🍄Mycology🍄 Spathularia velutipes or the Velvety Fairy Fan. This was growing on a decaying tree stump in the NC Piedmont. They're typical habitats are on decaying logs, in pine woods. Found from North Carolina to northeastern North America and west to Minnesota. Season August-September. Not edible.
