Scrying my Neopets as Flight Rising Dragons Day 4: StarCatcher the Halloween Uni

If any Neopet is proof that even if they're named the same, it doesn't mean they actually represent the character in any way, it's StarCatcher. I made her, named her after a My Little Pony toy my friend tricked me into giving her, so I made a Neopet to still "have" the toy.

And while I initially planned to have StarCatcher be a Faerie Uni - or perhaps White. . . really I wanted White with Faerie wings - I got a Halloween Paint Brush at one point, and I loved everything Lost Desert Plot and the Halloween Uni is based on the Nightsteed, so StarCatcher became Halloween. She started Yellow and was Glowing for a while - my first Painted pet, the Paint Brush won from the Fruit Machine.

Lore-wise she is a talking horse. She has a job transporting Neopets all over the Neopian globe, and she lets her family skip the line. While she looks scary, she's just as nice as any other Uni.

Her Flight Rising form had to be a Banescale because when I think Halloween Uni, I think fiery hooves, and the only Flight Rising gene that does anything like that is the Banescale-exclusive Wraith. I had a hard time deciding which color to use, since Wraith is monochromatic and the Neopet's hoof fire is not. I settled on Marigold as it felt like a compromise between the bright reds and yellows. Even Fire felt wrong.

I was surprised how close a match Swamp is to the Halloween Uni's main body color, and that made choosing it for the Primary and Secondary a no-brainer. Seraph for the wings was also easy due to the Uni's feathered wings. I looked at Banescale's various stripey genes and decided on Marble for the body as I feel it fits her best. It looks a bit oozy and undead in Swamp, but there's hearts in a few places, so it has a sort of My Little Pony cuteness.

While I'm going with Arcane with all my scries and usually use Arcane Common for the eyes, I decided to go with Glowing here because of that eerie red the Halloween Uni's eyes have.
