Ok so since the "get to know me" posts about my main ocs were mostly jokes (they wrote them themselves, you know😞), I'm making a more legit one with, you know, actually correct information this time. Actually, Ferdinand and Paola's intros were correct (though Paola is very talkative). Blue and Lux's were straight up shit posts (these guys are unreliable😔). So here it is:
Tumblr media
Ferdinand Le Gall
Born September 15th 2010 (currently 13).
He's about 5'1 and weighs 90 lbs. He's still a little baby.
He's noidea's bassist. He started playing it when he was about 5.
He does competitive swimming.
He has 3 cats: Keith, Shelley and Moz.
His mom is Russian-Ukrainian and Czech, while his dad is Russian-French. He has 5 siblings: an older sister, two younger sisters and two younger brothers.
His favorite food is strawberries and his favorite drink is apple juice.
He likes Franz Ferdinand (because his name's in it).
Tumblr media
Paola Julinha Ferreira Álvarez
Born March 7th 2009 (currently 14)
She's around 5'2 and 100lbs. She stopped growing when she was 12, much to her dismay. She still hopes she'll hit a growth spurt at some point, but it's not gonna happen.
She's noidea's vocalist and guitarist. She started singing when she was very little and picked up the guitar when she was about 10, due to her dad's encouragement.
She plays volleyball.
She has a German shepherd named Ponyo (named after her favorite Ghibli movie).
Both her parents are Portuguese. She has 3 older brothers.
Her favorite food is chocolate, especially chocolate muffins, and her favorite drink is coffee.
She likes Blink 182 because her older brother introduced her to their music when she was little.
Tumblr media
Blue (his real name is actually Noël Sébastien Morvan, but he absolutely hates it and will kill anyone who calls him that.)
Born March 5th 2008 (currently 15)
He's around 5'6 and 130lbs. He's always been on the shorter side, but he believes he'll grow taller eventually. Sorry buddy, but you stop growing now. That's it. You've reached your adult height.
He's noidea's guitarist and keyboardist. He picked up the piano on his own when his grandma gifted him a keyboard for his 11th birthday. Then, Lux helped him learn the guitar.
He's a very ambitious stoner.
He doesn't have any pets, but he vibes with the spiders in his room. He calls them Norbert.
His father is French (Breton to be precise) and his biological mother is Filipino (but he's never met her). He has an older brother.
His favorite food is galette saucisse and his favorite drink is monster, which he can't stop drinking.
He likes Operation Ivy because that was his brother's favorite band.
Tumblr media
Luxander Gaëtan Martial Hartmann (yes, Luxander is his real government name. What were his parents thinking??)
Born June 30th 2007 (currently 16)
He's around 6'1 and 115lbs. He was always a tall kid and the doctor told him he'd probably grow to be 7 feet tall, but he was severely underweight which might've stunted his development, so he stopped growing at like 14. He's not short by any stretch of the term, but he could've been way taller. He doesn't actually like being that tall due to the attention it brings him.
He's noidea's drummer. His aunt gave him piano lessons when he was little. He can also play the guitar. He decided to start playing the drums during lockdown in 2020 and ended up really liking it.
He likes drawing and writing little comics.
He has a pet ladybug named Maurice. He must've had 100s of Maurices throughout his life.
His father is Swiss and his mother is Vietnamese, but he was raised by his aunt. He's an only child, but he has two cousins he's close to.
His favorite food is bread and his favorite drink is water. He's a very picky eater.
He likes Parasitic Ejaculation (yes, it's a real band, look it up).

7 sentence WIP game
I was tagged by @stormxpadme to post 7 sentences for my current WIP. Thanks for the tag, darling!
(And for once, I actually have a WIP I can post from, that never happens!)
Rules: post 7 sentences from a wip and then tag 7 more
Travelling will take place on horseback, along with a régiment de cavalerie, and although he is not the most glamorous rider, Sébastien knows how to stay on a horseback. He’s tried it enough times to know how to handle them - even when he learns that the only horse available to him is a feisty Morvan horse. None of the horses from the Haras Nationaux will be lent out to him.
The stallion has been named “Robespierre” by Roederer, who had purchased it for draught work, but ended up having to let it go, due to its belligerent nature. Offering to Sébastien had been the least he could do, especially when he’d noticed how quiet the horse came to be in the hands of Sébastien.
“You will have to give him another name,” Marie-Thérèse says, the day before her departure from the Maison du Temple. Their destination is Bâle, in Switzerland.
A little excerpt of the next chapter of the Booker origins fic, which will update on Wednesday if all goes well <3
I’m tagging @ohmystarsy (because I know you’re working on something!), @solrosan, @alphaflyer, @hawksandspiders, and @cassiesinsanity :)

The 5th annual Philip K. Dick European Science Fiction Film Festival announces events in France and Germany
The Philip K. Dick European Science Fiction Film Festival has announced its full schedule for the fifth annual celebration spotlighting the brilliance of legendary novelist Philip K. Dick. Pushing the boundaries of storytelling through remarkable feature and short films and virtual reality, the festival will be held October 25-26 at L'Hybride and Inoui in Lille, France and November 1-2 at Film Club 813 e.V. in Cologne, Germany.
Tumblr media
This year's festival marks its fifth gathering in the locations of Lille and Cologne, both highly artistic meccas essential for the event's mission. "Europe has a long tradition of integral and psychological science fiction," said Daniel Abella, the founder and director of the festival. "Both Lille and Cologne have a rich cultural life and are popular areas for learning and appreciating this genre." The event will also commemorate its namesake by attributing his work as a reflection of modern society. "Philip K. Dick foresaw the aspects of technology to free and liberate us," said Abella. "If you look around at the technological advancements of our world, many of his stories have come to pass and the festival recognizes his vision. He understood that the fluid nature of reality and the lure of transhumanism is becoming a real phenomenon."

Vauban, Sébastien Le Prestre De
France's most noteworthy military architect the celebrated "taker of urban communities"– and a devoted local official of Louis XIV, Vauban barely has the right to be known as a researcher. Albeit made a privileged individual from the Royal Academy of Sciences in his advanced age, it was less for any logical achievements than for his since quite a while ago, gave, and complex administrations to France. He never separated himself in math or material science like Lazare Carnot or Coulomb, both prepared as military architects. Vauban was a viable man of little culture and meager logical preparing who was gifted in the utilization of straightforward math and calculation and the rudimentary standards of looking over and structural designing to fortress and siegecraft. Over all he had reach and adaptability of brain, sound judgment, and the propriety and knowledge that comes from long insight.
Vauban's family was of humble beginning public accountants and little shippers of Bazoches in the climatically rough Morvan. In the sixteenth century one individual from Vauban's family entered the lesser honorability through the acquisition of a little fief. Saint-Simon from his elevated social greatness considered Vauban a "petit gentilhomme de Bourgogne, promote au in addition to." Of Vauban's childhood little is known. From the outset he was educated by the town clergyman of St.- Léger-de-Fougeret, where he was brought into the world during the rule of Louis XIII and the organization of Cardinal Richelieu. At ten years old Vauban was shipped off the Carmelite collège of Semur-en-Auxois; here he obtained the basics of arithmetic, a sprinkling of history, and showed some ability for drafts-manship. In 1651, when he was seventeen, he entered upon his tactical profession as a cadet in the powers of Louis II de Bourbon, sovereign de Conde, then, at that point in disobedience to the ruler. Under Condé he served his apprenticeship by dealing with the strongholds of Clermont-en-Argonne.

FROM http://www.navigamus.info/2016/08/douarnenez-horta-solo-sous-le-signe-du.html

*John Donne, in. Sébastien Le Prestre, Marquis de Vauban, functioned at the support of Louis XIV for over 50 decades, building a name for himself throughout the citadels and strongholds constructed to safeguard the kingdom according to his aims. He had been a tireless person of activity and is also famous for his writings, which have been frequently rebellious.
Vauban was born into a family of lesser nobility in the Morvan area, and was fast to differentiate himself during the excellent sieges that punctuated this century of war that was hierarchical. His successes throughout the Franco-Dutch war won the favour of the King himselfwho afterwards bestowed his hope on him and rewarded him with a unique bonus that enabled him to buy the name of lord Bazoches.
After getting Commissioner General of Fortifications at 1678, Vauban realized that which he had, in his words, informed at the attention of Louis XIV:"to indicate his land". He guaranteed the kingdom's security through the building of citadels and strongholds, and specifically along the most exposed edge in the north-east. His amazing ability to adapt to the regional lay of this land allowed him to develop exceptional masterpieces of military design, together with the stronghold of Neuf-Brisach being among the best examples. A theorist of the art of sieges and subsequently of fortifications depending on the gathering of compounds, Vauban was in the root of their engineers' corps responsible for the Army's infrastructures, which still functions now not far from the Palace of Versailles.
He was interested in everything, and delivered memos back into the King on many different subjects which range from international politics and taxation to the hazards of this revocation of the Edict of Nantes. He had been made Maréchal at 1703 and set about collecting together and finishing his writings, endeavouring specifically to denounce the terrific poverty of some people suffering from war, brutal winters and famine.
