Building the boxes to put the projectors in was a stressful and over complicated process. The wood used was a 16mm thickness, in the size 1800 x 2400 mm for 15.50 each collection of wood pieces.

First of all, I measured the projectors and estimated the size that would fit them, plus a powerboard and a media centre, inside. I then decided (after a talk with Chris) to use wood as the material. Anyway, so I set out to my local Bunnings to get it cut. After ten minutes of waiting, they told me the panel saw (what they use to cut the wood) was broken. So I ended up messaging my friend who worked at a further away Bunnings (30-40 min drive) to ask if he could cut the wood for me. So I drove there, he cut the wood for one box (as I wanted to test it first before buying all of the wood), and then I nailed it all together later. After finding it worked perfectly, I went back to his Bunnings only to see his message too late that the panel saw there had broken twenty minutes before I got there... SO I ventured BACK to my local Bunnings, to get the wood cut. I got there, went to ask where the wood I wanted was, and the man showed me a bigger piece of wood for $24 (9 dollars more than the first box). I was like, fine, and gave him the measurements that I needed. He told me he was unable to match those measurements, as he needed more than 30 cm each side to use the saw. This is after getting it cut easily by my friend at the further away Bunnings. The next free day I had, I found the piece of wood I had used online, called up the next closest Bunnings in Rocklea, and then had them see if they had it in stock. I also asked if they could cut the specific measurements I wanted and they said yes (FINALLY). So I hop over there asap (the panel saw breaking before I got there, now a very real fear of mine), and get it cut. I return home, nail it together, only to realise one piece is much more off than the other pieces, with 25 cm of it sticking out. I then drive BACK to my local Bunnings, buy a saw because I couldn’t find one, and then return, cut it off, and paint them black so they blend in better with the darkness.

My box drama was overly complicated, and I have learnt many things about Bunnings and panel saws. However, I managed to make two sturdy MDF boxes that fit my projectors well.
