hi!! idk if you've mentioned it before, but are u under the same impression that eddie would have a calleb followill (the kings of leon singer) voice as the rest of . tiktok jdksksksk or do u think he'd sound more rough and gruff?? beautiful universe uve created btw <3
okay so i’m like not super familiar with kings of leon??? so i can’t speak to how he is as a vocalist with confidence and how he’d fit into my own mental image of eddie in this story.
one of the things i thought about for him, though, is that he really played with his own sound — like, from album to album, and not just instrumentally, but with his own vocal range. part of that is just quinn’s own vocal range — brits tend to have a MUCH larger range than americans do, just in terms of the octaves they hit in daily speech, it’s just more musical than your average american — and so i assumed that if he sang he’d be activating similarly, if that makes sense. also, i think eddie would love a falsetto moment, and employ it frequently, so there’s that too. i feel like he’d get some gravelly moments here and there, especially when he’s getting into storytelling moments, but i love the idea of him also having like these beautifully clear, just pure singing moments too.
here are the main artists that i was imagining while writing: marc bolan (t.rex, of course), layne staley (alice in chains), chris cornell (soundgarden), vaden todd lewis (toadies), evan dando (lemonheads), royston langdon (spacehog), and travis warren (blind melon).
(also you know how ariana grande can mimic so many different female vocalists and just goddamn nail it? i think my version of eddie, grunge-metal-rock star, can do a similar thing. so please take a moment to imagine mr ed levy, circa 1994 + “the place beyond the quarry” era, appearing on snl and doing some sketch where he has to do a series of impressions of famous rockers from the 70s and 80s, as well as an eddie vedder one, while his government handlers look on with gritted teeth.)

Episode 276: Royston Langdon (of Spacehog, Leeds)
Tumblr media
“Music doesn’t happen when you try really hard,” Royston Langdon explains, toward the tail end of our conversation. “Keith Richards didn’t write the riff for ‘Satisfaction’ while he was concentrating.”
Everything’s Dandy, his debut record under the moniker Leeds, finds the former Spacehog frontman in a more reflective space. He’s mellowed, it seems, since those heady days of mid-90s New York City. He got married, had a kid, the band broke up a couple of times in the interim.
And while songwriting has been a kind of constant in his life since the age of 12, Langdon explains that art isn’t something you can force. It’s a kind of quiet acceptance of all that life has thrown at him — for better and worse — that has informed both his music and general state of mind.

Adrian Belew is a Star, Man
- Video from Celebrating David Bowie features Belew on “Starman”
Adrian Belew has an uncanny way with David Bowie numbers.
That is likely on account of the fact Belew did the entire Sound + Vision tour with Bowie. Plus he’s a super-human talent. But whatever the reason, Belew is the ideal guy to play 12-string guitar and sing “Starman” now that Bowie is gone.
The evidence is all there is a video from the Oct. 6 Celebrating David Bowie gig in California, which Belew just released. And while that’s the good news, the less-good news is it’s fan-shot, which seems to indicate the tour - also featuring Scrote, Angelo Moore, Todd Rundgren and Royston Langdon - is not being professionally documented.
That’s a humongous miscalculation, because Celebrating David Bowie is better than it has any right to be. But don’t take my word for it - check this video and read Sound Bites’ review of the Akron, Ohio, stop for proof.
OK, do take my word for it.

every time i see 'quinton griggs' it takes me a moment to recognize that it's someone's actual name and not just a funny combo of words or like a character from the musical Cats. it's royston langdon all over again...
has anyone else noticed that quinton griggs looks vaguely like an airbrushed chiseled e-influencer version of dirty and is also southern and also has a bad stomach script tattoo. its the bad stomach tattoo that really sells this for me as uncanny valley and not the product of my own delusions

Girlfriend
Liv Rundgren Tyler [01.07.77]
Born as Liv Rundgren in 1977, Liv Tyler is the daughter of model Bebe Buell and Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler. Due to Tyler’s struggles with drug addiction at the time, Buell decided to name Todd Rundgren as Liv’s father. Rundgren and Buell were in an on-again-off-again relationship from 1972 to 1979, and together they raised Liv during her early childhood. At age eleven, Liv was thrilled to find out that her biological father was Tyler. They developed a close relationship, and Liv has three half-siblings: Mia Tyler (from Tyler’s marriage to Cyrinda Foxe), Chelsea Tallarico, and Taj Tallarico. In 1991, Liv changed her last name from Rundgren to Tyler, revealing the truth about Tyler’s paternity to the public. She kept Rundgren as her middle name, and considers Rundgren as her father also.
Paulina Porizkova photographed Liv when she was fourteen, and advised the young girl to give modelling a try. Liv became a model and appeared in magazines and television commercials. She didn’t find the modelling career too amusing, and a year later, decided to become an actress. She made her acting debut in 1994’s Silent Fall. Other notable roles from that time include Empire Records (1995), Heavy (1996), Stealing Beauty (1996), That Thing You Do! (1996), and Armageddon (1998). By the end of the nineties, Liv had established herself as one of the most promising young actresses in Hollywood. She also starred in the music video for the Aerosmith songs Crazy (along with Alicia Silverstone, 1994) and I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing (from the soundtrack of Armageddon, 1998). In 2001, Liv gained her most successful role as the Elf maiden Arwen Undómiel in Lord of the Rings. She reprised the role in two more movies of the series. She gained further recognition for The Strangers (2006) and The Incredible Hulk (2008). Most recently, Liv was seen on television in the HBO series The Leftovers (2014–2017).
Liv was in a relationship with fellow actor Joaquin Phoenix from 1995 to 1998. In 1998, she began dating British musician Royston Langdon. They were married from 2003 to 2008, and their son Milo Langdon was born in 2004. Liv is currently married to entertainment manager David Gardner, with whom she has two children, Sailor Gene (born 2015) and Lula Rose (born 2016). In 2007, Liv along with her mother Bebe Buell and grandmother Dorothea Johnson helped launch the Emergen-C Pink energy drink for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
“For me, I didn't get much of a childhood in my teen years because I've been working since I was 14. But that also kept me out of trouble. When everybody was doing acid and partying like crazy, I was at work on a movie in Tuscany... Having my own fun, of course, but it was a different kind of thing. I have no regrets. I love the way my life has gone.”
