Why I Chosed to Be a Chiropractor?
I always wanted to do something in life that gave me a purpose. I wasn't always the type of person that could socialize and connect with others. Nevertheless, the idea of impacting people's lives and see a change in them for the better filled my heart. An idea wasn't enough, I had to make it real, therefore I started breaking down my walls of insecurity because I can't preach something I haven't gone through.
I had the opportunity to be part of a few community groups in my hometown. We serve, guided, and try to plant a seed of hope in those who most needed it. Trough them, I started to understand how vulnerable we are in one way or another, and how important it is to stretch a hand to help each other. That's why I want to be a chiropractor, I want to help people not only emotionally, I needed a career that completed my purpose in life. As a chiropractor, you don't see individuals as fragile body parts that need fixing, you see individuals designed with a physical potential that needs to be expressed. Chiropractic is my calling, is the missing piece of the puzzle and my place in society, this is bigger than me. Chiropractic is my tool to reach people in a constructing and humble way.
I am studying hard at Sherman College of Chiropractic. I'm learning everything I need to know to become a responsible chiropractor, conscience of the value of this care and always having the patient as priority one in clinic, regardless of the goods this profession can bring me as a doctor. I know this won't be an easy road but is worth it.
Life gave me a chance, it's call Francisco Machado, my grandfather. He had faith in me when most people doubted my potential. He had hope that I would do amazing things in life, he gave me a chance to be the best version of myself by believing in my potential. I want to deliver my patients that chance of experiencing the best version of their self with what chiropractic has to offer. Therefore, my future practice will be named Chance Chiropractic.

Ask me Why Chiropractic.
Tumblr media
Why Chiropractic, that is the question. Growing I always wanted to be in a profession that grants me the opportunity to help as many people as I can, to be in service to others. I first learned of about Chiropractic at a college fair in high school. Looking through all the colleges and university that came to visit, the one that stood out the most was this single chiropractic college. That college was the one that opened my eyes to the profession with this statement. “The profession focus on helping the to express its innate ability to heal by it self.” “Without the use of medication or any type os surgery”.
Those 2 single statement resonated with me. That’s when I knew this is what I want to do as living. What better way to help people by giving their body the chance to heal like it’s supposed. After that Aha moment the journey started, did my research, looked for its history, case study, benefits and the more I learned about  chiropractic the more I knew I wanted it. And 7 years later here I am in my 2nd quarter at Sherman College of Chiropractic. Where they take the essence and the philosophy of the profession to heart. Here I’m learning everything I need in order to be a responsible chiropractor, to have my future patients as priority and to value their health and teach them to do so as well. I want to see the impact this profession can bring to people and I truly hope to able to do it
This is the first post of many and my Why. To be honest it’s a work in progress but in due time I will be able to express my Why more clearly. This I part of my journey and I will be Chiropractor.

Why chiropractic?
The body of the human being is the most technical and complicated thing that I have been able to learn until the present, but at the same time if one analyzes it, it can conclude that it is the closest to perfection.  When we are younger we have the ability to experience many new things, because the reality is that we do not know the outside world and happen events (physical trauma, toxin or emotional stress) that causes the body to not work at 100%.  But guess what, the body alone is able to worry about what is wrong in the body and say, "I will make these changes (headache, fever, bruise, etc.) and warn you that something is wrong."  This is the typical example of each person, henceforth it is a personal decision of how to regulate those changes that the body makes to inform you that something is wrong. When I was very young I experienced chiropractic adjustments as a solution to my physical problems because I understood that it was the doctor who healed me without actually knowing that silently it is the same body that is responsible for healing itself, so I want to share this and  that can benefit you in some way.
4 months ago, I decided to study chiropractic in Sherman College of Chiropractic and my thinking changed dramatically.  Now I convinced myself that the body is wonderful to study because it is something that we physically carry every day and what better than to understand what is happening right now inside you.  One does not realize that one has the best days until one gets sick, and there one wants to be well again as before.  Chiropractic helps you optimize communication within your body, we are experts in looking for any misalignment (minimal or extreme), analyze it and make the best fit with the best technique so that your body begins to communicate better and increase your performance alone  and try to take it 100%.  This will give you many positive changes and will optimize your physical, mental condition and will make your body do things that it could never have done before.
I want to inspired you to be  a better person, to have  a better quality of life, and be free from misalignment. I want to served as a tool to get the out of any person. This is why I decided to chiropractic as my first alternative.

New challenge
I am going to tell my story. I took a path I never saw myself in. Two years ago I wouldn’t have imagine that I chose the best decision of my life. For starters, I studied nursing not knowing if I was going to like it. Before I started college, I had a phobia of blood, that was my number one obstacle to study nursing. I had my doubts if I could make it because of a simple fear, something that is very simple and common to see in the profession. Well, at the end I chose to study nursing because my mom told me I could have a lot of job options which not necessary I would have to work with blood.
Some people told me I wasn’t going to make it. I challenged myself to prove I was capable of doing the best I could. Time passed and my phobia faded away. Since the first year I had the opportunity to practice at hospitals. Helping patients made me realize how much I loved taking care of them. I discovered that helping people fulfills my heart because I saw the difference of how the patients were before and after I took care of them. I would see a big difference, receive smiles and a lot of gratitude from them. Since then, I realized it was my calling to help people feel better. Making other people happy makes me happy.
Learning about chiropractic was game changing. I chose chiropractic because I’m able to pursue what fulfills me. I get to work in the health field and the fact that I could help patients in a natural way it’s mind blowing. Before studying in Sherman College of Chiropractic, I thought that I was going to heal the patients but I was wrong. I learned that the body has its own innate intelligence; that intelligence has the ability to heal by itself. My work will consist of fixing a subluxation that’s putting pressure on a nerve and by doing that the body will function at its 100%. The goal is to help them heal faster, not help them feel better. I would love to educate the people from Puerto Rico and impact their life’s because not everyone knows about chiropractic. I was one of those people. I thought a chiropractor was a “back doctor” that just cracked your body. I want to teach them the philosophy, art and science of chiropractic. I put myself in the same challenge as in my undergrad. I want to prove myself I’m able to do many things, but mostly impact as many people as I can by educating and adjusting them.

New Post has been published on https://chiropratiquesillery.ca/maux-de-dos-et-relations-sexuelles-nos-meilleures-astuces/
Bonne Saint-Valentin!

U.S. Chiropractic Market is Projected To Witness Extensive Growth by 2025
The U.S. chiropractic market size is expected to reach USD 17.93 billion by 2025, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. The market is projected to witness a CAGR of 4.32% during the forecast period. Rising cases of back, shoulder, foot, neck pain, and headaches are driving the chiropractic market in the country. This is expected to help in revenue generation. Other factors such as increasing number of chiropractors in the country would help in the market growth. The majority of people suffering from lower back pain and other such issues initially seek help from a chiropractor.
This has resulted in healthy growth in the chiropractic practices. Furthermore, it has also exhibited steadily increasing acceptance by doctors, third-party payers, and the federal government apart from patients. These factors are expected to support the market expansion. As per the American Chiropractic Association, it is estimated that by 2020, there would be ~80,000 chiropractors in the country with an addition of over ~2500 new practitioners each year graduating from colleges. Chiropractors treat an approximate 35 million patients each year in the country, which has contributed to making the U.S. chiropractic industry a significant one.
Request Free Sample PDF of the research at: https://www.grandviewresearch.com/industry-analysis/us-chiropractic-market/request/rs1
Other key findings from the study suggest:
The market is driven by increasing number of patients seeking complementary medical treatments rather than approved medicine
Franchising offers a ready-source of marketing, financing, and awareness for a new entrant to establish a clinic. Moreover, it also helps the existing practitioners to expand their business
Authorization of different set of laws for chiropractic treatment is also supporting the U.S. chiropractic market growth. This encourages more chiropractors to set up businesses
There are currently 10,000 chiropractic students in 18 nationally accredited, doctoral graduate education programs for chiropractic therapy of which ~2500 will enter the workforce every year
In 2017, 95% of the past-year chiropractic users cited this therapy as an effective mode of treatment. Furthermore, 97% of the users have reported to visit chiropractors if they have back/neck pain
Some of the active institutes that offer chiropractic services in the U.S market are Magen David Community Center, Inc.; The Joint Corp.; Lbi Starbucks DC 3; Allied Health of Wisconsin, S.C., P.C.; Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic, Inc.; Chiropractic Strategies Group, Inc.; Chiro One Wellness Centers, LLC; Landmark Healthcare Services, Inc.; Parsons Gregory V Advanced Chiropractic Clinic; Silverman Chiropractic Center; Emergency Chiropractic PC; Multi-Specialty Healthcare Group, LLC.

Meet Angelica Larsen, a recent Spanish graduate from Lakeview, Michigan. Before leaving NMU, we asked Angelica a few questions about her Northern experience:
What are your plans after graduation?
Angelica: Plans after graduation are to attend Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina and get my Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
How has your time at NMU prepared you for your next chapter in life?
Angelica: Going to NMU was a good challenge for me because it pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me discover my own potential. I felt kind of awkward at first being the only pre-chiropractic Spanish major in big lecture halls of pre-med and biology majors, but I had awesome professors that made me work myself to my potential and encouraged me to take the unique route. Going to NMU was seriously the smartest life decision I have made so far. Also being a first-generation student was really hard, but NMU has really helpful “First-Gen” services. My NMU experience has made me even more excited to follow my dreams of being a Spanish speaking chiropractor that can break the language barrier and help kids one day.
Best of luck to our graduating Wildcats! We will miss you 💚💛
