I’m fighting a war. And war is weird.
And by war, I mean an actual, honest-to-Primus war. It’s been the strangest experience in my life. Cybertronians are one of the most peaceful races I think you’ll ever see, but there’s just something about some of the bots here on Iacon that just… Well they fuck it up for the rest of us, y’know?
These past few stellar cycles have just sort of been an anomaly. Small wars happen all the time, not surprising with how huge our race is, but they never drag on for more than a few solar cycles. Why does ours have to be different? I hate it.
The fighting’s dragged on for long enough I barely remember life before it. I haven’t had a day off since before the war, but if I did now I don’t think I could handle it. This feeling of tension- it’s engulfed the entire planet. Every single neutral bot is long gone, those of us that remain have been on edge long before they left.
Sometimes I wish I could have joined them. To just leave. To have a happy life. To not see things no bot was meant to see. To not have to feel the pain of losing someone.
I see Arcee come through my door, and push all of that down deep inside me. “Bee? You good?”
“Yeah,” I don’t think she believes me.
