Así lo informó la entidad en un comunicado dirigido a las directivas de los clubes y toda la comunidad futbolera de la región.

Comunicado:

“Con pesar y profunda sensibilidad, comunicamos la suspensión momentánea del Torneo Copa de Campeones 2024 ante la magnitud de la catástrofe que ha golpeado nuestras tierras, especialmente en Viña del Mar, Quilpué, Villa Alemana y Valparaíso.

En estos momentos difíciles, el futbol queda en segundo plano frente a las vidas afectadas y las pérdidas sufridas. Queremos expresar nuestro apoyo y solidaridad a todas las personas afectadas por esta tragedia.

Hoy, más que nunca, somos conscientes de que la comunidad futbolera es una familia unida. La pelota puedes esperar, pero la reconstrucción de nuestras comunidades y el apoyo mutuo son prioridad.

Raging Wildfires in Chile - Please Reblog!

Over a hundred people found death and counting, as neighbors and volunteers gather to remove debris by their own means. This wildfire has spread along three different cities, urban and rural spaces included. Arson is claimed.

Many people and pets are still missing, their whole lives destroyed by these aggresive fires as they reached urban villages, thousands evacuated from their home. Please help us create some awareness with a little reblog and maybe some help, as firefighters and other official charities [TECHO chile, Desafío Levantemos Chile, Hogar de Cristo] are accepting donations.

As summer begins to leave, the Valparaíso region begins to welcome the fall. It's the season for outdoor lovers. The kind of weather to make homebodies crack open their windows and wandering souls to lose all track of time and even themselves. Hiking trails become more popular, the streets are lined with with fruit vendors and the inviting scent of citrus. More than just farmers, the region itself is welcoming you to its bountiful harvest. It's a time for celebration and gratitude. To give to the residents what the earth has given to Chile; and no one knows how to celebrate like the Isidora family knows how to celebrate. The Isidora winery invites the Valparaíso region to its annual La Fiesta de Vendimia or The Grape Harvest Festival. It's the only time of year the Winery and its vast, never ending Vineyards are open to the public for no cost at all. While the sun illuminates the beauty of the land and friendly faces, the autumn breeze will kiss your cheeks as you feel the cool soil in which the white and red grapes are grown from. Come with an empty stomach and a curious mind and leave with a full belly and heart. You might even find yourself nominated and acknowledged by your fellow residents. Cultural Context: This event is based on the Chilean tradition of grape harvest festivals, locally-held events that are hosted by municipalities to bring together wine and people from different regions. March and April are the months in which the grape harvest is traditionally celebrated, the time when the grapes are picked, and the fertile land and wine are honored. Rural towns across central Chile celebrate the festival with a religious ceremony to bless the first batch of grapes. A grape queen is also chosen over all other grapes!

Summary:

La Fiesta de Vendimia takes place from Thursday March 15th to Sunday March 17th, from 11 AM to 8 PM, hosted by and on the grounds of Isidora. The harvest festival kicks off with a ceremony that blesses the grapes, and then the rest of the grounds are open to visitors. As Isidora has one of the biggest lands in Casablanca, there’s more than enough space for stalls, rides, and festivities to take place among the grape orchards. See below for a list of events happening during the festival that your muse can participate in (or even work or volunteer!).

March 15th-17th: With City Hall's assistance, Isidora is hosting the 36th Fiesta de la Vendimia, the Grape Harvest Festival!  It starts each day from 10 AM - 8 PM.  There will be a variety of events to celebrate high quality grapes, delicious wine, and the community around you.  Come enjoy fun games (like sack racing or grape stomping competition), beautiful sights (such as art provided by local artists and the grape maze), the llama petting zoo, and more! 

March 30th: Inherited Escape is hosting a book club from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. The book of the month is Pride & Prejudice, a personal favorite of the owner, Oliver Alaya. You do not have to have the book finished ( or read ) in order to come and participate! Snacks and beverages will be provided. Quilpué Activities

March 1st: Gimnasio O2 Aire is rolling out a new exercise program, and they’re looking for 10 dedicated people to help prove the program’s effectiveness.  You’ll meet Wednesday - Sunday from 6 AM - 7:30 AM for a private group session for 30 days.  Included is a nutritionist consultation, new work-out clothes with the Gimnasio O2 Aire brand, and a floral yoga mat.

March 8th: The Plants and Pants Swap was created by a local Chilean influencer who wanted to emphasize reusing clothes rather than throwing them away in landfills, and they’re hosting the swap again on Sunday from 1 PM - 6 PM in El Jardín.  Bring clothes or plants to trade with others!  Nothing will be sold or bought; only trades.

March 19th-24th: Caos Tattoos is proud to host 2 guest artists: @skars__, a neotraditional artist from Mexico City, and @tayeh_studio, a fine line and microrealism artist from Bogotá!  Please reach out to the artists through their instagram or email the Caos team at [email protected] to schedule with them.  Appointments only for guest artists; no walk-ins.

March 21st: If you’re a new player still learning the ropes, or if you’ve always been interested but never knew where to get started, come to Casa Dragones’ D&D Newbie Night from 6 PM - 11 PM! March 3rd: Chasing Suns and Rescue Mission have teamed up with the Valparaíso Centro Médico for a Mental Health Marathon to help raise awareness about mental health and help raise funds for local nonprofits and programs that provide mental health services to the community.  If you’d like to participate and donate, please contact [email protected].  If you’d like to volunteer, please email [email protected]. 

March 31st: Cerro Barrón Street Market is hosting an Oddities Market from 5 PM - 11 PM.  All vendors will be selling items that align with the theme of oddities.  Expect to see exotic pets, cursed objects, macabre paintings, and unique knick knacks.

Viña del Mar Activities

March 7th: It is International Book Day, and what better way to spend it than at a free children’s book reading event hosted by Palacio Rioja. From 4 PM - 7 PM, there will be several story times by guest readers, arts and crafts where students can draw their favorite scenes from the books being read, as well as several important age-appropriate discussions based on the book themes ( bullying and self-acceptance ).

March 28th: Meet the drag kings of the Valparaíso Region at the Kings of Valparadise Show hosted by Club Divine! From 8 PM - 10 PM, celebrate drag, dance, and performance with a themed cocktail in hand!

shriya has lived in valparaíso her entire life. magic dies in normality; she appreciates the region is beautiful, some recent inhabitants even going as far as to throw their entire established life away in order to move there, but for her it was home. nothing more. the bright, welcoming colors seemed grey. the faces she saw each and every day blurred into the background. she had never felt like valparaíso was the place for her—instead, maybe the harsh inhospitable climate of russia up at the top of a rocky irish crag. but still, she remained. how could she move away from everything her parents had built, having moved to chile in order to start afresh and to provide a sprawling and enriching life for their three girls? shriya was the youngest child. saavi was the eldest, and had flown the nest to become a lecturer in the higher echelon of local academia. saavi was the middle sister and, although she had moved against the grain, she had found success producing music. shriya's creativity was stunted, dying there in the manufactured green grass that had become so prosaic to her. she had once wanted to become an artist, but as she mixed the colours she saw ahead of her from the pigments in her palette they always emerged a murky brown. she lives life as though there is something missing, a little death inside of her that refuses to fill. the coffee shop is a means to an end—she seems blind to the fact that she's the first thing people see in the morning, and her smile sometimes brightens even the foggiest of days in the minds of commuters and corporates. she still tries. little doodles on cups and napkins, half-painted canvases in her little shared apartment. there has to be more to life out there than returning home after a seven hour shift with the smell of burnt coffee beans staining her skin. shriya is yet to find it—despite the apathy that seems to encroach on her life like a thick mist. more to come !

Valparaíso/ Santiago / Viña del mar

Valparaíso, es la ciudad y región(conformada junto con viña) denominada como la ciudad del patrimonio por la UNESCO, Valparaíso destaca por ser el centro de las artes y la cultura de chile, es un puerto que hoy en dia lamentablemente esta sufriendo una crisis cultural, la cual, se ha descuidado severamente durante años, sin embargo, sigue permaneciendo la esencia del bello puerto, hogareño y sus tradiciones son amadas por los porteños, hermoso y amigable por el dia, pero parece Gotham en la noche, es donde se celebra super fuerte el halloween, aparecen weas super bizarras, drags que tienen concepto de "monstruos" , punkys, viejitos borrachos, discos y fiesta en todos lados, etc. (Escuchar "Valparaíso" Pero de la banda "los miserables")

Santiago de chile, la ciudad que tiene de todo, se también podria decirse metropolis de color "gris", "azul grisáceo", destaca por su modernidad y dónde hay arquitectura de new york o Europea específicamente de UK (ya que en su momento los ingleses emigraron fuertemente en Santiago, de ahí nació la jerga "catchai" "cachai" xD). En Santiago también es el punto clave donde hay contaminación del aire (por eso fuma) y dónde todo pasa, donde la mayor parte del daño de chile se concentró, sobre todo en dictadura, la sociedad energica pero estresada, ciudad más inteligente, diversidad a montones Pero con alerta en la salud mental. Existe una división clara de clases en la capital, de hecho🤓☝️, hay una foto que lo explica.(Recomiendo los bunkers canción, "Santiago de Chile")

Viña del mar, Ciudad de la música en chile, dónde se creo la Quinta Vergara y uno de los festivales de musica más importante de LATAM, festival de viña del mar, donde se presentan varios artistas de todos los paises en latinoamerica y algunos internacionalmente, ciudad playera, de palmeras (árboles y un dulce que tambien se llama asi y destaca en la ciudad xD), Sol y alegria, ademas de la existencia del reloj gigante de flores que se encuentra cerca de una de las playas. La desventaja de vivir en viña del mar a pesar de ser tan bella ciudad y de buena armonía, es que casi toda la ciudad es turística, lo cual es demasiado caro vivir.(Recomiendo "Viña del mar" de Manolo Galvan)

Valparaíso developed as a trans-oceanic rest stop for fishing ships, sea cruise-liners, and international naval ships. As a result, Chile's people are as varied as the land.
