[Excruciating Duplicity - Callista Lorne] Character Personality / Character Inspirations ~ pt. 2

Hello Everyone,

We back, finally, with then next installment of my Character Installment Analysis for the Lorne Family! (quick note, I did change how their last name is spelt - slowly changing everything with wrong spelling, so bare with me).

For those who might have missed pt. 1 - this series is to explore the different personality types and share some character inspirations for some of the more under developed OCs here on the blog. Starting with the Lorne Family.

This is part 2 of 4 for this group.

In this post we will take a look at the two eldest boys, Calli's older brothers. If you have more questions, or you want to know more, feel free to ask! Enjoy~!

Alexander

ISTJ-T

A Logistician (ISTJ) is someone with the Introverted, Observant, Thinking, and Judging personality traits. These people tend to be reserved yet willful, with a rational outlook on life. They compose their actions carefully and carry them out with methodical purpose.

"The picture of perfection." Calm. Composed. Collected. Alexander is the embodiment of what an 'heir' should look like. As the eldest, he takes the roll of next in line to rule the Adler Kingdom. While his father is more loose, Alexander does command a certain level of restraint for his people. His main inspiration stems from Byakuya - embodying everything in the line of nobility.

There are a few different sides to him, depending on who is around - while still keeping in his true personality. I like to think that with his youngest siblings (Calli and younger), as well as his wife - he is much like Hatori. Caring but stern - seeing them as his most precious family members. For his more older siblings, he is a lot like Nanami - not caring for any nonsense from them, and grows annoyed when they cannot perform their duties. Lastly, I see Jin as his more goofy moments - being dead pan a lot of the time, the 'silly' side of him is still super serious.

I have included the best inspiration photo I could find for what I envision him looking like. I want every part of him to ooze with nobility and strength. Yet you can see the kindness in his eyes.

(don't expect that for everyone, sometimes you just find the right picture you know?)

Meteo

ESFJ

A Consul (ESFJ) is a person with the Extraverted, Observant, Feeling, and Judging personality traits. They are attentive and people-focused, and they enjoy taking part in their social community. Their achievements are guided by decisive values, and they willingly offer guidance to others.

For everything that Alexander is, Meteo is the soft underbelly. The embodiment of a big-brother type. He's that one you can always talk to, the one that will ask you about your day before telling you about his own, and the one that will try his best to make you smile. That being said, he does take his position as second eldest seriously, and does try to be firm every now and again. His biggest inspiration Yuu, as I feel he is the right level of kind and considerate that I am looking for.

Other like characters are of course the resident soft older brother Makoto - who will forever be a group mom. Meteo is this level of kind with his younger brothers. Is younger sisters he is more like Tensei, or at least tries to be. He wants to be reliable and for them to look up to him. Leorio is here to show how goofy he can be - while still being serious.

Sooooooooooooooooooo while I was browsing things in QooApp, I came across Ravenix, which sounded familiar to me cause I remember one of the original character designers for Exos Saga (Sinbaru; they did characters like Xiakhan and Heowon) posting character designs for that game to twitter.

I didn’t realize this was a game developed by Oozoo (same devs for EH).

And while I was watching a video previewing it, I realized... the art for the artifacts are uh... the same ones in Ravenix. LOL.

(Apparently it didn’t last very long at all...)

You know, I, like most people still playing EH, worry constantly that it’ll hit EOS but Oozoo literally has no other games in their repertoire, which is probably why they keep trying and trying. I kinda feel bad for them, they usually have some really visually interesting and different ideas, but man... artistic and creative vision alone a good game doesn’t make. (Just like a good artist might not necessarily be a good storyteller, re: manga and webcomic.)

ANYWAY I just thought it was interesting that the artifacts in EH are literally re-used assets from a dead game, which also explains why they are visually different (although similar “flavor”) from the other art in the game. Considering they’re billed as ‘parallel world,’ I really wonder if Oozoo considers their stuff to take place in some sort of Oozoo-verse, especially since Scarlet, who came from another game they did, is canonically billed in ES/EH as a hero from another world.

I was trying to see if there were more references to Rachel’s Saga’s design beyond what SR posted to their twitter (ala what Sinbaru did for Xiakhan’s design, which was full concept work and www just full on peacock here), so was browsing some KR boards and w...

Of course, everyone making fun of the AD’s (original) fondness for those “shitty pants,” but then someone does an admiring long picture post about all the heels the male characters wear but laughs about how Rachel’s heels have to at least be 10cm tall, tallest of them all. wwwwww

(In all honesty, it’s probably due to the same reason that Sandalphon from GBF has heels: it was a Thing for armored shoes to have heels. Just Rachel’s are a bit slimmer in silhouette and definitely has more height than any of his other counterparts; his heels in his gold FC are less signficant and have more heft.)

Then the poster points out that FC Zeon’s “heels” are those that are heel-less platforms that requires you to balance on the forefoot and HOLY SHIT I NEVER NOTICED but that’s pretty hot. Too bad the armor is so disgustingly overdesigned that the rest of the outfit is shit. w I hope whenever they release Rood that he also has some amazing heel-less shoes wwww!

(It’s pretty obvious the AD looks at a lot of runway fashion when designing the outfits for the characters. You can tell because of all the nice shoes they have.)

Another post I found was shocked that Zeon is older than Rachel, since then they first meet in EH (and thereafter...), they basically both act like children, but Rachel gets away with it for still being a teenager...

But my favorite was a post about Saga, which demonstrates that Baraka and Xiakhan’s animosity toward each other in EH originated from Saga, but in the conversation posted, Rachel is also present while they’re fighting. And seriously thinks to himself about how he doesn’t need friends so he should just kill them both to give himself some peace. lol LOL o.lolol i miss fuck-all-kill-em-all rachel they really toned him down in EH

All of that and I didn’t find any concepts so I guess they were never posted. It’s fine, SR’s posts show enough, but I was hoping for a full concept piece.

EDIT HOLY SHIT SEARCHING FOR THE SHIP NAME ACTUALLY LED ME TO THIS: https://blog.naver.com/reidinkurs/221330833049 Most of I’ve already seen before but there’s a concept of Ramge I haven’t seen. (Looks like a different version of SR’s website, thus the concept work.)
