Self-Interested Solidarity

The social subtype feels the need to belong and be accepted by others, and are in a conflict between antisocial egocentrism and social admiration. The solution they found is a self-interested defense of others, with the desire not to exploit, but to dominate and control the social sphere of their relationships. This is projected to global issues, and they're often activists that defend the interests of a certain marginalized group.

Loyal Protection, Independence

Every E8 loves through dominance and control, but the social subtype learned to “own” the other through being a figure of protection. They act like an older sibling that will fight for the younger, but this hides a lack of opening to be protected and cared. They're like a child that felt unprotected by the parents, due to their own stupidity, and therefore decided they wouldn't need anyone to take care of their vulnerable self.

Here we see how Lust is channeled. The social E8 is adventurous, independent, powerful, but not necessarily aggressive. This is because lust will be, to some degree, repressed. They trust their power enough to not use it unless necessary, which is when his people are hurt. Social Activism, Intellectualism

Social lust is expressed as Solidarity, and this also happens within social causes and movements. Socrates, more than a philosopher, was a rebel that wanted to educate the people of Athens. Marx, more than a philosopher, created the most rebellious ideas of his century, all in defense of a society free from exploitation of the proletariat, the oppressed class. Here we see very realist people, but with an aspiration for change. Spider-punk, from the new Spiderverse movie is an example.

Shared Intensity and Lust

Naranjo said if Sexual E8 is a wild boar, Social E8 is a domestic pig (Dramatis, Ensayos). Both carry an animalistic and indulgent life, but the social subtype is less wild, more moderate. Social Lust is also celebratory, the spirit of going through intense adventures and activities with friends, with accomplices in wrongdoing. Here, it's not a mafia relationship like SP 7 have, with pacts of mutual benefit, but rather very strong bonds, bonds that remain through time.
