Hey this might sound weird but I'm new to the whole tumblr f1 thing and was wondering how to form friends with people on here or get into a community I suppose?? Haha ik this sounds weird but I've been reading f1 ao3 fics for a long time but was always scared to reach out, so finally made a tumblr. Ignore this question if it feels too weird but just wanted to ask :)

First of all, hi there! Welcome to our little f1 corner of the internet, I hope you'll have some fun here🫶

I'm sadly not the most qualified to answer this since I'm also very shy and weird when it comes to making friends on here and I haven't been here for too long either. I'm also still learning how to defeat that inner voice of mine telling me I'm annoying people and actually reach out to my mutuals.

But here are some general things for anyone who's new, I'm sorry it got a little long. Keep in mind, these are things that I personally like, so this might not be general advice for everyone!

Write a little sth about yourself in your profile/blog! Choose a pic of your favourite blorbos as your profile pic or banner! It makes it wayyy less awkward to start conversations if two people already know basic things like each other's nicknames, pronouns and drivers or ships they're both interested in.

Reblog stuff from people you'd like to get to know! Maybe put some of your thoughts in the tags, reblogs and tags are what makes tumblr so fun. You can put the weirdest stuff in there and the person you reblogged it from will get a good laugh out of it (at least that's what i do whenever someone reblogs my stuff: cackle at the tags)

Write some comments on AO3 or leave some asks (anonymous or not, your choice) on tumblr! Even if it's just "!!!!!!?!?!??!" or "❤️💖🫶😭" Authors WILL gobble it up.

Write some DMs! Most (if not all) people on here are also starving for interactions.

I remember and recognize so many beautiful people who reblog my stuff or have left comments or asks. Even if I haven't directly talked to them, I would still consider them my friends. Tumblr mutual culture is a bit like that.

So, all in all: Don't be afraid to start interactions. (I am also writing this to remind MYSELF of that fact😭😂) And remember - we are all here to enjoy the rich men going vroom vroom on the weekends and to have fun with being delusional together🧡

mina! your recent tags for ep 7 of djats have me cackling! i’m giffing nabiyah so i skipped 7 to watch 8 first so that i can watch 7 for comfort while giffing. when i realized THE ENTIRE episode is shining on simone(+her daisy/her and bernie) i just about near damn died 😭(bc that means more gifs for her) like thank damn GOD. it’s always a miracle when they have nabiyah in an episode. i’m lucky if she even gets like 2-3 scenes in one 😒 but antway, karen and graham never did shit for me, daisy and billy yes and no, camila deserves better than billy, and i’m stuck between eddie being a simp and feeling bad cause he gon tell camila he can be there for her again… reallLy 😂. at this point, warren has yet to fail me! and sebastian is just too yummy but that’s just me 🥰. i truly came in here to tell you about your tags and not give a rant but i hope you have a good day 💖.

okay so i watched shang chi today and holy shit?? WHY IS EVERYONE SLEEPING ON THIS MOVIE?! incredible acting, compelling characters and storytelling, great asian representation, and THE FIGHT SCENES!! HOLY SHIT!! they were dancing while fighting, the movements were so graceful yet deadly, i'm absolutely floored. also there were unexpectedly great mcu tie-ins. this movie is seriously one of the best movies marvel has released in a while and it breaks my heart that nobody is talking about it. go watch it!! you won't regret it.

decided to give cw nancy drew a shot and omg... obsessed. just finished s1 and pleasantly surprised at how well done it is for cw?? nick and george are cute as fuck!! nancy and ace are on their way to a nice slow burn, which i loveeee. bess deserves SO MUCH better than the marvin fam, let's be real (also i love her to death). and ace is totally a jj maybank variant it cracks me tf up😂 stoner conspiracy king who breaks ppl out of jail, we love to see it!! shoutout to all the obx/jiara blogs who rave about this show for getting me to watch!
