye prince, but Aemond the Kinslayer; would you corrupt your image to that little brother?"
Aemond hummed processing the name, has a nice tune to it. "For her I will wear the name proudly – with honor" Aegon look into the depth of eye to see he was bluffing, he saw none. Usually Aegon would back away, but the anger rising inside him did not falter.
"You think you have a chance with Eudora brother" Aegon questioned with amusement. "You think the realm jewel will ever consider you? The second son, fourth child of King Viserys? Eudora is a gem and you... you are crippled." he laughed. "No amount of training will ever hide that because that right there" he pointed at the patch "is a reminder that you are nothing but worthy of her. You really think the kindness of her heat is genuine, are you sure it's not pity that she has for you? Like mother?" Before Aegon could further deepen the knife, Aemond grabbed him by the neck.
"You know know nothing of her heart" he seethed. "And you will never know because you as well brother are not worthy to have her, and to think you had the window of opportunity because you're the first son is satirical. You are a drunkard, disappointing prince and that is what you will always be."
Tumblr media
Aemond marched his way to Eudora's chamber where he knew she was taking her afternoon nap or reading the book of herbal medicine she stole from the Maesters. When he turned the corner he saw Eudora's knight guarding the door, Ser Arron Petrovy. When the knight saw the one-eye prince and the urgency into his walk he didn't question him nor stop him from entering into her chambers unannounced.
Eudora pull herself away from the book, standing Aemond correct of his assumption. Eudora looked over his body language and immediately know that something, or rather someone had bothered to the core that he was irregular breathing.
She placed her book down by the table next to her, and made her way to the one-eye prince who's hands come to rest on her elbows pulling her in close where he could feel her breast plush against his chest. He wrapped his arms around her waist, and she felt the tightness around them as if he was afraid she will be taken any moment. Aemond pressed his forehead against her own, cuddling further into her where he nose brush against her once again. Eudora hand began to stroke his cheek lovingly and traveled up to the cut. "What has you tense my love" she spoke.
"Just my brother" was all he said, not explaining further which she decided not to pry him out of which he felt grateful for. "I just needed to come here, I just... had to make sure you were here."
"We were literally laying in the garden for the past two hours my love" she chuckled. "And it's been barely an hour since we parted ways."
"I just need your warmth against my own once again" he said. "your lack of presence for the past moon was very much missed that I think I might sleep in your chambers once again."
"If that what you want then be my guess, I will not complain" she pulled their heads apart where she can meet his eye. "Besides, I think I will like to have you with me tonight. The past nights I haven been having... questionable dreams that I wake up every night confused."
"Your dreams has come back again? Why didn't you tell me or write to me?" He questioned.
"Well I didn't want to bother you, plus mother was there to aid me and she given me a tea that helped–"
"I would've flown out with Vhagar and take you back home if you were struggling; don't you remember what happened last time, you went through a seizure Eudora I thought... I thought I was going to loose you" he said perturbed. Eudora grew guilty as she began to see the worry in Aemond. He felt she didn't understand how much she meant to him, and he felt that him not being acknowledge about the issue made him assume that maybe she no longer needed him anymore. That maybe Aegon was right.
The anxiety begun to overcome him making the intrusive thoughts to invade him. Aegon voice was heard, then his bastard nephews and his father who did not want to spend dime with him. His mother voice calling out the maids to take Aemond as he could hear how she didn't want to be bothered by him. It was too much for him to handle that his legs began to give up on him making him fall on his knees.
Aemond for years felt like he was not needed. He was never needed by father nor his mother – not even his own sister. He felt he wasn't seen, he felt like a burden to everyone. He was only the second son, the fourth child of Viserys – what is he even needed for?
"Am I no longer needed?" He whispered.
"W-What? Aemond where is this comin – of course you are needed." Eudora began to panic as she could see that he was having another episode of anxiety. "Aemond look at me, what happened? What had Aegon tell you that is making you be this way. Aemond please, my love I worry for you... let me in" she begged.
"No... No I am a burden to you – I don't need your pity" he snapped.
"Aemond you are never a burden to me and what I give to you is not pity, but love. Aemond don't turn away from me – look at me" she grabbed his head forcing his eye to meet hers. "I see you Aemond Targaryen, I see you."
"You see me..." he was entranced by her voice.
"Yes, I see you" she gentle smiled. "You are seen, you are loved, you are worthy Aemond."
"I am?" He questioned.
"Yes my sweet, you are. You don't have to tell me what Aegon told you, you don't. Whatever it was don't let it consume you. Remember what I told you when we were little? People who are blinded by their insecurities would press them onto you to satisfy their ego, don't let their words trump you over my love. Don't let it."
Eudora fingers ran through his hair to comfort him. Her hands then traveled to his eye patch where she paused for a moment to ask him if it was okay, and when he nodded she took off his eye patch revealing the scar. He waited to see if she was going to back away by the scar that held a sapphire in his eye socket, but she didn't. Instead he saw the love in her eyes that never wavered.
"There would be people that will come into your life Aemond that would ravish to see you at your downfall. It will bring them pleasure knowing they have you by the neck where you are weak, and I tell you right now, don't let them. You may think yourself small, but I don't. I see a strong man who holds a sword that he dances so well with. The way he moves and the way he presents himself shows me how powerful of a character he is, that nothing and no one could ever stoop over his level.  However, I also see a lost man who tries too hard. Throughout your life Aemond you have train harder than anyone I've known. I see you screaming at them telling them you are worthy. I see that you try to be seen by those who barely glance your way. My love, don't be desperate; don't waste your time on those who barely even take a time out of their life to return the favor. You will never find what you want if you continue walking on this endless path. You must recognize yourself and reflect. You must meet yourself and mend. You must accept the ugly and the beauty of you.
Once you do that Aemond, others validations are insignificant. Their words are not even worth than your own." She pressed her hand against his heart, "Your heart and soul are the strongest armor you could ever have, and your mind is your sword. Use them. Accept who you are, don't let others rule over you, you are not their slave; you are in control of who you are and who you want to be... do you understand."
"I understand," he whispered. "Thank you."
"Promise me not to hide yourself when you're in pain, it's unfair that we laughed together but you cry alone."
"I promise. You are a gift Eudora, a rarity in this time that I am fortunate to be living in." Aemond continues to believe he has been saved by the angel in front of him, but Eudora did not save him she just found him. He needed to be found and appreciated for exactly who he was, and she doesn't mind if she had to look for him again in the dark. After all, he was the love of her life and someone with that title she will make sure of that.
"I have a gift for you" she said. She stood up from the ground made her way to her satchel where she takes a pouch. She made her way back and sat back herself down where she holds the pouch to him. "Take it."
Aemond obeys and opens the pouch. On the palm of his hand laid a ruby crystal. " I don't mind if you continue to put on the sapphire, but you have two options to choose for whatever occasion. The ruby was given to me from my father who given it to my mother. I thought I lost it and I remember crying to my father about it because we no longer matched. This whole entire time the my father had it put away" she giggled. "I guess he forgot to give it back to me."
"Why gift me something that is so precious to you?" he questioned.
"Because I already have this" she told him as she held the ruby necklace that's wrapped around her neck. "thanks to uncle daemon, he given me my fathers ruby as a token that means so much because it wraps all of my father memories. This necklace alone is precious to me. This ruby was original gifted from our grandmother who given to my father. She told him that to give this ruby only to someone you care deeply, so he given it to my mother. But when my mother passed away, he knew there is no other person he could hand this necklace to other than me because I was his last love. Similiar to what grandmother told him, he told it to me: give it to someone you care deeply about, the person who you love the most. So I thought of you."
"You love me?"
"Yes Aemond, I do."
Aemond looked back down at the ruby and he swore he saw a glint of light speck out of it. Aemond took off the sapphire from the socket of his eye, and place into the pouch that the ruby was once in. Aemond looked back at Eudora who watched him with gentle eyes, he brought the ruby to her "can you do the honors" he asked. With gentle fingers, Eudora placed the ruby into the socket of his eye, "How do I look?"
"Handsome like you always do" she said. "Now we match."
"I love you too," Aemond said. "With all of my heart."
Aemond brought her close to him and captured her lips. She sat on his lap and her arms wrapped around his neck. Aemond brought herself closer and tighten his grasp around her. When the two broke apart, Aemond nuzzled his head into the pocket of her neck as he inhaled her scent bringing him to a peaceful state.
The sapphire gifted by his mother was no longer going to be put back on, Aemond decided that he will have it put in a place somewhere in his room. He had something better and more meaningful that was gifted to the one wrapped in his arm.
His Eudora.

Word count: 6014
After weeks of trying to fight off the wedding, the day has arrived for Aegon and Haleana Targaryen. Ravens have been sent to every high house: Stark, Arryn, Baratheon, Tully, Greyjoy, Lannister, Tyrell, and Martell. All had arrived to Kings Landing three days ago to register their arrival to the King. Many of them, counter House of Stark, endeavor by kissing the King's boot in order to achieve acknowledgement. Seeing the Kingdom full of people was beginning to feel claustrophobic for Aemond that he would be gone out flying to clear his mind. Some of the times he will tend Eudora company, but that began to be difficult due to the swarming of men that try grabbing her attention and her rather putting her entire regard on Halaena.
Halaena who has been feeling apprehensive when it became the week of the wedding. Alicent who was still picking-up motherhood didn't know how to reassure her daughter, she gave no solitude instead reminding her the betterment this will stand for their family.
Aemond who watched the interaction between the mother and daughter try to find ways to resolve the issue. Out of Eudora, Aemond truly cared for his older sister as she was the most innocent and kindest person who was unfortunate to be born under the crown, and this time of era. Though he does not understand his sister, as a brother who's dedicated of making sure she tries to live a happy life although she is marrying their brother, Aemond has always tried to making sure his sister was seen – just like how Eudora does that exact favor to him. I guess you can say her pure nature link towards him, however, he only gave it to those that he saw was worth giving it toward.
When he departed from his sister's chamber, Aemond mind went to Eudora. Eudora who has such love and care for Halaena – Aemond knew It is she who Halaena is the most comfortable with, and it is she who is the only person that can touch her. Know one understood why although Halaena gave reason, but it came out in riddles so know one still wasn't able to comprehend. Needless to say, Eudora has uphold to being by Halaena side for the majority till she was no longer needed.
Aemond would watch from his sister gap door how gentle Eudora was with her. Although Halaena knew her fate was written and there was no way for erasing it, she still whispered that she did not want to marry her older brother knowing that this marriage will be nothing, but miserable and loveless. Eudora couldn't find the words in ways to see the brighter side of this outcome when there wasn't any. So she would hold onto the girl and gave her a promise, "when it comes to the point where you can no longer fathom, you come to me and we will figure out a way for you to start a new chapter of your life. This will only be between you and me Halaena. And if Aegon does something out of line, then you come to me and Aemond and we will get him straight, " Aemond smirked at the thought of that.
Since then, Halaena had became a little lighter after their conversation and it was seen by the Queen who was semi-relieve of seeing her daughter less miserable.
Now the day has come and Eudora was inside Halaena chambers, alongside Alicent. Eudora was standing behind doing her hair, it was Halaena idea as she didn't want anyone else to touch her. Alicent didn't want to poke, so she allowed it and was standing behind as she observed the two girls who was speaking in low tones and hush laughters. Seeing the smile on her daughter morphing back on her innocent face made her feel tranquil, and it made her believe her idea that marrying Aegon and Halaena would be good fit.
Once Eudora was done doing her hair she went to Lila and Kata, Halaena servant maids that she took the time to get to know. As the three went up to the bride who silently sitting looking beyond the window, Alicent went up to Eudora placing her hand on her shoulder causing the girl to turn around. Alicent given her a small smile and interlocked her hands with her own. The Queen pulled the princess away from them, and took them in the corner where they still hold each other hands. "I want to thank you for being there for Halaena. Your company really brought  serenity in my daughter's heart that as a woman who is a mother, it is ignominious that I lack such."
"You don't have to thank me my Queen. Halaena is like my best friend  the care and love I have for her, I wouldn't mind being there for her. And as a mother, I wouldn't criticize your credit of effort; there is no rule book of how to be a mother, you learn as you go" Eudora words brought a genuine smile on the young Queen, and so she gave the princess a hug.
"Thank you for being here with us Eudora, you don't understand how much your present means to not only me, but as well as my children and your uncle. Also, you can call me Alicent – no need for the formalities my dear," she was also going to add that she can also call her Aunt Alicent, but she didn't want to come across as overbearing so she left as that.
"Alright A-Alicent," Eudora hesitantly said causing the two to giggle, "and you're welcome."
"Also, I think its best you head to your chambers and get yourself ready. The maids and I have everything organized; go make yourself beautiful and we will see you at the front with us at the ceremony," Alicent caress the girls chin with care. Eudora nod as she also agreed that was a must. Before her departure, Eudora announced her leave to Halaena and gave her a chase kiss on the cheek.
When the princess exit the brides chamber, Ser Arron came to her side. The two walked their way to the side of the castle where there rested her chambers. Once there, Ser Arron guarded her door once when she entered inside.
The aroma of honey and vanilla filtered through her bedroom having her stop at her footsteps. She registered in her mind and she didn't remember ever asking anyone to prepare her a bath. Eudora was stuck in her head that she didn't see the person crawling through the shadows. The person who steps were soft and silent made their way close to where they can smell her signature perfume. The person placed their hand on the princesse's shoulder causing to her instantly turn around digging a blade to their neck, "why is this how you treat your lover?"
"Aemond you fool" she snapped, "why you sneak up on me like that, again!" She groaned in annoyance as she pulled herself away from him. Aemond who didn't move from the position just smiled at his love, and coughed out a low chuckle. He always liked scaring her even when they were children he continue to do it, he just found out amusing how alarm she react to be.
"I hope you like my altruistic guise that I had the maids do. The water is still warm and all the oils that you use are at the designated stations. I thought because you have been so occupied with my sister, why not do something for the woman I love who has been caring for the one and only sibling that I can deal with."
"Aemond that is... thank you my love" she appreciated as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Your thoughts of me will never be taken granted." She pressed a kiss on his scar, a place she favors according to her which he found idiosyncratic. Nevertheless, it makes her words be illustrated into action when she reminds him that she sees him. "Will you join me? You smell of smoke and rain which is not bad seeing how it's one of my favorite scents from you, but I'm sure having a nice bath will do you good."
Aemond groaned at Eudora who looked at him with a sly smirk. He knew what she was doing, and the urge to take her now was stuttering. "You sure know how to grab a man by his cock," he said.
"What can I say, I learned from the best" she shrugged.
As Eudora lead her way to the warming bath, Aemond follow suit – it was like his feet had personality of its own because they eagerly went on with a fast pace. Once the two disregarded their clothes, their bodies were pressed together. Aemond watch Eudora gently taking off his eye patch and set on the table that stand beside the tub. When she return her attention back to him, she met with the ruby crystal that she gifted him. She hummed with delight and placed another peck on his scar and whispered "handsome."
Aemond wrapped his arms around her waist, Eudora rested her head on his chest as her eyes were closed. The two sat in the water in complete silence. The air was clean and peaceful, the two needn't to talk as their presence with each other was enough talking. Eudora extended her hand to the table where there standing were her oils. When she grabbed them, she turned herself around where she was no face-to-face to Aemond. The prince allowed his princess smother him with the oils she uses that made her skin soft and luminous. She scoop a bowl of water and dunked over his body. She then went to his, using the soap she has she combed through his hair and as she did that she will pepper him with kisses all of his face having him hum contentment.
After she finished washing him he was now his turn. He did everything that she give to him, and he made sure he took his time since he love the part where his hands cupped her breast making her moan. They stayed in the bath till the water turn cold, and when it did the two got out. Eudora wrapped herself in her silk robe and began brushing her hair. She watched Aemond through her mirror stepping into the secret doorway that opens from her bed. She watched Aemond exit her chambers through there, and she knew he will come right back which she stand corrected.
Twenty minutes after, Aemond reenter her chambers through the same door, this time dress in black leather. Eudora was halfway done getting ready, all she needed to do was step into her dress. Aemond went to sit on the chair that stand by the fireplace, and watched the flames making him going into a trance toward his thoughts. He was so delve into his mind was to come after the ceremony that he didn't sense the woman creeping his way to him.
"I always wonder if silver hair will suite me" she spoke making him to awaken. Aemond look at her from the mirror that stood across from him, and watched her laying her against his temple as she took his hands interlacing them together. "Would you look at that, it does" never once did his eye waver away from her when she continue to smile at themselves from the mirror. Aemond was absolutely enchanted of her appearance it made him worry of the suitors that dare to take her away from him – even worse, if she found any of them bettering suiting than he, it made the game of her attention far more stressful.
"Of course silver hair suits you my love; no other color will ever be a better match than silver." Eudora knew that line wasn't about hair color, but a statement of him and her. "We must go we can't miss my siblings wedding; could I do you the honors of walking to the hall Lady Targaryen."
"Why of course Prince Aemond, I wouldn't have anyone else in mind than you."
Tumblr media
Aemond Targaryen was feeling absolutely exasperated. He watched what he knew he will being dreading for next hour and that was the suitors that were going up to his Lady trying to evoke conversation that slid into an offer for a dance. He knew Eudora could not deny not due to the kindness of her heart, but because his King father had told her too. Eudora name-day is two moons away and by that time when she turns ten and six, she will be going on tours to find herself a husband; what no better way to start now since all seven high houses are at her disposal.
Aemond from the corner of his eye watched his father barely pay any attention to his blood children that looked to be miserable, rather keeping his eye on his niece who was dancing with the second oldest son of house Tyrell. The King was pleased to see the lot of lords who were eagerly in line to dance with the princess, that he believed that she may find herself a betroth. To the King's foggy mentality, he surmises that each nobleman were a good fit for Eudora and they were not bad looking. On the contrary, it is Eudora who it is to choose the person that she saw fit. As he given that choice to Rhaenyra, it would be fair to do the same to his favorable niece.
Aemond was able to hear his father terribly whisper to his mother of every man that his eyes come across. "He is a good fit for her" or "He may be a tad short for her, but I'm sure that not matter to her," and even worse "I can see them baring beautiful children." That last comment was what brought Aemond to get up from his sit making the chair screech against the tile floor causing attention from his table. Alicent watched her son walking away with pure vexation that read over his face. Alicent may not be an empathetic person, but when it came to her children she can read them quite literate. Since the ceremony, Alicent has noticed her sons behavior of Lords who linger to long around Eudora.
Alicent knew the crush Aemond has for Eudora, she's knew since the day they landed back to Kings Landing from Driftmark. That crush developed into much more and Alicent couldn't help, but worry for her son heart. Knowing Aemond's ambition that began to grow, it wouldn't come to surprise if one day he asked for her hand to his father, and already know the answer to that she hoped that the infatuation he has soon begone. Oh how small her hope is.
Meanwhile, once the dance with Eudora and Lord Tyrell came to an end, the princess bow as a form of gratitude and went on her way to grab herself wine. But before she had the chance a hand grabbed her by the wrist, twirling her around where she bumped into the persons chest. "Hello cousin," Eudora looked up to meet Cregan Stark dark orbs.
"Cregan!" Eudora wrapped her small arms around the man big body. Cregan gruffly chuckled at his petite cousin, and engulfed her into a hug. "It's been so long, I've missed you."
"As do I little wolf," he pulled away, but kept his hold on her arms. "You should visit Winterfell, father would be happy to have you again."
"I might as well makes plans then since I do miss Arrya's baking goods. Oh that reminds me, where is Arrya?" Cregan smile turn to a frown as he watched his cousin looking around to find the brunette Lady. The twinkle in her eyes made his heart soar because he knew he had to break the news to the tragedy that'd happen not long ago. May she Rest In Peace.
"Arrya has passed away" Eudora turn back up to look at the saddening eyes of her cousin. "She and my child did not make it, so..." The bulk man swallowed his cry and suck in a breath to compose himself, once he did he gave Eudora a small smile. Eudora took his hands giving them a tight squeeze. It made sense why she didn't see Arrya by his hip, wherever Cregan stood she was always there. Now that he is here, a lone wolf seeking for another to stand by him made Eudora have a sour taste in her mouth.
"I-I'm so sorry... I didn't know. She was a wonderful Lady who had such a great heart. But rest assured she is now in a good place, as well as your child. I'm sure they are doing okay cousin."
As Eudora was confronting Cregan, Aemond watched by the pillar that he was leaning against. He took a sip of his wine as he watched her giving him another hug which made him roll his eye. Eudora reminded Aemond to not be jealous of her relationship with Cregan, but how could he not when the two have such a bond. Wife or no Wife, he wouldn't be surprise if the Stark had intentions of taking his Eudora's hand. Though the Stark traditions aren't like the Targaryens, doesn't mean a wolf won't leap to get what they wanted. Unlucky for him, a wolf and dragon could never workout.
"Eudora Targaryen, a beauty that creature is am I right," spoke Jason Lannister who stood beside the Targaryen prince. Aemond looked over with contempt, but the Lannister didn't spare him as his focus was solely on the raven hair princess. "I planned to propose for her hand to the King, in result making our union a strong pair. Seeing how princess Rhaenyra did not accept our marriage I had to choose my second option, fourth daughter of House Baratheon. Man that woman was plump as a pair, and horrible in bed. Good thing she passed for I to have this opportunity."
"What makes you think you can talk to me Lord Lannister?" spoke the prince, "I am not the person you should be divulging such... proposition. I don't know what you're trying to deliver here."
"Well I heard that you and the princess are close, so I was thinking why not try and befriend the person Eudora Targaryen is close with – put in a good word for me in return for favor amount," the old man laughed, but Aemond was not laughing, he was fuming from inside but kept a stoic expression.
"Hm."
"I plan to keep my word years ago, I have the resources to build a dragonpit if Eudora becomes my Lady Wife. I heard that dragons of her is quite the giant, having the two by my side is quite dominating. I'll do anything to make sure she felt at home, and our children will be quite the beauty..." Aemond jaw clench together as he glanced over the old man once again. If he could, he would slide his head off in front of everyone in this hall. He wouldn't care if his mother slapped him, if it meant to be known that Eudora was his than so be it.
"First most, my condolences of your late wife Lord Lannister. I wish I could empathize with what you dealt with. I mean I have ninety-nine problems that I deal with constantly, but an ugly wife–" Aemond chuckled. "–I cannot relate," The Lannister Lord looked at where Aemond pointed and of course it was the woman he was saying he would take her hand. The Lannister gulped harshly, his hands began to sweat and his heart plummeted deep the pit of his stomach. The Lannister stuttered with his words, trying to come up with an excuse of speaking with such foolish words without even thinking twice whether to ask if Eudora was already pursued. Aemond eyes didn't leave her figure, he admire from where he stood at the way she duck herself in the goblet to shy her laugh. The way her nose scrunch was adorable picture that will stay in his memory, and her biting her lip made the man breathe out frustratedly as he tried to maintain the urge crawling its way.
Aemond lips pursed together when he was growing tired of the man next to him, he thought 'why not have a bit of fun.' Aemond turned his body to the man whose body began to stutter when he came in contact with the one-eye prince. The height between the two was uncanny, it made the Lord look to be submissive the way Aemond's height tower over his. Aemond, who roughly slammed his hand on the Lannister shoulder went down to his ear and whispered, "next time you say such foolery about my wife, I will have your body be ripped into shreds where it would be laid on a silver platter for our dragons to feast. Make sure you send that message to every lord that dares to take her hand." Aemond pushed the man off making him hit the back of a lady who gasp with fright at the harsh contact. Barely giving a proper apologize to the lady and the man who presumed to be her husband, glared to the Lord who ran away with his tail between his legs.
"Scaring off another suitor my prince?" Aemond turned around to meet with Eudora's mischievous smile, and in return he gave her an innocent look.
"Whatever do you mean, my love?" Eudora roll her eyes at her love stalling. "I was just making normal conversation to the man, but it seems my appearance scared him away" he countered by gesturing the eye patch that strap around half his face hiding away the scar.
"I'm sure that was not the case, but I'm not one to budge," she wrapped their arms together where she pulled them where sat the King and Queen. "But whatever made you snap, just know you will be hearing from the Queen." She knew whatever he warn will cause questioning to entire court; knowing Aemond she wouldn't be surprise if he slid across the table that she was betrothed to him. Her Aemond is a possessive man that she knows.
"I look forward to it" and he truly meant it. Once words goes out what Aemond told to Jason Lannister, he will take the opportunity to ask for Eudora hand to his mother and father even if it meant getting double slapped from the pair; he could take it.
Aemond pull Eudora's chair for her and sat himself down right next to her, and he made sure to pull her seat quite close to him making their thighs touch. The King who was sat next to his niece rest his palm on the back of her hand, giving her a smile in return "I hope the Lord were gentleman my niece, and have you thought consideration on any of them?"
Before she was to speak, Aemond rested his hand on her thigh as he leant over her to speak to his father who had frail hearing "None of them seem to be quite the fit father, unfortunately. In fact, I would steer away from Jason Lannister, his intentions for my dear cousin seems to be very indecorous." Eudora gave Aemond look which he ignored.
"You don't say, ironic you say that because Rhaenyra had similar thought."
Alicent watched from beside her King husband of how Aemond triumphantly grinned at Eudora who did not say a thing. Alicent eyes slightly widen when she saw the way her son grip his cousins thigh, and even more appalled how Eudora did not try to even pull away from him, instead she held wrapped her hands with his.
She was going to have to talk with her son tonight.
Tumblr media
She felt hot.
Her body beginning to unbar the hard ground floor that she lay. Her eyes that were closed scrunched together with discomfort. She begin to feel uncomfortable with the way her hair stick to her sweating face that she was about to brush them away until she felt a hand brush it for her. That sudden cause her to snap her eyes open.
Eudora lifted her body from the scale ground and she looked around her surroundings. Her heart plummeted to her stomach – she knew this place, she recognize it. She was dreaming again, this time of the same thing.
The princess lifted herself up and she began to scheme the familiar buildings. The architect was made of limestone that was protected of marble dust stucco. The carving stone polished with chamois to provide resistance to the river of lava that flow throughout what seem to be an island. Such building fine and distinctive that it made her see the great deal of effort made to build such art in prominent positions with such sophisticated geometry. Admiring the dimensions of the architect made it seem likes she been here before, or rather that she once lived here.
She was so in-tune with the place that she didn't notice the person that was walking behind her, until she felt a hand resting her shoulder did she turn herself around, but before she had the chance to react her stance immediately falter when she came face-to-face of the person.
She let out a gasp when she recognize the square face shape and violet-blue eyes. It was no other than Maegor Targaryen, "p-papa."
"Hello my little dragon," the former prince lifted his daughter up from the ground, as he twirled her around in his arms. "Look at you, beautiful as your mother" he complimented. Maegor who brushed his thumb against her cheek had Eudora lean against her fathers touch. The princess closed her eyes – taking advantage of the beguilement touch.
Maegor fixated on his daughters eyes, vermillion just like the Valyrians he came acquainted with.
"This is one of the best dreams I've had in a while, bless the old and new Gods for configuring you into here," she praised. "Oh father, you have no idea how much it means to have you here; even if this a dream that I will wake up from, I just want to tell you how hard everything has been since my return to Kings Landing four years ago." She stuff her face on his shoulder as she cried to her father. "The family is divided, Aemond lost an eye, and Halaena wedded her brother who doesn't eve acknowledge her. If only you were here everything would've been sorted."
"I know my daughter, I know" he sighed. "Unfortunately, some things are meant to come this way according to the book that been written since the day the first men step foot on earths soil. The damage I know breaks your heart, and I see you trying your best to mend the relationship, but you can't fix what has been broken for years my darling. Only they can which will never happen," she looked at her father woefully.
"What do you mean never happen? Are you saying that you have seen something father, of our family?"
Maegor looked at the city ahead, his mind thinking whether he should tell her what was to come, but he thought against it as it was not his place. There are so many alternatives that could happen, and one of them involves Eudora. She's the beacon.
"Yes," he answered "but I cannot tell you since it is not my place. I came here to give you the message the Gods want me to deliver to you Eudora."
"The Gods? Message? W-What do you – this isn't... this–" she stutter with agitation when she had a feeling something was coming to a turn, and it was not a good.
"You have been having vivid dreams, am I right?" he questioned his daughter, which she nodded with a questioning look. "And it always leads you to here" he gesture with his hands, pointing out the island that they stand. "My dear Eudora, I know you may be confuse but there is reason why you've been having recurring dreams. This Kingdom you see here," he pointed out "used to be Old Valyria before the Doom. This was our home."
"Old Valyria, I don't understand?" She questioned confused.
"The day you were born, it was under a Red moon. It has been written by ancient astrologist that a Red moon only comes 1000 years, it signifies prophecies; the beginning of the end times. There is no record of any woman birthing a child under a Blood moon because it is uncommon, until you. Your mother and I didn't pay much attention to it at first since we were just focus on you, our little dragon. It was then a blood mage step foot at our chambers at late hour did she reveal your destiny. Now, I am not one to reveal as it not my part but the Gods to reveal. I only come baring a message from them, and that is on the day of the gibbous moon you must fly to Old Valyria."
"W-What? I don't know even know where that is? Papa are you hearing yourself right now? Valyria is in complete pieces - it is even said that the island is cursed; have you not heard what happened to Aerea Targaryen? She came back completely inflamed inside and out that the Maestor were appalled of such."
"Aerea Targaryen thought she was the one to bring back Valyria, which was never true at all. Targaryen blood cannot rejuvenate Valyria, only another who holds the blood of the original can bring back the island to the it was. A true born Valyrian. who step foot of Old Valyria" He reasoned, and he looked in hopes at his daughter but she still looks at her father puzzle.
"I still don't understand" she cried with stress.
"Eudora my darling listen to me," her father sighed grasping her shoulder in place where she met his eyes. "In any circumstance I would never put you in a situation where your life would be endangered, never. What I do for you is for your good, and as your father I'm telling you must ride there on a gibbous moon before the new moon. Jyrot knows the way –  a dragon always remembers its way to their home. Why do you think everyone was confuse to never heard of him? That is because Jyrot was not born nor raised  in Westeros, he is from Old Valyria where the rest of his brothers and sisters are."
Eudora was struck with complete silence. Gazing at the veracious look in her fathers eye, half her was telling her to listen while her ego echoed saying that this was just a dream. It's just a dream, this is not a real. It's a dream, it's a dream, it's a dream she chanted inside.
"Your mind is quite loud my little dragon" her father chuckled. He tucked her hair behind her ear as he rest his hands against her cheeks. The former prince pressed a kiss on his little dragon head, and press his forehead against her. "This is not like any dream Eudora. Haven't you question why you've been seeing indigo buntings? Everywhere you go, you point them out" For the past biennial, Eudora has catch so many Indigos buntings that she would even find them at Dragonstone. She didn't think to much of it only that she thought she attracted them because she has such love for them. The birds began to be a favorite of hers, and every time one visits her window she would feed it seeds.
"The meaning behind them is spiritual realization, the birds are me telling you to wake up and see what has been blinding you all these years. You hold a purpose Eudora, and you will soon find out what it is once you're there. That mark that is planted behind your neck speaks what's ahead in your future. You remember what I told you back when you were child, yes?"
"Aegon I Targaryen as well was born with the mark, it was because of that mark the Gods gifted him visions to bring the seven kingdoms." She said
"And it was I who did the same and now it is your turn to fulfill their duty. Our paths are different, but they all hold a connection. Once the pieces align, everything will come together just like the Gods had planned. Now you understand the important task that comes in hand."
"But what about my family? What about Aemond? Can't they know?"
"No they cannot. The tension between the two families is conflicting that even a peak will have them want to overstep. You mustn't tell a word Eudora, not even to Aemond. The time will come where everything that is meant will be reveal. You must leave tonight; the journey to Essos is long, but I assure that Jyrot will protect you like he always has. My little dragon, don't fret as I am always around you.
Now wake up."
And awoken she did when she woke with a gasp. The night sky still lit, and the moon light poking through her window. The voices of Aemond and his mother could be heard from his chamber which is not far from where she sleep.
Eudora lifted the covers off as she went to the window, and ahead she was met with Jyrot pale eyes that glare at her. It was like she could hear him inside her mind telling her, "go, we must go."
Eudora look back at her chamber door where she could hear Aemond confessing his feelings of her and their relationship. A tear slid across her cheek as the idea of leaving him came across. Eudora let out a stuttering breath as she wiped her tear away. She look back up at Jyrot who still kept his eyes on her. She gave him a signal which he took a queue to be ready.
The princess removed her bedding gown and put on her riding attire given by Rhaenyra who once wore it when she was younger.  Her fingers run through the detail of the three dimensional dragon scale pieces at the shoulders, forearm and the collar on her coat which has a triple row of the scale pieces accentuated with round dark silver beads at the neck hole. The scales at the shoulder are placed in two directions to resemble an epaulet. A neat element that she favor, and wearing it will have her remember her godmother.
Once she had everything, she wrap her satchel across her body as she lifted herself up to the window. When she felt the window that caress her hair and skin did she take a moment to pause and taken in Kings Landing. Who knows, it might be her last time ever see the palace and it's people again.
Honestly, she was happy her last moment was a goodnight kiss from her Aemond, which brought made her heart sink again at the thought of leaving him behind. She hope that he knew that she wasn't abandoning, as she promise to herself that she will come back to him once she seeks the answer she's been looking for.
As she whispered goodbye, she leap from the window and immediately Jyrot came and caught her where he flew and flew till he blended with the night sky.
As Eudora look back at the castle with tears painted on her cheeks, she turn herself around and lean her cheek against Jyrot scales.
As the princess was off to her journey to Essos, inside the palace Aemond was skipping his way to her chambers to deliver her the good news. With a smile, the Prince open the doors but to only to reveal an empty room and an open window.
From there everything went downhill.

I’m not gonna go too detail in regards of it because I want your guys mind to circulate on how you think both parties will react ;).
