Spoilers for ch7 Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by @strawberryicebreakers

Ted looked at their hands, then at Trent. “Can I -”

“Of course,” Trent said.

He didn’t know exactly what he’d expected; a kiss, probably, or maybe even Ted taking his hand away, but as always, Ted surprised him. The other man surged forward, wrapping his arms around Trent and pulling him close. Instead of a kiss, however, Ted turned, pressing his face into Trent’s shoulder and keeping it there.

Slowly, Trent raised his arms, bringing them up to hold Ted. He let one hand wander its way up Ted’s back, coming to rest at the nape of his neck. He felt for the soft, short strands, threading his fingers against them as he kept his touch light.

“We’re okay?” Ted asked, his voice muffled against the fabric of Trent’s shirt.

Trent’s arms wrapped around him, keeping him pressed tight against his chest. “We’re okay.”
