1980s Horror Film Character Names
I totally forgot I’d started making this last year! I think I never posted it because I wanted to find more names, but there’s already a decent amount and I don’t feel like being that tedious about names right now lol.
It’s first & last names (separated for mix & match potential) of characters from iconic late 1970s & 1980s horror movies. I think I started looking for cheesier B-movies to pull from, but yeah it’s been a whole year so I forget.

“1, 2 Freddy’s coming for you…”
On Sunday 6 May, 2012 “Church” Street in Parramatta was ironically renamed Elm Street as a massive Horror Pop Culture Event was held there at The Sebel Hotel with one of the most beloved serial killers in the history of horror movies, Robert Englund – Freddy Krueger – attending alongside his fellow victims Lisa Wilcox who played Alice Johnson in Nightmare on Elm Street 4 and 5 and Ken Sagoes of Roland Kincaid in Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and 4.Furthermore, they were joined by 2 iconic Australian actors, Roger Ward from Mad Max and John Jarratt from Wolf Creek, making it a perfect event to attend.
“3,4, Better Lock Your Door”
Spotlight Report hanging out with Freddy Krueger and his victims Lisa Wilcox and Ken Sagoes
Die-hard fans arrived at the venue before 10 am in their Nightmare-Horror movies t-shirts, Freddy Krueger’s sweaters and even a zombie stripper! Doors finally opened at 10 inaugurating Robert Englund’s photography session for the joy of all fans. Mr. Englund, was the nicest serial killer ever, joking, doing Freddy’s voice while meeting and greeting everyone, wearing his iconic claw for photos, making some extremely die-hard fans cry! They also took photos with other guests, including a full Nightmare cast picture with Robert, Lisa and Ken – a priceless moment which will probably not happen again here.
“5,6, Grab Your Crucifix“
Following the photos, the first Q&A session started as Ken Sagoes and Lisa Wilcox jumping on stage to answer questions from everyone. During the Q&A Ken mentioned how passionate he is about writing and acting, inviting everyone to check his new comic book and his organization GBC – Giving Back Corporation, whose mission is to help people to get started in the creative business, hoping to promote educational goals among youth. Miss Wilcox on the other hand, was asked about her experience on the Nightmare films and her opinion on the 2010’s Nightmare on Elm Street Remake, saying that they could do many remakes, but Robert Englund will always be the one and only, amidst round of applauses.
“7,8, Gonna Stay Up Late”
Spotlight Report with Roger Ward
After the lunch break, the event continued with the Australian actors, Roger Ward and John Jarratt sharing some funny experiences on their work in Australian films and the industry in general. Moreover, Mr. Ward spoke about his fellow Mad Max star, Mel Gibson while being asked about his latest behavior, joking throughout his answer while Mr. Jarratt explained the origin of the laughter on the infamous Mick Taylor in Wolf Creek.
“9, 10, Never Sleep Again“
Around 3:30pm, as some collector’s items were auctioned, the moment that everyone was waiting for has arrived as Robert Englund appeared, ready to ‘claim the soul’ of everyone there. Mr. Englund, was extremely friendly, giving long answers to all the questions, quoting from the films, mentioning his favorite kill (which was needling the deaf guy in Nightmare 6) and sharing personal experiences from his first film Buster and Billie, and a recent story where he meet Patrick Stewart and they got to share a Limo back to their hotel.
“You know, I saw it in my dream. Th-There was this horrible man…” (Alice Johnson)
As soon as Robert’s Q&A ended, the autograph session started, with a long line of fans carrying pictures, DVDs and some very weird collector’s items to get signed, such as DVD packs from Latin America, vintage toys, original posters and many more.
“How sweet. Fresh meat”
Spotlight Report with Wolf Creek’s John Jarratt
Overall, this was an epic event as all the public left the place with a huge smile on their face in meeting a huge icon of our Horror Pop Culture – a guy who behind the scars and all the makeup is one of the nicest and most talented actors we had ever had the chance to meet, alongside the international and Australian stars there.
“You’ve got their powers. I’ve got their souls. Come on! “
We must thank Culture Shock Events, for letting us be a part of the best NIGHTMARE we`d ever have! And stay tuned for our exclusive interviews with Lisa Wilcox, Ken Sagoes and the man himself, Mr. Robert Englund.

THINGS I DID NOT SHARE
Michael has dominated my blog the past few days. Other matters, I let slip to the wayside. Just went through my notes. I want to share some of the items with you. I am reporting them as they appear with no order or sequence.
I was watching MSNBC yesterday morning. A reporter at a California college campus. Talking with 40-50 students.
Millennials. The hope of the Democratic Party.
How many of you are going to vote? Only one hand raised. When others were questioned, they said their only concern was school. An attitude like don’t bother me.
Based on news reports, I thought this was the year the kids were going to vote. A rush to the polls. Not so. If the Democratic Party is depending on them, forget it!
Something wrong organization wise within the party. Democratic Party leaders constantly talk about the millennial vote. Have they got it wrong! The millennials will not be contributing this election to saving America.
I came across this quote in How To Win A fight With A Conservative: “We can’t be lulled into complacency. You have to remember that Adolph Hitler was elected in a democratic Germany. I’m not comparing him to Adolph Hitler. What I’m saying is there is the potential.”
Sounds like someone talking about Trump. Not so. Obama. Would you believe? Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga) expressing fears one week after Barack Obama was elected President in 2008. Broun believed Obama would create a security force akin to the Gestapo to impose a Marxist dictatorship.
The government screws up. Suddenly, the simple becomes a bureaucratic mess.
An Ohio woman got a ticket for failing to use her seat belt. When she went to pay, she was told her driver’s license had been suspended for 3 months for failure to pay child support. She told the Motor Vehicle person there had to be a mistake. She never had children. In fact, she had never been pregnant.
She has been busting her ass to get the problem resolved. A government goof has turned into a bureaucratic nightmare. No one can help her. Each agency blames the other or the computer. In the meantime, she is not driving.
Shakespeare wrote in the Merchant of Venice when he had Portia speaking to Shylock re mercy: “The quality of mercy is not strained.”
It was 2000. Two black brothers ages 21 and 20 were being sentenced for murder in New York City. They had murdered a gang member who had sexually assaulted one of their wives.
Justice Gustin Reichbach could have sentenced them to life. A maximum sentence. Never to be released.
The Judge felt a degree of sympathy for the brothers. Instead, he sentenced them to 17 1/2 years to life. Significant. It meant they would be able to seek parole after serving 17 1/2 years.
Both were paroled last year after 17 1/2 years.
Today, one attends Cornell and the other Columbia. All because one Judge saw something in the brothers that others might not have.
Senator David Perdue (R-Ga) is typical of a number of southern Republican politicians. Four examples why.
In the past few days, the Senator was being questioned by college students concerned that Georgia courts were preventing college students, primarily black, from voting based on a claim their registrations were improper. A total falsehood.
One of the students asked the question. He was holding his cell phone out to record the response.
The Senator “ripped” the phone out of the student’s hand.
The Senator’s office says it was an error in judgment on the part of the Senator.
The Senator in a recent speech compared Trump to Churchill. He said, Trump is “not a choir boy, but a man of history.”
Two weeks ago, he described Kavanaugh protesters as “Nazis.”
Can’t even leave Obama alone. At a recent Facts and Freedom Coalition in June, the Senator said let Obama’s days be few. He relied on Psalm 109:8: “Let his days be few.”
God loving men?
Now to yesterday news and happenings.
Stone crab season opens today! Hooray!
Stopped first at the Rum Barrel last night. Sunday night my Lauri fix. A wonderful lady.
Then to the Chart Room. Glad I stopped. Jean Thornton at the bar. She introduced me to Don Kincaid. They are old friends.
Don has been with Mel Fisher in one capacity or another since the 1970’s. He is the man who found the first gold coin when the Atocha was discovered. He has written for National Geographic. Serves on the Mel Fisher Board. Today, a professional photographer.
Susan and Huggie came in. We had met before, though I did not recall them. They understood. Susan and Huggie are from Charleston, South Carolina and visit Key West twice a year.
Tonight, Dueling Bartenders at Aqua. Jean and I plan on meeting.
Enjoy your day!

All Hallows' Eve. Overview :
“All Hallows’ Eve” – hear the whispering voices … began as a Halloween flash fiction writing contest on Facebook, sponsored by Sharon Van Orman.
Writer ‘friends’ joined in and produced the harrowing, spine-chilling short stories found in this collection.
The contest ran for the month of October and each week’s twenty-five entries were voted on with comments; the story with the most comments won.
The winning writers of the first four weeks competitions then competed for an ‘author’s dream’ prize package of free ebooks, paperbacks, hardcovers, gift cards and more.
But everyone agreed all the stories were excellent…
The Facebook thread exploded. Comments and new ‘friends’ were acquired … all with the same goal … writing!
This is not one person’s achievement, but a collective of people from around the block and around the world.
~*~
