Dual (2022, dir. Riley Stearns) - review by Rookie-Critic

Dual was an odd movie. It was hard to tell if some of the acting was just bad or if it was a choice made by the director, like the robotic way in which a lot of characters talk in Yorgos Lanthimos' films (I'm leaning towards the latter after a quick Google search of his other movies). It was without a doubt a great premise, and Karen Gillan and Aaron Paul are fantastic, but it was a little hard to get around some of the stylistic decisions made (if they were, indeed, stylistic decisions). I feel the same way about this film as I did about Wolf from last year. Not bad, but not really my thing, I guess.

Score: 6/10
