I Drew My Not So Berry Mint Heir

I love her design to bits. And yes I’ll be doing more drawings of some of my favorite stuff with her gen.

In case you’re wondering of why I named and designed her the way I did:

Pepper Nosobirrie. Pepper as in peppermint, which, well, mint gen. And Nosobirrie is pronounced ‘No-saw-burr-ee’, but it’s a play on the challenge name ‘Not So Berry’. It’s just lettered differently so it sounds like a legitimate last name someone could have.

Yeah, I mostly tried to NOT copy other people. So instead I played more into the mischief aspect of the personality rather than the logic. And she ended up becoming a bad girl. Which, well, unique approach.

As of the time I’d this post, she got two additional traits along with the required ones: Neat, and Evil. So yeah, bad girl scientist. This character is pure chaos.

I KNOW the pink fringe is not mint. I know there’s hairstyles that don’t have the pink fringe. But I love it on her and adds some dynamic look to her. While she’s still obviously representing her gen color: Mint.

My backstory for her is that she was an aspiring scientist ever since she was a kid, dreaming about making inventions and getting aliens attention. But her inventions never worked properly, because she was a naturally chaotic person, and they would always blow up in her face and lead to disaster. One invention failure even got her sent to PRISON. At 18. (I headcanon shes 21 at the time the game starts)

From there, her parents were quick to disown her. Which is why they aren’t in her family tree. (I wanted to make an in story reason for it besides ‘the game is like that cause she’s a CAS made character’) So Pepper got to reinvent herself in prison, make some friends who are like her and like her chaotic side (I also designed some of them as characters), and decided to fully embrace herself as ‘the bad girl scientist’, with mint as a staple to make herself known.

She also has a cat (that I made in CAS with her). A mint cat named Bubbles. She’s a rehabilitation cat that was in prison with her, and was assigned to her for therapy. They let her keep Bubbles cause she was so good with her. Bubbles is a cat that loves to think she’s tough and feared, but humans just find her cute and cuddly and don’t believe the tough act at all. Bubbles is Pepper’s partner in crime and her best friend.

So now, (when the game starts), Pepper and Bubbles are let out of prison and on their own. She moves to the city and gets an apartment in the Spice Market, ready to make her new life and pursue her new identity.

I also headcanon, due to the required traits:

Vegetarian: She has food allergies. She hates eating unless she has to. (Legit, at the time of this post, she’s a week till age up to adult, and is still as scrawny as when I made her. And she only worked out twice so far.)

Jealous: She’s demi-romantic. She’s allosexual, definitely, don’t question that, but while she is many chaotic things with her bad girl image, a player is NOT one of them. She needs to find the right person, the perfect person in her mind, for her to get that crush. When she does, she pines for that HARD. You may even find her heart or gold, cause she’s so bad at having the rizz to communicate.

Materialistic: She LOVES her crystals. She has a massive crystal collection in her inventory all the time and decorates her house with crystals all the time. Shiny rock? She loves it. She doesn’t part with it at all. She can tell you all about gemstones like a little geek.

She’s also actually pretty weak. Despite being in prison, she doesn’t have a lot of muscle. (She’s enemies with her apartment neighbor ; lost all the fights) She more so wins her fights with her brains. She’s more brain than brawn. Being a scientist, she’s intelligent like that.

I’ll draw more, as well as Bubbles, and some of the other outfits I made her, and some of my favorite moments in her gen of the challenge.

So they don’t realize she’s dead. And since Pepper opened the wormhole that destroyed their lives, they want revenge.

Another Winterfest With The Nosobirries!

Happy Winterfest! The whole family came to decorate the tree!

They didn’t like the decorations for some reason. I like it.

Kian got the Christmas present of completing an aspiration milestone. Good for him.

Meanwhile Ruby was doing extra credit on Christmas…

Then Laurant came in out of nowhere. And he came over to ask Ruby out to prom.

Sure. They’re gonna break up on prom, but sure.

Kian meanwhile decided to give his crush a present. (They’re crushing on the same guy) It’s a beach towel. Cause he’s a water guy. It’s a fire patterned one so he can think of Kian when he uses it.

And he liked it.

Kian is crushing so hard, it’s funny.

Ruby didn’t even think about getting a gift for Laurant.

“So kids… who’s the boy?”

“Dad. Don’t even.”

Then Kian got the two to join him in singing Fwinggle Zibbs and Hoble Borfna. They had fun with it

While their parents were doing it as it was happening 😂

Hey parents need presents too

Their presents sucked though.

Kian got a lump of coal.

Ruby got a headstone.

(STOP HINTING AT THEM DYING GAME!!)

So I just had them both exchange lava lamps as gifts. Better than the tree.

The parents got a train set and a book.

And little Mercury got a play set.

I definitely like Laurant and Kian as a ship far more than Laurant and Ruby. They get along great as well.

It will break my heart if Laurant is straight and refuses a relationship.

And Mercury got to see Santa. Who gave her another dollhouse (Spoil her, why don’t you?)

It’s sweet cause Ruby and Kian were toddlers last Winterfest.

And of course, you can’t forget Pepper and Salim got engaged last Winterfest as well.

(I like the idea that Pepper is taller than him. Or just that she’s tall in general. Salim is a short king and we love it)

Winterfest For The Nosobirries

Winterfest for the Nosobirries! Huge holiday! I wanted to make this one of the most memorable Winterfests in my games, ever.

Pepper and Salim, the loving couple, decorated a tree together. (Pepper loves it, & she ignores the existence of Santa Claus cause she’s evil 😂)

Everyone got Winterfest outfits. Even Bubbles

Unfortunately the toddler’s elf hats kept glitching. So if they have bald heads, that’s why.

We also invited all our friends over for the holiday.

The presents under the tree:

Pepper got a really expensive refrigerator. Not kidding. Im surprised she got that big of a gift let alone a gift at all. Considering she’s evil and did evil stuff all year as a prankster.

Salim got an auto-vacuum. That’s nice and handy.

Ruby got an orange topaz crystal. Game already knew.

And Kian got a bus toy.

But we weren’t done yet, because Pepper wanted to give presents to her new family in front of everyone.

To Ruby, (our future heir), a Ruby. The crystal she was named after.

As the regal beautiful crimson queen.

To Kian, a Fire Opal.

As the aggressive wild sunny boy who may have an angry side (they both do) but is full of pride and energy, like fire.

And for Salim. The love of Peppers life. She knows he’s a book guy, so she got him a pretty expensive novel that he wanted. “Famous or not, I hope we continue to make so many happy memories together”

And Salim said: “I also want to make more memories with you, and I know we can. Because I also have a present for you, Pepper…”

“Pepper, before I met you at that bar, I was just a guy in an apartment taking naps, not working on my creative dreams when I should have."

“Then you came in and changed that. You and your chaotic self that lit up my whole world."

“And I want that chaos forever.”

“Will you marry me?”

“OF COURSE I WILL SALIM!!”

And Ruby is in view of her parents engagement. Perfect for her gen’s story.

“Wow. Love is so beautiful. My parents have such an amazing loving relationship. I want one of those one day. A perfect love moment just like that one.”

And of course the twins got presents from Santa. Ruby got a picture book. Kian got a floppy the gnome.

Bubbles the cat is on the naughty list though. No presents for the cat.

The Consequences Of Sun’s Actions

His stepmother died.

His uncle died.

His cat died.

They didn’t live long enough to see him go to space.

Now, more than ever, Sun Nosobirrie is DESPERATE and not emotionally stable to think rationally.

All he cares about right now is his dreams.

He doesn’t want to wait till he finishes college anymore.

That’s why he’s stealing a rocket ship from GeekCon, that might be founded by the college?

I’m saying it is.

“Goodbye world!!!!! IM OUT TO THE BEYOND!!!!”

“Wait, what’s that guy doing-OOOOHH GOD!!!”

Sun traveled to space and found the Cosmic Relief Dog Pound.

There he met the boss alien of the department looking for her dog. Sun tried to make excuses to look around and let his curious side get the better of him, but instead he got DOXXED.

And apparently the boss is a dog-napper? Question mark? (I didnt really understand the story)

Sun investigated the cages, and even agreed to an injection…

Yeah, this is gonna end bad…

And he found there were several cages of earth mutts.

Then, my prediction cause it ended there, Fitz found info about Sun. That he was a Nosobirrie. The grandson to the Nosobirrie that opened the wormhole to earth for aliens all those years ago, and as such was responsible for their discrimination by sim humans.

So they CHASED SUN. They were after him to get revenge. Revenge for something Pepper did and not him btw.

And Sun barely got back to the rocket to escape.

OR DID HE?

Remember when they doxxed him?

Well that night, Sun was upgrading his own rocket, minding his own business…

THEY INVADED.

“WHEN WILL YOU LEARN?! WHEN WILL YOU LEARN!?!”

So Sun got abducted.

UUUUUUUUUUHHHHH…

And got a pristine reputation from it????

My guess is that they realized he wasn’t Pepper. He wasn’t the person they were after.

But they already drugged him and dazed him, so what could they do? He was the grandson, so he deserved some form of punishment, right? Especially for the dogs…

Well one, the college found out about the incident I guess. And they weren’t happy about it.

So they put him on probation.

I’m saying that’s what the story is. Cause otherwise this was a glitch. I did all the work. It didn’t get counted somehow.

Ah well, at least Sun’s home safe. If a little drowsy. Pepper and Mercury being here could not be more appropriate.

And Rubys still yelling at him. Not happy about the stunt he pulled. Appropriate.

OH NO.

OH NO….

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!??!

I avoided it with Pepper somehow. Yeah she got abducted but she didn’t get pregnant from it.

I was thinking “We should probably have the Grey Gen heir” BUT OH MY GOSH…

So… yeah.

Sun is pregnant with an alien baby.

I decided to do the OC Ship Ask Game with my Not So Berry Couples. Starting with our OG married couple, Salim Benali x Pepper Nosobirrie

Who fell first? Who fell harder?

Pepper fell first. You can tell from how uncharacteristically awkward she got when they first met. But I’d say Salim fell harder given how much he expresses his adoration for her.

Who is the one who fusses the most? Does their S/O mind very much?

Pepper definitely. And Salim does mind it. They took a break from each other as a result. (Then came back)

What is their love language?

CHAOS

Who likes forehead kisses? Who likes hand kisses? Who likes neck kisses?

Salim. Salim. And Salim.

Who is the big spoon? Little spoon?

Peppers the big spoon. Salims the little spoon. No criticism.

Who is clingy?

Pepper. She’s a jealous sim and gets paranoid when she spends a day without him.

What is something they find hot about their S/O?

For Pepper, that man bun. For Salim, that rizz.

What is something they argue about constantly? Is it a deep-seated issue or something small?

Their biggest fight was whether or not Pepper was a good parent and a good influence. And that lasted for awhile, and even resulted in an accidental pregnancy with Emerald and Peridot.

How do they comfort one another when the other is upset?

Salim will help her take deep breaths and meditate out of her stress. Pepper will just bone him.

Who is the better caretaker? Does their S/O like being taken care of?

Salim. It’s not really a contest here. Pepper likes it, but she’s also pretty independent.

They've had a major blowout. How do they handle it?

This actually happened. At first they boned as an apology, accidentally got pregnant with two more kids (Emerald and Peridot). That didn’t work so Pepper tried being the responsible one around the house. That didn’t work do they took a break with Pepper moving out to live with her eldest kids (Ruby and Kian). They got back together though, and visited often.

How good are they on communication?

Salim? Great. Pepper? Not so much.

Who handles the spiders? Who screams directions in the background?

Pepper’s crushing spiders before Salim even sees them.

Who typically tends to initiate intimacy first (this can be a conversation, action or anything)?

Pepper. Though that’s mostly just because I was playing as her from the very beginning.

Who said "I love you" first?

Pepper

Who kissed who first?

Mutual

Who gets jealous most often? How does their S/O deal with that?

Again, Pepper. No contest. Salim usually lets her know it’s all fine though.

Who tends to drive on long journeys? Who navigates?

Pepper drives. Salim navigates.

Do they trust one another? Are comfortable - discussing their fears with one another?

Absolutely.

What's an insecurity they hold about their relationship?

Their capabilities as parents to their kids. They moved in together to raise Ruby and Kian, and they turned out… chaotic. Then Salim had a midlife crisis about it. Then Pepper went off the deep end with her doubts.

How would they describe one another.

Salim to Pepper “She drives me crazy. But she also drives me craazzyyy.”

Pepper to Salim “He’s so kind and talented and thoughtful.”

Which one of them gives "that look" when they other is acting like a fool?

Salim. He doesn’t usually do anything though

How does each significant other view any exes and former relationships?

Neither character has any exes

Who is more likely to avenge their S/O if they were hurt or killed?

Pepper. With a freeze ray.

What would be their ideal evening in?

The art museum. Salim loves it especially.

Who gets up early? Who stays in bed late?

Pepper gets up early for her chaotic reasons. Salim stays in bed late being the lazy guy he is.

Who's more likely to bring the other coffee or breakfast in bed?

Surprisingly, Pepper. She’s not good at it but she tries just to get her husband to be productive with his dreams.

If they were ever in a life or death situation, who risks their life?

Pepper. She ain’t no pushover

If it ever came down to it, who is turning to the darkside to save the other?

Pepper. She’s already evil and the ‘bad girl scientist’.

Are there any characters who ship them?

Their own children. Especially Ruby. She idolizes their marriage, as she was alive to see the wedding.

Who cooks? Who does the dishes?

Salim. Pepper can’t be trusted in the kitchen.

Who eats healthier? Who's got the sweet-tooth?

Surprisingly, Salim. Not saying Pepper isn’t healthy, she is, she’s a vegetarian and she’s a rare character that’s almost never had weight problems. But she has food allergies. She hates eating unless she has to. So she’s actually on the more underweight side.

What's something that they don't really care for but tolerate because S/O has an interest?

Salim doesn’t care for freezing people with a freeze ray. But Pepper does it and it makes her happy.

Who spoils who? Does their S/O tolerate it? Do they secretly enjoy it?

Surprisingly, Pepper spoils Salim. Yeah she’s materialistic, but she’s also grateful for her love.

Who tends to be the level-headed one? Who is feral?

Salim is the level headed one. Pepper is FERAL.

Who reminds the other to wear a coat when it's cold out?

Pepper. She freezes people. But not him.

Do they hold hands?

Surprisingly, no. I’ve never seen them do that.

Is there a spot they tend to kiss or caress habitual?

For Salim, it’s her cheek. For Pepper, it’s his hands.

How would they describe their S/O in one word?

“Chaotic”

How would outside characters describe their relationship?

A match that bettered both of them.

How would they describe one another in bed?

Pepper often calls Salim a bad woo-hooer. She still got impregnated by him twice though, so clearly they do it often.

Who tends to take the lead in intimate encounters?

Pepper

Have they ever been caught in the act? What would be their reaction if they were?

Yes. Don’t care.

Have they ever done it anywhere questionable?

At a bar with celebrities. Pepper was pregnant then. Salim dipped her in the celebrities skirt. And the fan punched her in the back as payback. How Ruby and Kian were still born, I have no idea.

Who is more vocal? Who is more experienced?

Both in different ways. Peppers a scientific genius and a prankster. Salims a creative and a practical person. It’s comparing apples and oranges.

If they were to go shopping, who holds the bags? Who decides where they go?

Salim is the shopping enthusiast with his artsy vibe. Pepper doesn’t buy clothes unless they’re mint colored.

If they went out to dinner, who is paying? Would there even be a discussion?

Pepper pays. She doesn’t even let Salim say anything before she does.

If someone flirted with or showed an interest in their S/O, how would the other react?

They’re Peppers new enemy and she’ll beat you up. Then freeze you.

Who's more likely to bail who out of jail? Would they give the other one shit for it?

Pepper HAS been to prison once. And should have been again when Nina died in her apartment because of her. So Salim is bailing.

Are they soulmates? Do they believe in that?

Absolutely and they know it.

Did they have a meet cute? Or was it a train wreck?

Pepper passed out when they met at the bar. So yeah, it was a bit of a train wreck on her end.

Who gives the best gifts? Who gives the more thoughtful? Who goes for expensive?

Pepper is the more expensive. Can’t afford it? Steal it. But Salims Winterfest gift was proposing to her. Can’t beat that.

Would they ever consider marriage?

They ARE married.

Would they ever consider starting a family?

They have five kids. Two sets of twins. And one alien. Four girls and one boy.

Who likes kids more? Who can't stand them?

Salim is the involved parent. Pepper doesn’t hate kids though, she’s just careless about raising them.

There's a puddle in one's way. What does their S/O do?

Step in it. They don’t care

Their pet has caused destruction. Who puts the pet in jail? Who defends the pet?

No one would ever put Bubbles in jail again. He’s a precious irreplaceable cat.

Who reads the newspaper? Who wants to see the cartoons?

Salim for both.

Who gives off "they said no pickles" energy?

Surprisingly, Salim. Pepper’s the vegan one.

Salim isn’t too far behind the line after the death of Pepper.

With the exception of two of Pepper’s co-workers, Salim has outlived everyone relevant to Mint Gen. He became an elder BEFORE Pepper did, and he still outlived her. I’m still very surprised about this.

He became a four star celebrity after publishing one last book. Wow.

We got photos with all of his kids.

Unlike Pepper, he was actually involved in their lives.

We also threw a dinner party that day.

And look who showed up.

(I don’t discard ghosts in my games. If you’re in my family tree, I will get your grave if I can get it and have your ghost haunt my place for all eternity.)

(No joke, because if that, I have 30+ graves in my 100 Baby Challenge in a basement and I have 3-4 ghosts haunting the house every night.)

So they got to hang out and catch up. Sun got to reunite with his grandma.

Before Ruby brainwashed her kid to clean the house during the party.

Bad mom.

Pepper didn’t seem to care though.

Salim’s reunited with his wife before he even became a ghost with her.

Goodbye Pepper

1 AM. Pepper’s woken up to die.

“Salim. Thank you. Goodbye.”

She’s dying of old age.

I forced everyone awake to see it. She wasn’t dying alone.

Salim thought “Oh. Ha ha, this is another one of your jokes Pepper.”

But she wasn’t moving.

“It’s not a joke…?! Pepper?! PEPPER!!?!??”

Everyone showed up.

They’re devastated.

Salim lost his wife.

Ruby and Kian lost their mom.

Sun lost his grandma.

I found this cute that Pepper transitioned to confident cause she adores that her family, that she made, is here to see her go.

That’s so beautiful 😭

Sun was heartbroken. He lost his grandma. The only person who believed in him.

Salim’s a widow now. Which is SO SAD.

KIAN DIDNT EVEN PROCESS THE DEATH.

DUDE. YOUR MOM JUST DIED.

Ruby got the mourning moodlet. Laurant got it even though he was never close to her. But Kian for some reason doesn’t get it.

Maybe he’s in denial. “Oh, this is one of moms jokes.”

Our OG Sim is gone. She’s reunited with Bubbles.

“The one that started it all with her chaotic nature that will always live on in every generation.”

Goodbye Pepper. You will be missed dearly.

It’s Almost Pepper’s Time

Our OG Sim is dying… 😭

I HAD to get photos

Last day photos of the whole family.

The family she’s made.

I wish I got photos with her BFF Molly. But she died before we could.

“Don’t worry Bubbles. I’m coming soon.”

She got to dance with Sun one last time. Spend time with her beloved grandson.

And they became best friends.

“I love you Sun. So. So much.”

And they got to stargaze together.

Pepper’s telling Sun everything she knows about the stars and her experiences.

“Goodnight Sun. Sleep well.”

“You look beautiful Ruby!”

“Mom… you know this is my indecisive look, right? I’m trying to figure out a dress for my wedding.”

“This is the look of my daughter.”

And she got to hang out with Salim.

And we had one last dinner of chili with the family.

And then she went to bed.
