i'm not that big of an alcal stan, i just like his character and if this does turn out to be true i'd be severely disappointed because he genuinely seemed like a nice part of the cast. i'm all for believing victims and have unfollowed him but the whole thing seems sus.

i did some digging and searched for tweets mentioning "keliykline" since they'd gone private, and j**** did tweet her a few times from what i could see. there's also someone else mentioning both j**** and keliykline in a tweet about making a gc.

to me it's not them being fan accounts that's the most shady- because i guess i can make sense of them meeting @ cons and forming a friendship and stuff. and the two accounts who tweeted DO seem familiar to me, like i've seen them on my timeline before (perhaps not the one with deleted tweets, i mean from their old suspended account). i have mutuals and mutuals of mutuals who have interacted with those accounts as well. to me it's shady that they're both 18 and seem to just be allowed to tweet this...? i'm not sure how old j is but she can't be too far from al** who's 30, right? it's weird to me that she would be "friends" with some teenagers she met at cons AND tell them something so personal like this AND give them permission to talk about it in public..? i'm barely 23 and talking to anyone under 19 about anything already feels kind of weird to me.

IDK. I really am neutral here until more information gets out. the whole thing is way too shady for me to take sides, i hope there's some clarity soon.

eh. I actually have a lot to say about this:

if I'm being honest with you? I generally am 95% over him. I don't hate him? but I don't have an over the moon love for him, on top of that I grew up. I really genuinely grew up as I was a stan and hardcore fan since I was teenager and now I'm nearly 30. A lot of you take my views on him very face value and seriously. I want him to succeed cause he did make an impact on my life in ways not traditional to how he's made an impact on you guys cause I could always objectively tell and see that he is a personality that never meshes with someone like me in real life or someone I'd be fit to date or take seriously if I ever met him or knew him in that dream world everyone has of celebrity what ifs games.

TBH I don't post my up & down opinions of him and not expect feedback cause that would be....weird or just stuck up not to expect that? but at the end of the day, it achieves nothing to me to point the behavior out. Am I going to physically cry over this? jump off a bridge and commit suicide? punch the air? delete the blog? idk. Maybe it's because I still vividly remember how things were during BB's rise and peak when communication across the board especially in fandom worship wasn't like this. I'm young but kinda old school? it just like okay, am I suppose to magically change my behavior?

the irony in what you and others are saying is, the extreme, very extremely unsettling IRONY is that a lot the fandom (this applies to all of us right now and in general) does not want to accept or realize if you think about it....not even trying to sound maniplative or strange when I say it...

but does my behavior on top NOT reflect top's own personality and behavior in terms of how he presents himself? how he acts? how he posts? how he communicates and conveys himself on social media as opposed to interviews? he seems fairly if not above average in clarity minus the manner in which he presents his views & feelings in interviews, but when you look at him from an extremely objective outsiders lense on his social & internet behavior, his behavior is no different than mine truly. I'm saying this as if I was not me and observing me acting like, well me, lmfao. Do you get it honey? Point blank, TOP does not make sense in general. I'm keeping personal feelings out of this, there is no one wrong or right definite consensus about TOP. I do not care what anyone says just like we don't have a solid consesus about beyonce or kanye or britney etc cause now more than ever music is dead and personal feelings about a star will override the facts. many people see zayn as a washed up bum with issues and he is defined as just that despite the fact gigi hadid wouldn't be where she is minus the nepotisim factor if he didn't put her on and in a kanye like self destruction, he elevated her past his own relevancy and merit, but zayn has talent where gigi just has work ethic and above average looks for the runway that work. you get it? with zayn he's a bum now by default but we cannot scrub the fact mind of mine was a solid album and he had literal potential to be where harry styles is if he didn't give up.

In hindsight, it's like that with TOP. Plus, everytime I TRY to move on from him, an anon brings me back in. So what. Anyways, tbh? I don't pay attention to him anymore, I found about the comeback through my phone notifcation recommendtions as well as an account I follow posting about it. I probably know of more beyonce stuff than TOP and I am not really a fan or major follower of bey.

So that's my take on this whole thing.

An admin is a reflection of the topic but....top...clearly as we know has been overcoming his mental health issues. We are stanning someone who isn't mentally well but is overcoming it in his own ways, even if it's confusing or "4D". Ask yourself if a random person who was not attractive or had any mysitque was just like TOP in real life and approached you? would you entertain that person? if yes, then keep at it. if no? then...yeah, you know the rest.

p.s didn't top say don't fucking follow me in his bio on his private account? he appreciates the fans photos and uses them sometimes, but does he NOT always notice a negative comment before the numerous positives cause he's numb to it? and did he NOT say he was done with korea and idol life? Just interesting to me, this is giving will smith slap teas where this whole thing even if it's organic in reaction, is a cover up for something more. A chunk of you will ride for top even if he were to post literal human shit on instagram, but don't dare send in recent asks discussing the fact literal REPORTS have circulated that he will be leaving YG and BB for good soon despite the comeback. So in retrospect, it's giving kanye right now. Instead a flood of asks focusing on discussing where his next path will take him and how we all feel about the elephant in the room being confirmed, it's now a direct discussion about my love hate relationship with TOP to cover up the fact he's LITERALLY LEAVING the damn group and the group is over with, period. Ri is out, TOP is leaving so late when he should have been left just strictly upon what;s right for himself & everyone involved, now we are truly down to 3 after this OT4 comeback.

I personally doubt they will carry on as 3 cause dae, tae and ri voices to me aren't exactly enough or a perfect blend to carry out a whole album or EP on it's own unless they blackpink they're way through i.e by just dropping singles. TOP is Korea's kanye whether you all want to accept it or not, only difference is one hit the camel's back at the expense of a rising sweetheart of the nation and the other hit the camel's back of the public's endurance with him by blowing the back out of a social climber groupie. I won't speak on will & jada incident cause it's too broad with racial elements at play, but it;s certain that Will's undying choice to stick with her despite the humilation it has caused even if he played a part in it has hurt his image. TOP willingly allowing a groupie too close ruined his image long term although his talent much like Kanye's will be there even if it's not the same. So trust, there are many out there like me who move on but have opinions on him cause he is not an average artist nor is he an average personality.

you can love him but don't tell me he exemplies the most perfect person when he isn't and you can love him for not being perfect as we all should for anyone we admire artistically, but don't shield him. Also p.s to other anons of past talks who used to get annoyed about the mark comments? if top was an american star he'd be high up in shawn mendes gay territory right now by the general public who isn't a fan or knows about him closely beyond his fame and general work that circulates on top40 radio. American tea outlets and blinds would be alledging they are lovers / sugar baby & sugar daddy, so let that sink in.

I've met many people over the years who's views and behavior align with the celebrity they hardcore stan or reflect the celebrity they stan. TOP is someone who dosent traditionally make sense, and neither does this blog. I bid you goodday with that.

Are 5sos racist/sexist/homophobic? I'm kinda new to this fandom and I saw all these horrible allegations and I'm just confused rn. And something about Arzaylea? I literally don't know her, but I do know that she dated Luke and cheated on him but apparently he did the same..? I'd really appreciate it if you could clear up this mess for a new members of the 5sosFam. If not, that's okay too! Thank you x

Welcome to the fandom! Let me clear some things up:

1. No 5sos are NOT racist/sexist/homophobic and if they were they apologized for it. (They were never homophobic) The thing is that they wrote those things when they were teenagers. I tell everyone this but growing up as a teenager in 2015 is very different compared to 2020. When they got called out for it, they went and apologized. Luke even deleted the tweet where he was racist and said that now that he’s educated he knows that’s not okay. 

Something I absolutely hate is when people go out of their way to dig up celebrities’ old tweets just to find a way to “cancel” them. Yes, they should obviously own up to their mistakes and apologize for what they said in the past but, people shouldn’t be stalking someone’s account just to find “drama” I guess. 

2. The whole Luke vs Asparagus drama has been long gone for awhile now. If you want Luke’s side of the story go watch the Lie To Me music video (My favorite 5sos video and one of my favorite songs). I hate talking about those two together because it was such a toxic relationship. Just know that whatever happened has passed and it has been since 2017 (Not 100% sure if it was 2017, I took a break from the 5sosfam during this time because the drama was too much)

Luke is now dating Sierra Deaton and he’s in a much better state. That’s all I’m going to say because his relationship isn’t my business. (SAME WITH MICHAEL’S)

Overall, this is my favorite band and they’ve helped me through the hardest times in life and I wouldn’t be here without them. I stay off of stan twitter because it almost ruined 5sos for me (fandom became too much)
