I'm so sorry for invading your ask box over and over again but I feel really awkward posting my thoughts to my own profile when it ISN'T a fic or hc post

I had a thought based on @scorchingsilver 's art on bottle-feeding the recoms 😭😭😭

Imagine you're a soldier in the Deja Blu unit who's recombinant body isn't quite done growing. You're tasked with feeding the others, since for the first couple of days, they will have the minds of babies. When yours is done growing, they will do the same to you.

So there you're sat, on your bed feeding Zdog as the others are either in their gated beds (crib DUPE) or playing with their toys. (Toys being toy guns and rounded building blocks so de babies don huwt demsewvs)

You're holding a large bottle and Z, with the mind of a baby, is sucking on the nipple of the bottle. Lyle is playing "Army" with Prager and Fike. Fike is upset because Lyle keeps making silly names for the bases and he can't remember any of them.

Walker and Lopez are trying to pull down the gates of their makeshift cribs. Mansk is playing "Restaurant" with Quaritch. Quaritch is leaving brutally honest reviews and you're praying Mansk doesn't start crying. If Mansk starts crying, all hell breaks loose.

Norm and the other scientists didn't know the recoms were going to be like babies for the first couple of days, so he was really caught off-guard when they didn't quiet know how to walk and kept crying for seemingly no reason.

"Listen, Y/N. I'm putting you on baby duty." He said. "BABY DUTY?? Who got knocked up??" You replied dropping your clipboard. "Nobody. I hope. We didn't know this, but when the recoms wake up, they're going to have the minds of babies for a couple of days. We need you to bottle-feed them, baby-proof sharp edges and dangerous items, and maybe find some toys from the old school or make some from the forest. You're on good terms with the Na'vi, right? Mo'at can probably teach you a thing or two."

You sighed, picking up your clipboard from the ground. "Fine. But don't get upset at me when I complain about my shirt having baby vomit stained on it."
