Maryse Elizabeth Patricia Kerrigan (Kim) was a British model during the 1960s. She married Keith Moon in the mid sixties and left him with their daughter in the mid seventies, when she could take no more of his erratic behaviour.. She found support from Small Face lan McLagan and became Kim McLagan in 1978 following Keith's death. She tragically died in a traffic accident at the age of 57🌷🌷🌷

In loving memory of Kim Kerrigan Moon McLagan [30.12.1948-02.08.2006] 

Kim, born Maryse Elizabeth Patricia “Patsy” Kerrigan, was a British model during the ‘60s. Although she was born in Leicester, England, she would live in Malaysia, Uganda and Tanganyika before the age of seven. As a teenager, Kim was sent to a Catholic convent to get an education. She ran away multiple times and eventually settled down in Bournemouth as a hairdresser. The Dawn Academy accepted Kim as a model and she changed her name, Patsy, to avoid any confusion with Pattie Boyd. At the age of 15, Kim had become a model in teen magazines. 

Kim met drummer Keith Moon in 1964 at Bournemouth’s Disco a Go Go. The two began a relationship and Kim moved to London in order to be with Keith. At the height of her modelling career in 1965, Kim discovered that she was pregnant. Keith and Kim were married at a private ceremony in 1966 and had a daughter, Mandy. Kim promptly retired from modelling (returning briefly in 1969). She frequently accompanied her husband to various events, such as the opening of The Beatles’ Apple Boutique in 1967, the “Our World” broadcast in 1967, and the Rolling Stones’ Rock and Roll Circus broadcast in 1968. She was also present on the road, such as when The Who went to Leeds in 1970. Kim and Keith’s marriage was extremely toxic and violent, and Kim left Keith in 1973. 

Kim had begun a relationship with Small Faces keyboardist Ian McLagan before leaving Keith. Ian was a friend of both Keith and Kim, but Keith became outraged when he discovered the two were seeing each other. They married after Keith’s death in 1978 (with Kim wearing black out of respect) and settled down in Keith’s Malibu home before moving to Austin, Texas. 

In later years Kim started her own successful skincare business, KM Skincare, which offered aromatherapy, facials, and waxing (she had worked at Lake Austin Spa and graduated from an aesthetician institute in 1991). Kim was tragically killed in a car accident in 2006; she was checking a text message when she died.
