Darius Dubljarna
Part of the 3rd generation of my legacy, Darius was the youngest of four children. His siblings were all much older than him and had moved out of the house before he was born, making him essentially an only child when growing up. He spent most of his time training for ballet, but gave up dream of dance when he met Mariposa and started their family. He had no regrets.

Interesting mix and sure if you think so than yes, he did.
I tended to initially imagine him looking like Jesse Metcalfe, who at the time was cast as Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald on Passions (but with an accent of course) 🤣 which I was hopelessly addicted to at the age of 13 when Goblet of Fire was first published LOL. I figured he was young, dark hair, boyishly handsome, and popular, but when I saw the films, I liked the choice of Stanislav Yanevski.

Pope Francis created 13 new Cardinals on October 5, 2019, reminding them that “compassion” is a keyword in the gospel.
“In the Gospels, we often see Jesus’ compassion for those who are suffering,” the Holy Father recalled. “The more we read, the more we contemplate, the more we come to realize that the Lord’s compassion is not an occasional, sporadic emotion, but is steadfast and indeed seems to be the attitude of his heart, in which God’s mercy is made incarnate.
“God’s love for his people is drenched with compassion, to the extent that, in this covenant relationship, what is divine is compassionate, while, sad to say, it appears that what is human is so often lacking in compassion.”
The Holy Father explained that even the apostles sometimes lacked compassion. And he reminded those present that no one has compassion simply because of the position they hold in life.
“At this point, we can ask ourselves: are we conscious – we, in the first place – of having been the object of God’s compassion?” Francis asked. “In a particular way, I ask this of you, brother cardinals and those about to become cardinals: do you have a lively awareness of always having been preceded and accompanied by his mercy?”
The “creation” of the new Cardinals took place at 4 pm in the Vatican Basilica, where the Holy Father held an Ordinary Public Consistory for the creation of 13 new Cardinals, for the imposition of the cap, the handing over of the ring and the assignment of the Title or Diakonia.
The celebration began with the greeting, the prayer and the reading of a passage from the Gospel according to Mark (6,30-37a). Then the Pope gave the homily.
The Holy Father then read the formula of creation and solemnly proclaimed the names of the new cardinals, announcing the presbyteral or diaconal order. The Rite continued with the profession of faith of the new Cardinals before the people of God and the oath of fidelity and obedience to Pope Francis and his successors.
The new cardinals, according to the order of creation, knelt before the Holy Father who imposed the skullcap and cardinal hat on them, gave the ring and assigned to each a church of Rome as a sign of participation in the pastoral care of the Pope in Urbe.
After the delivery of the Bull of cardinality and the assignment of the Title or Diakonia, the Holy Father Francis exchanges the embrace of peace with each new Cardinal.
Following is the list of the 10 archbishops and bishops who will be the new cardinal electors:

Monsignor Juan de la Caridad Garcia Rodriguez, Archbishop of San Cristobal de la Habana;
Monsignor Fridolin Ambongo Besungu, Archbishop of Kinshasa;
Monsignor Jean-Claude Hollerich, Archbishop of Luxemburg;
Monsignor Alvaro Leonel Ramazzini Imeri, Bishop of Huehuetenango;
Monsignor Mattep Zuppi, Archbishop of Bologna;

The Holy Father also created three Cardinals beyond the age to serve as electors but who are named for their distinguished service to the Church:

The following is the text of the Homily that the Holy Father Francis pronounced during the Consistory:
At the heart of the Gospel, we have just heard (Mk 6:30-37) is the “compassion” of Jesus (cf. 34). Compassion is a keyword in the Gospel. It is written in Christ’s heart; it is forever written in the heart of God.
In the Gospels, we often see Jesus’ compassion for those who are suffering. The more we read, the more we contemplate, the more we come to realize that the Lord’s compassion is not an occasional, sporadic emotion, but is steadfast and indeed seems to be the attitude of his heart, in which God’s mercy is made incarnate.
Mark, for example, tells us that when Jesus first passed through Galilee preaching and casting out demons, “a leper came to him begging him, and kneeling said to him, ‘If you choose, you can make me clean’. Moved with pity, Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, and said to him, ‘I do choose. Be made clean!’” (1:40-42). In this gesture and with these words, we see the mission of Jesus, the Redeemer of mankind. He is a compassionate Redeemer. He incarnates God’s will to purify men and women afflicted by the scourge of sin; he is “the outstretched hand of God”, who touches our sickly flesh and accomplishes this work by bridging the chasm of separation.
Jesus goes out in search of the outcast, those without hope. People like the man paralyzed for thirty-eight years who lay beside the pool of Bethzatha, waiting in vain for someone to bring him to the waters (cf. Jn 5:1-9).
This compassion did not appear suddenly at one moment in the history of salvation. No, it was always there in God, impressed on his paternal heart. We see it in the account of the calling of Moses when God spoke from the burning bush and said: “I have observed the misery of my people who are in Egypt; I have heard their cry… indeed, I know their sufferings” (Ex 3:7).
God’s love for his people is drenched with compassion, to the extent that, in this covenant relationship, what is divine is compassionate, while, sad to say, it appears that what is human is so often lacking in compassion. God himself says so: “How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? … My heart recoils within me; my compassion grows warm and tender… For I am God and no mortal, the holy one in your midst, and I will not come in wrath” (Hos 11:8-9).
Jesus’ disciples often show themselves lacking compassion, as in this case, when they are faced with the problem of having to feed the crowds. In effect, they say: “Let them worry about it themselves…” This is a common attitude among us human beings, even those of us who are religious persons or even religious “professionals”. The position we occupy is not enough to make us compassionate, as we see in the conduct of the priest and Levite who, seeing a dying man on the side of the road, pass to the other side (cf. Lk 10:31-32). They would have thought: “It’s not up to me”. There are always justifications; at times they are even codified and give rise to “institutional disregard”, as was the case with lepers: “Of course, they have to keep their distance; that is the right thing to do”. This all too human attitude also generates structures lacking compassion.
At this point we can ask ourselves: are we conscious – we, in the first place – of having been the object of God’s compassion? In a particular way, I ask this of you, brother cardinals and those about to become cardinals: do you have a lively awareness of always having been preceded and accompanied by his mercy? This awareness was always present in the immaculate heart of the Virgin Mary, who praises God as her “Saviour”, for he “looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant” (Lk 1:48).
I find it helpful to see myself reflected in the passage of Ezekiel 16 that speaks of God’s love for Jerusalem. It concludes with the words: “I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall know that I am the Lord, in order that you may remember and be confounded, and never open your mouth again because of your shame, when I forgive you all that you have done” (Ezek 16:62-63). Or again, in that other prophecy of Hosea: “I will bring her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her… There shall she respond as in the days of her youth, as at the time when she came out of the land of Egypt (2:14-15).
Do we have a lively awareness of this compassion that God feels for us? It is not something optional, or a kind of “evangelical counsel”. No, it is essential. Unless I feel that I am the object of God’s compassion, I cannot understand his love. This is not a reality that can be explained. Either I feel it or I don’t. If I don’t feel it, how can I share it, bear witness to it, bestow it on others? Concretely: am I compassionate towards this or that brother or sister, that bishop, that priest? … Or do I constantly tear them down by my attitude of condemnation, of indifference?
On this lively awareness also depends the ability to be loyal in our own ministry. This also holds true for you, brother cardinals. The readiness of a cardinal to shed his own blood – as signified by the scarlet color of your robes – is secure if it is rooted in this awareness of having been shown compassion and in the ability to show compassion in turn. Otherwise, one cannot be loyal. So many disloyal actions on the part of ecclesiastics are born of the lack of a sense of having been shown compassion, and by the habit of averting one’s gaze, the habit of indifference.
Today, let us implore, through the intercession of the apostle Peter, the grace to have a compassionate heart, in order to be witnesses of the One who has looked with favor upon us, who chose us, consecrated us and sent us to bring to everyone his Gospel of salvation.

anyway , the tabloid scandal that lasted the entire run of the show--about how ethan wasnt a crane, but a BENNET bc IVY was doing SAM but married JULIAN for $$$, and theresa AND whitney find out and pilar is like ‘dont tell anyone!!’ but gwen and rebecca (her mother) found out about it and plant the story in some tabloid that apparently EVERYBODY reads and frames Theresa
and OF COURSE the tabloid is printed and sent to all 20 residents of Harmony on the day of theresa and ethan’s wedding!!!
and proving that she DIDN’T DO THAT is therea’s plot for 7 seasons!!! and ethan NEVER believes HER but believes EVERYTHING gwen tells him bc he��s a fucking idiot.

Likely due to Passions' school-aged target audience, the show often presented large, wild storylines for the summer, which often took place outside of Harmony. In 1999, a carnival came to town as characters were introduced; 2000 saw the Prom Boat Disaster storyline and 2001 witnessed the failed double-wedding of popular couples Luis and Sheridan and Ethan and Theresa, and their subsequent journey to Bermuda, where Sheridan apparently perished in a boat explosion and Theresa wound up married to Ethan's ex-stepfather, Julian Crane. In 2002, Julian and Timmy set out on a journey in the magical land of Oz as Theresa was "executed" for Julian's "murder"; 2003 saw six characters (Chad, Whitney, Fox, Theresa, Ethan, and Gwen) travel to Los Angeles for the summer (and into October), while, in 2004, Luis and Sheridan traveled to Puerto Arena, Mexico, to retrieve his younger sister, Paloma (and ended up finding his missing father, Martin, and her "dead" mother, Katherine). The plot of the summer in 2005 was a deadly earthquake and tsunami, which destroyed much of Harmony and resulted in the death of James' mother, Maureen, while 2006 saw the extravagant Passions Vendetta plot,[34] in which Alistair lured seventeen people (Whitney, Simone, Paloma, Chad, Ethan, Theresa, Gwen, Lena, Spike, Jessica, Maya, Noah, Esme, Fancy, Luis, Beth, and Marty) to Rome, where he planned to take over the world with a chalice stolen from the Pope's private chambers; the plot saw the death of Lena, Maya, Alistair, Beth, and Marty.
Summer 2007 saw the resolution of the "blackmailer" storyline as Vincent Clarkson was revealed to be the half-man/half-woman blackmailer, and Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald was saved from execution for Vincent's crimes by Endora's spell that turned back time in the execution chamber. In 2008, the show spent its final summer on the air wrapping up its plotlines at a rapid pace, with Alistair Crane being killed once and for all, the final showdowns between the main characters and the newly introduced villains Viki, Juanita, Pretty, and Vincent, Tabitha's redemption as a born again Christian who sacrifices her powers to save the residents of Harmony, the return of Antonio and his reunion with Sheridan, the mass weddings of Fancy and Luis, Paloma and Noah, Miguel and Kay, and Edna and Norma (the first gay couple ever to go down the aisle on a soap opera), and Gwen and Rebecca being exposed for their crimes as Theresa and Ethan finally married.
