I’d like to thank the community, the people behind the podcast, and finally the Crew of the Per Aspera and co for helping me through many difficult times, for making me love D&D and bringing me so much joy that I cannot help but grieve even though this end comes with new beginnings.

been thinking about how maxim is trying to distance himself emotionally from vr-la so that he doesn’t get hurt, but he cannot make himself stop caring, so he still asks vr-la to come back, because he needs vr-la to keep coming back so that he knows if he’s dead or alive, but still trying to put their relationship back in the ‘strictly professional’ category, in a fruitless attempt to stop himself from caring

and vr-la not knowing ANY of this

So uh... RWD community... I made a new blog... I hope it actually works. It's @ask-vrla. I don't know how quality/in character it'll be but I hope you all like it. Just here for some silly lil fun. It might also feature the other mechanites. I don't know how active it'll be but I'm gonna try my best. So for all who want to, go check it out

Sometimes family is just an amnesiac robot who’s Mystra’s specialist boy, a monk who was raised by mindflayers and who has a second secret soul that she’s using to summon the ghosts of her ancestors thru anger, the worlds most chaotic ship captain/mechanic who CANNOT stop breaking her own ship, the dad friend/cook who left the ship to get married, the githyanki deserter they rescued from prison, almost the entire previous crew of the ship, like all the mechanic/captain’s former co-workers, a drow deserter who kidnapped the monk that one time but they’re chill now, the monk’s githzerai mentor who cannot stop almost dying, another monk raised by the same mindflayers who has been actively tracking the mindflayers, and the dad friend’s ex-girlfriend/wife. Oh, also the twink and the lion man.

Thinking bout a post campaign Maxim design.

Still formal and uptight, but a big captain style coat not quite fully buckled, strange swirling scars from the mindflayer battle, tools and navigation equipment in near holders on his belt. Not gaudy or flamboyant, just… a little bit rough, maybe with a tiny bit of swagger as he grows more confident in his place in the world again. Eyes brighter and a faint smile starting to become his default expression more than the blank one he formally wore. He lets the scars and scratches he gains stay, only buffing out the very minor or particularly damaging ones. No longer does he try to seem perfect and impenetrable. He lets the world wear on him, and he lets himself be as himself in all the vulnerable and slightly imperfect ways that manifests as.

Just finished the rolling with difficulty campaign one finale, i think i need to sit down and absorb it all

Are we ignoring that maxim and VR-LA are as canon as they’ll ever be?

literally Living for the dynamic between the Maxim&VR-LA dynamic and the VR-LA&Vahs dynamic. Like, on the one hand. I ship the prior as a qpr and that’s basically it. On the Other. It would be… so, so funny. If Vahs were like “oh no I’m not flirting with the robits cause I Want them, I’m doing it cause it gets a Rise outta both of ‘em.” Except he Never Clarifies That and Maxim and VRLA are the Exact brand of Idiot that would be baffled but take it seriously. Am i spouting nonsense rn or do y’all see this too? Like Vahs is Here for the robit duo he just flirts with everything that moves and meanwhile the Business Associates are in Shambles trying to understand why Vahs is flirting with BOTH of them. Does he know they’re together? Does he know mechanites are asexual? Is he interested in them? Is he joking? What the &$:@?
