In the Barsoom marshes, near the Island of Ompt, man-eaters are stalking Green Martians and Kangaroo Men! And though Dejah Thoris rides a mighty winged Malagor, it will take more than just her might to fend off the man-eaters - it will take the combined might of all the allies she's learned to trust in her epic journeys!

Started painting a beastmen army for AoS recently so been inspired to sketch more beasty themed stuff. Malagor is my fav lord to play in total war so here's him... minus his leathery flappy robe bits.

I'm like "oh I don't need to watch the direct, i have more interesting things 2 do" and then i find out they sent my super blorbo to purgatory

So far so good! The Greenskins here are more interested in fighting the alarming number of daemons that have torn through the veil than they are bothering with one little rat. Heliinx even points them in the direction of a band of them. She even considers hiring a group of Orkish mercenaries, since her Lizardman had been seperated from her, unfortunately.

Her next barrier was the beastmen. Malagor, the Winged Terror and a wizard around her own caliber, lurked here. There was no love lost between the beastkin and ratkin. It would be best to avoid them on the way to Clan Mors...

Barsoom (in Detail)

Barsoom is one of the better-known planets in the Sol system. On earth, it is called Mars. The Planet itself is home to various forms of indigenous life and several sentient races. The languages of Barsoom are at least partially telepathic, but they cannot probe with their minds, only project.  Anyone who cannot project may as well have Iron Mind to them.  This form of projective telepathy has a range equal to their voice (constitution) and costs 3 points. Humans/Earth Folk on Barsoom receive a +2 bonus to all Strength-related rolls, a +4 bonus to all constitution-related rolls regarding fatigue, a +2 to all melee combat rolls, quadrupled jumping distances, and a -2 to all throwing tasks (overshooting). Native barsoomians on earth or earth-like planets receive a -2 to all strength-related rolls, a -4 to fatigue-related rolls, and 1/4 jumping distances.

If they can get multiple paw strikes on a target, they will attempt to (2 extra).

Name: Thoat Motivation: Ride Critter Type: Alien Attributes: Str 6, Dex 4, Con 4, Int 1, Per 3, Will 2 Ability Scores: Muscle 18, Combat 12, Brains 10, Life Points: 50 Drama Points: 0-5 Special Abilities: Natural Toughness Name - Score - Damage - Notes Bite - 12 - 8 - Slash/stab Thoats are the horses of Mars. Used by many of the races as a pack animals and to ride. The Green and Red Martians both raise these animals. The Thoats of the Green martians are often much stronger than those of the red martians (+1 Strength)

They retreated to the highest mountains in an effort to ascend and become members of the Powers that Be. Their occasional pull to aid their brethren on this planet is the one thing that keeps them from ascension but is also the one thing that keeps them tied to mortal needs. They appear as standard Grey aliens, but are some 10ft tall, long and spindly, and have 7 fingers. They were instrumental in driving off the Invading Sarmaks at the turn of the previous century. For other martian animals and monsters use already given statistics for various monsters, with only minor alterations: Zitidars/Orluk = Elephant (Terra Primate)/Elephant with Fur Ulsio = Rats in AFMBE Sith = Giant Mosquitoes (poison Str. 4 instead of bloodsucking) Giant spiders

From left to right; A Masena (green noseless cyclops ape men) and a Tarid, both inhabitants of Mars’ moon Phobos, known to the Barsoomians as Thuria and the natives as Ladan. A Kangaroo Man of Mars, A Hormad or synthetic man of Mars, are Hormad riding a Malagor Giant Bird. And finally a Morgor of Eurobus or Skeleton Man of Jupiter, the world known as Sasoom to Barsoom.

I think one problem I found with Beastmen in Total Warhammer 2 is that honestly they just fucked Khazrak by placing him where they did, Brettonia and the Wood Elves are too heavily fortified, Malagor and Morghur are both in better positions where they can build up momentum. Also it’s retarded that Morghur is next to Boris when that’s where Khazrak should be anyway
