En nous rapprochant de lui, nous verrons nos craintes s’estomper. Nous devons également trouver un grand plaisir à ses commandements. Nous ne pouvons pas nous contenter de lire la Bible de temps en temps. Si nous voulons être libérés de la peur et des inquiétudes, nous devons trouver un grand plaisir dans sa Parole. Nous devons cacher les mots qu’elle contient dans notre cœur, les méditer et nous concentrer sur eux. Ils nous donnent stabilité, clarté et certitude. Troisièmement, nous devons avoir confiance en lui. Dans notre vie quotidienne, nous pouvons nous retrouver confrontés à des situations troublantes et à des personnes qui peuvent nous inquiéter. Nous devons comprendre que tout ce qui existe dans le monde est temporaire. Faire confiance à Dieu change notre attitude et nos perspectives, car lui ne change pas, et il est toujours avec nous. Ce style de vie nous libère de la peur et nous donne aussi un esprit généreux. Nous cessons de nous inquiéter et comprenons que Dieu nous a bénis pour que nous puissions bénir les autres. Nous pouvons être généreux, car nous savons qu’il pourvoit à nos besoins. Nous pouvons être confiants, notre cœur peut rester ferme. Lipman Architects Wins the Garage Screen 2022 Architectural Concept Competition

Garage Museum of Contemporary Art has announced the results of the third open competition to create a design concept for Garage Screen summer cinema. The 2022 summer pavilion will be designed by Lipman Architects (Moscow, Russia).

The project by LIPMAN ARCHITECTS is based on gabion mesh: the walls of the cinema will function as a load-bearing frame covered with metal mesh on both sides, the space between which will be filled with plastic water bottles. This design absorbs sound, allows air to pass through and refracts light. When the interior lighting is on, an unusual play of light is created in the pavilion thanks to the convex surface of the bottles.

“When we started work on the competition proposal we decided that our concept should be eco-friendly and that we should use recycled materials in the design of the pavilion. Throughout the working process we reflected on the intersections that exist between architecture, cinema, and life, eventually coming to the conclusion that they are united by temporality, cyclicality, and unpredictability. That is how the idea of creating a bottle pavilion that looks more like an image or a mirage than a real-life structure emerged,” comments Dmitry Lipman, founder of LIPMAN ARCHITECTS.

The competition received 118 applications.

The jury comprised Garage director Anton Belov, director of Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design and Strelka KB partner Varvara Melnikova, head of maintenance and construction at Garage Dmitry Konyakhin, Garage Screen curator Evgeny Gusyatinsky, founders of the 2019 competition winner snkh Ashot and Armine Snkhchyan, Head of Animation and Illustration at the Higher School of Economics and creator of graphic art and music videos Alexey Ryumin, and architectural historian and head of the project Moscow through the Eyes of an Engineer Ayrat Bagautdinov.

The competition was organized by consulting company Strelka KB.

Garage Museum of Contemporary Art is a place where people, art, and ideas can create history. Founded in 2008 by Dasha Zhukova and Roman Abramovich, Garage is the first philanthropic institution in Russia to create a comprehensive public mandate for contemporary art. Providing opportunities for dialogue, as well as the production of new work and ideas, the Museum’s extensive program of exhibitions, events, education, research, and publishing reflects current developments in Russian and international culture. Central to these activities is the Museum’s collection, which is the only public archive in the country related to the development of Russian contemporary art from the 1950s through to the present.

Strelka KB is a leading Russian company offering strategic consulting services in the field of urban development. Since 2013, Strelka KB helps cities develop their spaces, economies, management and technologies based on the demands of their residents.
