Looking For Spring created by Rachel Dreimiller

I have been drawn to the evil eye protection symbolism for some time, the eye within the hand offering protection and good luck is something I keep revisiting. I personally find a great sense of comfort in the forest and the cyclical nature of the seasons and wanted to incorporate both feelings in this piece. The single eye growing into many as a new season begins.

Rachel Dreimiller

Dreimiller is an etsy artist and works mainly on embroidery her designs are neat and fragile. They usually involve antonymy of some kind and remind me of old medical drawings. She has always loved drawing and illustration, and saw hand embroidery as another challenging way to illustrate what she finds inspiring and is fascinated with how expressive hands and eyes can be, and tries to capture that with her embroidery art.
