today's lesson; guilds!

sprites from here
-i could've used gates or super's badge designs, but neither really seemed to fit with this third category? so I had to design my own, which...is not a thing I do lol, I think it turned out ok. I think having the wings be closed was a good idea, since it's about the opposite of freedom (for specific pokemon)
-just like the other two canon designs, the third one's color changes based on the rank of the pokemon wearing it. the main color around the lock symbol changes
-"gm" in the other slide stands for "guild master" in case that wasn't clear lol
-Wynn (the goodra) doesn't really trust other pokemon well enough to have a proper second in command. he's a bit paranoid and keeps some things to himself. this paranoia is a generational thing, his grandmother had trust issues and it got passed down
-the arcanine on the other hand is stubborn, also a generational thing, she comes from a family of stubborn pokemon that want to do all the work themselves. but she'll crack eventually and have someone help her out
-Silas (the umbreon) is Xander's (the abol) good friend and they've known each other for a long time. when a new guild gets built on the other side of the continent, Xander asks Silas to be the first guild master for that one, electing his own second in command and good friend
-the bewear is the original guild master for a guild started in the jungle and her color remains for a VERY long time

An avian from SMPLive, a member of "Team Chunk Error". Alongside Poke, likes to cause problems as much as possible for his amusement. Deadpan snarker. Somewhat reckless and emotionally closed off.
Like most avians, dude is tiny, built for flight. Compact and aerodynamic. Unfortunately, his short stature plus hollow bones don't exactly help him in combat, so he's primarily a speedster. They can't hit him if they can't catch him!
Has a pair of "head-wings" that are used for nonverbal cues. Always wears a yellow visor that's got a couple different features, such as showing him communicator messages when he's in the air.

Domani, giovedì 4 agosto, alle 21.00, al Castello di San Giusto di San Giusto di Trieste i Delirium International Progressive Group apriranno la XIXeseima edizione del Trieste Rock Summer Festival.
Il 4 agosto aprono i Delirium
I Delirium tornano al festival dove si erano già esibiti nel 2016 e, in due ore e mezza di spettacolo, riassumeranno in musica la propria storia attraverso quarantacinque anni di percorso: dai festival pop a Sanremo ('70-'71-'72-'73) e moltissimi concerti in Italia e all’estero (Germania, Olanda, Francia e Lituania). L'ultimo album, “L’era della menzogna” è uscito anche in vinile nel 2015 per Black Widow Records.
Il 5 agosto la volta degli Ozric Tentacles Electronic
Sempre alle 21.00, al Castello di San Giusto, saranno di scena gli Ozric Tentacles Electronic (unica data in Italia). Considerati una delle band più influenti emerse dalla scena dei festival del Regno Unito, gli Ozric Tentacles si sono formati durante il solstizio allo Stonehenge Free Festival del 1983 e sono diventati punti di riferimento psichedelici a Glastonbury e in altri festival.
La visione creativa del polistrumentista Ed Wynne, i paesaggi sonori unici e tristi degli Ozrics collegano i fan del rock progressivo, della psichedelia e della cultura della musica dance. can you give us more info about your warden :c and maybe about your other dragon age protagonists as well?
oh, i'd NEVER turn down an opportunity to talk about my warden! i'm playing origins currently, and i cannot stop thinking about her.
so, ecgwynn is her mother's stormy daughter. bryce teases sometimes that she was born from a raincloud and not from him at all, that she's a cousland by name alone. (which ecgwynn hates, but she refuses to speak up against her father. eleanor is more vocal about her displeasure.) she is the most dutiful daughter anyone could ask for, right down to putting her bow aside to learn gentler arts if it's requested of her, right down to wordlessly accepting her father's efforts at marrying her to nathaniel howe. but despite that, she's always been rainy. she's always had a rumble of thunder in her voice.
we all know how everything turns out, except... she nearly didn't make it out of castle cousland alive. two of howe's men managed to grab her while she and eleanor were trying to find her father, and they hauled her to a man with a great, gleaming axe, one already dripping with blood. they meant to kill them both, and it's a miracle that they didn't manage to do just that. still, the axe came down, burying into her shoulder, and giving her a wound that would stick with her through the remainder of the campaign against the darkspawn. (i love wounds in a narrative. i eat that shit up.)
it was duncan who saved her.
just as it was duncan who offered her a place among the wardens. just as it was duncan who invoked the right of conscription on the bloodied floor of the larder and tore her away from her resigned mother and dying father. just as it was duncan who died shortly after, leaving her alone and aimless with a horde of darkspawn and an archdemon to contend with.
she proved to be a soft-spoken, but mercurial leader, prone to flying off the handle in combat and putting herself into increasingly more dangerous situations for the sake of their tasks at hand. all the while, still suffering from the wound in her torso that refused to heal, no matter how much effort silas amell or wynne put into closing the wound.
her relationship with the companions is complicated, but none more than alistair. i'm thinking about writing A Fic About Their Relationship, so i won't include many of the details here, but she isn't a good partner to him in the beginning. it's such an easy thing for a wound to spread to others, especially when it has proven impossible to heal. but god, their dynamic is so fun. and messy. and painful.
i just. ah. i love her. I LOVE HER.
and i should use this opportunity to talk about sage and naiya, as well, since i don't often get asks of this sort. but ECGWYNN.

a birthday drabble/starter
The somber morning had gone as it always did. Art and his father woke up incredibly early and got on their steeds, Arthur on an actual horse, and Art on Wynn, and they rode out to the coast. It was about an hours ride, but it was nice and easy. It was a way to clear his head as he and his dad took this time to remember his mother. For as much as Arthur loved Guinevere with his full heart, part of him would always love Morgause and Art knew this. Sometimes he wished he knew his birth mother, but he knew his dad didn’t know either parent, and Guinevere was his mother and he had always claimed it as such and calling her that felt easy and more importantly right.
The reached the coast and ate a small breakfast and paid respects to Morgause. Art would never tell anyone that this was one of the few times he had ever seen his father cry. They headed back to the castle and were back by noon. Normally Art spent the rest of the day with his mother til she had to get ready for the May Day feast, that also doubled as a feast for his birthday but she said some gifts had been dropped off. He found that a bit different than normal. His friends in Camelot typically gave him gifts in person.
He walked in his room and noticed the gifts, he briefly wondered if he would get more, but he knew to not count on it. He already had so much and to be given more it was something he needed to be grateful for. He went to the first gift, and found a mechanical falcon, and was not only impressed but shocked. He wasn’t the best at falconry but he knew some who would be intrigued to see this. The bird took off and flew around, and he couldn’t help but laugh a bit as it landed, a few tears pooling in the corners of his eyes.
His eyes landed on the basket, and he immediately thought about the time at Olympus, and was incredibly grateful. He didn’t think anyone had paid him much mind at that trip, as it was so soon after the Tournament, and he was not the focus. But this basket told him otherwise. He was touched, and he blinked, wiping a few tears from his eyes.
He saw a card next, and smiled at the message, looking away to avoid tears staining the card. He pulled up his lap top and typed in the link to the song, and clicked play. It felt so familiar despite the song being something he had never heard before. It was perfect, he quickly made sure that the song was on repeat as he would be playing it all day likely.
Then he saw a box, it was small and inside was a charm on a leather band. It was quite intricate, and it reminded him of markings that Merlin had referenced back when Art first studied under him, and learned briefly about magic. He wondered if he asked Merlin about it if he could figure out what it all meant, but he didn’t want to share this with the wizard. He especially didn’t feel like it as tensions between the whole family rose. So he’d keep it to himself, he’d trust it.
He put it on, and realized he had for thank you letters to write. One to Gonzo ( @zzozo ) , Lani ( @clippher ) , Silas ( @ohshuhnaiz ) , and Harry ( @tiderider ) .
