Nathaniel (OOC): [in chat] could we find a scry spell instead? Tark: This is gonna sound bad, not enough terrible things have happened to warrant calling in a favor from, *sees chat* (OOC): Yeah, I think if I only go up one more level I will have a scry. I'm trying to figure that out right now. Eudora: The reason I wanna do it now 'cause I've been holdin' onto this, I've been thinkin' about it for a while. I'm tryin' to figure out if I should just tell this priestess everythin' Moriarty (OOC): [in chat] teleporting Jasper to us? good use of favor. just eyeballing him? I don't know. Eudora: If it's at a point where we need to be gatherin' some kind of ally. Tark: Do you think it would be, from how things are coming down the pipeline, it looks like we might be having to go up against some pretty hard hitters with the backing of gods. DM: [in chat] Hmmmm okay might not resolve this tonight then Tark: That using this favor to check on Jasper is better than saving it for a just in casies later on? If you say yes, let's do it. Let's snap that twig right now. Hunt: And rather than just see what he's doing, do you think that it could be possible that we just open a line of communication temporarily, but as well as seeing what he's doing but also speaking to him. Try to get his side of things. Tark: Bring him to us? Hunt: Well I wasn't exactly saying 'bring him to us' more like... Tark: Why not? Could they do it? Eudora: My concern is there is we don't know what state he's in, Hunt: Mm-hmm. Eudora: Or what defenses there might be attached to him at this point. Tark: Okay, then let's do it. Let's do it. Let's snap the twig. Eudora: You're saying let's do it to talkin' to him? Or scryin' on him? I'm so confused at this point. Hunt: I was saying both talk and see what he's doing, that way we're blind. Tark: Like open, Hunt: 'Cause we don't know if we ask to see, that it's going to just let you see and not hear anything. Just trying to cover senses. Tark: Or at least give me a way that I can then do Sending with him. (OOC): Or Scry on him later, but I need some type of connection with him so I can do that later on. And even doing Sending, I would have to know. So at least if we do that, we could at least open a line of communication and try and figure out what the fuck's going on with him. So if they can do that... I mean we're gonna have to ask them, obviously, that's something they can accomplish, but yeah. That would be a good use of a favor. DM: Might have to cut this short actually, 'cause that was longer a discussion than I realize and Crow needs to go. Eudora: So I'm kind of thinking we should hold off until the next time to actually do the favor. Tark (OOC): yeah. DM: But are you going to snap the twig? Eudora: Eudora's gonna snap this fucking twig. DM: And that is our [something]. That as we see Eudora look at the twig in her hands, give it a thought, crack and we will pick up next time.

DM: If there's anything else, you got a couple more days till you get to the next town, we'll arrive there and do the pass off next time, but just to get an idea of where you're at and what you're planning to do next. Eudora: I think along the way before, probably pretty soon while Vanessa is holed up in the carriage. Eudora wants to call in a favor. DM & Hunt (OOC): Oh. Tark (OOC): Oh shit. Moriarty (OOC): Hello? Tark (OOC): Eudora. Hunt (OOC): Oh no! DM: Okay. Nathaniel (OOC): Oh, I see. Moriarty (OOC): What are you doing? Nathaniel (OOC): Okay. Hunt (OOC): oh no Tark (OOC): Get it gurl. Eudora (OOC): I don't think we wanna do that tonight. DM: We can end on that 'cause I can give you what you want right now. If you would like to do that. Eudora (OOC): Okay. (IC): Okay, so I think when we stop to camp. DM: This is a good end scene. Eudora: Eudora is going to Tark and Hunt to come with her. Tark: Yep. Hunt: Okay. Tark: Tark's ride or die. Let's go! Hunt (OOC): If this is what I think it is, Hunt's going to fucking hate you. If this is the freaking Knave of Hearts. Moriarty (OOC): Hunt will be big angry. Eudora: A little ways away from the rest of the camp, what was it that Eudora received from the Knave. DM: It was a small branch that you can snap and they would know to appear. Eudora: Okay. *pauses to jot down a note* Hunt (OOC): Question; did Vanessa try to follow us? DM: No, she's, no she's acquiesced that she got her ass wrecked by a dragon. Tark (OOC): She does not want to be used as a chew toy again. DM: No. She has acquiesced, she's like 'I'm just gonna stay in the carriage. Whatever they need to do, they'll do.' Hunt (OOC): Okay. DM: 'I'm alive now and the dragons are gone. I can only assume...' Tark (OOC): that we killed them or... DM: Something, yeah. Hunt (OOC): Until she starts causing shit again. DM: Right. Eudora? Eudora: So Eudora is going to pull out the branch. Tark (OOC): Is this the same night or later? Like a day later? Eudora (OOC): Probably the same night 'cause it's fresh on her mind and she doesn't wanna overthink it anymore than she already has. Tark (OOC): Got it. Eudora: So she's gonna show it to them. "So I think it might be time to call in this favor." Tark: What would you ask for? Eudora: I wanna see what Jasper's doin'. Hunt: Hmm. Eudora: I think if I try to have him brought her or have us brought to him, that it end up probably causin' a whole lot a trouble that we're not ready for. But seein' what he's doin' might give us somethin'. Tark: I don't... I don't think that that is the best use for the favor. It's important to kind of know what he's doing, I agree but I don't think it's a dire enough situation to warrant calling in this favor. I'll back you up if you wanna do it, I just don't know if it's the right time. Eudora: I don't think we're gonna know when it's the right time. Hunt: Yeah, if we keep waiting for the right time, it's never going to come 'cause we're always wondering. Tark: I just think not

Marigold: Were the prayers just doing murders? Vanessa: Basically. I imagine she was also grabbing for more power by, you know, taking lives, sacrifice to herself. Tark: Ohh. Vanessa: Loophole, you pretend that it was from someone else. They ask for this to stop and you take away the cause. Tark: Hmm. Vanessa: Fear is faith as much as love. Tark: You think actually destroying all of the Shrines of Appeasement is actually going to stop? Vanessa: I hope it is going to slow. Well-meaning people who don't understand what's going on or know what's going on aren't bolstering her unintentionally. It's why I purified the offerings before we destroyed the shrine, rededicated them to the Crown. Eudora: Well I suppose I can see why she's upset with you. DM: Vanessa just kind of gives you a look of like 'Yeah, no shit.' She doesn't want to say it. Tark (OOC): Yeah. Eudora: Eudora's saying 'no shit' to herself. Vanessa: So if any of you know anything that can help me, that would be much obliged. I have been as forthright with you as I can be. Tark: We just know the name 'Vedephaen' and that's about it. That's as far as we've gotten. (OOC): 'Cause technically, that is as far as we've gotten. DM: True. Eudora (OOC): Yeah. DM: She'll still very carefully reach back into her bag and pull out her own notebook and prop it open and write it down. Tark: Gel pen? Vanessa: I'm fine. Tark: Suit yourself. Vanessa: What do you know of this Vedephaen? Perhaps I can bring it back to the higher-ups of the temple and see if they have records. Tark: Well, that's a problem. Eudora: Practically nothin', unfortunately. Tark: It was a name that... Vanessa: Under what context? Tark (OOC): Do we remember? I don't think I remember. Eudora (OOC): I looked it up. I think... Hunt (OOC): You were talking to the dead banshees, they were saying Jasper was calling for Vedephaen. Eudora: I'm just trying to figure out how Eudora's gonna phrase this. Tark (OOC): Just out of character, I mean, we could just say we heard it from some dead people. Eudora (OOC): Well yeah, but I wanna give her a little bit more than that just without [something] Jasper. Tark (OOC): Okay okay okay. Eudora: We were investigatin' a sacrifice of sorts that was made to bind a couple spirits to a place. Tark: Didn't even seem to have anything to do with, (OOC): This is out of character, wasn't the ruins, wasn't it about the... to like bind protect something there? DM: They were meant to keep people out of the ruins of the tower. Tark (OOC): Which was where we found... DM: The writing on the walls. Tark (OOC): Yeah. -going over what connections we made and what Tark knows- Eudora: So I think jsut to be clear on what Eudora is telling Vanessa right now. I think she is just going to say that we were on a job that involved this ritual, binding these two spirits to guard the place and that we managed, eventually, to speak with the spirits and they said that the person who bound them kept saying this name. Tark: But we weren't sure whether or not they were reading the name off of the walls     or if they were doing it in service of this particular entity or whatever. Vanessa: Okay Tark: But we've been trying to find out more about this name and bupkis, my guy. Bupkis. Vanessa: I'll will take it back to the Cathedral and I will see if anything is known. Tark: Who else would know 'cause... hmm... (OOC): I don't think it would be a good idea if Tark reached out again to the temple being like 'Hey, I found this name' they're gonna be like 'Jesus Christ, what are you doing?!' if they do know anything. 'You're asking sus questions about necromancy and now you're asking about this.' Hunt (OOC): Like 'Do we need to put this name on a blacklist?' Tark (OOC): Oh Tark's probably already on the blacklist.

Eudora: I am wonderin' if you noticed any, well if you're aware, of any geographical pattern of the prayers being answered? Tark: Ooh. Good question. Vanessa: No. No, it seems to be reports from all over. Eudora: Hmm. Tark: I'm assuming that the first report you got was in Namolia, just because you were there. Vanessa: Proximity. Yes. Tark: Hmm. And then it would be either someone else in your party that we're meeting up with or probably someone back at home base who would know who would be keeping track of those records. Vanessa: The ones with me are temple guards. Dedicated, devoted, loyal and deadly when they need to be, but they are not of the upper echelons. Tark: I do have a question; why did you guys split up? Nathaniel: We discussed that, I think? Vanessa: Superstition. It is good to have those who are full in their belief, but that belief can extend to folk stories as well as true doctrine. Tark: Hmm. Vanessa: The Reach is often considered strange. Many who hear the stories back home, especially among the elves, think that there's something wrong here. Tark: Would... Tark wouldn't know. DM: You might. You've lived in the Reach. Tark (OOC): Fair. DM: And you were from a very very elvish family. Tark (OOC): You don't say. DM: I mean, it's kind of this, as I said, it's kind of like Appalachia in a lot of ways where there's just weird shit that happens here. Tark (OOC): Would it be more attributed to the fact that there was a dragon living in the mountains? DM: I mean maybe. It's really more just that the Veil between the the different planes is kind of thinner in the Reach. Including the Elemental Planes which is why there are a lot of elementals in the skies and over the mountains. Tark (OOC): Got it. DM: All sort of weird shit. And why the hags were like 'This is a great spot to find a place to open a portal. Tark (OOC): 'Sorry. Just sorry about that.' DM: Its just that the Reach is weird and vague and hazy and you know, all those keywords, but you live there and it's fine. You just hear something calling out your name at night, no you didn't. Tark (OOC) & Hunt (OOC): No you didn't. Tark (OOC): Like you see something weird, no you didn't. DM: No you didn't. It's, yeah, the Reach is what it is. Eudora (OOC): Just don't whistle at night and you'll be fine. DM: Just yeah, thinness between the planes are kind of rubbed together there for whatever reason. Tark (OOC): I think you know, once Tark was totally just fucking with, you know, Florentine or something and whistled once at night and then locked him outside for an hour. DM: Aww. Tark (OOC): Watched this kid cry. 'But did you die though? No.' DM: 'I could have.' Moriarty (OOC): But did you. Marigold (OOC): Aw. DM: 'I had to climb through a window.' Tark (OOC): 'I left the window open. You're welcome.' Street Smarts. Pocket Sand.

Eudora: So I've been debating for a good while if I'm gonna ask this particular question. DM: Mm-hmm Eudora: But I think instead of answering Vanessa's question directly, Eudora's just gonna keep leaning forward and say, "Does the name 'Vedephaen' mean anything to you?" Tark (OOC): Oh. Hunt (OOC): *gasp* DM: Oh. Tark (OOC): Get wrecked. Moriarty (OOC): Oh shit. DM: That is an excellent question. Tark (OOC): I wanna be staring directly at Vanessa trying to clock a reaction. Nathaniel (OOC): Marigold can still tell if she's lying. DM: Right, Marigold can still tell if she's lying. Hunt (OOC): How long does that last? Marigold (OOC): For a minute, so it's probably done at this point. DM: Oh, wait wait. Marigold (OOC): There was a long pause between. DM: She shakes her head and she is not lying. Vanessa: But it sounds Draconic and old. Tark: Do you, and I know you're probably gonna say it's not my business, do you have in your guys' records of... you wouldn't know either would you? I wanna know if they have records from before or you know the whole cataclysm (schism) thing. DM: She has implied that there are records she does not have access to and that is why she doesn't care what the Thefarens find out. She's not concerned. Tark (OOC): Yeah, but we don't know how far back those records go? DM: Right and neither does she. She's never seen them, but she has conviction that they tell the true story of whatever the fuck happened. Tark (OOC): Cool and she said though that there's only the highest, so the highest ranking people and how many of those in the world are there? A handful of people, if that? DM: If that. Tark (OOC): Okay. And they're located, they're centralized in Namolia? Hunt (OOC): Yep. DM: In the Cathedral, yep. Tark (OOC): [something] to go to Namolia? I wanna go! Hunt (OOC): Church heist. Tark (OOC): Yeah. I wanna go! Tark just starts whining like a baby. I don't wanna go to Namolia. It's sandy and gross. DM: 'I hate sand.' -various echoes of the 'I hate sand' SW meme- Nathaniel (OOC): We can hire a team of people who have done a heist in Namolia before. DM: This is true. Nathaniel (OOC): I wanna play Victor again. I love Victor. Tark: Could I send a letter?

Tark: I have a question; from when you started to now, how long has it been? DM: I need to check my notes on how long certain things have been. Eudora: Eudora hears that question and leans forward. Tark: Mm-hmm. Just trying to sprinkle that in as gently as I could. DM: Started in November, so... I can do math... I has been 3 months in-game and... Vanessa: About six months? Or seven? Tark (OOC): And does that line up with the timeline of Jasper. Hunt (OOC): Yeah, I think. DM: Indeed it do. Hunt (OOC): Yeah, it does. Moriarty (OOC): Oh shit. DM: It probably started like a month after he disappeared. Moriarty (OOC): Oh shit, oh fuck. Tark: Okay, and you said after Thel you were going to go up to... Vanessa: Morbridge. Tark: Morbridge. Where were, 'cause I can't remember for the life of me. DM: Mm-hmm Tark (OOC): Where are those dig sites located? DM: In Strathenden, which is further north and she has not gotten there yet. Tark: Have you noticed that, like the prayers being answered, have been becoming for frequent or are they becoming less now that you're destroying the Shrines of Appeasement? Vanessa: The Cathedral is taking the notes on it. I have been away for some time. Tark: Got it. Who would I ask? Would it be one of the people we're meeting up with? Vanessa: No. Tark: Or do I need to send a letter? Vanessa: It is not for you to know. Tark: Well, I would disagree. Vanessa: Unless... DM: And she looks right at Eudora. Vanessa: You have also been keeping secrets. Tark: Nope, no we have not. But we have... DM: Deception with disadvantage.... In Roll20 if you please. -helping Thaddius how to roll in Roll20- Tark: *rolls a 6* Oh! It can't get worse than that. DM & Hunt (OOC): It can. DM: You can get a Nat1. If you hit the up arrow, it'll do it again for you. Tark: *rolls a 7* DM: Okay. Tark: I did do worse than that. Is it really a lie when she was asking--- DM: Yes. Tark: Eudora and Tark was responding? He really doesn't have a whole lot. DM: Yeah yeah, so she's going to continue holding Eudora's eye. Tark: You don't need to worry about it. Ooooh, how do you like them apples? DM: She is still just looking at Eudora and waiting for Eudora to answer her. Tark (OOC): Tell the bitch to fuck off. Eudora (OOC): Hold on, I'm looking something up real quick. DM: Mm-hmm. Tark (OOC): So theory-wise, do we think, while Eudora is looking that up, do we think the death of the kid... Hunt (OOC): Caligari's assistant. Tark (OOC): Yes, thank you. That was the sacrifice? Or do you think the two elves were.... Nathaniel (OOC): I think it was the two elves. Hunt (OOC): I think it was the elves. Tark (OOC): Me too. Why would it matter though? That's my question though. Hunt (OOC): Unless it's he needed more sacrifices? Eudora (OOC): Wasn't there something about the elves being sacrificed in order to make them into guardians there? DM: Yes. Tark (OOC): Yes. DM: Their souls were bound to protect whatever was at that temple. They were got given, their souls were not given in exchange for anything. Tark (OOC): So what, it couldn't have been the assistant because what was so special about the assistant? Nothing. It was opportune timing. Eudora (OOC): Opportune timing might be enough if all you're trying to do is start the process. Hunt (OOC): Yeah. Tark (OOC): Okay and then she became a rat and is piloting him Ratatoulle-style.

Tark: Does this mean we should go with you to Queensrest? Eh? Moriarty: Umm... Vanessa: You were not contracted to follow me to Queensrest. You were contracted to take me to Rosegulch and leave me with my retinue. Tark: Uh-huh. Vanessa: Mm-hmm. Tark: Oh, also speaking of that contract-wise, we are gonna have to charge you that 300 gold for me bringing you back to life. Vanessa: Fine. Tark: And Tark rips off a piece of paper and writes that down, turns it around, "Can you sign this?" DM: She is exhausted, bruised, battered and just heaves a sigh. She will reach into her goods, her bag under the seat and she will pull out 3 platinum and just slap it into your hand. Tark: Even better. Thank you, thank you. Moriarty (OOC): Is three platinum enough? Marigold (OOC): [something] platinum is 30. DM: Oh is it? Yeah, she will pull out a small sack of platinum and set it in your hand. Tark: Cool thanks! You're great. Moriarty (OOC): You know, somehow I don't think Tark means that. Tark (OOC): No.

Tark: Why, why does it have to be you? Vanessa: Because I am a devoted follower of the Crown. I offered to take this pilgrimage. Tark: Can I see if she's being 100? DM: Yeah, go ahead and make an insight. Moriarty (OOC): I feel like everything she's said we're going to--- Tark: *rolls* That's a Natural 20 Hunt (OOC): yay! Moriarty (OOC): Oh hell yes! DM: Alright, she's being 100. She is--- Marigold (OOC): I can tell you guys--- DM: Right also Marigold knows she's telling, I mean you know she's not lying. Tark's looking for, I imaging is looking for other... Tark (OOC): Yeah. Marigold (OOC): Oh. DM: Intentions. Marigold knows she's not lying. Tark is looking for motive. Tark: I'm looking more for 'is it' yeah. LIke is she a Champion in her own right? DM: I think with a Natural 20, she is not Chosen. She wants to. Tark (OOC): She wants to. DM: Very badly. But she, I think, has also said, either she or Lussier I think said, and you would know just from your religious background, Tark (OOC): Yeah. DM: That the Platinum Crown does not Choose. He has never had a saint. He has never had a Chosen and it is a huge part of their thing is that he doesn't choose ever. Everyone is equal in his eye and so there is no way for her to become Chosen because nobody can. Tark (OOC): Who knows though because with this shit poppin' off right now... DM: And maybe, you know what yeah, I think with that you do see her that is what she wants. She wants to prove herself that she is the most committed, the most worthy. There is that spark of religious mania in the back of the eyes. Tark (OOC): For sure. For sure. DM: She is trying to basically rise above. Whether in the Crown's eyes or, you know, at least whoever's the head of the Cathedral. Like she is doing it to advance.

Tark: Do we have a spare map? Like in the carriage? DM: I'm sure you do. Tark: Okay. DM: Edmund, if nothing else Edmund would have a map because he's driving. Ye olde Mapquest. Printed it out. Tark (OOC): 'Ye olde Mapquest' *laughs* If you hit the tree and then the moss is facing right, you've gone too far. DM: 'Wait...' Moriarty (OOC): Right in relation to what? Tark (OOC): Exactly. (IC): So you are hitting all of the Shrine of Appeasement right? Vanessa: Yes. Tark: How many have you already done? Vanessa: All of the ones in Namolia have been taken care of. DM: She's got the map, I had her list that she was going to... Vanessa: Now there's only two more here in Thel and then I can move on. DM: She would give you the number, it's probably no more than a couple dozen. Tark: Left in Thel? Vanessa: Left in Relni. Eudora: Where are the ones [something] Tark: Oh. Vanessa: I'm going to each. Eudora: Where are the ones that are left? DM: They are... I had it. Vanessa: Queensrest and... just Queensrest. Tark: Oh. Vanessa: Then I shall to Morbridge. Eudora (OOC): Geographically, where is Morbridge from here? DM: It is up here past Dustgate. The border is this little *pings the border* I wanna say it's isthmus I'm not sure that's the right word. *checks* It is! Isthmus. Hey, look at me remembering fucking geography. Tark (OOC): There you go! Hunt (OOC): Yay! Moriarty (OOC): Hell yeah! Tark: She said though less than a dozen or a dozen? DM: She said it was about a dozen or more throughout Relni. Tark: Okay. DM: 'Cause it's not, Namolia has the highest concentration and then Strathenden would be second.     Tark: Did you start in Namolia? Vanessa: Yes, that--- DM: That is where the Platinum Cathedral is centralized in Namolia so she went--- Tark (OOC): From there and started--- DM: And hit everywhere. You don't know how long exactly she's been doing this.

Tark (OOC): Kaltauga fucked a god? Wait! -laughter- Tark (OOC): I just connected some dots. DM: Mm... Tark (OOC): Bro, can I get some tips? What is happening? DM: It doesn't seem like a literal 'Our mom' Tark (OOC): Yeah no... DM: Seemed like it was 'The Mother's Chosen' and they said 'The Mother' the Chromatic Queen, The Mother of All Dragons basically. Tark (OOC): 'Cause I got like an archfey I wanna hit up. Hunt (OOC): No! DM: Oh no. Tark (OOC): What?! Nathaniel (OOC): You have a boyfriend. Hunt (OOC): Yeah. Tark (OOC): And? He's not gonna live that long. Marigold (OOC): He will kill you. DM: Oh my god. Hunt (OOC): Well neither are you in comparison to an archfey! Tark (OOC): Yeah. I can have my fling. Marigold (OOC): No you will not. Tark (OOC): The archfey can have his.

Vanessa: The Appeasement is usually to break spells of bad luck. It's... DM: I'm trying to think of how she would describe it essentially 'cause it's like. If I may step back a bit and just kind of explain; The Shrine of Appeasement is usually like 'Hey, I'm going through it' and the idea is that the belief is there is this evil spirit that's causing that and you pay her to stop basically. Hunt & Tark (OOC): Mm-hmm. DM: But now it's like people are not only having things stopped, like more is happening, like the cause of their bad fortune, so it's like. Yes, so she tells you the story of someone was having trouble with a neighbor being a piece of shit and all the stuff kept happening and they went...Their landlord I should say and things were breaking so they were like, 'You know how it is, everything fucking breaks all at the same time' Tark (OOC): Yeah. Leaky roof, dishwater, and the toilet's leaking. DM: Exactly! They went to the shrine to do that 'cause 'I'm having all these troubles and my landlord's not doing anything about it.' and their landlord died. Tark: Oh! DM: So it's more, it's not just it's halting, it's going back to the source and terrible things are happening to the cause. -making comparisons to the goddess statue in The Untamed- DM: Yeah, so t's a little like that. It's not quite as like, 'I'm hoping for good things' it's more 'I'm hoping these bad things will stop.' and they are being stopped forcefully. Tark (OOC): Yes, okay. Moriarty (OOC): You know, I think it's really fucked up that they're making us think that the death of a landlord is a bad thing. DM: It's not. I mean, you're employer is a landlord that's why the Thefarens have a lot of money, but they're literally Tilly's landlord. Nathaniel (OOC): So if you need your landlord to fix a thing and they [something] DM: Right. Tark (OOC): And they cheat you out of it. DM & Nathaniel (OOC): Right. DM: And it's like, now you have a new landlord, their kid takes over and is actually has to go through the building and figure out what's going on and you know. It was net positive in the end, but 'yeah, I feel like I killed my landlord'. Tark: Yeah, are we sure that it's her though? Because just throwing it out here, just throwing it out here, if you worshipped something long enough it could potentially, theoretically become it's own thing. Hunt (OOC/IC?): Mm-hmm Tark: So are we sure that it is actually this god or did something new be born? Hunt (OOC): Like a tulpa. Tark: Yeah. DM: Right. That she has no answer for. Tark: Because, I mean, it doesn't as of right now, it doesn't sound like, you know, it's really on par with what you'd expect? So... (OOC): Question. DM: Hmm? Tark (OOC): Before we went to the Feywild, Tark had did a little sending to Kaltauga being like 'Ey yo, we wanna chit-chat. You wanna hang out?' DM: Mm-hmm Tark (OOC): And then we got back. DM: Right and you have not yet seen him, but did say that he would stop by if I remember correctly. Tark (OOC): Okay. Hunt (OOC): That was three months ago, in game. DM: Yeah, well. Tark (OOC): Well I mean, his time management skills aren't that great. DM: Again, hippie in a van. Tark (OOC): 'Hippie in a van' he probably doesn't own a clock. DM: He has not changed the dashboard clock in eight cycles of daylight savings. Tark (OOC): Okay, but he hasn't shown back up yet? DM: Not yet. No. Tark (OOC): Okay, I just wanted to make sure... DM: He was off doing his own thing and he's like, 'Yeah, when I can make it.' Tark (OOC): Okay. DM: Following the music of the spheres or whatever the fuck. Hunt (OOC): Music of the heavens. DM: Yeah yeah.

Eudora: What would it take to bring a god back to life? Vanessa: I don't know, it's never happened before. Tark: I think both Eudora and Tark are like side-eyeing each other. Or at least Tark's side-eyeing Eudora. Eudora: Eudora's trying not to make eye contact with Tark at this moment. Tark: No, but he's like, 'This fucked up. This is fucked up.' DM: 22, damn girl. She looks thoughtful for a moment and goes; Vanessa: I mean a sacrifice, likely of a life, a soul and blood. Moriarty (OOC): Umm... Hunt (OOC): Oh. Tark (OOC): You're not back here. DM: He is. Hunt (OOC): We're all in the carriage. DM: He is, yes he is. No, he is. You all crammed in here. You crammed in six because it seats six inside, so you all crammed in and she's on the floor in between all of you. Tark (OOC): Oh shit. DM: So yes, you are all in the carriage. Eudora: For a god, you'd think it would take more than one life. Tark: "Yeah, what is the resurrection to death..." Tark slowly reaches into bag and pulls out the notebook with a glitter pen. "What do you think death toll resurrecting a god to dead people ratio that would be? Would it be just one if it was a Champion or a follower? Would it be ten if they were like priests? Vanessa: I couldn't tell you. Perhaps if it was a lighter sacrifice it may have just stirred her  enough, much like I was saved. She must be gaining power, that's the problem Tark: What--- Vanessa: Why we're breaking the shrines. Tark: What, you said that there were prayers being answered. What kind of prayers? DM: That's a great, she's taking a minute too because she is also... Tark (OOC): Of course, of course. (IC): How about this? Tark will pivot so he helps her onto the bench and he'll sit on the floor with his notebook and pen. Hunt (OOC): Wow, Tark sitting on the floor. DM: Damn. Tark (OOC): Research. Eudora (OOC): Wow. Tark (OOC): Research is more important than comfort right now. Eudora (OOC): How much dust and mud and... DM: Right, pine needles and melted snow. Tark (OOC): Research is much more important. DM: Damn. Hunt (OOC): This is a sight that we'll never see again. Eudora (OOC): This a sight we'll never forget. DM: Everyone in the carriage is like, 'Ho- Ya'll seeing this shit?' Tark: Yes yes yes yes yes, shh. Let her answer!

She heaves a ragged sigh. Vanessa: We are dismantling the Shrines of Appeasement. Tark: Oh? Vanessa: The Chromatic Queen has begun answering prayers. Tark: Ohh no. Vanessa: We are trying to mitigate whatever harm can come from her having any offering or acknowledgment. Gods gain their power from belief. Tark: Huh. So, hold on hold on. Eudora: I see. Tark (OOC): I need the Gods of Relni. Hunt: That's Religion 101; You make a shrine to a god and at some point they are going to receive some power from prayer. Really. Tark: Yeah... Vanessa: She was dead. Hunt: Was she? Vanessa: As dead as a god can be. DM: She makes eye contact now with Hunt, she's also looks a little pissed that she's laying here tasting her own blood and being interrogating like this, it's very demeaning. Tark: Tark's going to lean over and... Is anybody still hurt or should I just cast--- Hunt: I'm 28 out of 60. Tark: Oh! So I will do Mass Healing Word just on the people who were injured. Hunt (OOC): yay DM: But not Vanessa? Tark: No, on her too. DM: Oh okay. Tark: Her too. And I'm gonna like, 'cause you know, I could've just been all like, 'Yeah okay, heal everybody else.' But I'm gonna try and make a point and statement that I'm also choosing to heal her by just reaching out and patting her foot. DM: Mm-hmm. She'll push herself up against the door that she's leaning against carefully, so she's not just like slumped against the, you know. Tark: Nine points of healing to peeps. DM: Cool. No longer on Death's Door at least. Eudora: I'm almost to full. Marigold: I'm halfway. Hunt: Little over half. Moriarty (OOC): I lost one spell slot. DM: Good job. Hunt (OOC): Well no one can do anything about that, Moriarty. Tark (OOC): *laughing* DM: Whoa okay, tensions are high. *laughs* Hunt (OOC): Sorry Ethan.

DM: By around, what time was it when ya'll were assaulted? Hunt (OOC): I think it was morning. Like 11 in the morning. DM: Okay. Eudora (OOC): Yeah. Tark (OOC): Something like that, yeah. DM: So it's January around 2pm, so the sun's already starting to sink kind of low by the time she finally stirs and her eyes sort of flutter. Eudora: Welcome back. DM: She sort of presses them shut again and... Tark: Mm Moriarty & Hunt: No. DM: Grits her teeth. Marigold: [something] Tark: You got a lot of explaining to do. Vanessa: What happened? Tark: Oh? What happened? Dragons attacked us because of you. Vanessa: Yes, I gathered that. Tark: Thanks for the heads up by the way. Vanessa: I didn't know. Hunt: I would like to see if she's lying to us. Eudora: Yeah, I would like to... DM: Yes, go ahead and make an insight check. Hunt (OOC): *rolls* I-I can't roll dice! I can't! Tark: Can I also? Eudora: That's a 14. Hunt: 6 for me. Marigold: Oh, can I use my Discerning Mind to jsut see if she's lying for the next minute. DM: Oh? Yeah, for sure. Tark: 18. DM: Okay, yeah with that and Marigold, yeah she's not lying. She didn't realize there would be fucking dragons. Tark: But you had some idea something was after you? Nathaniel: That is why she hired protection. Vanessa: This is also a dangerous country here. Tark: Mm-hmm. So why do you think, just spitballing here, why do you think there were dragons out to kill you? Vanessa: Probably my mission that I'm on. Tark: Mm-hmm. Elaborate. DM: She opens here eyes now and kind of takes in everyone's body language. I'm gonna have her make an insight check. Tark: The singed clothes on us. The--- DM: Yeah. Tark: Fact that Mary looks very disheveled. DM: She's at one hit point. She's like--- Mm-hmm? Eudora: I'll say that Eudora doesn't look angry the way Tark does. DM: Mm-hmm. Eudora: But she does look worried and tired. DM: She's disappointed. It's so much worse. Tark (OOC): It is. DM: She's not angry, she's just disappointed. Marigold: That is kind of more where Mary is as well. Tark (OOC): Eudora leans over, "Now, we're not angry. We're just disappointed." she bursts into tears. Eudora (OOC): Tark in the back is like, 'I'm angry.' Tark (OOC): Oh my god. DM: Oh man, okay Vanessa what are you going to do? Marigold: 'Cause I feel like if she, she would've told us. It would've been really stupid not to. DM: Mm-hmm. Tark (OOC): Yeah, for the party that was known to defeat a dragon when we knew what we were up against, it would've been smart if you knew if you were going up against a dragon to say that it was a dragon. DM: Clearly.

DM: So you all are recovering from the dragon fight, you have revified Vanessa, I'm gonna say that she's probably still not conscious at this point 'cause she was violently torn asunder. Moriarty (OOC): By a dragon, yes. DM: Yeah. Tark (OOC): Yeah well, she can go suck a duck. DM: You have knitted her together enough that she's not going to immediately die again. Tark: Can we toss into the carriage and I accidentally, not so accidentally, I don't know bruise her a bit? Nathaniel (OOC): I think she's already quite bruised. DM: She's pretty bruised. Hunt (OOC): Yeah she is. DM: She was ragdolled and thrown into the carriage. Eudora (OOC): We could just accidentally put her down in an uncomfortable position where you know her arm's gonna be asleep the moment she wakes up. Hunt (OOC): Oh yeah. Tark (OOC): Yeah. We'll do that. DM: True evil. You all, all of you become evil aligned. *laughs* Nathaniel (OOC): I haven't even done anything. DM: I'm kidding. You've all broken your agreement about cruel and unusual punishment. Tark (OOC): She deserved it! DM: I think we were out here, I think for... Yeah, so I'm gonna roll a d4 and see how long it takes for her to wake up, so it'll be about three hours before she wakes on her own. If you want to wake her before then or just keep going. Tark: No, let's get some room. Moriarty: We should probably wake her. Eudora: No. Tark: No, let's some room in between us and--- Hunt: The dragons. Tark: Where we were. Yeah. Moriarty: No, no you're right. My bad. DM: So I'm just gonna get in my head where everybody is in the carriage. One person can sit up front with Edmund but the bench is broken on the one side now, so just be aware of that. Hunt: Alright, which one of the All-Seeing Eyes is up front? DM: I mean, Moriarty has a fully metal leg, you also are better with dying people Hunt: I'll stay in the carriage. Tark: I'll be back there. DM: Okay. I know Tark is obviously back there with Vanessa, Hunt is back with Vanessa. Who else is in the carriage? Eudora: I would like to be in the back of the carriage with Vanessa. DM: 'Kay. Marigold, Nathaniel..     Marigold: I would like to be by her, but I don't know if there's gonna be room. Tark: We'll make room, we'll make it super crowded and uncomfortable. DM: You guys can cramp in. You could cramp in and get everybody in there, but it would be very difficult. Hunt (OOC): We could put Vanessa on the floor and then. DM: You could. Tark (OOC): Oh, she's on the floor. She's on the floor. DM: In that case, all six of you can sit in the back with her between you on the floor, propped up against one side. Tark (OOC): And this is not cruel or unusual or anything, this is... DM: No it's fine. Tark (OOC): We had to make sure she was well protected. DM: Yeah. Tark (OOC): With my boot in her face. No.

Tark (OOC): Is there a rule about how often you can, I mean besides spell slot-wise, how often you can Revivify someone? DM: Umm... *laughs* let's find out. Hunt (OOC): I think there's an optional rule regarding resurrection that more that a person is revived the harder it gets to revive them. But that's an optional rule. Moriarty (OOC): I think that's a Matt Mercer rule. Tark (OOC): That's like flavor. Hunt (OOC): Yeah, that's a Matt Mercer rule, I don't know if... Tark (OOC): Yeah, 'cause he made it like an entire ritual, not just like DM: Right. Hunt (OOC): A defib. DM: I will say is if you're doing more than once a day I'm probably gonna make you start rolling. Yeah, so if you're like 'We'll kill her and bring her back. We'll kill her and bring her back.' a couple times, I'm gonna make you start rolling. Tark (OOC): Maybe, maybe I'll do it once just to be like, 'Bitch, try me. I'm also billing you...'
