CFlo Partners with NLC India to Pioneer Green Initiative: Producing M-Sand from Overburden for Sustainable Construction

NLC India, with CFlo as their technology partner, has inaugurated OB (overburden) to Sand washing plant to produce M-sand (manufactured sand) for construction. This innovative project tackles environmental concerns and combats the growing scarcity of natural sand.

The plant, installed by CFlo and executed by SR Stone Crusher, aims to produce a significant 2.62 lakh cubic meters of M-sand annually. This processed sand, derived from leftover overburden (topsoil) during lignite mining, offers a sustainable alternative to natural river sand, minimizing environmental impact on river ecosystems.

The initiative aligns perfectly with the Ministry of Coal's push for sustainable practices and the "Waste to Wealth" concept. It promotes efficient utilization of natural resources while minimizing environmental impact. Notably, the plant commenced operations in January 2024, marking a significant step in the lignite mining industry.

Opencast mining generates overburden as waste during lignite extraction. This project leverages this "waste" material. Extensive research by NLC India and IIT Madras confirmed the suitability of overburden for conversion into M-sand meeting IS 383:2016 standards.

The project signifies the beginning of a larger green initiative. NLC India, under the Build Own Operate (BOO) model, plans to process M-sand from overburden at Lignite Mine-IA. The foundation stone for this plant was laid in December 2023 by NLCIL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Prasanna Kumar Motupalli.

Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLCIL, expressed optimism about the project's potential, emphasizing the awarded contract and future expansion plans. He stated, "This environment-friendly green initiative will be further expanded in the future."

Manish Bhartia, Promoter & Managing Director, CDE Asia Limited, highlighted their advanced overburden waste processing systems. He stated “These systems enable efficient sand recovery from waste while promoting sustainability. The Reurban 100 TPH plant boasts a 95% reduction in water usage through recycling and maintains a strict silt content limit for high-quality products. CFlo's systematic approach ensures efficient resource management, solidifying their leadership in this space.”

The trailer starts with a strong emotion about the state of the party where Pankaj Tripathi portraying Atal ji says; “The happiness and prosperity we imagine to have in life, cinema portrays it on the screen. We believe what we watch on screen. Outside cinema halls there is also one screen in the eyes of this country’s innocent citizens, whatever you show them they will believe it to be true. And whenever we try to do something good for the country, we are accused of being communal, and the Janata is being told and given an understanding that this Hindu party is dangerous for the country”.

The trailer gives glimpses of how Atal Bihari Vajpayee faced the criticism after Mahatma Gandhi’s Murder, the accused Godse’s association with RSS. Indian emergency chaos, The Babri Masjid destruction, violence and background slogans of ‘Mandir Wahi Banayenge’. After delivering a series of flops, Akkineni heroes are threading cautiously about their upcoming projects. The trio of Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, and Akhil are yet to commence shooting for their next films because they want to make sure that the script and other aspects are firmly in place before going on to the sets. As they faced a severe backlash from their fandom, Akkineni heroes want to make a strong comeback with their next outings. Nagarjuna was supposed to kick start the regular shooting of his 99th film in the direction of debutant Prasanna Kumar Bezawada. But, the film is put on hold due to script issues and Nag is now looking at other alternatives. Directors like Ajay Bhupathi of 'RX 100' fame and Raghava Lawrence are in talks with Nag to direct his next film. He will take a call very soon. Naga Chaitanya's next film with Chandoo Mondeti is still in the pre-production phase. It is likely to go on floors in August. Though Chaitu gave the nod to the Karthikeya-2 director, the script is being enhanced before its official announcement. Akkineni Akhil who scored the biggest debacle in his career with Agent is eagerly waiting to announce his next project with a debutant director in the production of UV Creations. Specially-Abled Inspiration-Prasanna Kumar's Solo Bike Ride from Kanyakumari to Kashmir

The heroic trek that Prasanna Kumar took from Kanyakumari to Kashmir is evidence of his tenacity and fortitude. He set out on a solo bike trip in spite of his physical difficulties to demonstrate that a person's spirit mattered more than whatever limits they may encounter. 

Prasanna's voyage began when he learned that due to the different bike sizes, he couldn't travel with his companions from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Instead of giving up, he made the decision to ride his 2011 Royal Enfield motorcycle alone and complete the journey. 

His goal was to demonstrate that an individual's talents are determined by them, not by their bike. Prasanna sought advice from others who had already accomplished a comparable achievement in order to get ready for the voyage. 

He embarked on his trip despite having early reservations about covering the 3,700 km distance in just four days. His journey began in Kanyakumari and ended in Gulmarg, Kashmir, through Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jhansi, and Delhi. 

Prasanna encountered a number of difficulties along the route, including issues with his bike, excessive traffic, and a lack of food as a result of businesses closing for the Holi festival. Nevertheless, he persisted, and after finishing the bike, he felt a great sense of accomplishment.
