Reymund Valentinas Brainrot
My brain currently fixated on this child again this morning and I want to fact-dump some more while he STILL doesn't have a debut fic, unlike his brother. >:(
-If you've ever wanted to get a clearer picture of the kind of life and relationships Apollo and Rey had, not just as siblings but in relation to their parents, just look at all of the flashbacks that Tahani has of her sister and herself in The Good Place. Envision that as Apollo. You'll see why he's always at ends with Rey.
-Reymund went through interesting phases through his childhood. Yes, he did have his major emo phase that Apollo checked out of, and that did have a hand in his music taste, but remember that he was also a stupidly affluent kid growing up, and everything he was into had to have a sense of tastefulness to it the likes a good aesthetic should have. What I'm saying is that his emo phase was less about grunge and more about marrying victorian goth to a Renessaince Depression.
-Since his breaking away from home and going full musical career, Rey's done some pretty impressive stuff for what was essentially a kid. Among those things was break out of a lot of previously daunting 'norms' of a successful musical artist, including the themes that reached his songs, which were almost exclusively never directly about romantic love.
-Ironically - and discovered completely by accident - Reymund and Jackson Storm are the same age, both born in the year 1991. Though, Rey is still quite a bit younger, given he was born on December 4th.
-When the name "Reyzor C" became big in the music industry, a lot of people were of course wondering what the C was there to stand for. They could make the connection of Reymund to Reyzor, but his last name was Valentinas; where's the C? Well it comes out of his middle name, Christian. Yup, his name is Reymund Christian Valentinas.
-He has aquired more music-note tattoos over the years in various locations along his body (or paint, depending on the style you use). However, most all of them are tiny, aside from his one main tattoo featured on his left outer thigh (or in the WoC, his left flank)
-You can tell the age of the albums he's created based on the length of his hair; when he started out, he had a very short asymmetrical cut going on. Over the years though, the left side of his hair has continuously been left to grow longer.
-Tell NOBODY that his nosering was inspired by Apollo getting a tongue piercing. He wanted one too and just didn't want to be called out for copying, so he just chose a piercing on a different part of the body and called it a day.
-Although Rey identifies securely as a cis male, his fashion sense is nigh short of Harry Styles levels of gender-fuckery. Heels? 100%. Flowing floral tops? You know it. Jewelry? Absolutely, the more the merrier. So long as it fits that aesthetic they're trying to capture, Reymund has enjoyed wearing a whole myriad of different styles.
-A lot of his more recent anxiety problems have been spiked further not just from the constant pressure to write specific genres of songs, but also because of the recent retirement of his absolute favorite makeup artist who's walked him through the mass majority of his weariness. Saga - who you might remember from here - has been a pillar in his career and personal life, and though she's no longer working now, they've remained in touch. (Funny how that circle comes around, ain't it?)
-Few times have Rey and Apollo actually seen eye-to-eye on matters, but when they do, it's a very heartwarming sibling moment. One of the most notable was Rey's first Pride Parade experience. He was really anxious the majority of the time, so Apollo (who'd gone with him for the sake of nerves) tried to comfort him in what ways he could, and ice cream seemed like a good bet. Vegan, of course, though. He knows his preferences. (side note I added the "I forgot about posting this for Pride until it was long after the month of Pride" comic strip OF this occurance)
-Ironically, you can almost always tell when they're standing next to each other that Apollo and Rey are siblings. They're the same height, the same hair color and usually same style, they're both thin and lanky, pale-skinned, their eye color is pretty close to one another (Rey's a little more green and Apollo's a little more hazel) and even a lot of their speaking tone and mannerisms are strikingly similar. It's a shame they've clashed so much over their lives, they could make an awesome duo business together.
M'kay that's my brainrot for now, danke for listening in because my God I wanna get this poor child off the ground and into a fic, and it's IN the process of being written, I'm just working on like 40+ WiPs again as per usual. But enjoy nonetheless!

A WoC Timeline - as of 7/27/23
Bit of overview, this is the current-day most accurate timeline of events that I have regarding these characers, which INCLUDES birth years, important life events, death dates if applicable, and a handful of story placements for both canonical and original characters. This does get updated in its official document now and again but given the fact that I've had and been building on this one for the last several months, I think this is the most solid thing I've got right now for storyline.
Little warning for the possibility of some spoiler information, though I'm pretty confident most of this has been reiterated at least somewhere in my history once before (ie certain OCs, specific things that happen, yada yada)

Why is Rey vegan,is apollo vegan?
This is a good question, and to be honest I could answer the latter faster than I could the former. Reymund is vegan, but no, Apollo isn't. He's considered it to be fair, but I think he prefers keeping his food options wide and virtually limitless given his love of travel and trying new things. (also the ribs they sell in Honkers is amazing but don't tell Rey or he'd kill him)
As for why Reymund is, I'm actually not 100% sure? I have a feeling it's probably for a variety of reasons, beyond just the general "don't kill animals and eat them" thing. It might be for more dietary reasons, ie general health related things. Haven't delved into it too much but I'd say probably a mix!

Alrighty, in order here:
Clutch probably can, though I can't say that she'd have done so too recently. She's definitely into trying a lot of new experiences, moreso from highschool/college years than anything, but even now if given the chance she'd go and do it. Who knows, maybe she'll need to get really good at it for a cosplay, who's to say.
The Blade question actually has me wondering. Originally, my answer was gonna be good luck getting him to perform them. I mean, for health's sake and staying fit for work, he totally *could*, but it was a matter of would he. And then, I remembered that Blade Ranger featurette lost to the internet void that people were talking about recently, and there's something rather interesting going on in that scene: Blade has quite a few flight scenes in there showing off some pretty neat moves, for a helicopter. So, almost canonically in that case, he does. So my thought process on it is, maybe he doesn't show off that he still can, exactly, but rather he still does them because it makes him kinda happy just to know, personally, that he can still do it. Like a part of the skillsets he had during CHoPs is still with him today.
For Dipper, she does, but additionally she isn't the only one on the base who does >:3 I think I've mentioned before the idea that she and Windlifter are kinda close friends, and they share interests a lot, especially after she introduced him to fanfiction, and well, now they enjoy astrology together too. Cabbie will be out looking for satellites while they're out looking for stars. Nighttime on the base is so peaceful like that <3 (until you remember Blade's just got his nose in a pile of work)
Ahhh I shall! I already miss talking about lil' bebe Rey, I must add more! I'm actually probably going to dedicate an entire post to him, so I can make the most of his headcanons (well...canon, cuz, he-he's an OC...I forgot I'm God sometimes lol)
But just for the futurem Rey IS getting a story! Eventually!!! It's in the docs somewhere waiting for me to work on it! You'll get to see Rey, Apollo, Dusty...another bad-tempered character you'll get to see more of...it's gonna be fun!

Some light headcanons, not organized or anything. Also the last one is gold.
Windlifter and Cabbie have a "friendly" competition between each other in regards to weightlifting. The team used to think Wind just enjoyed his lengthy workouts. In reality, he's been trying to get an edge on the ex-military man for years. He's come very close to beating him before, just not close enough...
Talk like a pirate day (yes it's a thing) is very popular with boats and ships, who often gather in the harbors for it. Often they trade off personal stories in pirate talk, and some even do historical reenactments. Not too many other vehicles are aware of the festivities unless they live nearby, or work around vessels. It's kinda their own thing, in a way.
Apollo and Rey Valentinas (my OCs and babies lol) are complete polar opposites of each other, down to their aesthetics and themes. Apollo prefers very light main colors and pastels, and loves earthy vibes and aquatic themes. He's all water lilies and Koi fish. The famed Reyzor C, meanwhile, prefers dark and muted colors, astrological themes (especially the moon) and has an eye for dark academia. It's rare to find him without some kind of moon or star accessory.
Dipper introduced Windlifter to the world of fanfiction ever so recently. He'd been engrossed in a few book series and she pulled up fanfic on it, and after gentle hesitation, Wind found himself sucked into the realm as well. Dipper still doesn't know the new series popping up for that fandom was written by the man. He intends to keep it that way.

Oh yes the Baby Rey, I've many things on Rey XP
-Since childhood, Rey grew up wanting to play music, and chose stringed instruments like the guitar for the most part (trying to get away from Apollo, who learned piano as a kid). This is a piece of their childhood that Jackal and I are writing a fic on currently XP
-He was the preppy art kid growing up, so he was very into fine arts. Though, he's not one for minimalism. He prefers abstracts and expressionism, things that clearly tell a very specific feeling. Because he's a feely person.
-He had gauges for a while because of Apollo, but he doesn't admit it and won't go back to them. He does still have a nose ring though, and he keeps talking about doing something with his eyebrows.
-Big fan of oversized sweaters and shorts, he has too many of them and wanders around the house with them while coming up with ideas
-While Apollo is an all-day goer, Rey is very laid back and lounges alone most of the time, writing songs or plucking instruments for ideas, or just watching Animal Planet.
-Speaking of Animal Planet, he's done several charities to preserve wildlife and assist endangered species.
-He loves France and has wanted to move there for years, so he's been learning French and he's almost fluent in it, close enough to be

Can't remember if I ever posted this lol. This is VERY rough for the sake of throwing colors and themes at the wall to get an idea what I'm going for, but this is Reymund Valentinas, singer and songwriter, and younger brother to Apollo.
His model aircraft is the Searey, a plane extremely similar in design to the Icon A5 that Apollo is
He has two albums that I've got the song titles written down somewhere. His debut album is titled "Artificial"
Kind of an alternative genre singer? Honestly the more I design him the more he becomes Conan Gray, so just assume his music is like that.
Newly discovered aromantic asexual (and this will be important in an up and coming fic focusing on him and Apollo)
Obsessed with astrology and stars, pretty much lives for the aesthetic
Sagittarius, haven't decided on an actual birfdate yet. It's probably on the December side, though.
In case I don't mention this in that upcoming fic: with help from friends I finally created their parents: Ruben and Sandra Valentinas. And they're of mixed race, but the majority of their family is Columbian. Need to do more with this eventually but they've got names and nationalities at least!

Some Ideas: Rey & his Music Albums
Pre-note: these were generated by an ai (I honestly forget which sites, because I scrolled through a few of those free ones)
Also, this is for an OC and they're not really albums, as badly as I wish they were (I mean unless someone can make music really well lol)
I wanted to create a few "aesthetics" and random ideas to use as album covers for Reyzor C's music. I'm planning to probably either recreate these images as my own art (and I do mean literally, from-the-ground-up on FireAlpaca recreate) or splice them together with other things and do some heavy-ass personal tweaking to make it into. Well. What I want it to be.
I've actually gone so far in giving Rey's musical career life as to create three full lists of song titles for all of his albums, so all of these images are connected - either to the albums themselves or to the titles (and don't ask why some of them are what they are, man, just, lemme drown in my aesthetic juice okay?)
For his first album, "Artificial", I had a few cover ideas, but this one feels like the most fitting:

I do have a pic I could fit in with Breather though since it feels somewhat in line with it. Please ignore that this bird is missing half a leg. Or don't, maybe it's meant to.
Next is the album cover idea behind his second one, "Pedestal", which I won't lie to you I debated as being the cover for Artificial, but I like them this way just a teeny bit more. This image has a nice lighting and retro vibe to it. Like an 80's roller skating rink floor.

I actually tried to get some decent ai photos for Vending Machine, but unfortunately they never felt quite right - usually the ai put it in the middle of a walkway and it was just kinda awkward so, eh. This was the best I was able to do with it:
I thought that this one was really neat, and kinda trippy. It looks like it belong in a Melanie Martinez song (which like, not complaining here, but yknow). It'd probably fit best with Escapism.
I think Don't Kiss Me Goodbye, whether Rey wanted it to be or not, would be his swan song, that thing he's best known for. And this may not be the cleanest fit (actually it's one of the weakest) for an art cover with that song, but I think that catches the fact that this was an afterthought song Rey didn't think was gonna blow up.
Honestly not sure where this one would fit best, as it's more of an idea for the cover of Artificial that I just wanted to keep because I like the theme and the vibe it emits. Might go well with Trial, it feels kind of dangerous-y and on the edge.
Next up is the third and most recently constructed album titles, and that is "Gravesinger" - does it feel like Rey's songs have a line of evolution yet? Cuz I was going for that.

Corpse is probably one of those songs that's way lighter and more whimsical than the title lets on, so I want to pair it with this image of a knight and flowers to give that vibe of something quietly rotting away.
Now. Pie was one of those names I just...I just wanted it, okay? For personal silly reasons I wanted it. And I did make a matching personal silly prompt:

I think I like the second one better but the first one is still very fun.
Then there's Memory Lane, which I wanted to put this cool ocean wave picture on, since it feels similar to that retro vibe from the previous two albums (I think I used the same bot base "style" iirc)
Being the last song in his last (presumable) album, Seafoam is likely a song of Rey's response to the resounding success that was Don't Kiss Me Goodbye and his own mixed emotions surrounding it. As such, their covers are similar.
Aaaaand that's all I managed to get in, but I might go back and make more of these to slap on the song titles. Hell, maybe I'll even make the lyrics for them one day. Or figure out how to make music on the computer, idk. That's probably kind of a stretch given I know jack shit of music. Oh well.

Just being curious, but what type of drink does Rey commonly drink if he’s in a care or something?
Well right off the bat I think Rey is extremely bias to hot teas; green tea, chamomile tea, all the teas. I also think he'd be super into boba and fruit smoothies.
