Buenos Aires prepara un gran 21k para el 27 de agosto

Fuente: CADA La prueba atlética internacional “21k de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires”, programada para el próximo domingo 27 de agosto, promete ser una de las más notables del historial por su masividad y, en el caso de la zona elite, por la calidad de sus participantes. Grandes figuras del atletismo de fondo –incluyendo la campeona mundial de maratón Ruth Chepngetich- se encuentran entre los inscriptos para la prueba. El cupo de los 23.000 participantes se completó hace dos semanas y esa gran concurrencia le dará nuevamente un clima de fiesta a la prueba que, esta vez y como señal de su nuevo circuito, se largará a las 7.00 en la Avenida Figueroa Alcorta y Dorrego, donde también estará el punto de llegada. Será así, nuevamente, el medio maratón más convocante de Latinoamérica y uno de los mayores a nivel mundial. El nuevo circuito, que ya cuenta con la certificación oficial de World Athletics (Federación Internacional de Atletismo) atravesará Palermo y toda la zona céntrica de Buenos Aires, es totalmente plano y su diseño favorecerá el mejor rendimiento de los participantes. La prueba –incluida en el calendario internacional de W.A. con la categoría de “Label Race”- también abarca el Campeonato Argentino de Medio Maratón, siendo fiscalizada por la Confederación Argentina de Atletismo y la Federación Atlética Metropolitana. Los atletas de Elite intentarán acercarse o superar los récords del 21k Buenos Aires, establecidos hace cuatro años por el keniata Bedan Karoki (59:05) en hombres y la etíope Ababel Brihane (1:07:44 en damas). Justamente ambos vuelven ahora a la prueba que, además de la citada Chepnetich (ganadora dos veces del maratón de Chicago) tendrá a veinte atletas africanos de primera línea, a los mejores sudamericanos (encabezados por el ecuatoriano Christian Vasconez) y a los más destacados de la actualidad argentina como Florencia Borelli en damas e Ignacio Erario en hombres. Entre los más destacados fondistas sudamericanos que participarán se encuentran los brasileños Ederson Vilela Pereira (campeón panamericano de 10 mil metros), Gustavo Barros de Jesús  y Altobeli Santos da Silva (finalista olímpico de obstáculos), los peruanos René Champi (ex campeón sudamericano de cross), Ferdinand Cereceda y Ulises Martin y el chileno Matías Silva. Borelli -quien el año pasado en esta prueba se convirtió en la primera fondista sudamericana en correr por debajo de 1h10- encabeza la participación argentina en damas junto a la maratonista olímpica Marcela Gómez, en tanto Erario es el líder 2023 en varones. El field anunciado en damas es uno de los más poderosos del historial de las carreras en Sudamérica, ya que cuenta con dos ex recordistas mundiales de la distancia: la citada Chepgnetich (quien marcó 1:04:02 en Estambul 2021) y Ababel Brihame (1h04:31 en el 2020). En total hay doce atletas con antecedentes debajo de 1h10, incluyendo allí a la ex ganadora del maratón de Boston, Sharon Jemutai Cherop, y a la etíope Ftaz Eray Bezabeh, quien este año marcó 1:06:04. En hombres, hay cinco con antecedentes debajo de 1h, liderados por Karoki (58:42 en 2018), su compatriota Felix Kipkoech (58:57 en 2021) y el también keniata Roncer Konga Kipkorir, quien este año corrió en 59:38. Otro keniata, Cosmas Mwangi Boi, tiene 59:40 este año y se incluye en el field al neocelandés Jake Robertson, quien entrena en Kenya y fue ganador del medio maratón de Houston. Su mejor marca es 59:58dh. La Expo, en la cual los participantes podrán retirar sus kits y números, se realizará en el Parque Sarmiento durante el jueves (10 a 18 hs), viernes (10 a 20 hs) y sábado (10 a 18 hs). Los participantes del medio maratón contarán con el apoyo de “pacers” que irán indican los ritmos de carrera (habrá para 4.30 m por kilómetro, 5 m., 5.30 m, 6.00 y 6.30 m. Los puestos de hidratación (agua e isotónica) y aprovisionamiento estarán en los kilómetros 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5 y en la llegada. Los que completen el recorrido recibirán sus “medallas finishers”, que surgieron de un diseño especial, realizado tras un concurso entre los alumnos de la Escuela Técnica Raggio. El alumno ganador de dicho concurso fue Luca Ezequiel Benasso, de 5° año/Gráficas. También se ha dispuesto un amplio dispositivo médico. La organización ha sido innovadora y proactiva en la atención médica y vuelve a contar con sus equipos de patinadores distribuidos a lo largo del circuito. Habrá 12 ambulancias y 12 motos equipadas con DEAs (desfibriladores externos automáticos) para desplazarse en caso de emergencias. Se montan 9 puestos de Primeros Auxilios y, en la zoina de llegada, una carpa médica con emergentólogos, cardiólogos, clínicos y enfermeros. También se montará un Shock Room para casos complejos –provisto por Emergencias- y una carpa de recuperación kinesiológica para esas lesiones que puedan ser tratadas por el equipo de kinesiólogos de Kynet sin necesidad de asistencia médica.  El corazón del plan de emergencias es el Centro de Coordinación de Emergencias, ubicado cerca de la largada/llegada. Desde allí, el director del plan de emergencias supervisará y coordinará todas las acciones. El 21k de Buenos Aires constituye la antesala del Maratón Internacional de la Ciudad que, también como parte del calendario internacional y con la participación de grandes figuras, se disputará el 24 de septiembre y sobre un nuevo circuito. Este 21k, organizado por la Asociación Ñandú, tiene el auspicio de Adidas junto a Turkish (transportador oficial), Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires y Clarín. Sharon Njeri Mwangi, the wife and mother of DJ Brownskin's children passed away in July last year. Video shows Kenyan musician filming as his wife drank poison and died in their children Video showing her last moments surfaced online on April 2. In the clip, DJ Brownskin, whose real name is Michael Macharia Njiri, is seen sitting and filming while his wife pours a poisonous substance in a cup and gulps it down. He's heard talking to her as she consumes the substance and, according to reports, he was goading her to drink the poison. After ingesting it, the wife then walks over to a three-seater cushion and lowers herself into it as the effect of the substance kicks in. At some point, the pain appears to become unbearable and the wife lowers herself to the ground and starts writhing in pain between her husband's legs, but he makes no move to get help for her. One of the couple's children is later seen handing the Mwangi a cup, said to contain milk, for her to drink. Sadly, the woman died.
