IND vs. AUS 3rd ODI
Got up a bit early to catch some of Australia at bat. If you've got Hulu w/ ESPN+ in the USA, you can catch the game on either platform- though I recommend Hulu as the ESPN version seems bit janky for some reason.
India has very good bowlers, but its the batting side that seems to be inconsistent. It doesn't help that Australia's bowlers are very well up to the challenge. Mitchell Starc being one of the key threats.
Suryakumar Yadav("SKY") is still looking to get better established in ODI cricket. He's struggled in the longer formats. The ins and outs of India national team decision making are pretty complicated, so I'm not sure how long they'll give him to prove himself. He's batting 4th, which seems to be a good sign.
As i'm typing this Alex Carey just took the extra delivery after a no-ball to hit six... woof. Carey and Stoinis seem to be putting together a productive partnership.
India fielding also has looked a little sluggish.
It will be exciting to see how India chases. Both teams aren't really at any risk in ODI standings, this is just the top two teams going at each other with great lineups.

Punjab Kings vs. Mumbai Indians - IPL Showdown
Match Details
Matchup: Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians
Date: Thursday, April 18, 2024
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium
Punjab Kings want to subdue Mumbai Indians in a crucial match in Clash of the Titans
Get set for a pulsating battle in the IPL 2024 when PBKS faces off against MI on April 18th in Chandigarh. This encounter promises unmissable action as both teams sit on a precarious perch on the points table turning this match into a make or break spectacle.
Punjab Kings: Dependency on Mayank Agarwal for Batting
The tumultuous journey of the Punjab Kings in IPL 2024 resembles a rollercoaster marked by unpredictable performances. The team heavily leans on their captain Mayank Agarwal with their batting lineup demonstrating inconsistency. Forming a strong partnership especially between openers Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan stands out as a critical element for their success.
While the squads middle order showcases talent with players like Liam Livingstone and Jonny Bairstow the key lies in converting strong beginnings into significant scores. The bowling unit featuring Arshdeep Singhs pace and swing in conjunction with Kagiso Rabadas wealth of experience performs well; however they encounter difficulties in the final overs. The teams spin duo of Rahul Chahar and Harpreet Singh needs to focus on improving their economy rates.
Can Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai Indians, find his touch?
Having a rich history filled with glory Mumbai Indians are currently grappling with batting challenges this season. The underwhelming performances of Rohit Sharma and the top order starkly contrast with the promise that Suryakumar Yadav exemplifies in the middle.
Jasprit Bumrah leads a fearsome bowling lineup with Jofra Archers inconsistency injecting an element of surprise. Rahul Chahar and Murugan Ashwin the spinners play crucial roles in supporting the team yet Mumbais championship dreams depend on their improvement in batting form.
Prediction
It looks like this will be a close game. Both teams are expected to win, and the Punjab Kings will have the support of the home crowd.
The following important variables could determine the result:
Mayank Agarwal's form: Agarwal can set the tone for the Punjab Kings innings if he can get things off to a quick start at the top.
Rohit Sharma's return to form: Rohit Sharma's great knock has the potential to swing the game in Mumbai's advantage.
Death bowling: The team with a major advantage is the one that performs their death bowling strategies more effectively.
Spin bowling impact: The middle overs could see a lot of runs restricted by the spinners.
In a thrilling showdown the Punjab Kings find themselves slightly ahead courtesy of home advantage and a solid batting lineup; nonetheless the Mumbai Indians resilience and expertise in highpressure situations could potentially cause an upset.
Cricket enthusiasts are bound for an electrifying adventure as these IPL powerhouses clash for crucial points ensuring a thrilling showdown.

Match Details
Clash of Titans: Mumbai Indians versus Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Date: Thursday, April 11, 2024
Scheduled Time: for 7:30 PM IST
Location: Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai
A titanic match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians
Anticipate an exhilarating showdown in the forthcoming 25th IPL 2024 when Mumbai Indians clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 11th. This matchup embedded in historical significance and ardent supporter bases ensures a cricket enthusiasts utopia. Brace yourself for the captivating narratives that await!
Could the People of Mumbai Have a Frozen Resurgence?
Struggling in the ongoing IPL season the Mumbai Indians the reigning champions are currently encountering significant hurdles. Despite flashes of brilliance displayed by emerging talent like Tilak Varma and the impactful presence of Kieron Pollards powerhitting abilities their batting lineup grapples with persistent inconsistencies.
Suryakumar Yadav assumes a pivotal role in the middle order bearing considerable responsibilities amid the persistent challenges posed by the spin department. While Bumrahs impeccable pace and Merediths emerging talent infuse a sense of optimism into the bowling unit the comprehensive revival of Mumbai Indians historical dominance continues to remain out of reach.
Mumbai's Native Residents, Mumbai Indians (MI)
Advantages: A potent bowling partnership showcasing Bumrah and Meredith experts in gripping climaxes and highlighting the explosive batting prowess displayed by key figures such as Rohit Sharma Pollard and Yadav.
Disadvantages: Dealing with the Unpredictability of Batting Form and Reduced Spin Impact Compared to Earlier Seasons.
Can Faf du Plessis Sustain the Momentum for Bangalore's Royal Challengers?
RCB gleams under the radiant leadership of Faf du Plessis this season casting a luminous glow of hope. The exceptional prowess of du Plessis and Kohli injects an aura of invincibility into the teams batting lineup enriched by Maxwells explosive artistry. The disciplined tandem of Siraj and Patel spearheads the bowling attack; however a creeping concern clouds their performance in the crucial death overs.
The Regal Challengers of Bangalore (RCB
Merits: Du Plessis Kohli and Maxwells outstanding batting prowess paired with a methodically planned bowling strategy executed under the strong leadership of du Plessis.
Concerns Arise Regarding Late-Game Bowling, Vulnerability to Competent Spin Bowlers
Pitch:
The Chinnaswamy Stadium garners acclaim from cricket enthusiasts for its batsman friendly pitch akin to a paradise for run scoring opportunities. Sporting a flat track and short boundaries that beckon batsmen to the dance floor of high scores it provides an interactive field for singles and boundaries promising an action packed game. However the spin sorcerers may find themselves in a whirlwind unable to generate substantial turn and bounce akin to their counterparts at different cricket venues.
Condition:
Under the warm and oppressive skies teams could gain an upper hand in establishing their innings crafting imposing totals. However this climate also poses hurdles for bowlers potentially leading to fatigue as the innings progress. As the azure skies prevail and rain remains a distant prospect the match unfolds uninterrupted offering a seamless and delightful gaming experience to all involved.
Essential Figures and Game Face-Offs
The imminent clash between Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Siraj is of considerable importance. The trajectory of Mumbai Indians batting heavily depends on Sharmas ability to overcome his recent performance decline and establish a solid foundation. Sirajs adeptness in leveraging the new ball to exploit early anxieties has the potential to significantly impact the games final outcome.
Suryakumar Yadav vs Harshal Patel: Yadavs pivotal role in introducing innovative strategies and swiftly scoring runs in the middle overs will be crucial for MI. Patels tactical deployment of cutters and deceptive slower deliveries could present a considerable challenge to the flamboyant batsman.
The Epic Battle: Faf du Plessis vs. Jasprit Bumrah Enter the arena where du Plessis skill meets Bumrahs raw power headon. Can du Plessis overcome the tempestuous challenge posed by Bumrahs blistering pace? If he endures the initial onslaught an opportunity arises for du Plessis to lay the cornerstone of a formidable RCB total.
Virat Kohli Faces off Against Rahul Chahar: Brace yourself for Kohlis resurgence that is set to shake things up at RCB. Chahars leg spin has the potential to seriously unsettle Kohli particularly given his historic challenges against top tier spinners.
Prediction
Anticipate a gripping showdown ahead as the Mumbai Indians strive for a transformative season moment while the Royal Challengers Bangalore stand resolute in staking their claim in the upper bracket of the standings. Various factors influencing the result await:
Toss: Winning the toss and choosing to bat first might be advantageous on a strong hitting pitch.
RephraseSpin bowling: Especially during the middle overs your teams proficient deployment of its spinners could lead to a strategic advantage.
Fielding: Skillful fielding and catching may be crucial in a close game.
MIs pace battery might enchant RCBs batters if they find their groove. Heres where it gets interesting: RCBs big guns spearheaded by Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli seem to have brewed a potent cocktail of runs that could cause trouble for MI.
My prediction stands firm: The inevitable confrontation is on the brink of a heart stopping finale with RCB set to triumph over MI in a pulse pounding showdown by a razor thin margin.

[ad_1] Suryakumar Yadav and Mohammed Shami remain out with injuries© X (Twitter)The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) medical team continues to wait for the likes of Mohammed Shami and Suryakumar Yadav to regain full fitness. The duo is likely to remain out for a longer period, with Shami likely to miss the first two Tests against England while Suryakumar's return is not expected until the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. The BCCI announced India's squad for the 3-match T20I series against Afghanistan on Sunday but the team for the Test series against England is yet to be named. As per a report, Shami hasn't even started to bowl and would have to go to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru to prove his fitness. He was named for the Test assignment against South Africa but was later ruled out."Shami hasn't even started to bowl, he will have to go to NCA and prove his fitness. He looks doubtful for the first two Tests against England. Whereas in Yadav's case he will take more time than expected. After his hernia operation it might take up to eight-nine weeks for him to start training. Hopefully, he will be fit during the IPL," Indian Express quoted a source as saying. As for Suryakumar, he is on a delicate timeline that could see him remain out of action until the IPL 2024 season starts. Surya has a sports hernia for which he is likely to undergo surgery abroad. Such a situation rules him out for about two months.A report in the Times of India suggested that the Mumbai Indians batter could even miss the first few games of the IPL season because of his situation."SKY was recently diagnosed with a sports hernia. He is currently recuperating at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. In two-three days, he will fly for Munich, Germany, to get operated for it. It means that he certainly won't be playing for Mumbai this season in the Ranji Trophy and is likely to miss the initial games for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL," a source in the BCCI was quoted as saying."With the T20 World Cup in June, Surya will be given all the time to recover properly. He is crucial to India's chances in the T20 World Cup," TOI further said.Topics mentioned in this article [ad_2] Source link

India scored 201/7 with skipper Suryakumar Yadav smashing his record-breaking fourth T20I ton. Australia's Stunning Win Against India Secures World Cup 2023
India vs Australia - World Cup Final 2023
In the Cricket World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, hosts India, two-time champions, set a target of 241 for Australia, who are five-time winners of the prestigious tournament.
Australia, having won the toss, opted to field first and successfully restricted India to a sub-par total of 240 all-out. Virat Kohli (54) and KL Rahul (66) were the standout performers for India, each scoring a half-century in their innings.
The unbeaten Indian team aims to maintain a flawless record of 11 victories with a win in Ahmedabad. On the other hand, Australia enters the final with an impressive eight-game winning streak, although they faced a setback in the group stage encounter against India.
Australia dominated in both fielding and bowling, limiting India to 240 all out. Winning the toss, Australian captain Pat Cummins elected to bowl, a decision India's Rohit Sharma acknowledged they would have made as well.
Despite Rohit's explosive start, Shubman Gill fell early to Mitchell Starc. Virat Kohli entered aggressively, but Rohit's dismissal by Glenn Maxwell, courtesy of an exceptional catch from Travis Head, halted the momentum just shy of his half-century.
Marnus Labuschagne celebrated a half-century, while Cummins dismissed the in-form Shreyas Iyer. Kohli's departure at 54 off 63 slowed India further. KL Rahul tried to anchor the innings, but the 10th over marked a boundary drought. Rahul eventually fell for 66 off 107, and the last recognized batters, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav, managed 14 runs before India concluded their innings at 240 in 50 overs.
In defense, India started well. Mohammed Shami, taking the new ball instead of Mohammed Siraj, removed David Warner in the second ball of his first over. Jasprit Bumrah then dismissed Mitchell Marsh. Despite their expense, these bowlers eliminated two of Australia's formidable top-order batsmen.
As India and Australia collided in the World Cup final, the tension was palpable. Ravi Shastri's pre-tournament prediction of these two as potential finalists seemed improbable when Australia struggled with two consecutive losses. However, their resurgence with eight consecutive wins led to this highly anticipated final, a fitting clash between two deserving teams for cricket's most prestigious honor.
In Australia, where rugby reigns supreme, the pressure pales in comparison to the intense anticipation among Indian fans. The atmosphere is tense, akin to the night before a university exam. The wait for an ICC silverware has been a decade, and for a World Cup, it extends to 12 years since 2011.
Only Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin remain from the 2011 squad, adding emotional weight for cricket fans in their mid-30s, who vividly remember the heartbreak of March 23, 2003.
Highlights of India vs Australia: World Cup 2023 Final
- Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first.
- Rohit Sharma made a quick start, but Shubman Gill fell early to the Australian attack.
- Virat Kohli entered aggressively, but Australia struck back, claiming the wickets of Rohit and the in-form Shreyas Iyer.
- Despite Kohli and KL Rahul's efforts, they struggled to accelerate. Kohli scored another half-century but eventually fell to Pat Cummins.
- Rahul managed a hard-fought half-century, but the dismissal of Ravindra Jadeja followed.
- Suryakumar Yadav couldn't provide a strong finish to the innings.
- Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav combined to push India's total to 240.
- In the opening over, Jasprit Bumrah conceded 15 runs, but Mohammed Shami dismissed David Warner with only his second ball.
- Bumrah took two more wickets in the first 10 overs, removing Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith.
- Staging a comeback, Travis Head reached a century off 95 balls, guiding Australia to 185/3 in 33.5 overs.
